We want to surprise my little brother on his 9th brithday to a breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We are going to get a button for him to wear from DTD, so the CM and so on will be able to know it is his b-day. Can anyone tell me what sorts of neat things have happened to you/your kid if you have ever done a birthday here? Is it a good choice? If there is anything else I should know, please tell!

They brought my DS a cupcake with a candle it in & sang to him. Plus I think he got a sign birthday card.

Ack, tried to share some photos with you and it didn't work.
Anyway, we went to breakfast for my dd Shelby's 8th Birthday at Chef Mickey's 7/31/04, and they gave her a cupcake with huge piles of whipped cream around it, and candies sprinkled on top and a candle of course. She also got a cute placemat that we saved. The character interaction was good, Goofy hung out at our table the most and "goofed off with her" but I don't have any good pics of him, they were all blurry from me laughing! My oldest requested to go to CM's for her birthday dinner next week, so we'll see if they do anything differently...Make sure you tell them it's his birthday when you make the PS, and remind them at the podium, if they don't mention it first.

We celebrated DS's 3rd birthday there for breakfast. Yes, our waitress brought a cute birthday cupcake and placemat, but other than that, they didn't do anything out of the ordinary. DS didn't know any different, but I expected alittle more.
DD's 5th birthday was celebrated at Park Faire with Cinderella and when the cake came out, Cinderella came to sing to her. A birthday to remember.
