Do food carts in parks accept room charges?

We're leaving next week and I'm going to set my son's room keys to use for charging. I'm not sure if they'll be able to buy snacks with these or not.

Yes, they have a hand held charge machine that has been added to the outdoor food carts that allows room charges. I believe they are all capable of charging now (they just rolled out the new machines).

Yep, we barely used cash at all. We used it everywhere!

We charged everything to our room, even $2 for a soda from a cart....

While it's true that most of the carts now accept room charge, beware that sometimes they can go down. We had several problems with them during the summer, where they were down and we couldn't room charge. So, be aware that while it is possible, it might not be able to be done due to "technical difficulties".

Some of the carts in Epcot don't accept room charges. I know the Kaki Gori cart doesn't we were dissapointed on day this summer as I didn't have any more cash on me.

It did seem like most carts accepted the room key charge. We did find one coffee cart in Epcot that did not accept the room key, but there was a large sign hanging on the cart stating that they did not accept the room key, so it didn't come as a surprise

True...things can happen. My guys won't be alone much, but I'll try to remember to let them carry a little cash just in case.

They'll be able to snack to their hearts content with the room key. The only place in my 10 day trip that didn't accept my room key was the shaved ice place in Japan..... Drawing a blank on the name. Oh, there was a beverage cart too but that was only because the machine was down at the time.
