UPDATED: Marathoners Friday Night JELLYROLLS!

Alright, Here's the NEW SCOOP! On Friday, January 7th, we will have a JR Meet! I will bring something lime green for our table(s) so that everybody can find us. I will get there around 8:00. Wear something lime green if you can - Karen's nametags will work great for this! I have TONS of Home Depot paint swatches, too. Here is a list of the people who responded with a "maybe" or a "yes:"

Well, MARATHON GANG! It's time to start planning the fun stuff.... I mean, Suuuure we can eat our way to the marathon, but can we drink, sing, and dance it, too?! I bet we can! That is why I think we should all go to JELLYROLLS on the Boardwalk on Friday night. It will be a great chance for us to all get to know each other and spend some quality time together while enjoying some of the finest nighttime entertainment that WDW has to offer.

So, let's make a date of it...

It's an even later flight, when you think we will be leaving home at 6.30am from Vancouver to drive to Seattle to get our flight. By the time we get to Orlando we will be ready to pass out!

Rachel- DH and I are taking the red eye out of Portland Thursday night! I expect that we will be equally exhausted! It stinks to live on the West Coast for this very reason!

Mom and I will be there :) We have PS at Narcosses right now, but I may change that to a closer resort if I find something that looks good. Let me look up our PS time again and get a better feel, but i'd say we'd get there around 8 ish?

We thought about taking the redeye. But due to the restructuring at work, I can't guarantee that I will get out on time, so we couldn't guarantee we would make the flight!

Ok girls,
Now that I know DD12 did not win her Cheerleading competition that would have had me back at WDW this very week (after being there for the past two weeks) I am planning to come down. Looking at my tickets and hotel options now. If I am able to be there by that time I will be there. Do you all think I should come Thursday night and take off Friday and come home Sunday night or come in Friday evening and go home Monday night? I don't want to take off too much work because I have plans to go to WDW for 2 weeks in July. Don't want to take time away from the kids and DH. I am coming on this trip by myself. I haven't been training either. Gonna start getting on the treadmill each night and building myself up.

My mom and I are planning to come. We have dinner at Ohanas and then perhaps we will stroll through EPCOT to Jelly Rolls, can we walk back after Illuminations and catch a monorail back to the Cont or should we take the rental car?

I've only been to Jellyrolls once before, back in May, 2001 with just my DH and I. But we had fun!

Here is what I think I will do...

If somebody can promise that I will not be there alone, I will go into Jellyrolls early. I will bring something lime green for the tables and put that in the center, so people will be able to find us. Then I will just wait for people to trickle in. I just don't want it to get so busy that we can't sit down-with Sunday only right around the corner, we deserve to sit! Hopefully then somebody else could come and save another table using my other lime green creation. That way we have good seats ready for our good times ahead!

Ashley -- I can tell you that mom and I will definatley be there. i have a PS at narcosses' but am considering changing to Boma (b/c we love) or Spoodles. Then we will come - we are late-night kind of gals and don't have park passes - so probably we'd be there around what 7?? 8???

Are there any dinner plans--I plan on doing my big carb meal on Friday--but I'll be going to bed early and rising early on Saturday a.m., so no Jelly Rolls for me...but if there were plans for dinner--I might be able to swing that!

Anybody doing Spoodles or other type of Italian Restuarant...Maybe it should be Tony's Town Square Resturant with the family after a little afternoon jaunt to MK...hmmmm....thoughts?

I am not running the marathon myself, but DH is. Our plan was to hit Jellyrolls Friday night anyway. It seems we always run out of time to go to Jellyrolls, or have our one year old with us & no sitters... This weekend marathon trip is baby-less! So needless to say, we are going no matter what!

We have early dinner reservations that evening, so we'll have time - we're just worried about her being awake with the in-laws. She wears everyone out!!! I bet SHE could walk the 1/2 on her own! I am hoping my DH and I can come, but I am not sure yet. My DH will be driving from Rhode Island on Thursday and Friday, so it will depend on how long his trip takes. If we are able to come it will be me and DH (Steve).

So, I'm off to see if I can get a PS at 50's Prime Time for about 6:30-6:45P (if they'll make them that late since park closing is 7PM) then I'll just walk over to Jellyrolls after and plan on a taxi back to POP.

I got off my duff and asked hubby and he gave the go ahead...don't know why that makes me feel better, but it does :). So he's got the kids and I get dinner with adults...yippy!

I just don't know if I can fit all these fun things in!! I amy be there, if my plane is on time, and I don't run into traffic, and I don't have to wait to long to check-in and if I can get registered at the expo, and if I can catch a bus in time..... I thought I could leave my day planner at home for this trip, but my schedule is getting more packed than I ever imagined. If I can get there, I'll look for the sedate table of ladies wearing lime green. :rockband:
