Help.....I can't find them ANYWHERE!! Of course except MSMS and from what I have read I don't think they will be in business anymore, also they sold them for 22.00 a piece!! I need three!! I have seen them on other sites for more than half that, but sold out. Does anyone know where I can get these. Alot of people said the xmas store at DTD but again it seems they don't have them. I need to get them personalized because my kids have unusual names! (not in italy though!) thanks

We bought ours at the Christmas shop at DTD. My daughter's name is JILLIAN and we had to have her badge personalized. I found my son's name at one of the Disney Outlets (Premium Outlets, I think). I read a post recently that said that they were sold out at the DTD Christmas shop, but maybe that was just during the busy holiday. I would check there once you arrive at Disney.
bought mine at the christmas store in dtd, too, but i remember somethig about how they are also for sale somewhere in MGM.
can they be ordered from WDW's Mail Order Dept. (407) 363–6200 (sorry but i'm not 100% sure this is still a valid number)

thanks dj2, it was a valid number however the very unhelpful woman said I have to buy them in person at DTD or MGM which, from what I have been reading are out of them!! When I asked her if they had them, all she said again was "you have to purchase them in person". She could not/would not tell me if they had anymore or would even try to ask someone if they had them!! Very undisney!! :sad2:
try strategy #2. call back and talk to someone else! maybe you'll get lucky.

We just returned from a weeklong trip to WDW yesterday and I noted to DW on Monday as we strolled through AK that I hadn't seen the Guest of Honour badges anywhere -- and we were in what seemed like every store throughout the parks and DTD.
Her suggestion was one that I think was mentioned here a while ago, "Perhaps they were too much like the CM name tags and some people were getting confused."
I did see, however, various name pins at the World of Disney store at DTD. I wonder if they have replaced the GOH badges with these pins.

We were watching our old videos of our family at WDW in 1997 in prep for this trip and we had taped them making our GOH badges at Epcot! It was pretty neat since we still have them. Two of them have stars on them from their Disney cruise in 2000 (not sure what the stars meant). Unfortunately, our discovery over a few visits was that if you get suntan lotion on them, it smears the mickey and the white border, so one of my sons' is pretty bad and DH's is smeared some. I was hoping to get replacements, but I guess I should just be grateful that we still have ours it sounds like!

Well it seems from my extensive search that they had discontinued the red ones and they might (not sure if this is true or not) be waiting for the Celebration in May to put new ones out w/ that theme? I thought they would be so cute for the kids, oh well, I tried!!

I asked at both the 5 & 10 in MGM and at guest services in MK - both told me that they no longer sold them ... but since they had had a high number of requests, they might bring them back ???
Let's hope!

What are Guest of Honor Badges?
one loved it and other was less than thrilled. The one that loved it, thought it was cool that the CM, characters, etc. would call her by name. My other DD, is shy and was not as thrilled by it.
And to those that worry about their kids wearing name tags, if you child is far enough from you so that you can't see them (and a possible stranger), you have some other problems. Namely, keep a better eye on your child!
Hope you find some of the badges and have a great time!

Going in May and was lucky to order two badges for DS and DD this morning by calling the Christmas Store at DTD. I had to first leave a message on their answering machine (1-407-828-2042), but was thrilled to receive a return call within an hour! The employee (VERY nice!) took my order and I should receive the pins within 10 days, engraved and all! :cool1: Only thing is that I was only able to order RED pins...She did not have any pink ones available and had no information about getting any pink pins in the near future...Sooooo, I took what I could get and ordered red badges!
Good luck shopping! :flower1:

The pink princess ones are actually from DisneyLAND, but only says that on the back. We had quite a few wdw CMs ask us where we found DD's princess one.
Feralpeg posted that the red ones are back at wdw now.

I ordered two badges this morning and the total was $12.95. $6.00 per badge including custom name engraving and shipping. Order should arrive to me within 10 days, I was told. Good luck! (P.S. I believe the engraving IS custom, as my daughter's name is quite original and not easily found on anything!)

Ok, I had to post this seperatly so anybody who needs this info can find it fast, thanks to all who helped me find in from my last thread.
Guest of Honor badges can be found at the Christmas Store in DTD. You may call them 407-828-2042 and order them over the phone. I called and left a message, they called me back about 2 days later. They were very nice and the best thing........they are having them sent to my hotel the day we arrive so I can save on shipping! I will just pick them up at the Poly gift shop! She suggested this, it never occurred to me to do this!! They are the traditional red ones w/ Mickey and are $6 each (Magic Kingdom Mega store had them for $22 each!!)
I am already having a gift basket w/ snacks and autograph books sent to our family from the WDW florist for the day we arrive and now these will be there too, the kids will be so excited, I will tell them Mickey sent them to welcome them to Disney. Thanks again to all!! :Pinkbounc  :wizard:.. This is a quote from another person that had posted this info, thought I would pass it along ??

