Has anyone not been admitted into Disneyland on New Year's eve during the day due to the parks being full? I was thinking of going to CA Adventure first, and then over to Disneyland to watch the countdown, but last year I was told to go into Disneyland early and not come out or I could not get back in at all. Has that even been true for anyone?? :earseek: I think I might be safer to just remain in Disneyland, but I remember it was a really long day and we coudn't get on many rides. Advice anyone?

Yes, it does happen. NYE and 4th of July are 2 of the busiest days of the year and most likely to exerience closures.

So would you suggest that I just stay with last year's plan of going to Disneyland early and not leaving at all until after the countdown? Would I be risking it too much to go over to CA Adventure until about 1 p.m. and then trying to get into Disneyland?

Since rain is in the forecast for Friday, it'll probably keep a lot of the locals away, so crowds may not be so much of an issue.

If you do get a chance to see DCA on New Year's Eve, be sure to catch The Fab Four, a Beatles tribute band that is really good.

I would really like to get into Ca adventure for a little bit on New Year's Eve. I just wish I knew when and if I would be allowed back into Disneyland. Thanks for the thumbs up on the Fab Four!!!
We leave day after tomorrow! WHAHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO! :umbrella:

When you're ready to head out, just check with the exit gate host/hostess. They might be able to give you a little better reading on what the crowds are like and if it's likely they would be closing the gates. Not always the best source of information, but definitely worth a try.

If you want to be at Disneyland for the countdown I would go to Disneyland and just hang out there for the entire day. We did this last year and really didn't notice the crowds too much until after dinner time. A lot of people will find their place for the countdown very early and just hang out there ALL DAY!!

I think we decided to stay all day in Disneyland. We don't want to chance not being allowed back in. I guess we will be hoping to find a spot in front of the castle! Happy New Year! :cool1:
