I bought a pack that had a water bottle and a place for my GU. I'm even bringing GU20 to put in my water. I guess I'd just fill up at the water stations.

I just wondered if I was the only one walking with a water bottle?

I'll just have a bottle of water on a bottle strap. Thanks for the reminder - gotta put the bottle strap in my luggage. :) I'm off to do that right now!

I am carry a small water bottle. I will get thirsty between drink stations, so I have to bring my own.

Right now I am thinking two of the 1/2 litre bottles, but I may chuck one early if I feel too bogged down.

I was planning to but b/c of back trouble hadn't been training with it recently--I will bring it and discuss it with my coaches.

It is a good idea!!!

I'm not carrying water. DH has a plan to be at about 10 different places. Which he may or may not make. - But he will make some of them. He have Gatorade for me. And even if I don't ever see him, how sad, I think I will be OK. I didn't carry water when I ran my half, so I have some experience there.

Most definitely carrying water! I'm a *sipper* not a *chugger* (well, when it comes to water anyway  ). I think it's because I tend to breath thru my mouth..so it's always open when I'm running...and it gets dry! So...I need to take a sip more frequently than every mile. I use a water bottle belt...it's called a Fuel Belt...and they do have them at the expo if you are interested in checking them out when you get there. :Pinkbounc

Thanks Snow White,

I'm a sipper too, so it's reconfirmed my suspicions that I would need one. I can't drink large amounts while exercising. But sipping is what works. I think I bought a fuel belt. It's good to know they might have some others at the expo that I could get if I liked another one better. I forgot they would have stuff there!

I'm a sipper as well--but I may not be able to carry my bottle :(

I did a half for training in November and discovered that relying on the waterstops was not doable b/c I drank the water too fast. Ho hum--now I may have to use them but then just slow down through the stops to drink.
