My first post--please bear with me.
I have just made a reservation with Prestige for a town car. When these transportation agencies allow a grocery stop (and they let you choose--not even sure if Prestige lets you choose) which grocery is a better value?
Thanks (Oh, we're arriving Dec 11th--my son is playing in a chess tournament at the Dolphin)

Hi Beth. Sorry, can't answer your question ... I think most town cars have a "standard" store that they stop at that is right on the route from the airport to hotel. I really just wanted to say "Hi" and Welcome to the DIS !
One thing I will have handy is a ready-made list of everything I want to pick up. It's so hard to be shopping in a store that you're unfamiliar with ... and even worse when you are concious of the 30 minute timeframe.
Good Luck!

Thanks, Mary-Liz,
What kinds of things did you have on your list? I've never done this before. I'm thinking of sending a package of non-perishables to the Dolphin a few days before we leave. I'm not sure how much room I will have in our refrig. at the Dolphin--it's a "stocked" refrig.
I would imagine I'll need bread, milk, juice, fruit, water, pop--what else am I forgetting?
Thanks,
Beth

seems like I've seen price comparisons somewhere...?on Mousesavers maybe?
Publix or Albertson's are supposedly less expensive than Goodings. I went with *********** towncars last trip and we stopped at Publix.
Have a fun trip!

OK...let me correct my post...the info was in the Unofficial Guide! Publix was least expensive, then Winn-Dixie, then Goodings.

I will have a rental car, so Time is not an issue... I will need to buy diapers and snacks... water...etc... so inexpensive is the key ! LOL :charac2:
Any local maps online?
Thanks for the help!

Publix is way less expensive than all of the others, Winn Dixie and Albertsons are pretty much equal and Goodings is expensive.
