Hello,
I am getting so excited. We are leaving in 9 days and I have so much to do. Tomorrow my DD 6 goes to the neurologist and then tomorrow afternoon our dog has to get a shot. Then Friday I have parent teacher conferences in the afternoon. We are also going grocery shopping Friday morning. I also have to get my hair cut. My 2 DD's also need to get their hair cut too. I am not sure when I will fit everything in.

Any advice.

I also need to go to Target and pick up a few things before we leave next Friday morning.

Hope you have a great day

:woohoo: Hi everyone!
THANKS for the super welcome, you guys are too nice...and FUNNY! :rotfl2:

I can't wait to meet all of you!

Kathy:: You crack me up, I know now to not drink and read at the same time, I don't want sode flying out my nose. :teeth:

Shell:: Thanks for the info, I'll send everything over to ya!

DH to join in Karaoke? I think he'd rather have a root canal than stand in front of everyone and perform...but maybe with a couple of those yummy drinks, he'll oblige!

Ladies night out? Since I'm a first time mommy, I don't remember what Ladies night out means...does this mean, I have to stay up past 11PM? B/c I might not make it till then, we'll have to see how yummy those drinks really are.

Ok, I'm gonna start packing some stuff, since the little princess is napping. Have a great day everyone! Thanks again for the welcome, you guys are too sweet! :grouphug:

Probably not, I thought about it. But my mom is cruising with us, so we're lucky to have an in-house babysitter! :thumbsup2

Queenie,
Are you using Flounder's Nursery for your little Princess princess: princess: ??

Lynn - Our little princess (well one of them) Miss Emily - will be in flounders. She really liked it on our August cruise despite normally having a lot of separation anxiety. I can tell you that the folks who work there are great. We especially loved Janet who I believe was a manager of the nursery (from South Africa I believe, she has a great accent and sounds just like Mary Poppins) and a counselor named Emily. Hoping both are back for this cruise.

Lynn - when you were out and about doing one of your shopping tours, did you happen to pass by the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys that are suppose to be out? I can't find them anywhere! I would like to get Cullen the Clubhouse for Christmas.
How about any of you others?

Woo - I have to tell you that was the funniest picture I had seen in a while! I bet you and your little mutt have the best time. I actually laughed until tears came down!

Linda - I told you my lack of scrapbooking knowledge so don't expect too much out of me. I can't even complete a door sign.
Who is Shirley and what kind of gift baskets does she do? Will she fill it with items you bring her?

What is planned for this ladies meet? Is it just to talk and get to know each other?
Pat

Pat,
Shirley is the owner of The Perfect Gift. It is a shop at cocoa beach and she makes gift baskets for people and puts them in the staterooms so they are there when you get to your room. :goodvibes
She does an awesome job at a reasonable price. Someone got us one for our last trip and it was fantastic!! :thumbsup2
She has wonderful ideas and is so helpful about things. She is very creative and it shows in her baskets.

Hey everyone, if we keep this up we will have 100 posts in 24 hours just like the past 2 days. That has to be some kinda record for posting!!!

Big :grouphug: :grouphug: for everyone who has sick relatives or are sick themselves.

I am getting super stressed :scared1: Those darn pillowcases are giving me indigestion!!!!!!! It seemed like such an easy thing. Oh well, I found some really neat Mickey font today so that will do for the names and then I think it will just be 'plain' clipart and something like 'Disney Magic 2006' in WDW script. I think I could probably do it with a bit of effort if I every had a second. I have been trying to sneak a few attempts at work but I really do need to concentrate. Mon and Wed nights are riding for me and The other nights I am with Dutch. This Friday I have to go to a funeral/visitation for a friend's dad about 1 1/2 hr drive away and Saturday I am riding again. So....not too much time. I may have to tell DH that I need some hours on Sunday and get him to take DS out of the house or something. I think our clothes are pretty much together and I hope to pack everything this weekend (soemtime). I am still thinking about calling Shirley for a basket for DS - so will likely do that tomorrow. I am going to leave it up to her to make it up.

Steve - don't forget the pinset you so kindly got for Dutch. I am really looking forward to him getting into the pin trading. I think he will really like it.

