congrats to all on the 6000 posts. I can't believe I forgot to go onto Southwest.com to print my boarding pass at the 24 hour mark. For the first time ever, I got a B for us. I HOPE they still let folks with 2 year olds on first. Otherwise it will be a stressful morning with the girls. *sigh*

Happy Thanksgiving all, I hope you all had a wonderful dinner. My dad makes a mac-n-cheese (recipe is secret) that makes our holiday a real Thanksgiving.

We also went to a home where my aunt works (not lives) and gave her some of our dinner, in appretiation to what she does, working long hours during the holidays (she's taking care of our dog too :thumbsup2 )

Has anyone else noticed that this thread will be two years old in two days? That's an average of 8.2 posts per day! (I used a calculator, I'm not that smrt (I left the 'a' out on purpose)). Hey, I might see some of you tommorrow. Cool! Is anyone getting up at 6:30 to see the ship come in? I might. That is if I get up.

Good Evening Banana Heads

I talked to Wendy a few hours ago and they were on the road to Orlando. Figure they should be there about midnight or 1 a.m. in dad's RV. Neither she nor I slept much last night, but she figured she'd stretch out on the couch while dad drove and get a few zzzzs. Hopefully, she did! As for me, I'm going to go the Tylenol PM route tonight and force a full night's sleep.

Can you believe how close we are? It's still surreal. Maybe I'll believe it all when we get to the airport in the morning!!

Josh,
you'd better get up before 6:30 if your gonna watch the ship come in.
It is usually docked by no later than 6:00 a.m. :hourglass

we are going to try to get down on the beach about 5:30 a.m. and watch the ship pull in the channel. I would love to get it all lit up as it returns.
Jetty park is closed that early so we have to see if there is a safe place we can go to watch it without getting mugged. :rotfl2:
We will check it out friday to see if we can find a good place. :cheer2:

I will try to check in once more in the morning if I have the time, if not I iwll see you all on saturday!! Plus for anyone staying at the Radisson I may catch you there tomarrow!!! :woohoo:

THE MASTERPIECE

Here is Bill's contribution to Thanksgiving Dinner today at his parent's house:
This is a 3-layer french vanilla cake with pumpkin mousse in between the layers. Surrounding it are white and milk chocolate molded cups filled with pumpkin mousse. The stem is carved from combined milk and white chocolates and air-brushed with food coloring. Not too shabby, huh? Think maybe we might have a winning business here? :cool1:
That is pretty darn good dude! Maybe you need to TEACH the next cake decorating class!

Well folks, I just finished printing the last of the 5 door signs. Didn't want to buy two packs of paper, so I consolidated each of the beach days and formal/semi-formal night into one sign each. I have one for the first day, one for our anniversary (Tuesday), and one for the last night. I have found some beautiful clip-art over the last few months and am very proud of my signs.

Lisa and I will be leaving sometime between and 9 and 10 in the morning to make the drive to Cocoa! See you all on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.!

Good Evening all. Congrats on 6k. I thought I would never catch up. We are done packing, well minus the toothbrushes in the morning. Other than that, ready to go. Now I need to go to bed so that the only things I have to do is just have to take the dog to the Pet Motel and then come back and get the luggage and head to the airport. I will try to post in the morning, but if not, I will check in when we get to somewhere that has wifi.

Safe Trip to everyone that hasn't already left. See ya all reallllllllll soon.

Pat, I will have my short on when we arrive at the terminal so everyone will know we are a part of the group. It was my understanding everyone is going to be wearing them as they arrive so we can find each other even before the meet. That is a lot of fun to do.
We are going to be there at 10 when the port first opens so we can watch for other green shorts to arrive and say howdy!!! I know Wendy and Tom hope to be there at 10 too.

Hi Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are at the Residence Inn in Cocoa Beach. We arrived yesterday around 3pm. It was too cold to go swimming :guilty: but we did take a walk on the beach. It is warmer today - although the Floridians will think us crazy, we will ikely take Dutch to the pool soon. We made it to the Dino Store (neat) and got teh beach toys for our hairy godperson surprise. We drove up to the port today to survey the scene and make sure we all know where we are going tomorrow (DH thinks I am totally nuts!). We are looking forward to seeing some of our friends tonight at Grills and can't wait to see everybody tomorrow at the Port!!!

This laptop has a weird keyboard so sorry for any typos.

Hope everyone's travels are going well and we'll see you all real soon!!

Hi everyone!
We arrived in Orlando yesterday and stayed at the Nickelodeon hotel for the kids. They are down playing in the pool and sand area right now.

The thing I noticed the most about this hotel, is its pretty loud. I woke up once during the night to a baby/toddler crying, and thought it was ours. I made DH look on our son, thinking it was him, but it was from next door, or above or below?? The walls are pretty thin....I was hearing things all night.

I think a little later we will be heading to Rain Forest Cafe, or Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner. We definitely will be making a Walmart stop and maybe a DTD stop tonight before we head out tomorrow.
We will be staying here (Nick) again tonight, and will head down to the Port tomorrow morning. Hope everone is having a great pre-cruise day, and we will see everyone tomorrow. We can't wait! :teeth:

Oh, and Dutchsmommy, I did that same thing last year. I always have to make a precruise survey...you know, to check things out...finalize things in my head. My DH thinks I am crazy too.... :rotfl:

We had a wonderful time at dinner, and look forward to meeting everyone else tomorrow! Have a great night and rest up, you are going to need it with this group!

Am I the last one? I'm still here at home! Our flight doesn't leave until 7:25am. I really need to get to bed, but I'm so worried that we'll oversleep and miss our flight!

I can't wait to see you guys tomorrow~!~!~!~! :cool1: :cool1:

You're not the only one left behind, I'm still at home. We are getting ready to go out the door and meet Stephen and Esther for breakfast. I think I over did it in the packing department. I don't have any room left for anything! This is our first cruise and you can tell we don't know what we are doing!
If you happen to see a luggage tag on a kitchen sink, it's mine!
See you soon! :thumbsup2 :yay:

Hey Everyone!

Well, I went and checked on the ship first thing this morning to make sure that those turkey day cruisers didn't steal it! :lmao: It was a wonderful sight to see the trip and the jumbotron showing the waves and Mickey! Just a few more hours and we will be there!

Safe travel to the ship for everyone! This is going to be a wonderful week!

I guess I'm the only one who logs on, Lampy :-( We see each other often, though. Yesterday was ladies meet at 11 in Cove Cafe. Even though it conflicted with the castaway club meet and Shell cancelled it, 10 women showed up and we chatted for an hour. It was fun - sorry you missed it Shell, we missed YOU!

IT also rained yesterday. I actually 'HAD' a lounger in what would have been a sunny spot by the adult pool, but the gloom, wind and rain chased me indoors.

Tiara Bob very nicely downloaded photos for me to cd. He and Lisa had a nice "mudfight" in the sureal bath, according to reports.

Sarah & Stoney also had a pleasant Spa experience, although they got rained out from the fancy patio suite.

Lynn, Andrew and baby Drew are GREAT table mates - that baby is a huge chow hound and JUST as cute as his photos suggest.

There've been lots of cards and notes flying - I wasn't the only one preparing treats! IT is SO much more fun to travel with friends - THEY are what's making this trip special.

Happy Days, All!

Today was St.Maarten. It was a glorious day and there's no smog here. We took the water taxi over to town and walked about - a whole lot of tacky tee shirt shops interspersed with jewelry stores. I got so tired of saying 'no thank you' to the shills trying to lure us into their shops. If I had it to do over again, I would have taken a taxi tour of the island - the further you get from the pier, the more reasona ble the prices.

I've been allergic to something in our stateroom and had an asthma attack, so I haven't much energy. We were back on the ship by shortly after 11, tee shirts in hand. Bruce went up to the pool, which he pretty much had to himself. It was actually warm! I had a nap and then went too. 3 pm we were down for a nap again, waking up just in time for dinner. Not very exciting, but plenty relaxing.

Well, I wrote a long winded description of the St Martin day and by the time I went to post it the connection had timed out. Some day, i'll reconstruct.

As of right now, this minute, it's a grey morning in port Canaveral and we are waiting to get off the ship. Too bad, so sad, this one is done. (We'll be back!)

High points

The "FairyGodmothers" - YOU ROCK!
Wild Turkeys - you are the most caring friendly funny people and you made this cruise a joy! Didn't matter where we were - there was another wild turkey there to enjoy it with. Every time we were in Palo, there were tables full of us.
Palo - two brunches and one dinner still were not sufficient! AnnieMarie and Marco with the blue eyes - thank you!

to be continued . . .

:sad2: Very sad day for all of us. We HAD to walk the plank!
We got home about 10:20a.m.

Hope everyone has a safe trip home! I will be looking forward to your postings.

I had a great time. Meeting some of the people on this site was awesome. Sorry I missed meeting some. Maybe next time! Yes, there will be a next time.

It was a pleasure talking with Mina and Jeff and the girls. Stacey really enjoyed her days with both Elizabeth and Emily. She was very sad on the way home. We were unable to make the final good byes to all. Laura was VERY sick. She kept her mom and dad up all night throwing up. On the way home Cullen was throwing up and we had to make a few stops on the side of the turnpike. We were thankful they waited until Fri. evening to get sick!

Kathy, Thank you so much for all your help and for being there for us. Steve said to say Hi and a special thanks to you and Greg both. Hope we can get together some time. :thumbsup2
He wishes we could have spent more time getting to know all of the nana-heads.

Bill, Bob, and Jan - I was glad I got to visit for a few short mins. with you all. I truly wish we could have spent more time with everybody.

Lynn - Drew is a doll! He is so cute and a happy little guy. You are doing the right thing by staying home with him and not working. It sure is paying off! I hope he doesn't get sick too!

Well, going to unpack and wash clothes. Then let me see...I think I'll go to the coke machine and get a drink, get some ice cream, and maybe to topsiders for some lunch!

We were in a shop in St. Thomas, and lo and behold, there was Wally, Denise, Wendy, Mike, etc. etc. WE JUST COULDN'T GET AWAY FROM YOU PEOPLE!!! :lovestruc

Will be posting later. Guido had a rough week, so he's not taking his eyes off of us at this point and is out for a walk with Bill. Oh, btw ... 32 degrees and blue skies when we landed, no snow anywhere on the ground.

A final note: Tonya, Bob, Sarah....(and anyone else who may have been affected)... I feel your pain. The stomach thing hit me about 20 minutes after I got home<urp>....pardon. Hooray for me...

Bill, Shell,
I was glad to hear NO snow to delay you.

Sorry to hear so many got sick. We had a girl in front of us at the show the last night that threw up and another one in the terminal on the way out this morning. So far only my bad cold here. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Guido wasnt the only one with a bad week, Minnie had chewed up 2 throw rugs and was working on a third when we arrived home, plus she had knocked a lamp off the end table in the loft and was chewing up the doily it sat on. So glad the light bulb didnt break or she could of got cut. She also brought in a ton of bark from the beds out back, which our friend cleaned up before we got home.

She wont even let us go to the bathroom without her coming in too :lmao:
Greg had to distract her so I could escape to get some fresh foods.

Loved the picture of you guys!!!!

Bob, I will download some of our pictures on a CD soon and send it to you for the Mosiac (spelling???). You can PM me the address to send it too when you get the time.

Greg and Peter wanted to know what was on the menu tonight. PB and J sandwiches or frozen pizzas were the choices. Reality has set in!!!

Pat, I'm sure we will see each other soon since we live close. You have my e-mail address and I have yours. Hope the babies get to feeling better soon.

I found myself strangely drawn to the computer as soon as we arrived home but it took me until now to post. It was GREAT to meet so many of you great folks. I think the day one meet had to set some records at the Promenade Lounge and it was truly great to run into folks everywhere we went.

Some    highlights:

1. First and foremost Elizabeth and Stacey getting to "meet" online before the cruise and then becoming fast friends at the Promenade Lounge Meet and hanging out with each other all week while still each making lots of friends in the lab. Elizabeth asked if she can "meet" someone in advance the next time we cruise too. She was VERY sad to be leaving her new friend and said she wants to move to Florida (yah..me too) and go to Stacey's school. Getting to meet Pat & Steve and Esther and Steve and Cullen and Laura was really a highlight for us as a family.

2. The Sunny Liston tour with so many DIS folks and even running into Cheri & Bill at Sapphire Beach where they had gone on their own. The bus ride back to the ship was great fun too.

3. Having the pleasure of sitting with Pat and Esther at the Martini tasting. Pat was great to have in our tasting session as she scored everyone in the room extra chocolate martini's and cosmos.

4. Seeing DIS folks everywhere we went. Strangely we saw Sarah & Stony at both "tasting" sessions we attended! :-)

5. Spending time chatting with Kelly and Don nearly every day. They were among the folks we saw everywhere and it was really cool to get to know them better.

6. The way cool magnets and t-shirts done by Shell and Tonya, respectively. thanks to both of you for your efforts as it made the trip that much more special.

7. Talking college sports with Dave on a couple of occasions, including some time in the Cove Pool sloshing from one end to the other as the ship was rocking. And Jan wouldn't let me pay up on the drinks I owe her so I have to find another way to pay off my bets!

8. Finally meeting the infamous Shell and Bill, Bob and Lisa, Wendy & Mike, Lauri & Doug, Kathy and Greg, Cheri and Bill, Jan and Dave & Lynn, Andrew and Drew. And truly everyone else -- it was just a great group of people and made the trip even more fun than it would have been otherwise.

9. Getting to attend the debut of Tiara Bob & the Dreamboats. AND getting to see Don belt out "Amy" one of the favorite songs from my youth. I'm way too backward and shy to ever do this so I give major props to those with the cojones to do it.

I plan to post a trip report at some point. If any of you ever make it to the 'burgh I hope you'll let us know so we can show you our town.

Now on the important question. Who else rebooked while onboard? We booked for next year, same week and just hope the ride is a bit smoother! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Need some good sleep tonight. Tomorrow we Christmas-up the house!

Oh and sorry to hear of so many who were sick. Ran into Bob this morning and heard he had a rough time so I'm hoping he and everyone else - especially the little ones - are feeling better. A little girl standing next to us as we waited for our ride threw up all over the sidewalk. So far nothing evil has visited any of us...and I hope to keep it that way.

I have one very sick Mutt here. Bill hit the shower at around 5 and went straight to bed. Ran to the grocery and picked up meds for him. Then REALITY hit ... I have NO idea how to make coffee for the morning, and I can't get it on Deck 9! Let's hope he's better in the a.m. so I don't have to make a coffee run in the cold!

:wave2: Evening all: Well my family room is a huge mess. I have stuff laying all over, I'm cold and sad!!

I had the best time!! I enjoyed metting everyone, what a great group of "new friends" I dont think the cruise would have been as much fun with running into everyone. I think Pat and I kept running into each other the most. Of course Bill and Shell, we could always count on you on deck 10 :) .

Yes reality has kicked in and also kicked us in butt. It is freezing out here. Snow and ice. Yuk

Then at the airport here in Chicago, I called my son and found out that my dad had taken a fall today on the ice and broke his fall with his face. :sad2: He is 91 and broke his nose. Cut up his hand and had to have stitches. Luckley, my sister lives a few miles away, and took him into the ER. He will be ok, but I guess he is pretty sore right now.

Well, have to finish cleaning up this mess down here.

Take care and talk with ya all later.....
Denise

Lauri, hope your flight was on time. Long day sitting at the airport..

It did not least long!!!

The trip was a NIGHTMARE :furious: :furious: :furious: !! Our flight from Orlando was delayed an hour and 20 mins. then we had to wait in the plane for another 1/2 hour when we arrived at Newark airport because we had to be taxied in. Then an old man decided to get up and go to the bathroom when we were being taxied in and the crew stopped the plane till he came out. That was other 1/2 hour :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: . Wait then our luggage took and hour to come. All in all we arrived home at almost 8pm!! Drew was a tropper ;) ;) !! Hey guys, I just thought I would drop a note to you and let you know that I am feeling somewhat better today. We booked a room at the Residence Inn here in Cocoa Beach yesterday. They went out of their way to let us check in at 9:00 a.m. so that I could get to bed. I spent the entire day in bed yesterday, other than bathroom trips. I think the virus has finally run its course.

I know Tonya, and now Mutt, were also hit with the virus. But, I wonder if any other Wild Turkeys were hit. There were a lot of people in the infirmary when I was in there on Friday night hooked up to an IV. Boy, that made for a wonderful last night of the cruise.

Lisa and I will be packing up shortly to head back to Atlanta. Don't know if I am up for solid foods just yet, but I am definitely up for getting home!

Good Morning. Boy I hope everyone gets to feeling better. How is your cold Kathy? Steve and I are doing ok, so far! No bugs here. Don't know how the kids are doing. I will give them a call later.
Mutt - glad to read that you are feeling a bit better today. I'm glad we bumped into each other a couple of times and got to talk to you.

I was rockin' back and forth a bit last night in the shower and this monitor is moving a wee bit this morning. It's not too bad. If I think about it I get a bit of a sick feeling. So if you see any typeO's, it's because my fingers are falling off the keys! I really thought people were kidding me when they told me that would happen.

Jeff - Steve and I are going to book for next year also! Maybe we will bump into each other at the martini tasting! The date of the 11/07 cruise just happens to fall on my b'day again! In fact, for the next 6 years, my b'day will fall on one of the cruise days during that week. Maybe...

Bob - how may pictures do we send you? Some of ours didn't come out very good at all. I think I should have compensated for the back and forth, forth and back movement of my eyeballs! I'm looking forward to seeing some of Stephen's. After all, that new camera should shoot million dollar pictures!
It seems that everytime my dh took a picture of me he used the wide angle lense!
Lynn - hope you are feeling better soon. You have a doctor that is open on Sunday?
Will check in later to see if everyone made it home okay! Did anyone get to go to the Roy O suite and check it out? I forgot about that until last night!

Good Morning All:

Mutt Im with you the whole stomach bug thing was a b***h. We spent the morning arguing with Budget about our rental car, drove to downtown Disney (not fun when sick), went to the airport, ate with Renee and Dave and then went to catch our flight. Got home to 28 degree weather. YUCK. But we are home now, somewhat healthy, went and got the dog (man was he happy to see us) and now were are OFFICALLY unpacked. So we have laundry to do this afternoon.

Bob, Mutt, and who ever else was sick, I am glad you are feeling better and I hope no one else gets it.

I am working on pictures as we speak and will post asap.

Good Morning Nanas!!!!!

We're back... :sad2: We're seeing snow flurries outside and it's a whopping 21 degrees. Get me back to Castaway Cay NOW!!!! Our flight left on time at 8:15 pm and we were home by midnight. Fireman's wife (Lorna) and family were also on our flight.

I just want all of you to know how special this cruise was for Dave and me in that we met such great DISers. We have met many DISers over the past 7 cruisers, but none like you! It was great running into DISers all over the ship and throughout each day. Thanks again for making our cruise so special.

Luckily, we have not come down with the "bug". Sorry to hear how many of you have been sick. Hope Bob is feeling better as he and Lisa are traveling to Georgia.

We are busy doing laundry and sorting through our souvenirs. I made coffee for myself this morning only to find out that I had no milk to put in it. Coffee pot is now off and I'm hoping to go somewhere soon for my caffeine fix. Unfortunately, I can't get to deck 9 this morning.

I received a call at exactly 9 am yesterday from DVC. Dave and I are cruising on the 2007 DVC member cruise -- 10/21/07. We also booked a cruise with a fake date of January 12, 2008. We plan to move that cruise to the fall when the dates become available.

I am getting offline so that I can do more laundry and sort through all our "stuff".

Have a restful day everyone.

Hi everyone, Wow what a trip. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 We had a great time. We enjoyed meeting everyone!!! I am sorry I did not get to hear tiara Bob and the dreamboats. :rockband: My DD was very tired that night and I had to bring her back to the room.

We did so much this trip. I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. The last cruise we spent more time relaxing.

MY youngest daughter caught the bug. She has been throwing up since 6:00 AM She also has a bad cold-poor thing. She is sleeping still. I too have a bad cold plus I feeling like I am rocking back and forth. I am debating about going to urgent care. My ear really hurts. I am sure flying did not help.

We did book again too. A fake date for 2008. We plan on going the last week in November 2008 or 1st week in December 2008. I will wait and see what the prices are like.

More later. I am off to lay down. I feel YUCKY!!!

Good morning Nanas -- coming to you from the cold, snowy arctic of northern Illinois. :sad2:

It was such a great experience to meet all of you!!! We have also re-booked for the same cruise next year, so it sounds like we'll see some of you again soon! :thumbsup2

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: to all of you who were hit by the virus. So far we're all o.k. here. We spoke with a family on the DCL bus en route to MCO who mentioned how many kids got sick in the Club on the last night. I guess Jessalyn knew what she was doing when she opted not to stay up there Friday night. ;) (I take back all the nasty thoughts! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Our travels yesterday were quite smooth. We were waitlisted for an earlier flight to Chicago. Our bags went ahead without us, so there was no wait at the baggage claim once we finally arrived. :)

The only snag was waiting for the parking lot shuttle bus and clearing snow off the truck in the 17 degree weather. YUK!

Time to get to back to laundry. I'll post more later!

JD99,
the thread is called. "we are better than leftovers"
I will bump it up so it will be easier to find. There are a few people there but only 3 of us who post regular , and since I was gone it slipped down the page. Looks like Pat will be there too.

Bob, glad your a little better now too. Peter is still down, but hopefully after some more sleep he will be done with it too.

