I think I'm going to do it!

My DH and I used to go to DL for his birthday every year, but hadn't over the past few when we made the trek to WDW. I decided this morning I want to suprise him with a trip down south. I found HOJO for ~70/night. My SIL works for Disney, so I think she may be able to get us in.

I am so excited! My mom, sister and brother are out in FL right now, and called us to brag about going to MK etc, and I really need a Disney fix.

How do you think crowds will be Dec 10 (fri) and 11 (sat). It hasn't been too bad in the past, but are there special events I should know about?

It will be crowded. Not crazy crowded, but busy. Just use FassPass and try to arrive right when the parks open, and oh, be patient. Hope you go, I envy you, have a fabulous vacation :D

Your SIL will be able to sign you in for Friday but, Saturday is a blackout day for CM's.
Nothing special will be going on for the weekend, just the usual Christmas stuff. i.e. Haunted Mansion Holiday, Small World Holiday, Believe In Holiday Magic Fireworks, Christmas Fantasy Parade,

We've gone in Oct. & Dec. We loved it in Dec. No waiting in lines for more than 10 min. When I went in Oct. I was kind of irritated waiting 20 min for the Jungle Cruise. Can you imagine how I'll feel when I go this summer? We usually go the 13-23 of Dec. and have loved it. Only drawback is it's cold but remember I'm from the Aloha state where we wear shorts all year long.
