Good morning! Stephanie sleeped in today so I got a bit more sleep also. I feel more relaxed. Temps today in low 50's, not bad for IA and the sun is out.
Clothes came, tried on and the packages are already boxed up to send back what didn't fit. I am so tired of the lack in consistency in sizes and this is with LLBean. They are usually great but the last three orders have been bad. I learned to order several items in two different sizes. I have two different sizes of the same style of pant in my closet from Bean and they fit exactly the same! Daughters Lands' End flip flops arrived, cute and they fit. Bright colored and sporty thongs.
Today I start packing. Husband noticed I hadn't done much which isn't normal. I have but it is just in stored in our bedroom as it has been in past years.
The last list I made, probably three pages backword form this page has the most current cruise list. Hope that helps.

Jphart-
Wow that is an early morning trip. I can pretty much guarantee no snow here.
Daytonamom-
You are not alone. I will being doing a final load tomorrow. My friend who is also on our cruise is also running around like a crazy woman getting together all the last minute stuff. I still need to make the belts for the adult pirate costumes. I almost forgot about the belts. At least we are mostly packed. Goodluck to all those still running around all crazy like.
jphart-
If you are still reading these. I am taking your second sign to be copied and laminated tomorrow. I will get them to your stateroom on Saturday.

Alright - today is my last day at home.
Whoever was proctoring tests...don't you just love the GEPA??? BIL is taking it this week as well.
Laundry - it never ends.... I'm officially in panic mode and denial all at once. I just checked UPS and my packages are scheduled to arrive at IDS at port TODAY!!! WOoHoo! As expected, we cannot check in online - my husband has a very common name and we always get special attention going through security.
Gotta run. time to eat, have coffee, and finish up packing, door signs, t-shirts, run errands........oh yeah, and pack for myself, LOL.
To everyone travelling today - safe travels! See you on the boat!

Printing out list made by cruisecrzy. Thank you for making that list.
Packing is about 50% complete. I have laundry to do to finish it.
Daughter is back in school and feeling better.
We take off in Des Moines around 12:30 pm and should be in Orlando by 7:30 pm. We have a couple hours of layover in Chicago.
We will spend the night at the Airport Hyatt. Sat. we leave for terminal around 10:30 am.
I will have my trusty faded red DCL visor on. Something lime green, usually a t shirt. My plan is to wear my tropical skirt so I don't have to change for dinner after the sail away but I might wear the skirt to the sail away.
Well, I need to get back to packing and laundry. See all on Sat.
Happy Cruising to all! Kathy

I will PM you my cell phone number in case you get into Orlando and realize you need something. From my driveway to where you are staying is 10min....15min if I catch the light on Boggy Creek (the airport road). And you are stopping over where I was born and raised...Chicago. How funny.
As for what we are wearing.... I will be in a grey DCL shirt. It has wonder and magic embrodered on it. I will be wearing my homemade disney barette with the a green mickey and green ribbon hanging from it. My daughter will be wearing her her minnie mouse top (I think it is yellow and turqoise) with matching turqoise shorts and will be on her red elmo harness (kiddie-leash). We will be looking for the red visor and the mickey necklaces. I think the necklace idea PhiLinAK had was great.
It is warm and sunny here today and will be for the next few days. Mid 70's today.
Safe travels to all. tecdavidt we will be looking overhead for your plane tomorrow. :)

