Good Morning, All!

T.Bob, thank you for the photo! What an incredible group! It will be the centerpiece of my scrapbook :-)

I made some more copies of the Christmas card - next year, I guess I'll have to order 100.

No snow yet up here in the northeast. I would have liked a white Christmas - and t hen for it to go away the day after. Bruce, on the other hand, would like it to start and not stop.

Happy Day, All!

Morning all,
we have a beautiful sunny morning, with rain on its way this weekend, which is great since we didnt get rain all summer which is our rainy season.
I am happy we dont live in Denver, just saw pictures of their snow storm!!!
I love snow, but not that much.

I am feeling a little better today, Bill the monkey must of helped!!!

Got to go to the bank and pharmacy this morning before the roads get too crazy  with holiday traffic.

Linda, I agree we were (are) an incredible group. :thumbsup2
Did you receive the map from DCL yet??? I am sure it will be a very nice one.

got to get stuff done so I can rest. I will check in later to see what is happening around here today.

have a great day everyone!!! :yay:

Evenin, everyone....

Don't worry, Cheri....We're converting people over to the good side....
I have high hopes that 07 will be a true pre-08 nanahead reunion.

Kathy...I sure hope you feel better. Sucks to be sick...
Here, have a monkey....http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/woogal/UkkiBannana.gifmonkeys always make ya feel better.

Let's keep working on those nanas for 2007!!!!

Maybe by '08, we'll be able to book as one big family :grouphug: . . .is there a large group discount we could qualify for (I know they have the family reunion package)??? By the way things sound so far, we may be pretty cozy after the 2007 cruise! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Anybody got a good Disney travel agent? I could ask mine. . . she knows all the angles.

Here's a new recipe:

Jen's Orange-Pumpkin Roll
Pumpkin, packed with vitamin A, proves it has a life after Thanksgiving.

Serves 10
Canola-oil cooking spray
Parchment paper
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp salt
3 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup pumpkin puree
2 tsp grated orange zest
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
2/3 cup confectioners' sugar, plus extra for dusting
1 tsp gelatin
1 cup lowfat ricotta cheese
6 oz lowfat cream cheese
1 tbsp finely minced candied orange peel

Heat oven to 375°. Coat a 12" x 15" x 1" jelly-roll pan with cooking spray. Line with parchment paper; coat with cooking spray. Whisk flour, cinnamon, baking powder, nutmeg, ginger and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, beat eggs with an electric mixer on high until fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar until combined. Reduce speed to low; add pumpkin, zest and vanilla until just combined. Gently but thoroughly fold in flour mixture. Pour batter into prepared pan. Spread into an even layer. Sprinkle pecans on top. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Lightly dust a clean towel with confectioners' sugar. Remove cake from oven. Invert cake onto towel. Remove pan. Gently peel off top parchment. Tightly roll up cake in towel, starting on long side closest to you. Place seam side down on a rack. Place gelatin and 1 tbsp cold water in a heatproof bowl; place bowl in pan of hot water to melt gelatin. In another bowl, beat ricotta, cream cheese and confectioners' sugar with an electric mixer on medium until smooth. Beat in gelatin and candied peel. Cover; refrigerate at least 1 hour. Gently unroll cake; set towel aside. Spread top with even layer of filling, leaving a 1-inch border on the far side. Gently roll up cake. Place seam side down on a platter. Refrigerate until ready to serve, covered loosely with plastic wrap. Before serving, trim cake by diagonally cutting thin slice off each end. Dust with confectioners' sugar.

The skinny 275 calories per serving, 12 g fat (3.7 g saturated), 35 g carbs, 1.9 g fiber, 8.7 g protein

She got it from "shape" magazine and it was SOOOOOOOOOO good - not disgustingly pumpkiny but just right!

