Is Shrek still appearing at Universal

Just wanted to know if he was still appearing, and if so, where in the park does he appear and at what times throughout the day.

Ooooh I hope so. I just told dgs this weekend, we will see Shrek in September.

just inside the front gate to the right. last few times i saw it was between 10:30 and 11:00. the costume is such that i imagine the high heat will limit how long and often he will appear. if he is not there just go into guest services which is to the right of the main gate and ask. they are great people. :cool:

Thanks MIB I can't wait to see shrek...also, you are right about the fact that the people at guest services at US are great people...we have spoken with them many times...making sure some of the exceptional employees we have encountered over the years get the proper recognition...we love US!

The makeup, the costume, the whole illusion are just so well done. And it's a rwally nice break from the usual silent furry costumed characters.

I'm glad to hear that Shrek is still around. What a great character! I got positively the best picture ever with Shrek and my two kids (8 & 11) when we were there in late June. My kids were first on line to see him so he was nice and "fresh" and I mean that in both possible ways. The kids stood on either side of him for the photo and Shrek was mock-complaining in typical Shrek fashion. Just as I was ready to snap the picture, he let out this HUGE burp. Well, both kids went absolutely hysterical. What a great photo it turned out to be. Shrek rules!

We ran into Shrek in September...he was walking around the front lot. Great character! My sister just returned (late oct) and she saw him as well. Chances are good he is still around! There was also a spot that had a sign posted out front of times he appears during the day. I think it was near Cafe LaBamba:confused:

We saw Shrek in the Garden of Allah at either noon or 1pm. The times were posted in the brochure. The line was quite long, luckily my kids didn't have any interest (but they loved the movie!).

Bought the video and my grandsons watched it 8 times in a row. I think Godzilla (their usual favorite) has some serious competition. LOL I enjoyed it with them the first time, but now I only watch (and join in ;) )the karoke at the end. (I sound like Shrek looks! :D ) Now I have another reason to get back to Universal!!!

BTW, MG, I found King Kong vs. Godzilla, but it was on DVD. It was like $5 at K-Mart.

Now there is a reason to buy a DVD! :)

Mahalo Barry for thinking of us, but we finally got the video on half.com. Then we had to go on Ebay to buy the Godzilla and King Kong "dolls". I have got to learn to say no to grandchildren. LOL