I am paranoid I will forget something, especially with what seems like SO much to bring - formal, semi, matchy-poo, 'nice' for dinner, casual, bathing suits, masks and snorkels, pirate (which I STILL have not heard from my ebay lady which is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!! :furious: ) outfits. The list goes on............

Anyway - it is all for a good cause and once I get my first banana-mama I will be a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just hoping DH doesn't start to feel neglected as I hang with my DIS friends.

I am going to print off the list from Shell (THANKS!!!!!!!!!) so he can 'meet' everybody.

Anyway - gotta go. TTFNN (TaTa For Now Nanas :teeth: )

Call her first thing in the morning, grovel a bit, and then she'll tell you it's no problem -- it's never too late! (at least that's what she told me Monday!!!)

I think as long as you give her a bit of direction without being too picky, it'll all be fine.

I know if it was someone calling me at the last minute for an insurance need, I'd bend over backward for that person. I think Shirley seems MUCH nicer than me so you shouldn't have any problems!!!! :thumbsup2

After I'd spoken with her, I felt like a huge weight was off my shoulders because I knew DD would be excited when she saw something for her in our cabin!

Good luck!

I was worried that I might be coming down with a cold (thanks to our office guy), so I went out today and bought 2 packs of Cold-eeze -- zinc lozenges. Placebo or not, I'm feeling better already! :cool1:

I also bought some of the melt-on-your-tongue strips for DD in stuffy nose and decongestant/cough varieties. I'm assuming that my stocking up on such items is what made them scan my drivers license at Target. :confused3 I must have looked like a shady character! :rotfl:

Jan:: Thanks for the correction on Ladies Outing...

Can I ask, what is the tiara thing? Will all the girls have tiaras? b/c I have a little tiara for my little princess (from prior photos), but none for me... :confused3

I'm so pooped today...but I have to get my butt in gear to pack. It's not easy packing for me, I'm a MAJOR pack rat. I have that same fear, like I'm going to forget something...not for me, but for Madison (DD) and I won't be able to buy it on the ship...I'm going to pack and then repack and probably repack again just to be sure I have everything...sigh, I know, I'm crazy.

Queenie, I can so relate to your packing. I packed this weekend and am now ready to start over because i'm sure i've forgotten something!

If you'd like a tiara, try www.glitterdiva.com or www.tiaratown.com. I got mine from glitterdiva and it came quickly. Some of us just thought it would be fun - and much more elegant than 'dancing bananas'.

Speaking of which . . . Woo , I think you're responsible for this one. . . What is that macarena dancing banana doing with his handgesture?

Sarah, I'm curious ... you said a while back that your hair is nothing like it is in the photo we have of you. Can you give us a hint of what it looks like now?

Thank goodness! Does this mean that DWtS is over and we don't have to hear about it anymore? :thumbsup2
"Over? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H*** no!" (movie, anyone?). Bob, we still have the DWTS LIVE tour, coming to a city near you soon! :cool1:

Speaking of which . . . Woo , I think you're responsible for this one. . . What is that macarena dancing banana doing with his handgesture?

Mostly sunny, high 77, low 60. So, it should be a wonderful day to start a cruise.

Bob: Remember John Candy and Steve Martin in the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles???!!! :rotfl:

Jan
:happytv: :happytv: That is one of the classics in our house!

A couple of our favorite scenes include -- Owen (the guy who's supposed to take them to the train station) and his wife. "Train don't run outta Wichita, unless yer a hog or a cattle. . ."

Anther great scene is the whole car wreck part --
"You're going the wrong way! You're going to kill someone!"
"How do they know where we're going? They must be drunk. . .!"
Then after the brush with the semis -- "This isn't so bad, it'll buff right out."

My dad has used that phrase numerous times!!! :rotfl:

And a bit of trivia:

As they're getting close to Chicago in the back of the refrigerated truck, they show the historic court house in Woodstock -- a block from our office! :cool1: Typical of any John Hughes movie!

Love that movie!

