Hello!!!!!!! I love swimming!!!!! There are a lot of swim teams in my area. I can practice monday-saturday. There is also morning practice on Tues and Thursday, but I would have only been to 2. I usually have to stay up to do homework, so I don't get to bed early enough. It starts at 5am a little too early for me.

I think that diving was on of the sports that we didn't do so well in, because there are so many great people from China. I really want to go to trials in 08, but I have to work really hard.

I am going to be 17. THey just posted the times on usaswimming.org. I have them post on my wall with all of my other times. I hope that I will peak when I in 15-16 age group.

You can qualify from 4-1-05 to the date that the entries have to be in.

I think that 4 people from my team went to trials this year. No one got real far, and one of the swimmers hurt her back so she couldn't finish the meet. If I get the time for trials then when I look at the scoreboard I will scream and jump up and down in the water.

No... i want to start the 200 im but alot of our swimmers do that.

I like to do IMs, but I an average butterfly so I get behind there. I am getting better though. When we go to state our coaches pick our events. The team point race is really tight with the people from Vegas. We had one state 7 straight years, but about 2-3 years ago we lost. We are usualy in the led for the 1rst two days, but then we drop. Last year we got 3 but everyone swan really well. I qualified for a final or conselation in all 8 of my events. At the end of the meet when I had to swim the 200Im in conselation I was so tired and burred out that I started to cry. I think that was the only event that I didn't drop time in.

I got a lot of stupid events like the 200 free :(. For some reason they had to restart the race when everyone didn't go down. Anouther girl and I swan a 50 and I was think to myself were is everyone? Everyone then stopped me and we had to wait a little while, but it was a nice warm-up.

Good Luck!! I have a meet in the middle of Jan. I think I am going to swim the 1000 and I will be able to use the coutner I got my Christmas. I then have anouther meet in the first week of Feb. I think that I am only going to swim the 1650 on the first day, because State is 2 weekends afterwards. I also really need to swim the mile again.

yeah I like to swim long distance at meets. We usually have 3 day meets and the first 1/2 day is distance or 400 IMs and then the other 2 days are full swimming. 13 or 11 and up is in the morning session and 10 and under is in the afterenoon session. I sometimes hate getting in for warm-ups, because we have to be there early.

I love to swim distance at meets, but not at practice. I like to sprint at practice.
I am so happy I get a snow day on Monday, and maybe if they can not clear the roads then I will be able to see Michael on Tv on Tuesday :)

I hope that you do better at your next meet. I hate it when I have a bad meet, and I am really hard on my self. I have a meet this next weekend and I am looking forward to it. I think that I will drop a lot of time in my 200 free, because I have been working on it during practice.

i really enjoy swimming, but just as a pasttime...i know i'm not the best swimmer, so if i did join a swim team, i'd know everyone else was better than me on my team...it'd bring down my self esteem! so, i just enjoy the breast stroke and back stroke in the luxury of the lake near my house! :rolleyes:

thanks! It was really awful! lol i slept so bad and then i had to get up at 5:30 for my sisters swim. and im sorta sick too. like a muscle sick. so it was just awful!

This was such a long meet!!!!!! I was close in all of my times and added in a lot!!! I was really close in high point though so I was happy. I got my braces off today!!!!! I am so happy!!!!!!!

What is your fastest 50 breast and your medly relay time?? My relay swims a 2:07 and for the 50 breast i swam a 41 over the summer

for my High School i swim the 100 breast and my times were usually in the 1:22's (1:22.10 was my fastest) and i needed a 1:22.00 to qualify for the coaches invitational but you needed it by last thursday

thats cool, my mom told me that i swam a 37 somthing in the relay for my school but its a shorter distance then what i swim in the summer.
