I just received info in the mail about AAA. I am thinking about joining. I did not realize that they offered discounts for Disney World.

I went to their site, and the ino about the new MYW packages was not up.

Here is my issue:

We are planning to book an 8 night MYW package with dining with the 7 day ticket with hopping. (Since Disney will not offer it any longer...we really need nine nights with a 10 day ticket.) We are more or less doing this for convience. I know you can get better deals by booking separately, using vouchers, codes, etc. and have done so in the past. But the dining option will let us try a lot of the restraunts that I cannot typically justify going to once we are down there, because of the cost. But, if I pay for it in advance...I will be "locked in".

Anyways, AAA can get a discount on just the room portion. Is this correct? We are planning to stay at Pop this time (oh how I want the Wilderness Lodge again...but, DS loves Pacman, and wants to stay at Pop.)

Does anyone know what the discount would be on 8 nights at Pop with dining and 7 day ticket.

And, can we get a ticket with hopping from AAA? (It seems that most of the info I have seen on here was for base tickets only.)

TIA!

The AAA discount is based on the season that you go and is a % off the room portion only. WDW is trying to stay away from putting any discount on the tickets. How long that will last, I don't know

Value and Moderate Discount:

Value season 20%

Regular season 15%

Peak season 15%

AAA only lists up to 6 nights. With dinning at at Value would be per person (no hopping, no AAA discount):

Value: $684,

Regular 759,

Peak, 793.

Each Junior is 423 and Each Child is 230.

AAA does not list exact dollars off the package, but claims you can save about $104 off the total room price based on double occupancy during Value season.

Our trip in Late April at Pop $93.00/night incl. tax with AAA discount.

Rack for that time is $99.00 + tax.

Our package with 8 nights/7day MWT, with hopping, and Dining for 2 adult, and 2 kids = $2488.18. incl tax at Pop century.

I haven't priced though AAA, just the 407-WDISNEY #

If you add the dining option, room goes to rack. You have to figure out, if the savings on food is worth the extra room cost. For our family, I think it is, because we typically eat 1 sit-down meal a day. Last time we went, we averaged $100-125.00/day for food. One sit down meal, with tax and tip, can be close to $90.00 by itself. Now I have a daughter (9), that thinks shes too old for a kids menu, so the meal plan would keep her costs down. Shes whining about it, but thats just the way it is.

I haven't switched to the package yet. I heavily leaning towards it, but if a better room-code comes out who knows.

Hope this helps.

Good luck :flower1:

I just got some AAA quotes yesturday for value season. The package discount was slight but you get some extra perks for booking with them b/c Jan is Disney month for AAA. Be careful about wich agent you use. MY AAA TA must be new b/c I asked her about hopping (how many per tix) and she said unlimited... Just not correct with the tix I was adding to our package. By the way the Charlotte NC AAA office has the old park hopper tickets left if anyone is interested. There is a $10 shipping fee per order.