Just checking in from work...haven't read any posts yet...but wanted to share...
Is it possible to be completely shocked and overwelmed, happy and disappointed at the same time?
Well...I just found out yesterday (on my birthday, no less) that I am two months pregnant. No, it wasn't planned. Dh was supposed to be shooting blanks following 8 months of chemo last year...and in February his sperm count was 0..nada...zilch. So no vasectomy for him...he was so relieved...
I only realized yesterday, that I was really late (see what cruise distraction can do to a person) anyway testing and ultrasound to follow...so no guarantees yet...and packing was shoved to the side yesterday to break the news to my husband...who is completely proud of his resilient virility!
And I am disappointed that I will be pregnant for the cruise...been planning for two years...and now I have morning sickness and no beers for me. :o

Anyway...just had to share with someone...off to a meeting...

Here is a :grouphug: and some pixiedust: for all of you under the weather. I think we are trying to fight something too, but I am taking extra vitamin C. My friend told me about something called airborne. You are suppose to take it when you feel a cold starting or when you are going into a crowd. I think we will take it before we get on the airplane-I will try anything to keep from getting sick

Its a gloomy day here today. I don't think we are going to see the sun until FLorida.

Lots to do today. I am getting ready for a Ladies night out that I am in charge of at my kids school. I am renting a table and selling Mary Kay. So last night we decide to go online to fill out our documents. I just kept putting it off. We just finished the first one and our computer shuts off. We finally got back on to do the second and after finishing we get a message that said there is a problem. Since last night we've been trying to sign back on. We keep getting alternating messeges. Either "we can't find this number" or "our reservation system is down." If anyone has a free minute can they sign on and see if it works for them or if it's just our number it doesn't like?
I know we can just fill out the papers from out package, but I was hoping to get it done today.

Love the quotes from Planes, Trains & Automobiles. That is one of my all time favorites.

With the weather being cold, dreary and rainy in mid-Michigan, I thought I'd print a few phrases from a Buffett song to get us through the day.

Nibblin' on sponge cake, watchin' the sun bake;
All of those tourists covered with oil....

I blew out my flip flop,
Stepped on a pop top.
Cut my heel had to cruise on back home,
But there's booze in the blender (Yeah :woohoo: )...

Hey Carrie - we had problems too. I called DCL and they admitted some issues. The lady there was able to update my file with our IDs (but it still doesn't show up online). I think you can just print off the forms, sign them and bring them to the port.

That is a great song, but I have to admit that one of my favorit lines from any of his songs is from the song Boat Drinks. It is a line that only Buffett could get away with singing:

Our flight out is on Sunday evening...we had to maximize our time in FL! :teeth: Will you guys be staying later?

Well the little one is napping...I'm so boggled with everything, I have no idea where to begin? I've washed all her clothes that I want to pack, except they're just sitting in the basket, folded, looking at me...ugh, won't they fly into the luggage in a single profile line and sit neatly in there, check themselves off the to do/to bring list until I zip up the luggage? :wizard:

Still in a fog...but trying to get through work today because tomorrow I have my last day off before we leave...

I am sending my boxes tomorrow...I feel weird that I have three boxes. Not small ones either...and I am just shipping crap...pirate costumes, princess costumes, sand toys, snorkel stuff...and then other misc toys, activities for the kids to do on the ship (room and dinner.) Is that a lot? Has anyone else shipped stuff? Is anyone else shipping a potty seat? We are in the middle of potty training...and I would hate to have her regress because of unfamiliarity...
Fortunately though, we will only have three suitcases and one carry-on...then the girls will each have a small backpack.

I checked out what they have there -- we chould try McCoy's Bar & Grill -- they have food & drinks and it looks like it's more casual than Hemisphere -- the main restaurant. There is also a lobby lounge that serves appetizers and shows sporting events. Maybe that's the place to go if everyone will have eaten prior to meeting.

I'll PM you with our cell #'s so we can get in touch on Friday when we know how the kids handled the flights!

Also -- I think I read waaaaay back in the summer that Hyatt gives a voucher for free breakfast at their restaurant. I read it on a DIS thread. I see no mention of this on the Hyatt website. :confused3 It would be nice to not have to pay extra for breakfast!

Shell, The List is Awesome!! It will be very handy onboard!

Kathy, DH didn't get the memo about staying healthy. He has a lingering cough.. (just got antibiotics today) he found out he has a tear in his shoulder and arthritis, and went to the doctors again today because he bent over saturday to get something out of a drawer, and something popped... He has been walking crooked ever since. (I finally MADE him call his doctor yesterday)

you would think a 32 is a little young to fall apart... I blame all the years of pop warner football when he was a kid.

Welcome Queenie, I'm glad you found us before the trip, so you can be one of the crazy wild turkeys or dancing  's. instead of wondering what in the world we were all on about! ;)

5 more days until we leave!!!

BTW, are all the ladies REALLY wearing their tiaras to formal dinner? I was just browsing on the site and saw some cute ones...but I was looking at small ones that won't point me out! :guilty: I'm shy remember?

Hi Carrie,

We were having that problem too. I called DCL and they were able to update my info in their system (although it doesn't show online). I think if you just print out the pages and sign them you should be OK.

I've been tearing up the house, certain that I had lost them for good.

Where were they, you ask? Why in the file cabinet under "Passports"

I think I need a vacation. :rolleyes1

Carrie, I had a problem filling out our documents online to. It actually said there was an error, then the next night I checked and all the information was there. I was then able to finish up the other stuff I had to do.

Sorry about that Lauri. Congratulations to the other Lauire. :woohoo: should be interesting on the cruise Lauri, Laurie and Lorna.

Kelly I did the same thing you did once. Imagine being married to a fireman :scared1: Thankfully it was no big deal and I did not have to call 911. My DH has even done some silly things like that and he is the fireman!!!

We love Plane Trains and Automobiles too! That is a classic. I am sure it will be on TV a lot over the next month. That and Home Alone are Holiday classics along witht the Christmas Story.

Kathy - hope you are feeling better!!

Kelly - hey you married a fireman cause their CUTE - what's a few more in your kitchen??? Maybe next time you want to 'accidentally' set a small fire in the bedroom?? :teeth: Just kidding.

Looks like I am caving to peer pressure and will have to try and source out a tiara this weekend  They just aren't as prevelant in Canada for some reason. Is this a USA/cheerleader/pep squad/homecoming queen/sorority deally or what???

Cheri - congrats on the 'chief lush' title :drinking1 You go girl. :thumbsup2
I should be able to help you out in that department. DH just rolls his  when I get going LOL.

I (finally) ordered a basket for DS from Shirley. The girl I spoke to on the phone (maybe Nona?) was great. And a good saleswoman. By the time I was done we had 3 bottles of Merlot, 12 Corona and assorted snacks coming to the room in addition to DS's basket :rotfl: Oh well, beats me having to carry it on. It was really quite reasonably priced you know. I got gift baskets for my sisters last year for Christmas (yes...how personal...I know :rolleyes1 ) and they were at least $50 each. ANything less was pretty chinsy looking. This total with DS's big basket, booze, snacks and delivery is under $80 which I thought was pretty OK.

I also mapquested from the hotel to Grills for our Friday night mini-meet (2 min drive according to mapquest - sweet!) and tried to think of everything I am forgetting. I still have to call for a airport taxi to pick us up on Thursday morning (we're leaving the car at the house for my sister to use while she dog and house sits for us) and I have to sew a button on my shawl/shrug thingy. Work is still crazy, but at least I am employed now LOL. Tomorrow is payday (thank god) so I'll have to slap some $$ onto the credit card to cover the assorted charges I am sure to accumulate over the next little while.

Well, DS has been suspiciously quiet downstairs for a while now so I better check up on him. I'll try and post back later :wave2:

Well, I still haven't been able to get online to do my paperwork. I will keep trying and fill it out by hand in case I never get through. I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble with it. I was afraid I accidentally canceled somehow.

We just decided to cancel our reservations in Jacksonville and drive the whole way to Cape Canaveral on Friday. Then we can sleep in a while on Saturday. So I just made reservations at the Radisson. I think I paid way too much so don't tell me your great deals please. Has anyone left their cars there before during the cruise? Is the shuttle to and from pretty quick? We want to get in the car fast and head to the Magic Kingdom. We will probably be getting to the hotel pretty late, but maybe I'll see some of you in the morning.

Lynn - What a great picture of Drew! He finally showed his smile! He is so cute! I can't wait to meet him. Sorry to hear about your grandmother.
Thank you for saying you'd check into the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys. I found them on the net. Only they are sold out! I put my name on a list to be advised when they get some in stock. Good Luck to me! I did get Cullen the clubhouse. (they had that in stock) But there is a problem. You have to have the animated figures. They interact with one another. It's the figures that you can't get! (There is a spot in the clubhouse that you place the figure on so they can talk, dance and sing) So, I have a clubhouse with no figures! I'm going to hope for the best. I can always return the clubhouse if I can't get the figures.

Kathy - I'm sorry to read you're not feeling well. Hope you're better tomorrow. pixiedust:

Our weather is going to be in the 40's tomorrow a.m. guys! Very windy and rain today.

Queenie - There are a few of us who are not wearing tiara's. Welcome to my shy club! Mine is for real. I hate calling attention to myself by adding a visual aid! My mouth does it enough for me.

Shell - What a great job on the list! Only thing is, I wish you made my picture a bit younger and thinner! And next time take can you take that puffy look away from my eyes? I think I was over medicated that day!

Wow, this thread moves fast! It's tough for me to keep up, everytime I check in, I gotta catch up! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear some of you are feeling crummy... :wizard: hope you feeling better real soon! :grouphug:

Kathy:: Oh, I hope you feel better and 110% tomorrow! :grouphug:

Kelly:: :grouphug: Sorry to hear about the fire!

Lynn:: Sounds good, once we meet up on the ship, we'll figure out a time...and we'll see who else has little munchkins that would like to join us! :woohoo:

Linda:: Safe trip, see you real soon!!! :goodvibes

Pat and Carrie:: I'm a total wallflower...and I don't like to draw attention to myself either! HOWEVER, perhaps after a few drinks with the bunch, I would definitely loosen up and become a major chatterbox!

Lauri:: :teeth: Burger King crown, why didn't I think of that!

Denise:: "Holy Cow and Slap my grandma" :rotfl: :rotfl: I've never heard of that! Hee hee..I love this board, everyone is super friendly...and I can chat up a storm online, but in person, I get nervous in the begining, then most the time, I loosen up (it helps to have a couple of :drinking1 ). :teeth:

I am going to print out the list Shell sent and make sure it gets packed. And I gotta go pick up the gift for the gift exchange, we're heading upstate this weekend to visit DH's parents, so I'd like to get the gift before then...we'll see how much I can get done! Well it's really late, I need to catch some zzz's.

Have a great night everyone! :grouphug:

Good Morning     ,
Well today is another gloomy rainy day. 7 days without sun :sunny: :sunny: !! Today I am getting all the Christmas Stuff out of storage and start putting it up. That's what we are up today. Anybody have plans for the weekend?? Well we are putting up our tree on Saturday and Sunday we are celebrating DH's 30th birthday :bday: :bday: . DH is an accountant and he has a very busy time and with us going on vacation he will be working late all next week so we won't be able to celebrate his birthday on Monday. Talk to you later

Queenie: You are heading upstate NY?? Where about I live Upstate NY??

It is really warm in NH this morning.
When we drove by the bank at 5:30 it was 64 degrees! That is crazy for the week before thanksgiving. (heat wave!)
I almost don't like it! I want it to be COLD here so I can smile and think about the nice warm cruise weather we will be having!.
Oh well, I won't complain too much! Its better than a blizard!

Kathy, I hope you are feeling better!

Howdy y'all,
well I am about 90% back to normal, but my husband says that is impossible because I have never been normal :lmao: Thanks for all the pixie dust! :tink:

Joel, I agree it is very frustrating when you can get online or post. Today it seems to be working ok, so hopefully they have repaired what ever was wrong. :cool1:

Boy we had a lot of posts yesterday. The past 4 days we have averaged 100 posts a day. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Okie, I hope your mom is doing better now. :goodvibes
Lynn, I hope grandma is holding her own ok too. It is very hard when people reach the point they cant do anymore for them.

Well Linda will have a cool start to her vacation. We are very cold this morning and only gonna be around 70 over the weekend, but only highs in the mid 60's on Monday and Tuesday. :rolleyes1 I hope she brought some warm clothes too!!!

Shell,
Thanks for the list, it was great and I printed it off to bring with me so I have all our information handy. :thumbsup2

Michelle better PM shell if you didint get the cruise list because she did send them out. :surfweb:

Good Morning Nana Heads!!!