Hi guys,
I wanted to pop in and say what a wonderful time we had on our cruise. I miss it so much already. I was not able to go to the meet (our 4 kids going every which way made it hard), but I met Kathy and her husband  , and saw and recognized alot of people from their photos--I was just too shy, and didn't think anyone would know me. I sat right behind Woogal and cruisemutt a few times at the adult shows...weren't they funny? We loved the entertainment that cruise.... :teeth:

To answer your question about the group booking, I am a travel agent, and have looked into DCL groups before. Basically, they give you $100 credit for each room, and a group gift per room for groups of 8 staterooms or larger. The only problem is that if you rebooked on board, that deal of $200 stateroom credit is much better, so it cancels the group one out. Alot of times the TA throws in a few extra incentives, and sometimes has a bonus from the group booking that can be split up amongst the rooms. HTH!

Good Afternoon    ,
Sorry I did not get to write yesterday. Yesterday was a nightmare for me!! DS was terrible and I just could not make him happy. Today in the morning he was unhappy but he seems fine now. He is back trying to get into everything. Tomorrow I am going to get all my cold cuts and last minute things for Christmas. Well I have to get dinner ready because DH left early today. it was fun meeting you and I did watch for you at the meet, wish you would of come! People wernt as mean as you might of heard :lmao: , accept Mutt, he did bite a couple of people :rotfl2: . But Shell said he has had his shots so no worries!
All kidding aside I did look for you several times after we met and a couple of people did ask me if I had seen you because they hadnt got to meet you yet.
Hopefully our paths will cross again someday. I will help you get over your shyness. I use to be very shy too.
Did any of your family get ill?? I hope not, but many of us did.

Hope everyone had a good day.

I did all my errands so I shouldnt have to leave the house again until after Christmas. Thank goodness.

Have a great evening,

WHAT am I gonna dooooooooo? 48 hours with out my nanahead friends?

Pretending to work here. B was smart - he took the day off to go skiing.

Woo, with Drew, that's an easy answer - I pity those kids their food bill when that boy gets to be a teenager!

Lynn, he couldn't be teething, could he? (sorting my photos - you guys get a double page spread in my sb, I've got so many - and they're ALL irresistable!)

Happy Day, All! And happy holiday too, if I don't get back here before the boards go down!

This chimpanzee head is a gift to me from Peter?? It is a freaky thing that is so life like and it has motion sensors so it's eyes follow you and he chatters at you, sometimes happily, other times mad.
You can stroke his head(YEACH!!!) and he smiles and chatters at you or flick his ear and he gets mad and chews you out.You sort of have to see and hear it in person to fully appreciate it.
I know we have a weird sense of humor around here, but he didnt get it from me, I blame his dad!! Ha! Ha!

We had a good day - opened our cards this morning - and even got some from you guys - WITH PHOTOS! WOOHOO! out for brandy Alexanders. . My tea rings came out good.

Then home to cook. 7 for dinner - dinner was good but you know it takes two days to prep and 1/2 hour to eat and then you gotta deal with the leftovers.

I'm tired - thank goodness everybody was gone by 7. I see why people entertain in restaurants it's a LOT of work. I'll try to upload some photos.

Sleep well, friends.

If it's the quick reply icon you're having trouble with - it's not working for me either - I have to use the "post reply" button. Trouble with smilies too.

Received more recipes this morning, this time from Okie! Thank you, Okie!

Deadline for submission is February 1, then i'll put them together in some format or other and send them out to everyone who contributed. (So if you WANT to be tempted by those yummy goodies, ya better submit at least ONE, hmm?

Back at work - been here an hour and so far not seen nor heard another soul. I can see a lot will get done today.

Good morning to all,

we are 37 degrees this morning in Florida. Gonna get to the mid 60's by late afternoon.
On Christmas day we had 3 tornadoes hit the state. One hit Leesburg which is spitting distance from me. It destroyed several mobile homes in one park. Luckily most of the people were not home, they were in the club house eating Christmas dinner, no serious injuries.
They say it was an F2 which was 150 MPH winds.
Deland had it too and destroyed 53 homes and apartments in a matter of a few minutes. Again no serious injuries, however now they are saying another storm is gonna be here on New Years weekend, so it could happen all over again.

