He will get a Disney Visa but doesn't go to Disney World. He wants to give his reward points to me and his dad for when we go. Can he either give me his reward card or transfer his points to us?

The rewards card looks and acts like a gift card from any store. Your DS will not be able to transfer his pooints to your card but he can order a card from his account to give to you. The would be sent to his home and it would have to be activated from his home phone, pretty much the same way that you activate a new credit card.

That'll work out fine since he still lives at home! (He's only 20 but has a wonderful job!)

Thanks for your reply. Have a Disney day!

Wow, lucky you to have a DS with a great job at only 20.

It works both ways here. MY 21 you DD is in Orlando this week using MY points rewards card. They don't even look at hte name on the card, just swipe it and give you the receipt.

Check with Bankone...there was a blip I read about being able to "share" reward points within a family or something like that.

Even though I got such great advice, I decided to call and check. He cannot transfer the points in but can order the rewards gift card and give it to us. Thank you all for your help.

Just make sure that all your reward points are transferred before you leave. They actually have to have authorization from the person who is listed on the card.

We have a Disney Visa in my husband's name and it came with a card for me in my name - but apparently DH is the primary holder. Anyway, we didn't transfer all of our points before our trip because we were having one last statement ending while we were in transit. Anyway, when we were at Downtown Disney I called to have the reward points transferred. They wouldn't do it and wanted to talk to DH to get his "approval". Luckily he was standing beside me at the time. It seems funny that I have a card with my name on it, I am the one using the card, I am the one making the payments, etc., but they need DH's approval. They sure don't need his approval when I sign the payment check!!

Anyway, just a heads up.

I know exactly how you feel. My Disney Visa is in both my and DH's name but he's the primary! I filled out the info for the card, I write the checks for the payments, it's so aggrivating! But, if DS does get his card, (he's only 20 with not a whole lot of credit yet but he has a wonderful job on the Union Pacific Railroad and I just sent the application in online a few days ago) I'll make sure to have all points accounted for before I leave. Any leftover points, we'll save until next year!

Thanks!
