YES!!!!! I AM!!!!!:)
We're planning on going for either 5 or 6 nights in August via Eurostar. We will stay in London for a couple of nights beforehand as it is over 20 years since I have been to London and my kids have never been there (I feel very ashamed, what with it being our capital city!)
Then we are planning to spend 4 nights there next Christmas, either by Eurostar again or flying from Southampton.
This has all escalated from withdrawal symptoms after returning from WDW in April! Although my DH loves Disney and Florida as much as I do (well, maybe not quite as much, I wouldn't call him obsessed like I am!), he doesn't want to return to WDW until 2007, this being a combination of saving up the money to pay for it all and new rides/parades/shows etc by then.
Friends of ours (who, out of a 20 day holiday in Florida, spent only one afternoon in MK in WDW without seeing either of the parades or Wishes fireworks.....this was down to awful planning on their part, not because they didn't want to) visited DLP this year and absolutely raved about it on their return, therefore sowing the seeds for our trip!
Then my DH kept saying he wanted to go to Lapland to see Santa one year....until I showed him the cost of it!....it wasn't too difficult to persuade him to go to DLP at Christmas to see Goofy Santa instead!:)
So.........as 2005 approaches I am getting unbearably excited again! and when we return from our Christmas trip, I'll be swinging into full planning mode for WDW at Easter 2007!
Sorry to have waffled on, I've been watching Little Britain (LOL) while I've been typing this!!!
Merry Christmas to you all:)

Thanks for replies. Currently looking at options for 5 people in one room!
Feel I should start campaign as not everyone needs two rooms, especially as children are two young too.
Of course it all adds to the expense and gives less spending money :(

Couldn't agree with you more, Reid!
There are 5 of us and when I phoned Disney to ask price of a family suite at Newport Bay (apparently there are just a few available (at a supplement) that will sleep 6), the really helpful CM actually advised me that it was very expensive and I would be better to save my money for the parks! (not sure if that is what his supervisor would want him to say!)
We are going to stay at the Explorers, I have read mixed reviews on the net about it but a mum at my DD's school stayed there and said it was clean and comfortable and so long as I don't expect the Ritz I'll be happy. So I am going to take her word for it, at the end of the day we'll be in the parks and only using the hotel for somewhere to sleep.
BTW, Simon gave the Explorers a very good write-up in his Brits Guide.

Yes we're planning to visit in June. Haven't booked yet but are looking at 5 days at Davy Crockett. Reid have you considered Camp Davy Crockett they have both 1 & 2 bedroomed cabins. We 've stayed there in the past as there is 5 of us too.
This year there's only 4 of us going & we did consider staying in a hotel. But found the sleeping arrangements will suit us better. If we choose a hotel , with 1 room DS 12 & DD 14 would have to share a bed either with DH or myself or each other. This option did not go down well. At least at CDC they will have their own bed & are willing to share a room.
CDC prices approx the same as Cheyaanne or Santa Fay but with the option of a great pool,

Thanks for thoughts on Davy Crocket. We're planning on flying rather than ferry so will be without car.
That would seem to rule out ranch. :(

There are 5 of us going next month [yippee]. We are staying at Davy Crockett's and as we wanted to fly have hired a car from the airport [flights £4.99 with Ryan air], it was a recommended disney hire and for 4 days with hertz it cost £99.
Hope this helps!

I have the opposite :space:
Fortunately that is not something that has ever happened to me at DLP.
I'm hoping I can go back sometime around November 06 - that's assuming I've saved up enough to buy the computer I want and saved up again to pay for the holiday. Unless I've won the lottery in the meantime of course :space:
I've always visited around the Halloween time but I thought I would like to see the Fantillusion, Belle's village and some of the Xmas festivities for a change this time.

Just a thought, Cyrano !
When we were staying at Cheyenne we got a room with king bed and bunk-bed ; maybe, if you have small children, that one of them could either sleep in a crib OR in the king with you ?
HAPPY PLANNING !!!!!!!

We're planning to go Nov 21st to 25th. My youngest daughter will be 3 on the 25th and we'll book a character birthday tea for her. Did that last November when my eldest daughter was 4 and it was great fun.

Laura
thank you for the thought on Hotel Cheyenne. We have stayed there before and the children like the theming. Phoned Disney and was put through to one of their trading partners since lines were busy! They said that Disney would not except the booking for 2 adults and 3 children as the room occupancy is 4.
The operator suggested only telling Disney that 4 would be staying in the room :bitelip: which of course would keep the cost down, but seemed a strange solution.