Safe travels everyone.
We are pretty much packed and will be flying out tonight about 2 am. The "red eye" flights are brutal but there aren't many options out of Anchorage. The volcano has been quiet lately (knock on wood) and the weather is fine (sunny but cold ... which just means we will enjoy the cruise that much more).
We've been told that our DCL transportation will get us to the ship by 1 or 2 pm.
I haven't given any thought to what I'll be wearing on the day we sail out (I guess I could wear my Disney tie-died T-shirt, and I have a wide brimmed green hat). I'm sure Cheryl has her outfit planned, but she isn't home from work yet. I do know she has an orange hat with green ribbons, and of course we will have the DIS mickey ears (paint chips) around our necks. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Alright, alright, alright!!!
The kids are in bed, the dog is at my parent's house, our luggage is in my in-law's car, DH is in bed, and my packages made it to the IDS facility today at 10:30AM.
I've just got last minute stuff to pack tomorrow (toothbrush, etc).
Kathy - we are also staying at the Hyatt tomorrow night. I'll pm you my cell number if you want to meet for breakfast or something Saturday morning.
Michelle - you can watch for my plane tomorrow too :) We're on JetBlue (my first time flying with them) and we should get in around 6pm.
I'll be wearing my White DCL shirt, DH will be wearing gray Maleficent as dragon, not sure what kiddies will be wearing yet. Have to find some way to work alien green into my ensamble.
gotta run, dd wants to eat. I'll be on briefly tomorrow morning for any last minute information.
See you all Saturday!!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TO ALL!
I finished packing and now just killing a few minutes before bed. Daughter Stephanie is doing a lot better. The penicillin shot is wonderful, hurts yes but she feels 100% normal.
Thank you cruisecrzy for the telephone number. If we need something, I'll might give you a call. Right now I think all is OK but who knows, maybe I will have forgotten something.
Krystagali, you land 1 1/2 hour before us. The Hyatt is a nice place to relax the night before. Thanks for the breakfast offer but Dave always orders us room service. It is a tradition on our cruises.

Hi Michelle I guess we are the only ones left in town. What do you think the weather is going to be tomorrow. The weather web site said 72 and windy. Channel 2 said 80 this morning. Hope everything is well at your house this last min stuff takes forever. On more trip to target and I am done. See you soon. Lynn

Lynn, How funny. I was just thinking that a little while ago. Just you and I left in our houses. How lonely it is being the last two left. :)
I made my list trip earlier to BJ's to pick up some candy. We decided that we are going to make up bags of chocolates to give out as thank yous to some of the staff. I read that in the kids club post. A former CM said that they really like getting candy and that is not something they need to turn in and share with team like the tips. We'll see how it works out.
Accordin to Newschannel 13 they are saying 80 tomorrow then 82 and then 86 (I thought) for Monday. Tht sounds promising to me. I am planning for low 80's tomorrow.
We are almost all packed. When DH gets home we will finish up. Then we just wait until 9:30 am and then hopefully be heading to the port.
Good luck finishing up. Can't wait to meet everyone tomorrow.

We made it to Orlando with no problems. Right now we are at the Airport Hyatt. Dinner was great at McCoy's. We were told by the bell staff that 500 families were staying at the Hyatt headed towards the Magic tomorrow.
We did notice the Hyatt has had a renovation since our last stay Dec. '04. They did a nice job.
Tomorrow morning on to the Magic. Kathy

Hi Everybody
We were back in the driveway in Daytona at 10:20am Saturday. The post cruise sleepies hit right away. We did get everything out of the car before we hit the sofas. I didn't come out of the fog until Sunday morning. Much to my surprise I had no one to take my order for breakfast, no one to bring me juice and coffee and worst of all no one to clean up after me and find my shoes.
Someone in my house was nice enough to make me a cute towel animal. It took me awhile to figure out what it was because it was so big. Oh Wait a minute. It's not a towel animal it's the laundry shaped like mt. Everest. I know we did not take all this stuff with us. Hope everyone is home safe and I will get some photos together soon.

Day two at home and I am finally almost done with the laundry. Just when I thought it was safe to go into the back hall out pops a suitcase that..."oh was I supposed to bring that upstairs for you".
We definately have the post vacation blues. This was the best of our four cruises in large part due to the great copnay we kept!
Can't wait to see pictures. I have to call Abby to find out how to download them.
By the way I want to change he name of our thread but keep it going. Does anyone know how?

Welcome back all, Ruth maybe only you can change the name or one of the Mod's?
Laundry is done, time 8:25 Monday night. Yeah! I have to agree with Daytonamom, Mt. Everest is a great name for the laundry pile. I didn't think I would ever get through it all.
Lesson learned, 15 months between cruises is too long. I forgot the DIS rule of pack then remove half. I have been on a total of 17 cruises since 1998 and you would think I would be the last one to over pack. Nope, it is such a drag to have to spend time the last night of the cruise packing items that never were worn! I did make notes for the next time we go on what not to pack.
While I ironed what items needed ironed today I listened to my iPod that has my cruise party sound mix. I miss the ship and probably more this time because we don't have another Magic cruise booked :guilty: . To top that off, daughter Stephanie told me this afternoon that this was her best cruise ever. Next Spring Break will be tought staying home.