Well today I will brave the stores during the clearance sales to get a few things and going to try to get to the post office to mail Bob the CD for the mossiac.:thumbsup2

Anybody got plans for New Years?? Anybody giving a party?? I am looking for a party to crash!! :rolleyes1
I'll bring my chimp head to start up some conversations.;)

well have a good day everyone,

No party here! We'll probably have something interesting for dinner - if I can figger out what that is - and eventually go to bed with our books. Allthough, one year not too long ago there were concerts on PBS - Moody Blues, Bee Gees, I forget who-all and we wound up staying up thi 3 in the morning, so I guess, if there's something happening we CAN stay awake. :confused3

Lynn, So sorry you're sick. Shall I come down and babysit Drew so you can rest? (Gotta get my hands on that baby! hehehee)

Gosh, I hope the weather in Florida gets better before I get back down there next week. I can freeze here at home! It was spritzing snow this morning, but we still haven't had any stick. It hardly seemed like Christmas.

Happy Day, All!

OK this is for Bob.....How many pictures do you want from each of us? Or actually anyone sending pictures can let me know how many you are sending. I have picked out 13 pictures....just tried to keep with the nana theme.....

I'm hoping to pin son down today so he can copy them for me and then I will get them out.

Oh I have been wanting to tell you this and keep forgetting the day we sailed away my son captured the ship...he then wrote on it in disney print sail away the date and time....when we got home on the 2nd he put it up for us....very cool... did you maybe want that picture also??? let me know

So What's everyone having to eat on New Years Eve / New Years day?

Well, now we get into another one of those cultural things. For southerners, there should only be one meal on New Year's Day:

Black-Eyed Peas with Ham Hock
Turnip/Collard Greens (also cooked with ham hock)
Cornbread.

The meanings are as follows:
Black-eyed peas: Coins in your pocket
Greens: Dollar bills in your pocket
Ham Hock: Good Luck
Cornbread: It goes with the other stuff!:rotfl2:

Hi Pat,
so glad you posted. I hope you'll post some pictures soon.
each time someone shares photos we all relive a part of our cruise!! Just like reading trip report. Maybe you could write one of those too!! I would love to read it.

Linda,
no menu here for next weekend?? Bobs menu sounded good to me!!
Maybe I will spoil my guys with biccuits and sausage gravy. They love it, but due to high fat and cholesterol I dont make it too often.
Perhaps a cherry or apple pie for dessert?? Hopefully all the Christmas goodies will be gone by then so they will have room for some pie.

I just finished watching the Shaggy Dog starring Tim Allen. It was a cute show, pretty crazy but still fun to watch. I saw the original version many years ago and liked it so I was afraid to see a remake, they usually are a disappointment after seeing the original, but I liked this one.

Linda I am glad you had so many pictures to send Bob, that makes up for us not having a huge amount to send. I know those mosiacs take a lot of photos to look good.

we were very cold again last night, low 40's but it is a beautiful 65 degree day out which is really nice. Minnie even took a nap on the lounge chair outside today.

I will check back later today to see who all has checked in today,

Bob, if I knew how to make turnip greens as good as they make at House of Blues I would make them in a heartbeat. I LOVE 'em! I do make hoppin' John on New Years day. Kathy, likewise sausage gravey - I LOVE it, but only get it in truckstops when we drive west. Roast pork sounds good too.

While food is on my mind (when is it not?) . . . Anybody got any recipes for leftover turkey? I fed 7, gave everybody care packages to take home, and made turkey crunch for supper last night, but i've still got at LEAST two meals worth left. HELP.

Lynn, are you feeling better? How's A's tooth?

Hi there- We are still trying to decide what to have to eat on new years. We are having a small party here with no kids:cool1: We were talking about getting chinese or making something else. I voted for chinese so we don't have to cook.

Today I took the kids to see Charolttes Web. It is a really cute movie. Yesterday I went to see the Holiday. That was a great chick flick!! I would reccomend it to all of you ladies. It's a  story.