Afternoon all:

Well my familyroom is 75% cleaned....I still have a few things to unpack and thats it. Needed to take a break.

I actually made an error in my earlier post. I actually ran into Jan alot....but I called her Pat last night....so sorry about that. Jan, I actually had told my family after the galley tour at dinner that night, that they have all the food prepared and cooked ahead of time, then freeze dry it and microwave it for our dinner. The look on my sister and niece's face was priceless...as I'm telling my litte story, Wally is hold the menu up to his face laughing. It was really funny....

Glad to hear everyone is starting to feel better. Wally has a cold going on. It started Friday evening and by saturday morning he wasnt feel that well.

All in all we had a great time, we sooo enjoyed meeting everyone, and seeing everyone in the halls and on deck.

Jan we also booked a cruise for 2008 (fake date) are we are going to bump it out until November after thanksgiving again.....anyone else game for that????

Can't type long - finally starting to feel better. Saturday was a nightmare. Ran into Tonya at Budget so she can tell you how I looked (think  :faint: ). When we finally got to Budget I told Stony there was no way I could last the day at Downtown Disney. I called the Hyatt and booked a day room. What a godsend! We made it there and I immediately got into my jammies and laid down. Much throwing up and assorted other grossness later we had to go to the airport. NOT fun. I managed to stay close to washrooms and the lines at MCO were thankfully short as it was quite late at night. The flight was not booked so I had 3 seats and could lie down. I slept the whole flight, but managed to utilize another of my carefully stowed barf-bags (thanks Fabio!!!!!!!!!!!) on the way down. Made it back home (with horrible stomach cramps) and just dropped into bed. Today has been spent lying around and I do not feel sick anymore, just really weak. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow everything will be back to normal. Stony has been trying to help with the unpacking, but the living room is a disaster.

It was EXCELLENT meeting every one of you!! I think having the Turkeys on the cruise made it one of our best vacations ever. I will post some pics as soon as I can and try and write a mini-remembrance of our adventures.

Gotta run as things are starting to spin a bit.

Sorry to read that so many got sick. I must be honest, glad it didn't hit me! If there is one thing I hate it's giving back my food!
Laura is still weak. Today she finally took her bottle. They couldn't get her to keep anything down. Cullen is doing great this evening. Seems like it was a 24 hr. one for him.

Steve and I would love to join you on the 11/07 repeat! Maybe we will be able to meet and visit with more of you this time. We didn't have any idea what we were doing this trip. We just sort of walked around and bumped into some of you every now and then. We truly aren't snobs! I do know one thing...no shopping on the island! I shall go directly to the beach or take an island tour. I felt that half our day was wasted away just waiting for the tour at St. Thomas.

Kathy - saw where you post on another thread. ( Along with some of the others from here.) I may join you there soon! We are going to call DCL tomorrow!

I have to run and finish decorating the Christmas Tree with the kiddos. I will check back in tomorrow!

Well. all, here is an abbrieviated rundown of our last days ---- Arrived at the MCO airport at 9:30am and flew out at4:50pm so we had a lot of "hang out" time. "Mickey" (his doll) spoke to Patrick vis a vis Mommy for about 4 hours and my voice is hoarse. However many kids around us were engrossed, so I guess I do a pretty good "Mickey" voice. :lmao:

Sewing costumes till my hands are raw...they HAVE to be done by Tues. Will they? Geez. I dunno.

Patrick had to rush to rehearsal for Nutcracker today...you would think he'd be exhausted but he's dancing for us now as I type.

I'm freakin' tired. But still love you all.\

Back to sewing....

Hello everyone. We had a great cruise, but I wasn't very sociable. I'm naturally pretty shy to go up to people and start talking. But the excitement of the cruise and just feeling in awe of everything, left me in my own little world. Our family had an splendid time and we rebooked for April 2008. We aren't sure if we will change dates when the new ones come out or not. We drove straight to the Magic Kingdom when we got off Saturday. I had never been there when it was so crowded before. We must be a little spoiled because 40 minute waits for the rides seemed crazy. We did do a lot of things we wanted too, and then went shopping at Downtown Disney. We were so tired that we ended up forgetting to get most of the stuff we wanted.

I just loved this cruise so much even though I got a little sea sick the first night and hubby and 1 daughter got it on Wednesday night. Fortunately we all seemed to miss the bug. We drove for 12 hours today to return home. Next time we'll break it up into 2 days.

So now I'm working through my 1000+ pictures and deleting the bad ones. I still have 6 disposible cameras to develop too. I will get started on scrapbooking this trip tomorrow. And doing a lot of laundry.

I have a Dr. appt then off to wal mart for a few presents, then home to wrap them. Hopefully we can get the house decorated tonight or tomarrow night. We want Peter to feel like helping too. we always do decorating as a family.

Well, we are all home .... it's 8:30am Monday.
Both DS and DD are very sad !
Stopped at NASA to see the space shuttle on the launch pad and got some great
video of that! Wish I was down there on Thursday to see it take off, but maybe
some other day. Lost our camera in the car rental, we called them up about 30 minutes ( we where still in the airport )
after getting out of the car and they said that they couldn't find it!
When I download the video to my computer to edit it into the final cut, I will have to
extract some of the pictures from the video so my DW will be able to fill her picture albums. I have about 7 hours of video to edit, I'm hoping to get about 2 or 3 music videos from all this footage.

Good morning everyone!

Just checking in to say "Hi" before I have to get to work! Lots of stuff going on last week at work so time to get busy!

Kathy, I finally decided to add a ticker and extra stuff to my "signature" too. Just go to "User CP" and "Edit Signature." Then type in whatever you want, preview, and save. If you want a ticker, just go to a ticker site, follow the instructions, then "copy & paste" the BB code to your signature area. The hardest part was picking the "timeline" and "marker!!"

Glad to hear most of you are feeling better. What an awful way to end such a great week!

Wendy, hope you guys re-book for 11/2007 so you and I can actually have time to drink together -- I mean talk together!!!! :rotfl2:

I'm finally going to submit this reply (I started about an hour ago, but had to sit in the car with DD while she waited for the school bus -- below 0 wind chills and the bus was running 40 minutes behind!). . .

REALLY Home, finally.

{{{{Lynn }}}} So sorry to hear about your grandmother, Dear. Holding your little family close in my heart.

We rebooked on board, but for a week later, 2007 - much as I LOVE you 'turkeys', I SO did NOT love that eastern itinerary. You guys "MADE" the cruise for us - it was so nice to see a smiling familiar face everywhere we turned.

Thanks to Sarah and her minions delivery service, the FairyGodmother gig was a huge success. All the godmothers came through with great stuff, and the little girls were just 'flying' with happiness by the last night. There was one old lady watching them from deck 4 with tears in her eyes, I can tell you from personal knowledge.

I'm breathing better but still coughing and see doc this afternoon. REALLY GLAD to avoid the tummy troubles that plagued some of you, though. Still, it did seem like I spent an awful lot of this vacation in an oxygen deprived stupor. . .

Hi everyone,
One of the men and I am not sure which one talked to my DH in the terminal. He was commenting on the numbers. One of you were a 2 and we had seven. If anyone remembers this or knows who it might have been let me know. Also when I was in line for the Kids club registration a couple of you were in front of us. My daughter was the one who was giving me a hard time. She was the one who was pinching me and calling me all kinds of names. Our room was near Kelly and Jon so if you are here A big Hello to you from PA.

I had to post this picture of my girls. This was on formal night when we thought that we'd get the girls in front of the Christmas tree for our Christmas cards. Well Emily fell asleep in the show by 6:30 and thus that plan was thrwarted. I took this in case it was all I could get.

http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k7/jeffd99/sleeping.jpg

The funny thing is that we dressed them up the next afternoon to try again and Emily had a fit. Worse than I've ever seen before. She just flat out refused to stand in front of the tree with her sister... or anywhere for that matter. I have about 100 beautiful pics of Elizabeth in various poses but Emily is either not in the pic or having a fit like this one. (Note Elizabeth's shoes - we had planned to shoot a close up so I told her crocs were fine...a great look, I think!)

http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k7/jeffd99/fit.jpg

She was a BEAR..but as soon as we returned to the room and changed her she was sweet as pie again. Obviously another control freak in our family..just what we need.

So I'm thinking of using one of these shots just for fun anyway. :lmao: .but Mina won't let me.

Hi everyone,

I'm so bummed I didn't get to meet everyone! I was only able to meet a handful of you guys...and I was extremely bummed that I missed the official meet and greet (once we went to the room to put Madison to nap, we all fell asleep with her and didn't wake up until it was almost time for the drill!!!)...but it seems like you all had a great time!

It was great to meet some of you though, you guys are a fun bunch and so sweet! I wish I had taken more photos!

Shell:: Thank you for setting it all up and I hope the gift thing was ok, it wasn't much to choose from of NYC, but I sent Jay to pick up the stuff, so blame him if they were crummy! ;) Sorry I missed the gift swap and the meet! Thanks for the magnet and it was so much fun meeting you guys.

Kathy:: You are super sweet you know that? Thank you for the well wishes and the card...I wish we had the chance to say bye, but we'll definitely keep in touch, thank you for letting me know about the meet in the first place! I hope you're feeling better! :grouphug:

Lynn:: I'm so bummed we didn't get to meet!!! I was so hoping to meet you guys and Drew! I think Drew and Madison would have had a blast together. We only took her to the pool a couple of times, she had alot of fun, until she slipped and bumped her nose on the side of Mickey's ear, :guilty: , but other than that she loved the water! Maybe sometime in the future we can meet up, we go visit Jay's family often and we gotta pass your town to get upstate, maybe we can meet up then and the kids can play! :thumbsup2 Oh, and I'm soooo sorry to hear about your grandmother! Big hugs to you babe. :grouphug:

YippySkippy:: Patrick is a freakin' doll...omg...talk about handsome? Pfftt...he's gonna have them chasing after him! I wish Patrick all the success in his tap dance talent!!! Can't wait to hear more about it! It was great to have met you guys, email me the pics. if you get a chance.

Jan and Cheri, it was sooo nice to have met you, you guys are so sweet! It was nice to chat in person for a change! And everyone else I forgot, please forgive me, I'm still in vacation mode and my brain is in a fog. :dance3:

I'm embarassed to say that on the first night I was sooo sea sick I had to leave dinner early and go to bed...I was miserable. Jay kept saying I was an amatuer! Hmph! But we did have a great time on the cruise, of course it was 'too short'...but it was good to be home too. While on the cruise we ended up joining DVC, so we're super excited about that...hopefully, it'll give us more incentive to vacation more often!

Well, I have tons of catching up to do, just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone and I hope we get to do this again one day...wouldn't it be nice? A REUNION CRUISE ANYONE?! hee hee...

Hello All!!

As before the cruise, you all just can't stop chatting. 3 pages since yesterday LOL.

