Just graduated with a degree in information technology from Syracuse University. SU is not a top school, either academically or party-wise, but is about the middle of the pack in both. (although, parts of SU's academics are very good, notably broadcasting)

What am I doing with my degree? I'm working at Disney World. Not in IT right now, just working in the parks. Am I sorry that I'm not using my degree? Not really. I'm 22 and single, and I'm having fun working for Disney. I can always do computer tech support stuff on the side if I want.

I study Business Management at a community college called CCBC. It's a pretty dead school. I plan on either going to Point Park in Pittsburgh or going down to South Carolina next fall or the year after that. I want to go for Sports Management.

I'm currently studying Finance/Human Resources at Madonna University in Michigan. However, I'm thinking of a major change to Psychology. If I do that, I'll probably end up going back to Eastern Michigan University where I previously attended or I may try University of Michigan.

I'm a Freshmen at Catholic University of America down in DC. I'm a History and Secdonary Education Major. The University is big on the workload and tough on the drinking. For example, if you are underage with a drink in your hand and drunk on school grounds you are automatically on supervision indefinitly. But, we still find good times in the clubs and what not. But, I usually hang out w/ my friends and either see the Memorial's at night time or to see a movie.

I'm a Communication Arts Major at Utica College in Utica, NY (Used to be part of Syracuse Univeristy, but now were are just "founded by SU" and offer their degree). Its a very small school (kind of like a very large high school). About half live on campus, the other half commute. School has a good Physical Theropy program (just starting to offer our school's first Doctorate program this spring in it) and has a nationaly known ECI (Economic Crime Investagation) program.

I'm a second year nursing student, aiming towards my degree, then hopefully getting my Masters in a specialty, but uncertain as to which area. My schooling is VERY stressful and demanding, but for obvious reasons. They are trying to prepare us for the real deal!
I am studying at a very respected University in Edmonton, Canada. I am very blessed that I was accepted into this program....It is very difficult to get in to.
Just started classes again today, and am already up to my eyeballs in homework. Hopefully, no one else is experiencing this torture.

Im studying Sociology and possibly getting a minor in Spanish. I'm not sure about the minor yet.. My school is not that big of a party school, but we are close enough to UCLA and USC if I wanted to go to any big parties. Don't worry Briarprincess we don't have a football team at my school, so its kinda weird for us cheerleaders to only cheer for basketball.

I'm in my second year of a music degree. I love the course, I've got to work with a lot of great people, and do some really amazing subjects (my favourite's on sex in music, haven't missed a lecture yet! ).

Graduated in May with a Public Health degree.

Currently deciding whether I still want to go to medical school, sort of a quarter life crisis.

Undergraduate school was a good school, in my opinion. Small state college in Southern NJ. Lots of parties, usually always something going on. If not, the school was 15 minutes away from Atlantic City.

Where on Long Island are you? I'm from the Island too :)

Currently I attend Northeastern University in Boston and I'm changing majors from visual arts to psychology with probably a minor in arts since I have a bunch of my requirements filled.

As far as NU, I like the school, love my housing, LOVE the hockey team (even when we're doing horribly)...but I'm not a big New England/Boston fan in general. I would transfer if I wasn't so far along.

Yeah, but we're doing well outside Hockey East as well. We beat Michigan, yet we lost to UML this weekend, go figure.
That was possibly the most boring and terribly played game of hockey that I've seen in the past few years up here.

Ohh, I thought you went to BU :)

I was at Tsongas on Saturday...we had more fans at the game than UML did. It was actually kind of funny. We took a coach bus and filled it with fans. Their arena is nice, so completely different from Northeasterns. But hey, we have the oldest indoor skating facility in the country, the thing's a historical landmark lol.

I'm debating going to Maine next weekend, but that requires a hotel room for the weekend.

Unless youve already purchased your tickets you may not get tickets to a Maine game... they are pretty die hard fans although it is not as hard as it is to get tickets to UNH games those tickets are nasty hard to get... UML games never have more then a couple hundred people there... the Tsongas areana is ten times better then the tully forum where they use to play the HS that i went to the hockey team still plays there (its in Chelmsford where I live) and the seats are just cement slabs really cold really uncomfy... so the Tsongas was a nice change :cheer2:

I've been to Maine games AT Northeastern. I go to every home game here. I don't have a car up here, but my best friend does, so I don't venture out of Boston much at all.

All opposing teams can get tickets to games through their own school. Northeastern holds the tickets til about thursday, and if the students don't want them they send the extras back to the other Hockey East school so that they can sell them.