Denise-That is great your daughter is coming home. I hope you guys enjoy your time together. She is in the service right? What branch of the military is she in?

Kathy-I saw that crazy chimp head that you got for Christmas in Target today. The lady that works there said we just can't get rid of it. I wonder why??:rotfl: It is more scary looking in person:lmao:

No excuses, you all took the trip and have experiences and opinions to express about it, so lets share them!!! Lets show the dis board that we were an awesome group that really had a great time together!! I dont think there has ever been a cruise where all the dis members posted a report!!
 Lets be the first to do it!!:dance3:

come on people it's not that hard to do. It is even fun to relive some of your favorite moments on board the ship or on the islands.

No major plans for New Year's. We've been invited to a party, so we may go early and come back early, then just be home for the last few hours of 2006. OR we may just stay home the whole night!

Linda -- turkey soup, turkey hash, turkey a'la king, turkey sandwiches -- oh wait, that's what Ralphie's mom usually made with her turkey leftovers! We're still working on leftovers from our Cristmas Eve party so lunch everyday consists of meatballs, sandwiches, and veggies & dip!

Lynn -- hope Andreew starts feeling better soon!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Couldn't remember where someone posted the "what do you do for New Year's" question so I just posted my answer on the 07 board. But now I'm reading here and I think it was here. So forgive my double post. I really gotta narrow this down to one board to keep up with! :surfweb:

Happy New Year to All.
We will go out to dinner (the whole gang) relatively early and then head home and have a home based New Year's Rockin' Eve. Elizabeth found a New Year's Eve kit last year at Target and she wants to get another for this year. It comes filled with hats, noisemakers, etc. and then we make some popcorn and guacamole and stay up late. popcorn:: If it wasn't for the kids, I probably would have a tough time making it til midnight!

Then New Year's Day, we are like Bill, we gotta have the pork and saurkraut. Not my favorite meal of the year, but my mom (despite being Italian) drilled it into my head that we needed to eat that for good luck for the year. We also observe a Greek tradition (Mina is Greek and her mom hails from an island and is stuck here in Pittsburgh - poor Elli) in cutting the New Year's bread. There is a coin hidden inside and whomever gets it in their slice will have good luck for the year. You even cut a piece for "the house" - i'm not really sure why - you just do.

Linda - Mina is hoping to submit her baklava recipe for the cookbook if she ever gets 10 minutes to sit down and type it.

Bob - I'm on my way to the post office right now to get that CD in the mail. Sending you my brochure (for my biz) as well.

So what are everyone's New Year's Resolutions. I used to make fun of the people who would show up at the gym starting on January 2 but after 3 months of complete chaos in my world (work, family, vacation and the holidays) I am one of them.

Happy day everyone!

I tried to post this at 3 am, but it wouldn't take it - so here it is now;)

Ohhhhhh I forgot Turkey Tetrazinni - how do you spell that???? - I love that dish. Thanks for the reminder - i think I have a recipe for it.

Didn't get as much done at the crop as i'd hoped, but I did figure out a design plan and complete 8 pages before I wore out at 8 pm.

One of my friends here who is flying to Florida on Thursday called me and said there was a "ding" out for southwest for Wednesday night and did I want to go down early. Does a duck QUACK? HECK YES! So, she got back on the horn and got the ding fare for me - and I saved $120!

Anyway, that means hustling even faster next week, so I may not get the scrapbook done til I get back - between then and the recipe book. Oye. BUSY winter.

Okie and Wendy, I'm sorry you have to work, but glad there are dedicated people like you who do work while the rest of the world parties. Blessed are the caretakers . . . .

Bob, there's a gingerbread house photo and some detail shots on the cd I sent you. None of them have any people in them.

Lynn, When does Andrew get to go to the dentist? The poor fellow! HE must be absolutely miserable. Dr. Mom says Did you get him some orajel? That may help - you'll want it for the baby teething anyway. And also, if he can take advil - . . . he should do so - lots and regularly until he can see the dentist. WHAT were they thinking not to get him some relief before the long weekend?!

guess I'll go back to bed now! Hope you all are sleeping sweetly!

