We just got back from Disney were we tried both Crystal Palace and Cape May Charcter breakfasts. We really enjoyed crystal palace with lots of different foods, great charcter enteraction plus great service. The food at Cape May was very limited plus the charcters seemed hurried as opposised to before. Our question is were heading back the first week of March and wanted to know weather folks liked 1900 Park fare better or Chef Mickeys? We will have our than 10 month old girl with us. Yes this seems young but at 7 months she loved the charcter enteraction before as well as all the charcters at the MMCP.
Thanks

Are you going for breakfast or dinner? We did both for dinner, and Chef Mickey's again for breakfast. My favorite of the three was Chef Mickey's for breakfast...it was great! I didn't care for 1900 Park Fare, but that was dinner, not breakfast.

Enjoy your trip!

I can't really comment on 1900 Park Fare since we haven't done that, but I can comment on Chef Mickey's for dinner. Last year when we went I thought Chef Mickey's was hands down the best buffet we ate at. The character interaction was great, and the food was terrific.

This year was a bit of a different story. I don't know if it had something to do with the fact that we were in the large room as you first walk into the restaurant or what, but the characters really didn't seem all that interested in spending time. It was take the picture get the autograph and "poof" they were gone. I do have to say that the second time through they were a bit more receptive, but not as much as last year. The food, however, I thought was even better than last year. A bit more of a selection.

Overall I'd have to rate Chef Mickey's fairly high. One word of advice, if you're going for breakfast try to get one of the last seating times if possible. I've heard several people say that sometimes in that situation, the characters spend a bit more time with the kids because there's not that pressure to get to all the tables.

Have fun and enjoy!!

The other option is one of the first PS's for Chef Mickeys. We were there on Dec 7th for a 7:10 PS and the place was not crowded. There was plenty of chahrcter interaction and they were not hurried.

This way you can eat and be at MK for rope drop.

We did a 10am PS at crystal palace for breakfast. I agree everything was alot more relaxed and the charcters were able to spend more time with you.

The food at 1900 Park Fare(dinner) is very good. So if you or anyone else in your group could really careless about the characters, they would at least in enjoy they food. But the character interaction is also very good for the young ones. Don't forget to try the strawberry soup if you go.

I think 1900 Pk Fare's breakfast buffet is quite good (but I have to pass on their dinner). Chef Mickey's is fair for both meals. Just depends what you're looking for. I think Cape May has a nice assortment actually (but my #1 favorite is FRESH-no characters there though).

If you are going for breakfast, I would DEFINITELY go with 1900 Park Fare. The buffet is better, it is a bit quieter and the character interaction is GREAT!
