After a few weeks of debating I decided to join Hotwire and place my order today. I ordered a Target GC, Olive Garden GC, Planet Hollywood GC, Outback GC, 2 Q&C Vouchers, and 2 VKL Vouchers. It was supposed to be $25 GC for $20 if I read it correctly, but I was charged the full $25 for each. Does anyone know anything about this?

You pay full price up front and I believe you get the difference later.

They will credit your credit card for the $5. Not sure the timing of this - I think they do it once a month.

I always get my credit at the beginning of the next month.

That's right, you pay full price up front and then on your next statement you will see the credit. I really like it and it's worth it just for the movie tickets. The Loews just went up to $9 a ticket and hotwire is $4.50 which is even cheaper than the rate they give you if you go before 6:00.
Also I am buying a digital camera from Circuit City, so I ordered the GC in that amount and I am saving an extra $50 over the savings from Circuit City.
Definately worth it!

Frannn,
If you're using Circuit City GCs for a large purchase, you may want to take the time to visit a B&M store to have them combined on one card. The website will only take a few GC numbers at a time, which means that you cannot take advantage of web-only specials if you have a fistful of $25 GCs. If you make your purchase at a B&M store, your cashier may have to combine the GCs on one or two cards in order to complete the transaction. I learned this last year when I bought DD a digital camera for her birthday. Needless to say, I was in Circuit City for a lot longer than I had anticipated.

Thanks so much for that! I wouldn't have even thought about it. I did want to take advantage of the web only deals, I wonder if they will accept that price in the store if I bring the printout of the price?
They should be in tomorrow's mail and I wanted to order it online and pick it up at the CC 5 minutes from here so I can take pics tomorrow night. I'll let you know how it all works out.
Thanks!!

OK, so I did have to go to the store to combine the certificates. I sent my husband and he called me with the numbers and I still placed the order online using ebates and the online discount at CC. Then he waited there and they let him pick it up right there, so we didn't have to make 2 trips there!
And here's the kicker...he just called to say we saved an additional $9.75 because we picked it up in the store!!! I thought that sounded strange so I asked if they actually gave him back the money (I had paid online with the GC) and he said yes!! So I saved another $10 besides the $30 with the web deal and the $50 from Hotwire!! Great way to end the year! :Pinkbounc :cool1: :cheer2:

I have heard from several people that if you cancel your membership before you actually receive your rebates Hotwire will not credit you the difference. You must have a valid account when the rebate comes in.

That is true.
