Anyone going to attend one of the Merry Member Mixers?

Wondering if anyone here on the Community Board will be attending any of the Merry Member Mixers? We'll be trying to get there on the 7th at about 3 or 3:30, before going to MVMCP - hoping they have a character or two there for the little ones !!

We are going to attempt the one on December 21st although we have professional pictures scheduled at the Boardwalk at 4:30 so we will have to cut it short.

Looks like we will be ariving the same day to SSR. Hopefully we will get a chance to meet you at the mixer. We will be the family with kids ranging from 25 to 8.

It actually sounds similar to the old Tuesday member get-togethers on the walkway outside Hospitality House.

We arrive on the 23rd and leave late morning on the 28th so we won't be able to take advantage of it. Are there any Disboard meets taking place within our timeframe? We attended a "Member Update" at OKW in June of '03 and met a few DVC members, but not members of this "on-line community." We'll be staying at VWL. Still amazed we were able to reserve at less than 6 months (even a studio). Our home resort is BCV, but we loved our 6 days at VWL this past June. Since my wife is having ACL replacement surgery this coming June from a January ski accident, we decided to do a Xmas trip since June will be rehab following the surgery. We spent 8 days at BCV last Xmas and loved it despite the crowds, and are already looking at dayes for next Xmas. Looks like we'll never get out of "point debt."

I hadn't heard of this until now! I think I can make the one on the 28th. I'd love to meet other DISboard DVCers. Since I just bought DVC a few months ago, I'll be staying offsite (sob!) So, this will add a little "Welcome Home" to my trip.

I don't know of there are general (non-DVC) DISboards gatherings this December. Would the board to check for that be the theme parks board, or the community board?

We'll be going on the 14th. We have tickets for the CP at 5pm so the timing is perfect for us. We'll just walk over from the Boardwalk to the party. Hope we see some other DIS'ers.

My cousin and I will be experiencing Disney World in Dec. Looking forward to meeting other DVC'ers on Dec. 14 at the Merry Mixer! Sounds like a lot of fun! Hope eveyone has a magical time! :cheer2:

Would some of you who are going to the Merry Mixer suggest that DVC continue this at least for another week. We'll be there the following week, 1/4, and would definitely attend one if they continued.

We JUST got home from WDW!!! We went to the DVC mixer...it was really fun. We didn't get there until the very end...we got a beautiful key ring!!! I really recommend everyone going!!
