I am planning a WDW vacation for March 2002.
Am I better off booking a room now, or waiting until next year at this time in the hopes of getting a better rate?
I'm hoping for a Moderate resort and have seen prices on these boards as low as $109.
Any help is appreciated.

March is considered peak season; IMOA I would book now. Especially if you have a favorite resort or room type in mind.
As far as specials ($109 rate); specials aren't alway offered, so there is no way to expect Disney to offer in 2002 a special they did in 2001.
If you book your room now (CRO); and you see on this site a better rate -- just call and change your ressies.
Good Luck, and Hope I could help!

You helped a lot........but.......
As I'm new to these boards, I don't know all of the acronyms or letter abreviations used. Could you please share.
CRO, IOMA, etc.
Thanks again!

First, Welcome to the Boards !!!!
You will find them very helpful in planning your WDW trip.
CRO = central reservations office (disney ressies)
(rather than booking w/ a travel agent who will not allow resort changes to a lower price)
IMHO = In My Honest Opinion
Please feel free to e-mail me w/ any other ?'s.
I agree. I've tried to get a specific hotel 9-12 months ahead of time (during value season!!!) and not been able to do it. I already booked now for early Dec. 2002 (not even Xmas time.) This way you are assured you have the hotel of your first choice. But if you want a discount, just be persistent. I plan on checking back a lot to get a discount on my room! (I was told not to bother before this December though)! If the discount is available you can change the reservation. Good luck.

Can someone please post the BEST numbers to call for CRO?
Also, I can't believe that local travel agents are not giving out the 2001 WDW package brochures - unless you book. That doesn't help me.
Thanks for your help.