Off to Kohls this morning, then w__k.

I have been trying to book DH and DS onto the St Thomas submarine tour and it has not been available. Tonight it was there - with 3 available timeslots. So I am thinking they might have opened up more ressie space. So - if you need times make sure to check there. I'm going to take a look at Palo now to see if there is anything open.

Sorry - no Palo available :guilty:

Sarah: I just checked DCL's site and there are staterooms available from Cat. 4-12. Interesting.

Free Upgrades -- anyone get one yet???

Have a great Friday.

Good morning all! I hope everyone is having a great Friday. A little bit of a cold start here this morning (41 degrees), but it is supposed to be a beautiful and comfortable day!

Good Morning Everyone!

Let me clarify what actually happened in the kitchen yesterday...thankfully there wasn't a fire..but it was real close...I burned all of the water out of the pot and the lid was starting to blister and pop....NOT GOOD...it took hours to get the smell out of the house but by early evening last night things were pretty much back to normal. Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Going to Jazzercise this morning and then I will probably take advantage of the beautiful sunny weather we are having and head out to do some shopping later.

BOB - safe trip!

KATHY - glad you are feeling better. Me and DD are feeling MUCH better...DS seems a little funky this morning but nothing serious.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Nanas!

Getting ready to go into work this morning (office girl is now sick, too) and I'll be armed with disinfecting wipes & spray. Maybe Bill & I should get gas masks and haz mat suits, too!

Tonight we have a birthday party for my dad and my niece. :bday:

Last night we had parent-teacher conferences; all the teachers knew about the upcoming DCL cruise! Jessalyn will be the third or fourth kindergartener to miss several days of school to go to something Disney. The teacher gave a couple ideas of things Jess could do while gone, so no problems there.

Josh -- despite what you may have read about me, I will also be running a lot on deck 4 and probably also on the treadmills in the fitness center. I run a lot of road & trail races and the first race for the 2007 season is Dec. 16. :sad2: What is your specialty? I was a middle distance runner (800m) in high school & college. Anyway, I look forward to seeing you out & about! :thumbsup2

Tiara talk -- I'm NOT spending $80 for a tiara. I think I'll polish up my existing crowns and just be happy with that. I did see some little plastic tiaras in the party section at Target - $2.99. I was hoping to get DD a new one since all of hers are broken -- princesses are so hard on their headwear! :rotfl:

Well, better get going! I won't be able to check in until later!

Have a good one! :wave2: :grouphug: :grouphug: to anyone not at 100% capacity. Get better soon! :grouphug: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Today is going to be busy again. Big suprise right?? :confused3 I have to finish getting ready for this Ladies Night out I am involved in. I am hoping to finish my cruise stuff up this weekend. I still have not made my door signs. Nothing like waiting till the last minute.

:grouphug: to those still not feeling well. Heres some pixiedust: Cheri. Hoping you don't catch anything from work. I am feeling better today. I just keep popping those vitamins.

Not much to report today. Bob, you will appreciate this. I have two relatively large clients who are in similar businesses (not really competitors, but...) and one is lots of fun to work with...the other not so much. When I got into this independent consulting business, I didnt' really want to work as much as I am right now..so I'm seriously toying with the idea of dumping one of them under the pretense of potential competitive conflicts. I have picked up several other projects and one long term client on top of my regular work to make this feasible. BUT it's so darned hard to turn down business. I feel like doing so would give me really bad karma and then when I find myself slow I'll never get it back. Irrational I know...but..

Jan - Now I owe you TWO drinks. Geez. But this one I knew. The hoopies (our pet name for WVU folks) must have been a bit scared at halftime though...and that's all that matters!

Pat - I saw the email from Stacey this morning. It's so sweet. Elizabeth didn't see it yet but she is going to be SO excited when she comes home from school today. We're going out to a basketball game this evening but I bet she will race to the computer when we get home later tonight.

Lynn - your little guy is very cute. If he doesn't mind playing with an older woman, Emily will likely still be playing in the Mickey ear on this trip too. She's about 95 percent potty trained, but we don't want to take the chance of being the people who make the mickey pool close down! :guilty:

Everyone else- have a GREAT day. I can't believe that next week at this time, we'll be heading to the airport for our flight.

