Does anyone ride a recumbent bike? are they any diff than reg exercise bikes? Im thinking I may hop on next wknd at the hotel we're staying at
Also what do you do for exercise when you dont swim?

I use them at my gym. They are alot easier on your "seat" :blush: than the upright bikes. You need to really concentrate on keeping your pace up to get a good workout. The ones I use have pre-programmed settings for cross-country or fat-burning, etc. I like the cross country setting the best.

You do not get as good of a workout on a recumbent bike. Given the choice, unless you have some physical problem, pick the regular exercise bike. It may not be as comfy, but the results are much better.
Let me add a however...however, I do use the recumbent bike sometimes. I move the seat up so that I am using more of my butt and thighs. My knees stick in the air pretty much and looks a little silly, but I'll be sore when I am done.
