Yahoo We Finally Joined DVC!!

After years of debating and saying we should have bought back in 1995 when we took our now 10 year old to WDW for the first time (we have gone every year since) I finally convinced DH to buy DVC when we were on our Magic cruise Thanksgiving week!!!! I am soooooooooo excited!!!!!!!! We bought 160 points at Saratoga Springs and I already made our first reservation for this June for 4 nights in a studio at the BCV. DD and I have always wanted to be able to swim at SAB so now we will be able to! Our guide said we should receive our "package" from Fed Ex in the nest day or 2.

We also finally bought on our trip a few weeks ago! SSR is our home too. Quick question, how did you make ressies already? You were already in the system without signing all the paper work? We signed everything at WDW. I was unclear as to when you are actually in the system and able to make a ressie(I know 11 months out for SSR)

Wow, This is so cool! Thanks for all the welcomes everyone!

Desnik Our DVC guide on the cruise told us that we would be able to make our first reservation by the time we got off the cruise. She said just call the 800 number and they would find us in the system. I actually waited a few days because we were still thinking things through and when I called they just asked for my name and SS# and they were able to find us in the system. They were also able to give me our membership number too.

We, too bought on the Turkey Day Gang Cruise! Eric really surpirsed me. He went to the meeting on the first sea day by himself. Teresa (silver7) saw him and he told her, but she kept it a secret until I told her. I've been trying to get him to buy for the past 2 years, but nope. Then battabing he just decides on the cruise! Of course the incentive they offered was nice. We opted for 300 points...Eric thought it'd get us a full week at Thanksgiving since that is when we tend to travel...easier with DS, Nic, who's 12. Congrats on finally buying DVC...looks like we're neighbors!

I enjoyed a stay at OKW in the early 90's, went back to WDW 5 times before buying into DVC. Wouldn't want to rush things ;)