Or I could always do what I did for the sold out game at Vermont when I decided the night before that I wanted to go...call a player and ask him to put us on the list if his parents weren't going ;)

I grew up in CCHA country ... once I started following the game at a more national level, it was kinda amusing to see some of the Hockey East fans complaining about long road trips (I've heard ppl complain about the 2-3 hours it takes to get to UNH from Boston, but really, right now, Maine is the only long road trip in HE), whereas in the CCHA and WCHA, a 3 1/2 hour drive is considered a quick trip

I study English at Gettysburg College - major party school only if you don't mind that the only parties happen in the frats. I'm not a big drinker so I don't go much. I'm a Film Studies/French major, with a minor in Poli Sci that'll be two classes away from a major when I graduate in May. (I've been here 5 years already. Two degrees is plenty.) I'm planning on a an MA in American Studies along with an MPA.

Oklahoma is a decent party school, but we are officially a dry campus as of January 18th, which will probably tone things down a lot. There isn't a very good relationship between the town and the University, and the fact that partying is going to move off campus and out of North and South Greek is probably going to make things worse.

We have a hockey team, surprisingly enough -- they're ACHA Division 1. (I have no idea what that means, other than OU views them as a club sport because title IX and financial considerations prevent them from being fully supported.) OU is, unsurprisingly, a football school at heart and always will be. (Because eventually we'll get back to the National Championship. And actually win it this time. What the hell, though -- we've already got 7, and they're all legitimate, unlike some schools who count championships before there were even polls.) Even when our basketball team was in the Final Four, there were still more people showing up to spring football practice than most basketball games...

Under the present system, there's no such thing as a legitimate National Championship in college football. You may have 7 legitimate "Mythical National Championships", but nobody anywhere in D1 football can claim an actual National Championship.

That's pretty funny. I didn't really TCNJ had a football team. Stockton must be the only one around with no football team.

And what bad losers they were. They really shouted "SAT scores"? That's ridiculous.

Yea i live in NJ and I'm looking at schools to attend next year. I know Rider University also has no football team and is in Lawerencville NJ right near TCNJ. :D

I just got my BS in accounting from the University of New Orleans. Definitly not a party school. More of a dead school. However, I am still there getting my MS in accounting.

Out in December 05.....whoo hoo

I'm a junior at William Paterson University. I'm majoring in applied mathematics and minoring in computer science. I don't know how much of a party school my school is because I'm not involved in those sort of things. I know they have their fair share of parties, but my school is more of a commuter school, so I don't know how big these parties are.

I'm a pre-med bio major at Illinois Wesleyan University. It's not what you'd call a party school but I love it and I never have a problem finding fun on the weekends. Besides there's no shortage of parties around; if ya get bored with the IWU ones, Illinois State is right down the street *nudge nudge Islandhopper* lol. What we're really crazy about is our mens basketball (we are the Titans...the mighty mighty Titans ;)). They're awesome to watch and the spirit at the games is something I didn't expect from a small school--it seems like everyone from students to faculty to neighborhood families and alumni come to watch. :)

I'm a nursing major and a sociology minor at Hope College in Holland, MI. Its affiliated with the reformed church hardcore so they are pretty strick, dry campus and everything. But, it is a lot of fun and there is a ton of stuff to do so I guess it all works out! :) :mickeybar

Ok I've read through all your guys' stuff (well not really).

I'm like the only person in WNY. It's ok cuz it sucks here. I go to SUNY @ Fredonia and I'm a psych major. I think the school is a party school (I stick mostly to my boyfriend  who doesn't go to school here). And lastly I hate my college. :)

But I kinda understand why. Menga I'm so dissassociated from it. I just found out they have a football team. :confused3

I go to Cornell, which is sort of Western NY. I'm an engineer.

And ditto to whoever was surprised about the college hockey discussion. I have Cornell season tickets this year, and we're doing awesome. Lynah Rink is insane, and in my opinion the most fun place to watch hockey. It's a crummy old building with wooden benches for seats, but all the fans are so into the game that we stand on the seats the entire time (which really sucks when it snows and your shoes get your seat all wet).

This year we're ECAC regular season champs and Ivy League champs (thanks to Harvard losing in their final Ivy game of the season....muahahaha).

Let's go red!!!!

I am a history major and poli sci minor at UCLA. UCLA is SO big that it can either be a party school (on Thursdays mostly) or pretty dead. If you aren't into the Greek scene, then you need to know people in apartments in order to really party, and they have started to really crack down on underage drinking in the dorms. A lot of people go home on weekends (including me) so Fri-Sun nights can be quiet. Movie premieres/screenings happen in Westwood (the town adjacent to campus) almost every week and Bel-Air is next door so you always can see celebs about, but once you get tired of that, unless you have a car or are 21+ the nightlife can get old.

I start at Peirce College Online in May as a Junior in Paralegal Studies. I don't like party schools.

I go the University of Arizona and am a Elementary Education major. I would say its both a party school and it can be dead at time. I'm not a big party person so I don't know when all the parties are. :)