Ok, so I cheated with laundry. On Sunday I took my daughter to the Magic Kingdom while my husband did the laundry. We packed smarter this time and used pretty much everything we brought. It made it so much easier this time.
We enjoyed running into everyone on the ship...it made the trip a little more fun. We are looking forward to hopefully cruising again in November...though we are not sure if the ship can handle a crazy little girl running around deck three until midnight again. She made so many wonderful CM "friends" again.....and they all were great chasing her around. They said it made the time pass faster for them and it gave the exhausted mom and dad a break.
The temperatures started climbing here again so hopefully everyone else is warming up as well.
GenMax if no one else knows how to change the name of the thread I will ask one of my computer kids tomorrow. If it can be done they will figure it out.
Bamma4Disney I am going shopping Wednesday so I will look for the ESPN stuff....maybe I will get lucky.

Hi Everyone,
We had a great time on the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!! We walked with sea legs for 3 days after we got off the boat.
We hit the parks for two days and would not do that again. We were so relaxed after the cruise, that to deal with the big crowds was exhausting.
We arrived home Tuesday at 2:00A.M. We slept for a long time!
Having a few days to relax and reflect, we think all of you made this trip truly "MAGICal." It was so nice meeting all of you on the cruise. You really made this cruise fun. We are looking forward to another cruise, but feel we are now spoiled and the next one won't be as much fun. :confused3
We are glad to know everyone got home safely. Let us know if you change the sight name.

Jennifer - DH had sea legs for a few days also. I did surprisingly well. I think I didn't feel it because I was so concerned with getting ds, dd and BIL all home safe. As for being spoiled and dissappointed with another cruise you are right and wrong. You get so spoiled on Disney ships but aftr 4 cruises on Disney, I can report, they have all been just as much fun and magical.
I wish I had gotten to meet more of you on the cruise, but with the little ones, it made it so difficult. I did get to meet MsCheng and her ds as well as a lurker who forgot her dress shoes - you know who you are ;)
Don't know if any of you got a glimps of the bride or the wedding itself, but it was wonderful. Very beautiful location, the ceremony was short but sweet, and my SIL and new BIL had a wonderful time.
We had some trouble with our boxes - don't remember if the post made it to this thread or not. But, we have a fairygodmother on the Disney Magic. Mariska, from South Africa, found our boxes after a frantic 24 hours without my supply of diapers, stockings, hairspray, etc... After finding them, she kept sending little gifts to our room. Really added a little extra touch of magic.
I was dissapointed to find out that some of the tips I learned here were not true...especially the one about the red anchors pointing aft. on some floors they did, on some others, they didn't. DH had a good laugh at me over that one. We did not get any pictures or projects from the nursery.
But, we did get our photo mats signed, so that was great.
I'm hoping that DCL gets in touch with me for a follow up (I somehow always get picked for those) because I have a few good and not so good things to report to them. But, no time to get into it now.
It's good to be home, but boy do I miss the carefree days.

Have you planned another cruise on a different cruise line?

Jen - that's so cool that you saw them. We have not booked another cruise on Disney or any other line. I have a feeling that we will be doing a cruise out of NY this summer with my whole family for my dad's 60th.
For now, I'm going through cruise withdrawl. I'm missing the days without work and without having to worry about any time constraints other than when to get to dinner.
Working on getting the kiddies back on a schedule. Going slowly.....
Oh Gosh, I forgot to mention that I also got to meet PhilInAK and his family also... Hope you had a safe trip home.

Hi all,
We did make it back and finally got out from underneath the laundry just as it was time to start the next week's ...and here we are again. I've been meaning to get on here but had to jump in to both work and a temporary job for the University every night and all day on the weekends, so haven't had time to get more than a few hours sleep a night, let alone go online. I haven't even had time to upload our pictures yet to look at them and I am really looking forward to that. I promise to get copies out to those of you in them just as soon as I'm done with with my night job.
We also had a blast and having had the oppportunity to meet all of you made it even more enjoyable. Thanks so much for the mail, Lynn! That was great!!!