Okie, I am the same way,but one benefit, you gotta love Holiday pay.

I am off today, we are going to the last Saints game before the playoffs. Yippee

Then we are busy next week, I worl Monday, Tuesday is my birthday so there must be festivities, Wednesday LSU plays in the SugarBowl. I work Thursday and Friday Austin is back at school.
It has been quiet here this week they left last tuesday with my parents to go to Disney. They are camping at Fort Wilderness and loving it.
They are driving home Wednesday so they can get home in time to see the game, and Austin was worried I would be sad he wasn't here on my Birthday. How do you explain to a 12 year old that this just means mommy can have a liquid lunch for her birthday, Shell, Cherie???

Happy New Year All

Well its another rainy day here in the burbs....we were going to go out for an early dinner tonight, but canged our plans. Since my daughter came home in her uniform and all her clothes are in storage in colorado....she ordered a few things on line and they were delivered here. But she still dosnt have the wardrobe that she normally does, so we decided to just stay in, get some chineese food and pig out here!!!!

Happy New Year to my DIS family!!!

We had a busy December:

FUN STUFF:
The cruise and meeting all of you. What a fun bunch we are!

Celebrating Christmas at a hotel with an indoor waterpark with our Michigan kids and grand kids was awesome. We voted to do that again in 2007.

Celebrating Christmas in Morgantown, WV these past few days with our WV kids and grandkids was great.

NOT FUN STUFF:
Getting sick for almost 2 weeks was not fun at all.

Working full time and in the legal field in December is certainly not fun at all.

Lynn: Hope DH is feeling better.

Kathy: Loved your Christmas pics!!! The lamp is going to be your "conversation piece" in your home.

Denise: Glad to hear that your daughter is coming back. :cheer2:

Wendy and Emily: Happy Birthday!!! :cheer2:

Dave and I are heading to the grocery store today, doing laundry, and taking down Christmas decorations.

Hey, it finally happened. As I was driving down the street a neighbor flagged me down and said she LOVED the lamp!! She said when she saw it she ran inside and drug her husband outside to show him. They both thought it was great!!!
I am still turning it on at night with the drapes open.
Hopefully others will notice it too.

So far so good on the birthday for Emily. She woke up this morning and was standing up in her crib and I went in and said Happy Birthday and she gave me a smile that melted this daddy's heart. She goes to "school" (daycare) today and gets to have a party with all her school friends this afternoon. Mina, Elizabeth and I will be there too as they plan it for a time that older siblings who are in real school can get there. Then out to dinner to her favorite restaurant and gifts at home. On Sunday the REAL party happens with some neighborhood friends and family. This after holiday birthday thing is hard but by the end of it all we'll need a vacation. Hmmmmm. Wonder where to next...

No snow here Kathy. Saw a 2 week forecast last night and the lowest "high" temp is 37 in that period and most days are in the 50s. I'm lovin it. With every week we have like this, I feel like we have dodged a week of winter which I absolutely hate.

Have a great day all! And thanks for all the well-wishes for Miss Emily's third birthday.

Speaking of Christmas cards, I sit here with my hat in my hand sending out the most sincere of apologies. Lisa and I got so busy that even family didn't get Christmas cards this year. I was not expecting to be on the road the last three weeks of December, and that messed our plans up greatly.

So, to all who sent me a card, and didn't send one in return, thank you and I promise to make up for it next year!

Hi everyone, Its warm and rainy today. It is suppose to be 56 today. That is unheard of for Michigan in January.

This weekend we have a funeral. A friend of ours passed away on Wednesday. Shes has had several health problems over the last few months. It is very sad. I am not looking forward to the funeral. Our weekend ends on a happy note though. We are celebrating Christmas with all of Johns family. We are going to a hotel with an indoor pool. There will be about 60 of us there. It should be fun. :)

I was not good about getting my cards out either. I never finished. When ever I go on vacation in December my cards never get finished. I liked what Kathy did delivering them on the ship. I will do that next time in 2008.:thumbsup2

Kathy enjoy your visit with Linda. Tell her hello. We will be in Sarasota in April, maybe we can hook up with you guys then. Although I am thinking you may be on your cruise. We will be there April 7-14th

Hope everyone one has a good weekend.

