Ice cream social

My SIL advised me to book the ice ream social. I can't find any info. on it. Does anyone know, who, what, where and when?

We did this in Nov. Garden Grill (Land Pav.) in EPCOT. We had farmer Mickey, Chip & Dale and Pluto. You get ice cream in a waffle cone - not a real sundae, but it was a nice break and cheap enough of get to see the characters. They each come around and get a chance to get pictures and autographs. Mickey, put ice cream on my DS nose. And Pluto "licked" up my sons ice cream.

I see by your counter you will be there in Jan. I am fairly certain the Garden Grill is closed for 3 months beginning ( ithink ) 1 Jan. I tried to make PSs for March and wastold they are Closed until 6 Apr
I was looking forward to it also.

to say that it is a waffel cone is an understatement. It is on a frozen plate swirled with choc. with a choc. covered cookie as an anchor to the waffle cone full of Ice cream topped with gummy worms, whipped creame sprinkles, waffer cookies, etc. etc.

It was a good time, and no one hardly goes. THe characters spent lots and lots of time with my little boy. He was 16 mo. and Chip came by a fed him with a spoon. I will do it every time I go.


The GG buffet is going on at the same time, but you don't notice it.

I tried to make a PS for the ice cream social in January and they are closed. There is not another event in place of it, so the traditional character meals are really the only option now. DS doesn't really like sweets, but I read somewhere you can just pay an "admission" fee and not have ice cream. Not relevant for those of us who will be there while they are closed...

I did it once (in april) and wouldn't do it again. The ice cream was pre-made and just didn't care for it. If you just want to see the characters then it is fine.

Loved the ice cream social, well the kids did anyway, and tried to make a ressie for Feb. ,but the Garden Grill is now closed as above posts state :sad:
