For my dates (7nights), that I won on Skyauction: I have my choice of Vacation Village at Parkway or Silver Lake. I have to book within the next 48 hours and I've heard really mixed reviews about VVP, and just so,so stuff about Silver Lake.

I have stayed on-site before and last Oct. we stayed at Sheraton Vistana, LOVED it! (which I've already booked for my second week of this vacation.)

Please help!, I've checked out TUG and Trip advisor and am getting more confused :guilty:

Thank you

silver lake is definitely closer.

but there is a lady here at work who loves Vacation Village at Parkway and won't stay anywhere else.

go look at the pictures on tug.

take the reviews with a grain of salt.

some people expect the very best and aren't satified with just great.

i haven't stayed at either - but remember some of the reviews of Sheraton Vistana were pretty bad too.

Hey, MaMudduck..............

I think either one would be fine. I remember PhotobearSam saying that they loved VV and were going back. Can't remember when that trip was, maybe she will read your post. I do remember her saying that the 2 bedrooms were like 2 - 1 bedroom lockouts.......better for two couples probably than a family. I would prefer a 2 bedroom standard condo. I think I also would prefer the location of SL better.

But I haven't stayed at either and I could be swayed otherwise. That's just how I feel now with the information I have, such as it is.

Good luck.

it all depends what you won.....recently the vacation village offerings on Skyauction have been the one bedroom partial kitchens which means you are getting the smaller of one bedroom of a thel two bedroom lock out....

if a partial kitchen is what you want then there is probably not a lot of difference between the resorts....both are smaller resorts with high rises...

and as far as location they are both similarily situated with respect to disney .....albeit silver lake has the back entrance into disney as a plus....Vacation Village though has good access to I4 and the 192 entrance to disney ( no more than two miles to that entrance )

I've decided on Silver Lake...someone else in town here has been in the ones at Silver Lake and thats what most of you on this thread had said too.

But I've also put cancelation insurance on it too.

Thanks again