Lauri - Hope you got the costumes done. Even if you didn't I imagine you can 'improv' something from around the house. It was great talking to you by the big-people pool and really neat hearing about all of your adventures. Did you guys buy your formal night pic - it was frickin AWESOME!!!!!!!!! You need to scan it onto the thread for sure. :rotfl:

Question for the group - Can you guess what Lauri's DH Doug does for a living??

Bob - I posted on your sicky thread on the main page - over 3000 views! It is definately a hot topic. I would not wish that darn sickness on anyone, yuck! And I LOVE the group shot - great. It is evident how loving and joined at the hip Stony and I are isnt it LOL

Queenie - nice to meet you in Shutters. I feel like a dork for not introducing myself to your husband - sometimes I am a bit awkward (no comments from the banana-gallery please!).

Hilarious pic of Kathy and Greg LOL - but what a perfect way to spend an afternoon n'est pas? It sure beats working!

Lynn - Drew is SUCH a cutie!! I love that one in the stoller where is looks like he is saying 'you know you waaant it'

The more I hear about those re-booking, the more my mind goes hhhmmmmm....but then I look at my mastercard and shake my head. Oh well, maybe once Christmas is over we can re-evaluate things. I find DH is a little more apt to agree to a trip in the dead of winter anyway LOL.

Will try and post more later!

Josh - Can't believe I didn't even get a chance to say Hi! Hope you enjoyed yourself.

Kathy : for "whipping" us into shape and for the nice Christmas card. :yay:

Linda : for the mini nana signs, the pig "stuff," and for coming up with the crazy tiara idea. :cheer2:

Queenie - I was a bit seasick on the first night as well! (The first time in five cruises! :furious: ) Your daughter is such a doll!!!! :lovestruc Congrats on DVC! Trey & Tonya were giving my Bill a great sales pitch for it at dinner one night. Maybe he'll take the bait!!! :dance3:

Lauri - How are those costumes comin'??? Or were you showing us that they're ALL done way ahead of time -- no procrastinating! :rotfl:

Jan - How did everything go for you guys once you arrived at the airport? What a pain the whole experience must be. It's really sad that someone didn't turn the stuff in. :sad2: Let us know how the pork chops come out -- I'm going to try it tomorrow!

Lucinda - You should post a picture of you and your family -- I'm sure we saw you, but didn't realize it was you! :wave2:

Lynn - Hang in there! I went through the same thing about 10 years ago (my mom's mom passed away after a relatively short bout with cancer after never being sick her whole life) so I kinda, sorta know how you feel. :grouphug:

Hope everyone is finally feeling better by now.

Talk to you later!

Hi everyone - I found myself wondering who was sleeping in MY bed!

Lynn - First off - I'm truly very sorry for your loss. It is very hard when one of your family members passes. Keep in mind that the days after the funeral will be the hardest for your mom. You are so busy before hand making the arrangements, getting food from others, people calling etc...It's after the final good-byes and things tend to get quiet around you that you feel the most pain. The pain really sunk in two days after my daddy's funeral. It was the love of my children that got me through some of the tough days.
My thoughts are with you Lynn.
Laura is finally feeling better. She is moving around a lot more now. Cullen is great! In fact, he and Stephen are on their way to the Magic Kingdom. Stacey was sent home from school yesterday! She was throwing up! Yuck. I'm glad I don't have the kids until tomorrow! ;)

Great pictures Jeff! Steve and I were watching you as you tried to take that picture of Elizabeth and Emily! We were upstairs. Steve made a comment about memories. Stephen posing and waiting for his sister to get up off the floor! Attributed to strong will. Even to this day. "I am my own person"

Shell - tried the pork chops. They were good, only mine were a bit dry. Maybe I over slow cooked them :confused3 I used the sugar free apple pie filling and it was just fine. So for those who were afraid of it being too sweet, try the sugar free.

Cheri, GF I am soooo sad :smooth: we did not get a chance to drink, ummm chat on this cruise, the three headed monster would have been so much fun. But I did enjoy our quick chat at Rockin D that night.

Tonya and Trey, it was such great fun hanging out with you guys each night and in our long picture line.

Shell and Bill, no words are enough, Mike enjoyed having his other wife every where he went on the ship.

Sarah, it was so much fun meeting yuou guys, I felt like I ran into you everywhere :thumbsup2

Were you in stealth mode???? Hopefully you'll be able to book one of the upcoming Nana Head cruises!

Good morning!

I love  the pictures you guys have been posting! I'll try to have DH post some once he's done transferring things from camera to computer.

I didn't mention this earlier: A BIG THANKS goes out to:
Tonya: for taking care of the AWESOME shirts! It was really cool to see the huge green group when we entered the terminal! :cool1:

Shell & Bill : for the great magnetic door signs! (Not that anyone besides the crew saw ours! :lmao: :lmao: )

Shell : for compiling the great list/pictures of all the Nana Heads so we could recognize everyone. :teeth:

Athene : for starting the whole thread in the first place!!

Kathy : for "whipping" us into shape and for the nice Christmas card. :yay:

Linda : for the mini nana signs, the pig "stuff," and for coming up with the crazy tiara idea. :cheer2:

Everyone Else : for being such a wonderful, fun group of people to meet and get to know throughout the week!! :grouphug: It really made the cruise more enjoyable! :thumbsup2 (Hopefully I didn't miss anyone. . .)

I TOTALLY agree with all the thanks posted above. I feel like a right heel for not thanking all those mentioned above in person. I know I got some, but not all!

