We recently had a three week holiday to Florida and my 8 year old daughter Natalie, upon return to school had to write a short report of what she did in the school holidays.

This was the account of her favourite day and she has typed the rest herself verbatim, hope you enjoy ......

On the 26th of May my Family and my friends family and of course myself flew to Florida. We went to Animal Kingdom which was part of Disneyworld. First we had to park the car. At the entrance we put our Disney passes in the machine and picked them up as we went through the gate. We got a park map and headed to Kilimanjaro Safari. On the way, we saw some flamingos and bright red birds. At the entrance to the safari, the queue was very long, so my friend and I and our dads, went to fastpass Kali river rapids. When we got back the queue was still long luckily my brother and his friend and our mums were at the front. Finally we all got on the jeep together. It started off really bumpy but then stopped and smoothed out a bit. First I saw deer then crocodiles and pelicans. We also saw elephants and giraffes and a few other animals. It was excellent! When the safari was over we went for lunch. After lunch we went to Kali River Rapids. My friend and his family went on first. The rest of us watched them on the bridge. They looked like they had a great time. In about five minutes it was our turn. We got on the rapid with another family. It said on a poster that everyone will get wet but that one person would get soaked! It started off on a chair lift. We couldn't see anything because we were going through smoke. Suddenly we dropped quite fast and everybody screamed! Then we saw fire and pretend lions, one of which sqirted water at me! Then we dropped again and my mum got drenched! Unfortunately, it was time to get off. We then walked to a 3D cinema called It's Tough to be a Bug. At the entrance we had to pick up a pair of 3D glasses then go through into the cinema. When it had finished, a large pretend bug came on the screen and said to let all the flies out first! We didn't really know what it meant at first but soon something started to bump under our seats! Sadly it was soon time to go home. We had such a great day seeing animals and getting wet on rapids! I hope we can go back another day!

hope you like my report
