car rental without credit card

Is it possible to rent a car without a credit card? Can you leave a cash deposit instead? What type of ID would you need (especially if we're not U.S. citizens). Can you rent a car from the ALL-STARS?

There is no car rental desk at the All Stars, however National will pick you up from any WDW hotel and take you to their facility (over by the MK) with no extra charge. I am not aware of any car rental company in the US that will rent to a non-USA resident without a major credit card.

I always suggest people get a credit card, even if they never use it for anything, just for this purpose. There are a lot of no fee cards out there.

If you go to the website, they cover the "cash deposit" subject quite well. If I recall, they will do it, but, the deposit is quite hefty.
