Why does not someone stop me before I go to Traget??
Just spent way too much but did get some greatdeals.
In the camping area the disposable ponchos are on clearance for 44 cents.
Also, same area the Coleman lightsticks are on sale for $1.24 (2 in a package) these are the large camping light sticks, orange, green, blue and yellow.
I got tons more stuff but these were the bargains I am most proud of as they relate to our next trip. Yea Iknwo it is June but every purchase towards it makes it seem closer. Have a good day.

I just got back from Target and I didn't even go down the camping aisle...drats, I went for the toys but my Target only had toys at 50% whereas some other Targets in the U.S. have already marked toys down to 75%.........did get some bargains though ...........
in the $1.00 aisle, they have light up fiber optic wands and sticks and DS got some mega block military sets for $2.48.

I know. I got caught up in the 75% off Christmas and 90% off Christmas. I stocked up on gifts for birthdays for the rest of the year. I bought 5 bath gift sets (lotions, body wash, etc.) that weren't Christmassy. My older DD likes to give these to friends for Bdays. I got tons of little trinket stuff that I thought I could put in the Easter baskets this year (legos, lip gloss kits, etc.). I got half a dozen pairs of Christmas socks for the kids to give friends next Christmas. Plus about a dozen Christmas pins/brooches. AT Kohls I got 5 boxed necklace/earring sets at 75% off clearance. These weren't in Christmassy packages either.
I outlayed a lot of money but I should be set for gifts this year. I hope it doesn't backfire though. I am starting to second guess myself.

Don't fret, Maggie. I've done this for twenty years or more and it always pays off. I spent more than $100 on sales items this week, but I got some terrific stuff and the bargains were incredible. I got birthday gifts for my neice, several items to put in the gift closet for next Christmas, and several toys for the birthday box I go to when we get those last minute birthday party invitations.
Look at it this way, after the first year, you are always one year ahead and buying for one year only. The interest you would earn if that money was in the bank is far less than the amount you saved. The first year it might be a little painful to prepay the first, but you'll be SO glad you did when you use them.
I buy Christmas gifts all year when I find bargains. Around Oct/Nov I dig it all out and make my Christmas list. Usually I'm down to a very few gifts remaining to be purchased. I save a ton.
JMHO.