I understand completely. That is actually one of the things that has kept me from stepping out on my own. I have this great relationship with several clients, but I have this fear that when I step out, they will be like "Bob who?".

Oh well, life is good today. I am at one of my favorite clients for a close-out meeting to tell them how bad the IT structure is for one of their acquisitions. Should be a FUN meeting! :thumbsup2

I'm actually jealous of those of you having cold weather. We have been sweltering in California, and my air conditioning is broken. It actually got up to 95 upstairs last week. Sounds weird to complain about, but its November for Jiminy Cricket's sake.

DS lost a tooth last night. I was actually a little bummed cause I was hoping :tinker: could visit him on the ship. That and it means that he's growing up.

Went to the Dr. this a.m. for a regular visit, and he insisted that I get a pneumonia shot. I didn't even know they existed! He promised no side effects (he knows about the cruise ... heck for that matter, I think the garbage men, the grocery store clerks, the bank tellers, and random people that stand anywhere near us and don't walk away quick enough know about it) :lmao:

I went back into my subscribed threads and found the post from June 2006. A guy said their family received certificates for free breakfast buffet when they checked in at the Hyatt. I did question him about it and he said it was through Hyatt. . .perhaps they don't readily advertise this.??

Did more searching, but it mostly gave me what people were paying for their rooms via internet sites.

Didn't see anything mentioned about breakfast. (But several reiterated how simple it is to get from the hotel to the DCL buses (and they start leaving pretty early if that's a concern).

I'm not going to expect any free breakfast. That way I won't be disappointed!!!!

Tomorrow I am decorating the rest of the house. Well everyone have a great weekend!! I am going to help DH now. Talk to you all tomorrow!!

Queenie: Cobleskill I am not sure where that is?? I live about 25 mins. from Woodbury Commons Outlets. I live in Orange County NY.

Cheri: Thanks for checking that. DH said he heard that the Hyatt will tranfer your luggage right to the ship.

Lauri: Great Picture!!

ah Lynn, my heart goes out to you about your Grandma. That's got to be very hard for you. Just know that she would want you to enjoy yourself on the trip so that you can tell her all about it when you get back :flower3:

Take care

Good Evening All,
Well my grandmother was moved to a Nursing Home last night. The infection still has not cleared up but the hosptial can not do anymore for her. I am nervous to go away but I gave my Mom all the info for the Hyatt and the Ship if she needs to get in touch with me.

Lynn: I know how you feel about leaving. As my DS (joelidol) already posted-my mom is doing better-hopefully home Sunday or Monday-will need to be on antibiotics for a month-if it doesn't clear this time I don't know what we will do :sad2:

Good News: Today, after searching for a week at Kohl's, Sears, and Walmart, I found a ummm....guys stop reading now :rotfl2: ...a ..what do I want to call it?? "a body sucker in that hides all my...shall we say faults"...to wear under my dress...you know in my 40's-two kids later....Josh..stop reading this :lmao:

Other good news: found a cute pair of black strappy sandals on a sale/clearance rack for $5.62...yeah baby  :cheer2: :yay:

Days left to work:     -12 hour shifts-yuck :furious:

Catch y'all later.....Okie :)

Mine: Working tomorrow 8-12.
When I get home probably shopping stop at target and pick up a few last minute things....makeup and such.....then grocery shopping, which wont be bad since I only have to buy enough for a few days. :cheer2:

Sunday may take a ride to my dads and go to breakfast. Then when I get home clean bathrooms and bedroom and finish doing some packing and ironing.
Then only 3 days of work left.... :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo:
get a few things together for thanksgiving, my sister Marge is having us over, bringing some side dishes and thats it......Friday head to airport at around 10:30 am.....yeah :cheer2:  :woohoo:  :woohoo: :cheer2:
I cant wait.....I am sooooooooo excited..!!!!!

Talk with ya all later

I'm actually folding and laying out clothes to pack with jewelry to match (this is huge for me since I usually stay up all night and pack before we leave).

My mom tried on her formal and it fits (yee haa!) She's been through such an ordeal this year (in June she had a Massive Heart Attach--DIED--was REVIVED -- but was thought to be without oxygen for up to 8 minutes). That's why she moved in with us and is accompanying us on this trip.