Ok, I just got back from Disneyland, and they had both the red (Mickey) and the pink (princess). They can be found at the Newsstand at the entrance to Disneyland AND at Souvenir 66 in DCA.
Cost $5 (includes engraving).
They're not the WDW ones, but I wasn't having luck with ordering from Days of Christmas.
You can order the badges from DL over the phone (call their merchandise order number).
So now I have mine (plus 5 more for the DW, DS's, and DD's)!

You can still order WDW GoH badges from Days of Christmas. Just have some patience. I talked with them again yesterday (to find out where my badges were) and she said that half of the shipping department was out with the flu last week. So they're backed up a bit. That on top of just about everyone with a phone and Disney on their mind has been calling. LOL Just keep trying.

I just got an e-mail from Laughingplacestore.com that WDW is now offering different styles of the name badges. They have Stitch, Tinkerbelle, Chip&Dale, Pooh & Friends, Villians for boys, Villians for girls, Belle & Beast, Figment, Jessie, Dumbo and the Lion King. I checked them out on line and they are adorable.

I dont think that it is all of them. As far as I am aware I was the first to find out that they were coming out with the new badges by a CM about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Can we get these when we get there? Are Rebecca, Olivia, Austin odd names and if they are how long to personalize? I would love to get them for the kids but we leave in 3 days so it is too late to order huh?? They don't typically have any that are already engraved and they will put any proper name on them. Are you staying in a Disney resort? If so, I would call the DTD Christmas store, order them and ask that they be delivered to your resort. Many on these boards have reported good luck when doing that. Otherwise, it probably doesn't take more than an hour to fill an order when you're down there.

Does the World of Christmas store in DTD ever answer their phone, or reply to messages? I know they must, as people have been able to order over the phone, but I am getting so frustrated! We leave in less than two days for POR and I really wanted to have badges waiting for my sons. I called several times with no answer, left a message on Monday, and have heard nothing. I've tried many times since then to call and hopefully speak with a live person, but keep getting the answering machine. I know we can go to DTD after we arrive and get the badges made then, but it would have been a lovely surprise for the kids.

I hope they come out with Goofy! I'd actually love a Nightmare b4 Christmas one as well. I must say compared to the male villians pin(gotta love Chernabog) I don't much care for the female version. Let's see we have The evil queen from Snow White, The evil queen from Snow White as the Hag, and Cruella) So that really only gives us two villians! Where's Maleificent? Anyhow, I probably shouldn't complain because I'm just happy we have them again! :rotfl:

You mean there's more! I think they had something like 15 styles. We had the red cast member one and 2 everyday princess ones we ordered last year. This year I added Stitch, Minnie and Daisy "best friends", 2 Tinks and a Buzz. BTW The princess ones are from Disneyland but they only say Disneyland on the back so it doesn't matter.

There are at least 14 that we know of here on the boards as of right now. Hopefully there will be more. (Like maybe Goofy. Hint hint Disney :) )
Disney brought out these new styles due to the popularity of the original GoH badges. They were selling out of the original ones so some big wig :) made a good financial move and brought out more styles to hopefully sell alot more units.

I got on GOH Mickey for DS5, a Jessie one for DD6, + a Stitch one for DD2. They are wonderful! I put them away, for us to put in the Easter baskets. The kids will be getting the easter baskets either in the van while we drive (First potty stop, we will sneak and put them out Easter morning) or at the hotel on arrival (have the CM slip it behind counter, and OOPS! Find it.) Woudl rather do the van idea though, so they can open the baskets etc while still bored at the tail end of the loooong drive. The third idea is at home a day early, RIGHT before leaving. But any way, I got my pins from laughingstock.com (orwhatever the name was from someone else's post, lol.) They got engraved (very unusual name for dd2). they look wonderful. And even with shipping, pretty reasonable. I'm excited!

Just got my order from Laughing Place. I ordered on February 2nd and they arrived on February 12th (standard USPS). They're a little bit different than the old style. These you can convert to a magnet or keychain and everything is included inside the package to do this. Also, the sticker on the outside of the badge states "Uptown Jewelers" in Magic Kingdom, "Celebrity 5 & 10" at MGM and "Days of Christmas" at DTD. I'm guessing that those are the stores where they are available.
