Not sure if this has been posted yet, but National's base rate for full size/intermediate/standsard, etc. has gone down to $124.42. Every little bit helps. :bounce:

On my August ressie, the base rate actually went up. :( I assume, Bo'sMom, that your rental is in Sept.?

Thanks anyway for the heads up.

I just called and was quoted a rate (WITH AAA) of $144 plus tax for a midsize for the last week of Sept -- fullsize, of course would be more....he had "no idea what I was talking about" when I said "is the baserate not down to $124? Of course, I was probably clueless in how to inquire about this -- any tips?!

Reserve it on the internet!

That gives you the best prices. find a good contract code and coupon and you'll save even more. I found the Disney Club contract club and free day coupon to be the best discount.

I just posted the $124 on another thread. It was for September. I didn't check August.

I'm going end of November and I can't wait for my rate of $146. to come down!

If we all keep posting our lower rates and dates that we're going, we can help each other!

Thanks!:)

I just tried to lower our November reservation. The base rate did come down, but I could not get the coupon I'm using in addition to the DC discount to take. So my old reservation was $20 cheaper then the new quote was with a lower base rate. Still with me? I kept the old one for now.

the place!! I just tried our res for early August, and the base rate had jumped to 171.99!!! I've never seen it that high...wonder what's going on? September's down, but sudden BIG increases in August?? Weird.

I'm hanging onto my earlier ressie for sure!!