Finally booked 7 nights/8 days in the summer commencing 6th July. :cool1:
Two flights Aberdeen - Heathrow, Heathrow - CDG and then onward travel to Holiday Inn.
Planning to use the extra days to explore, eat in some of the Disney hotel restaurants :teeth: Kids are relatively unfussy eaters so looking for recommendations :flower:

We've just decided to go next November too :cheer2: - around Bonfire night so we get that plus most of the Christmas stuff. We went in October last year and are wearing T-shirts in most of the photos whereas in December when we went we had on so many layers we could hardly walk :rotfl: and were still cold!! Hoping November will be a happy medium!!

Last trip in middle of November we had coats, hat, scarfs and gloves on most days.
Didn't need too many layers so I know it was not as cold as we have felt it.

We are planning to go in December probably 3rd to 9th. We were ther last year at that time and I so agree about the cold . I dont think i have ever been so cold. This time we are thinking about the disneyland hotel may be CC but its so expensive and they dont do the 4 for 3 offer. We will see.

4nights, 5 days at Davy Crockett, I can't wait. Finally decided after reading Simon's book to have a 2 bedroomed cabin. Surprised to find it was only £40 difference. Going 6-10th June.
we will already have had 10 days in France - camping.

Well, we're booked to go for two nights to the Sequoia Lodge in May. First time staying at that hotel, although we've eaten in Hunter's Grill before and had a good look around at the same time.
I had said to my wife that we wouldn't go this year and that instead we'd save up and go really big-time next year (5 nights in Castle Club or something similarily extravagant!) but then I heard that they'd removed the shareholders discount on CC, so we decided to take two smaller (and cheaper) trips, one this year, one in 2006.
And plus with Easyjet flying from Luton to Paris now, it only cost the two of us £47 to get there!

Ive booked eurostar for 2 adults at the total cost of £138, for standard class. I dont think its that bad (price) because it saves me from having to fly ( :sad2: ) and instead of having to make my way from Charles de Gaulle airport to DLP, we arrive straigh outside the gates of DLP (saving taxi prices!)

We live in the US and are flying to CDG before our British Isles cruise so we can go to DLP. We want to buy a one way ticket on Eurostar to go back to London. Our cruise originates in Southampton. Do I need to go thru a travel agent to buy a one way Eurostar and a Brit 3 day railpass.
Another question, if I buy two brit 3 day rail passes, can I activate them at the Paris station before I get on the Eurostar back to London. I wanted to get the passholder rate on the Eurostar but buy a brit rail pass instead of a French rail pass. When we get back to London (Saturday night), the following day we will take the train from Waterloo to Southampton (Sunday).
Do you know if we can buy Eurostar tickets thru DLP reservations?
Lots of questions, but our 17 day European trip is coming together.
Note: We are pin collectors, and I found out that DLP is having an organized pin event on 5/28, we will be there 5/18 to 5/21...
Next week, after I get the train transportation sorted out, I will buy the land package for DLP, probably New York or Sequoia Lodge. There are just two of us, (59 & 60).

alexandra uk - may I help? The article says that the construction is progressing little by little. It's a huge tethered gas balloon composed of a casing inflated with helium (a totally inert gas), a rope (? - could be "net" - I'm not familiar with hot-air balloons!!! :confused3) and a basket, all of which is connected to the ground by a cable and driven by a hydroelectric winch.
From April Panoramagique will welcome visitors for a trip of about 6 minutes in the skies of Disneyland Resort Paris. Climbing to 100 metres above the earth, it will offer a magnificent 360 degree view of up to 20 km. Up to 30 people will have the opportunity to take part on each "flight".
The price of the tickets suggested by Aerophile S.A. will be 12 euros for adults and 6 euros for children from 3 to 12 years and free for children under three.

Thanks Diana :)
Do you know if the balloon stays attached to the rope for the whole time ?
(I'm a bit of a scardy cat where heights are concerned  )

There's a good link here http://www.laughingplace.com/Lotion-View-26.asp which gives quite a bit of information plus an artist's impression of the finished "ride". It's a net, not a rope (sorry - translated it wrong!) and it seems to be connected by a strong metal cable so it sounds really secure. :flower:
