3 years ago, I had my heart broken by my fiance who turned out to be a slime. I haven't really dated since. I really needed my own time to do my own thing and figure out who I was and where I was going.
I was introduced to someone not too long ago, and we have been talking on the phone quite a bit since. Last night was our first official date, and honestly, he was everything I thought a first date should be (chivalry is not dead). I really have a LONG list of what I think a good match for me is, and he fits them all - and the person that set us up, well, I trust everything she says, and I know he is a wonderful man. Apparently, he thinks I am a great person too. He respects me and my decisions in every way, and is very supportive of my being a student in University (some guys, by the way, are not). Not only is he wonderful in my eyes, but he also loves Disney, and cannot wait to go again.
I haven't felt like this for a long time and just wanted to share it with you all. It really is a good feeling and I really feel like their is going to be something special with him.
Thanks for listening,
Jo

That is so nice to hear and it is also refreshing to see you taking the time away from your last relationship to be sure about what you want. Glad your are so happy about this! :cheer2:

Having friends set you up is often the best way. That's how I met my DH. Glad you're getting back on that horse. I hope everything turns out great for you.

That sounds like the same situation I was in when I met my SO (except for the university part). It's so great when you know right away that the person is for you. I hope everything works out!!!!!

Ahhh, Jo ... you just made me feel all warm and fuzzy on this snowy day! Enjoy this special time of getting to know each other :)

And he likes Disney :cool1: I dated 3 "Disney Virgins" and took them on trips there :earboy2:, which includes my DH. When I look back, my DH is the only one of those guys that I could have nicely turned into a
Disney-aholic so I guess I married the right one!
