Hi!
We need some help with using Priceline. We will be in WDW and Vero Beach in late October and need a room in the Orlando Area for October 27. Does anyone have an idea as to what hotels we can get on Priceline under the location of "Disney World Vicinity" and the hotels of "Deluxe" or "Resorts"? Last but not least what prices could we expect to get through the service for late October for these hotel categories? Sorry for all of the questions and thanks for all of the help!!

Scott and Sunny;

The best resource I have found for your questions is www.biddingfortravel.com. Study the info there and be sure and read all of Priceline's policies thoroughly.

Good luck!! :)

Be careful.... there have not been many success for hotels in the WDW area for after the beginning of Sep. It looks like Priceline doesnt have a lot of inventory for Oct and Nov YET. Please do not overbid now in order to get a room for Oct. Be patient and try bidding a little closer..... dont want you to pay more for a room on Priceline than you typically should in that area.

Finding a cheap (priceline or code rate) hotel room for October 27th has been challenging for me. We are going to be there for the Disney Martial Arts FEstival at Wide World of Sports on the 26th and 27th so we need a room, but I haven't had any luck yet. Keep trying closer to the date, but don't forget to make a back up reservation in case you can't get anything.

I tried Priceline for the first time last December. My mistake was to both increase my bid and the area to include Universal. The hotel ended up being only 10 minutes from the Disney entrance. You may be able to lower your bid by choosing the Disney/Universal area at a lower price.

We booked a room thru Priceline for 20$. We did have AMEX put in 25$(I don't think the special is valid now). We put in for a three star and got the Rosen Centre. It looks very nice. I believe it is fairly close to Univeral.

No Amex bonus money right now, but priceline does have a $5 bonus. I tried again this week for Nov.. no luck bidding the typical rates that come up on priceline :( It is hard to be patient! :)
