Best 1 way car rental to cocoa/port canaveral

2 questions.
My plane arrives at 10:30 pm. If I rent before midnight and return the next calender day it seems they want to charge for 2 days. Is this the way it works?
What's the best 1 way deal? All I am finding is around $61.00 per day for 1/27/01....thanks....spruce

I can't comment on what's the best one way deal, but all the major car rental companies rent based on 24 hour periods, not the way you suggest.

Thanks, I've been putting pick up date as the 27th 11pm and return date as the 28th 4pm and it came up as a 2 day rental at Hertz, National and Avis. Even though my time with the car was less then 24 hours. I know if I went with priceline that 1st 1 1/2 hours would cost me 24 hours, but can't do 1 way.
I could return it to MCO on the 30th if I went priceline but I really don't need it that long. Once in Cocoa I have access to a Sedan DeVille.

Are you sure that you would get charged for two days with priceline and not only one because your return time is earlier than your pick up time?

I picked up on 1st Jan at 10.30am and dropped off on 10th Jan with priceline and was only charged 9 full days rental. It may be worth checking out, it will show how many days rental you would pay and what taxes etc you would be charged before you press the button to finalize your bid.