Gosh, I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one who didn't send cards out.
I was kind of embarassed to say anything to anyone who sent me one. But thanks to those three people who sent me one. I truly appreciated it and it made me feel like one of the banana group.
Stephen made the comment that he wished we could have spent more time getting to knew "the group". With him having the little ones, that were unable to go to any of the clubs, made it difficult for he and Esther to make the rounds with adults. Steve and I tried to help them out as much as we could so they could enjoy their trip as well. Maybe in 08;) I appreciate Jeff and family. They helped Stacey form memories that will last a life time.
Steve and I are still thinking about the 07 cruise and maybe we can get together with you all!

Not to get all sappy or anything but we SO appreciate your family as well. Every day, literally, either Elizabeth or Emily mention Stacey. They both also have memories that will last a lifetime. We hope to get down to the "World" sometime between now and the next cruise (Nov. 07) and hope that we can connect with y'all so Elizabeth can get another chance to hang out with Stacey. Kathy, we are going tomorrow! Just got back from painting the IL's room. I think we are going to EPCOT also. Let you know more this evening.

Lynn - Know what you mean about getting rid of things. When we sold our last house and had this one built I tossed out a bunch of things. Just be careful what you toss. Steve thought one of the boxes was trash and took it to the dump. It was my children's baby books! To this day I get sick thinking about it. All of my precious memories of the "first" everything was in those books, including their little hospital bracelets. I know Steve felt bad too so it was hard to get upset with him. It was just as much my fault as his. I placed the box by the wrong pile of junk.

So what are all of you up to today? Nothing new or exciting here. Just going grocery shopping with my daughter.....thats about it.

Had our "holiday party" from work last night. Had an ok time. I really didnt want to go, but felt like I had to. But part of the party was fun....we had brought it baby pictures...then we had to match who was who....I got about 3 wrong.....I was so sure I had them all right!! Then we also had to submit a "fun fact" about ourselfs from our childhood.....I actually got the most right...and I guessed at 90% of them. But all in all it was an ok time.

Nothing else going on here except the same old stuff.

Have a good day...

Well we just got back from spending a couple of hours with Linda at Epcot. It was alot of fun. We visited a few minutes, then we went all the way around the worlds. We stopped in Japan and went into the gift shop. Very strange foods in there.
Then as you exit there is another room that use to be a baseball exhibit, but now it is OLD metal toys. it was a great exhibit to go and look at. Nice and air conditioned too. It was in the low 80's outside!!

Then when we go to Canada we stopped and watched the last of the performance of Off Kilter. For those of you have never been there, they are a rock n roll band from Canada and they feature a bag pipe in all the rock n roll songs as well as the usual instruments.
I waited patiently for a gust of wind to see of they were true Scotsmen, but no luck Then the lead singer twirled and i discovered there were NOT true Scotsmen because he had maroon colored shorts on!!

We decided even though they were good, they were NO Tiara Bob and the Dreamboats!!!!

It was a very good visit and then Linda was off to China to meet a friend at 3:30 for a late lunch. I did deliver all the hugs I was asked to give and told her Hi from Drew and others.

All and all it was a good day. I really enjoyed our visit since we didnt have much of a chance to talk a lot on the ship. I only have one picture on my camera, the rest Linda has, but I will post it next. Remember it was a HOT, WINDY day when you see our hair!!

Linda will be off cruising on the Wonder in just a few days!!!

Oh well, we decided to go and finish going around the worlds. we did stop for a few pictures. Dimples was our mascot and she was all in red , white and blue. Very partiotic!!!

Hi Okie,
It is good to hear from you. It has been awhile.
These ATV's are illegal on the road. They are made for trails, sand dunes and such. We have many miles of trail near us that are designated just for ATV's. That is where we will be riding.
And eventually when we move back to Oregon in a few years we have family and friends that ride them all over the place too. They will show us where all the trails are at.

