Hello,
I am looking for nice 2 bedroom condo/suite and would like to keep drive time to and fro WDW short. My wife and I are traveling to WDW in April with our 11 month old. This will be our first time with children and ,though we usually stay on-site, we would like a larger place to accommodate a sleeping infant while mom and dad relax. However, we will be taking a break in the middle of the day and need short drive times. We always rent a car so disney transportation is not a benefit we use. Thanks.

I have booked a room at Island Club resort and spa.
it has 2 and 3 bedrooms, well it has a couple of different rooms. I went to their site and got it for $108 a night and that is a 3 bedroom.
Check them out. They are suppose to be 7 miles from Disney. So I didnt think that would be too bad.
I am looking for any reviews on this place and so far haven't found any bad ones.

Check out Cypress Pointe for your dates. We are going there for the first time in April! :cool1: They get pretty good reviews, for the most part, here on the DIS and on Trip Advisor. You could get a 2 bdrm unit for $75 through Hotelkingdom.com in the older section (Cypress Pointe), the interiors of which have just been renovated (actually, they may still be finishing up, but should be done by April is my understanding). Or you could try for the newer section, called CP Grande Villas, which runs for $98.21 per night for a 2 bdrm unit. CP is located about 5 min. away from DTD in the Lake Buena Vista area.

Cypress Pointe, Sheraton Vistana, Embassy Suites are the pretty close on one side - DD side.
AK side - Silver Lake (would stay at), Westgate (some people like, others hate it), Magic Tree - it doesn't get high rating - it is not fancy - but a clean room and great service,
close to Epcot and Studios - the new Fairfield Orlando at Bonnet Creek
Close to the MK - no offsite condo is close - on site VWL

Thanks for the input. I found a 1 bedroom at the Farifield Bonnet Creek on the TUG classifieds that was available during the week we're going. Working out rental arrangements now.

Yes. It was only cleared land last time I was down. My wife and I stayed at POR and noticed the access road for the construction. This link below is a map that one timeshare rental site has for the resort but I believe it is off a bit. The red star that is supposed to be the resort looks as if it sits right beside the Epcot parking area.

no I think you are referrring to the new DVC - SSR. it is close to DD. this is being built by WDW.
OKW is directly across the street (the back street not the main street) from POFQ. this construction is further down this street.
this is close to CBR and POP century. they are good half mile down the road.

Windsor Palms is very nice. They have 2 and 3 bedroom condos, 3 bedroom townhomes and 3-6 bedroom pool homes. 2 bed condos start at under $75/nite. Check vrbo.com and http://www.windsor-palms-resort.com/
