Nov Travel from ROC to TPA

There are 5 of us traveling (3 kids) from Nov 4-12 from ROC to TPA.
I don't know how long to play the waiting game for.....

any thoughts ?

Southwest doesn't fly out of ROC. It does fly out of BUF but I'd like
to avoid that if possible. I also don't want the cattle-call line.

southwest out of buffalo has good fares now for tampa

we just booked nov 30 - dec 7 for 94$ r/t

to me that is worth it......even if they do have the cattle call.....

how old are the kids....

if any of them is under 5 then you will get pre boarding privilege...


alas ...they have none of the good fares left for your travel dates.......but it was nice trying.. BUT

if u can fly nov 5 - nov 12 they have fares for 5 at 485$ total round trip.......but the times for nov 5 gets you in at 5:10 pm so that might not be good....just a thought....or if you leave friday the 2th ....they also have it at 485$ for 5......the flights go through baltimore

but these fares expire tonight at midnight PST i think and are internet fares only......you would not get then if you called....

What do you mean by the cattle call???

I just meant that you have to wait in line (first come, first served) for a seat. They do not pre-assign seats.
