Do you prefer it with ham, bacon, or sausage?

Thinking of doing breakfast here with DH and DD15months while DD8 and DS5 are on the Pirate Cruise. Would that be do-able? We have never been before and I just wanted to know how you eat your toast?

Also how would I get to the Kona after dropping my kids off at the Pirate Cruise? Thx!!

Eat it with whichever of those you find the saltiest, to offset the sweetness of the toast. The Pirate Cruise is at GF, right? You can get on the monorail to go to the Polynesian.

I had mine with bacon, but I think GoodFairies has a good idea about using saltiness to cut the sweetness of the toast. Also, when your server says 'try it first before you add syrup' (and they most likely will), listen to them. ;)

Bon appetit!

Tonga toast is very sweet! I vote for bacon to go with it! Don't forget a pressed pot of kona coffee!

I like it with bacon. My DH often orders the ham. Just pick your favorite breakfast meat...they're all good.

Besides the monorail, you can also take the little launch :boat: which leaves from the dock by Narccoossee's. I think the Pirate Cruise leaves from the marina which is a different area but not far away....just ask a CM where to go for the launch. :boat: The Polynesian is the next stop.

You could also walk....a very pretty walk along the lagoon. It probably takes about 15 minutes from the marina at GF to the GCH.

After breakfast, the monorail will be the fastest way back. You catch the monorail right by Kona.

We like it with the ham - a large, very good slice.
