I guess that could happen, we have never had a flight time change however we have had flight numbers changed once.
. (third time we've bought tickets more than 6 mths. in advanced)

Yes, it is risky to some extent. But it is well worth the savings. I never purchase a ticket from dallas for over $200. as
for where you are flying from i am not sure what a bargin is. but i would be no more than $200 would be good?

what is your rate?

hope this helps you worry less.

Hi cmatt!

I would proceed with caution here. There have been some threads on the transportation board regarding Orbitz.com that were less than favorable.

With 8 months to go you should have plenty of time to find a decent rate, just keep checking Travelocity or Expedia periodically for the best rates.

Good luck!

Just because you find the fare at orbitz.com doesn't mean you have to buy there. Go directly to the airline website and purchase there. Sometimes, there's even bonus frequent flyer mileage for booking on-line on the airline website.

yep - did it for tix to mco on twa $109.50/pp non-stop, las on national $269/pp non-stop, and lan on nwa $181/pp. all from nyc. found the fares on orbitz.com then bought it directly from the airlines' website.

You can also check on air-fare.com. Get the airline's fare code, then call the airline directly and make the reservation. I did this and saved about $110 per person over the lowest fare given me by the airlines from St. Louis to Orlando. Happy hunting!
