I was just reading the "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Meal Vouchers" thread and followed the link to Florida Orlando Tickets and right there on the front page it states they no longer sell the Character Breakfast or the Quick and Casual Vouchers. When did they stop selling them? This may be old news but I don't remember seeing anything mentioned here on the boards. Any info???
Thanks!

I went to Hotwire Savings Club today and saw that they were not selling child Lunch Kingdom Vouchers - I was just hopping they were out, but I have a feeling (hopefully I'm wrong) that Disney is trying to discontinue these.
But then again (I might be answering my own question) I recieved Disney's Childrens Program packet today - and Quick and Casual Vouchers were being offered during 2005 - but it does say (in the package) that things are subject to change!

I just got my Breakfast character vouchers in the mail yesterday. I have 2 Q & C vouchers left over from last trip. You can still order the VKL vouchers for adults off of howire, but not the child version. I wonder why????

I checked my Connections account and it states that I have already ordered my allotment of child VKLs. That's somewhat odd, considering that I NEVER ordered child VKLs from them (I ordered from HSC when I needed them).

I wonder if Disney is discontinuing the vouchers with the MYW dining plan? Since they can now add meals straight to your tickets, they would be able to "specialize" these through group sales (the originator of the vouchers) and get rid of them.

This is all very strange!!! Do you think maybe the places that sell the vouchers are getting low on or have sold out of the ones that expire 5/31/05 and will begin selling them again when the new ones are released? I emailed Florida Orlando Tickets yesterday evening asking them if this was a temporary thing or a permanent one but I haven't heard back from them yet. I'll post as soon as I get a reply.

That could very well be Crisi. With us "Disney Detectives" on the case we will be able to solve this mystery in no time flat!!!

I was checking into them last night and couldn't find them either. I bet they are doing away with them with the new MYW dining package for on site guests. Does not bode well for offsite guests!

I think you are right. Because of the new packages with the dinning option, they may not be releasing those vouchers anymore.

Hotwire still has all the certificates available and at the same prices.

Those of you who thought it might have something to do with the new MYW sysytem were correct. Here's the email I just received from Florida Orlando Tickets.
Hi Carla,
As you have probably heard, Disney has changed their entire line of tickets
for 2005. They have taken all meal certificates away from everyone except
Disney hotels. You have to stay in a Disney hotel to get them. I guess it's
their way of trying to keep everyone on Disney property. We'll see if it
lasts, as I'm sure they will get many complaints.
I'm sorry we can no longer provide our customers with Character Breakfasts
or Quick 'N Casual Meal Certificates. It wasn't our choice and we feel badly
for our customers who depended on us for them.
Sincerely,
Betty

Yes, Muffy it was!!! Am I mistaken or is the only way to include dining with the new MYW sysytem is to purchase a package?? If so, that stinks!!!

Carla,
Yes it is. I asked three different TA's about this same thing when asking about adding dinning option to room only and was told that the dinning option has to be with a package and must be the same length as the # of days you are staying. It's bacially like it use to be with length of stay passes on past packages.