Cheri - same thing happened to my mom - pancreatic cancer 2 months diagnosis til she was gone. 10 years ago this past July. That's why I tell everybody to hug their mom every day! :grouphug:

don't know why mine was a bit dry...could it be because you said set on med. and my crock pot is only high or low? OR...it might be I browned them a little bit too long! They weren't so dry that you couldn't eat them, they had a wonderful taste. I'm just not a cook! I can order off a menu much better than I can cook.
But ladies, try them...they are good.

Oh, and thanks for the buckeyes! Everyone enjoys them.

Sheri: Dave had no problem getting through customs, getting a boarding pass at Air Tran, or getting through security at the airport. The porter chose the "nicest guy" at port so we had no problem. We expected a slow and agonizing process, but we had no problem. Dave got his license renewed yesterday.

Sheri: Dave just called to say that the pork chops smell great! Thanks Shell!

Sarah: I know Doug's occupation, so I will not say what it is. We had a long discussion one evening about it.

Kathy: Thanks for the Christmas card.

Shell and Bill: Thanks for the door sign -- it's on our refrigerator. And, thanks for the list/pics of us DISers.

Linda: Thanks for the green Nana sign and the peppermint pigs.

Tonya: Thanks for all the work you did regarding the shirts. We gave our shirts to Anne Marie in Palo. I still have an extra one for the memories.

All who got sick on/after our cruise: Hope everyone is feeling better.

Gotta get back to work!

He is a singer in a local band????? Or a male stripper.

Dont laugh, I found out Jan was a can can dancer in her younger days!! We saw her kicking up those legs in the Promenade lounge one night and I have a picture to prove it, but its kinda dark to post. She can still kick up high, just ask her.

Time to walk Minnie.

Hi everyone My computer has been down for 2 days. Wow I had a lot of catching up to do!!

Madison is finally better. She missed school yesterday. I am fighting a sinus infection. I am feeling a bit better today.

Lynn here is a :grouphug: I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. I lost my grandma about a year ago. I do miss her.

Lauri How was Patricks meeting with the Disney dancers??

Bob great picture of the group. I am glad you are feeling better.

Jeff I like the pictures of the girls. I could see that happening with my girls. My youngest was so tired out every night. I had a hard time getting her through the show.

We have rebooked for 08. I am hoping to do the same week as this year. So I am assuming all of you on the 07 cruise will book for 08.

Queenie Sorry I did not get to meet you. Your pictures are great!!

Thanks again to Shell for organizing the list and for Tonya getting the Tshirts and to Bob for putting together the photo mosaic. I will get some photos to you soon.

Sara Sorry you were sick  on your travel day. That happened to me once and I was stuck in the airport all day long. I am glad you were able to get a room for the day.

Kathy Love the picture of you and DH!!

Again we are so glad we got to meet so many of you. Hope to see you all again in 08!!

Hey Everyone...can I just say...."REALITY SU**S"....just kidding. We are right back into the swing of things here in New Jersey. The temperature is freezing and Don is NOT happy about that (he REALLY would like to live in the South where the temps are generally comfortable most of the time). I on the other hand actually like the change of seasons..however, I would much rather be back in St. Maarten right now :sunny: I feel very lucky to be a stay at home Mom...but man are things crazy again..."running here and there all around the square..."

While I have a quick minute I just wanted to let you all know how much we enjoyed meeting everyone. It was great to always be running into someone you knew....except we could never seem to hook up with Jeff and Mina or Lauri and Doug :lmao:

I wish we had been able to spend more time getting to know everyone better, but the week ended much too quickly :(

TB and the DB's was an absolute blast and something which will linger on in our memories for years to come......

The tequila tasting with Lauri, Doug and Mike...one phrase.."if it evaporates before you shut your mouth...you're in trouble! I picked up a lime at the store last night...need I say more.

Pub Night was a great time....I wish we all had been feeling up to being there. It was a great way to end the cruise.

Jan....I've decided to change my name to "Michelle" I kind of like the sound of it...just kidding ;)

Shell and Bill....my Daughter is still talking about your dog! It was great meeting you guys - thanks for the door magnets...we LOVE it...it has a home on our fridge.

Lynn....Drew is absolutely adorable! I was glad we ran into each other a few times and had a chance to talk.

Linda - thank you for giving us the opportunity to be a Fairygodmother. The experience is something that has touched my heart forever. I will cherish my pin always

Kathy - sorry you caught a nasty cold. I mentioned to Don on Friday night that I hadn't seen you and I was wondering if you guys were ok. Don came down with a cold on Thursday but fought hard to not let it sideline him. He did have to take a nap Thurs. afternoon though and he's still trying to get over it.

Lauri - I'm so glad John and Patrick hit it off so well. What a sweety he is. We are really looking forward to seeing you guys in New York!

Jeff - thanks for your kind words for Don's solo karoake debut. He appreciated it. It was kind of funny how often we ran into each other, but we really enjoyed talking with you guys.

There are so many other things I'm forgetting right now. I will right them down as they come to me and post later.

See ya later-

Evening all:

Well I am supposed to be baking a cake for work tomorrow.....aint happing..I have a head cold and am not up to it. Wally started getting sick with a cold on friday...I felt fine until yesterday evening...now I have it. I will stop at the store tomorrow and just buy a cake.

I am sooo enjoying everyone's pictures. I just cant belive that a week ago, we were in nice warm tropical weather....now we are back into reality and boy does it s---k......I hate the cold and snow and ice. Then on top of everything, the fire alarm went off at work today, so outside we all marched for about 15-20 minutes. only to find out the alarm system is acting up and so he whole system had to be shut down.

Anyway, I am just going to chill for a little while and then go to bed early.