We saw a couple of cruise lines buses today at WDW, really made us think about the cruise!!

Pat, I'm with you aboht the gators , CHOMP!!! CHOMP!!!, CHOMP!!!
wish you could of made it today. I did tell Linda you tired but it didnt work out this time. We parked at ticket and transportation center and took the monorail to Epcot so we didnt have to worry about traffic and crowds. It was really nice. It didnt really get crowded until about the time we left. The race didnt end until about 1:00, bu tuntil then you could walk right on anything because people were watching the race instead of going on attractions. Hope to see you in 2 to 3 weeks.

Love the new 4 wheeler!! We 4 wheel 1 a year up north. It is always a lot of fun. So you are moving back to Oregan in a few years?? Will you spend your winters in Florida?

Lynn-Have fun at the Ice show. I always enjoy going too!

Okie-good to hear from you!! I too had a ton of pine needs to vacum up. I still need to finish.

Our weekend was pretty good. We had the funeral on Saturday. That went well. It was a nice tribute of her life. It will leave a void in our life.:sad1: Then we were off to the big family Christmas party. There were some tense and exciting moments.:scared1: Johns grandma collapsed. John is a paramedic so he went right to work. They called 911. Turned out she just fainted, but John thought he was going to be doing CPR on his grandma. Thank God she was OK!! The rest of the evening was alot of fun:thumbsup2

Guess what?? it finally snowed today. I had to do a doulbe take. It has been so warm here. It is going to be hard to get used to the cold weather again. I am looking forward to taking the kids sledding. I don't think the lakes will even freeze this year, so I guess we won't be ice skating.:confused3

That is the plan, summers in Oregon and when it turns cold, back to Florida with all the other snow birders for the winter. probably another 7 or 8 years, depending on finances at the time. Trying for an early retirement!!

Ok..so it seems that Shell and Bill are alone in their Buckeye support, so I'm going to jump on the bandwagon. Sorry Pat and Kathy, but any team that regularly kicks the crap out of State Penn (oops I mean Penn State) is okay in my book. Plus I went to Ohio U for grad school, so there's some Ohio in me. Go Buckeyes!

Kathy - This is a looooooooooooooooooong shot you know. Not that I don't believe and totally support my love for those big teeth and eyes. Still girl, glad you're on my side! This game has my FIL so shaken that he has to take meds before he can watch it!
Gotta go, Laura is having a fit! Going to put on an einstein video for her, she has one about a gator!
GO GATORS!

Good Afternoon    ,
Well it's a said day in NY that both our football teams lost in the 1st round in the playoffs:sad1: :sad2: !! Today DS and I ran to Toys R Us and I think I could buy home self everything I see in that store. Then my friend came over to have lunch with DS and I. Tomorrow I am off to my in-laws and the mall down there with my SIL and niece. Talk to you all later!!

Kathy: Nice Wheels!! Have fun with your new toy!!

I'm glad I didn't participate too heavily in this OSU thing....I KNOW what kind of luck this state has regarding sports.

Have a good day everyone...

How do we "shut it down"? Do we just make the last post something like: "Please join the Dancing Banana Heads on our upcoming cruise boards, 11/07 (link) and 11/08 (link). Do not post to this board." (but in a much more elegant and banana-like way!). I'll volunteer to word it properly if you like, but I'd like to see a majority of :thumbsup2 before we do it. Kathy? Pat? Lorna? Anyone?

I wonder if we could ask one of the moderators to lock it after Shell posts that last message. 2 boards are enough to keep up with. Three is too many! We just need to sure to include a message that all Nana Heads are invited to post on the other two boards, even if they haven't committed to one of the cruises. Anyone else agree?

I think going to two threads is great. I posted the same idea on the 08 thread yesterday.
I think Shell doing a final post would be great and then we will all just start posting on the other 2 threads.

Bye Bye 06, hello 07 and 08!!!!