You'll be surprised when you meet her, she's doing remarkably well.

Anyway, that's my story for tonite.....off to make dinner and obsess and procrastinate more.

Lynn:: :grouphug: to your grandma...and you! Don't worry, she's in great hands, just relax and enjoy the cruise.

Lauri:: OMG, I'm so glad to hear your mom is doing well, that's awesome! :thumbsup2

DH and I had a "date" tonight, DM watched Maddie while DH and I went to dinner, had adult conversation, and then went to Barnes and Noble! :goodvibes I ended up buying the Passporter's Disney Cruise Guide, I couldn't resist, I'm so excited...I always end up buying one before each cruise...by buying the book it only solidifies that the cruise is only DAYS away!!!

Hello all....one week to go.....next week at this time we will be about 38,000 feet in the air moving rather quickly toward Orlando....

Went to Home Depot the other day to buy a ladder and assorted things and happened by the paint department....picked up some of those lime green mickey heads....gonna put my screen name on one and wear it on my hat....just horrible with names....gonna be 54 on the cruise and think that I am developing altimers....cannot remember anything....but do know that cruise is 1 week ago.....

Upgrades....I don't think Disney gives em out....they want ya to pay for them at the port........I am destined to remain in an inside cabin....not bad....I'm on the ship.....

Six more working days for me....real busy ones!

Have a good night and a great Saturday!

Good Morning All:

Lauri: Glad to hear good news about your mom.

Lynn: :grouphug: to you and your grandma.

Tom: I like your wife's attitude about her cold. I've been around sickly people the last couple of weeks and I'm determined to stay healthy until after 12/2! By the way, at age 54, you're still a kid!!!

Jeff: What can I say??? :woohoo: :woohoo:
Jeff buys me two drinks, I buy Shell one drink, I'm ahead by one!

Bo: Even if you aren't a U of M fan, it's sad to hear that Bo died yesterday. He was Mr. Football. Interesting game today in Columbus.

Hyatt at MCO: I stayed there last year before a Wonder cruise, and we didn't get complementary breakfast. We walked a very short distance to the food court in the airport. Leaving luggage outside your room is secure and easy. A very nice feature at the Hyatt is that you need a room key to operate the elevators.

Waiting for my friend Sue to arrive from Detroit. We're going shopping, lunch, etc. A fun day together.

An Open Letter to PGFOUR

Dear Cheri:

I'd like to apologize profusely for exacerbating the impression on this board that you are the lush of the group. In the past 24 hours, I have been enlightened in such a way that warrants this apology.

Without naming any names, it has been brought to my attention that there are others that, with their exhuberant carry-on alcoholic stash, far exceed the small, respectable supply in your plans.

Again, I will not name names as to protect those of which I speak. But, man, can they ever party in New Orleans!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
One week one week one week :cool1: :cheer2:

It's hard to believe we are just one week away! I feel like I should be in panic mode...but I'm not. I guess because we've done a the cruise before I feel like it will all just come together over the next couple of days...I sure hope so.
Don got his clothes together last night so now all we need to do is put all our stuff in suitcases/garment bags. I think we've done a pretty good job of keeping clothes to a minimum (wait...that doesn't sound right :rotfl: ). What I meant to say is I don't think we overpacked.
I'm going to call Shirley this morning and see if it's too late to do a couple of baskets...it's just one of those things that I was going to do when I got around to it and well...hopefully it's not too late.
Me and DD are feeling much much better but now DS is worrying me...he's got a bit of a chest/cough thingy going on....gotta knock that out of him real fast!
Big game today.. GO RUTGERS!!! Don got his Master's from there and my best friend and her DH graduated from there.
I hope everyone has a terrific day!

Good morning y'all,
I know I'm late :sad2: today.
I actually slept in until 6:30. Guess being sick for a couple of days got to me.
Then I made pancakes and sausages for breakfast. :stir:

When I got on line this morning I found someone going on our cruise named GordonE. I invited him over to say Howdy, I sure hope he posts. He is new to crusing and is coming with a large group of people. :goodvibes
So If GordonE shows up, be nice, we dont want him to be scared off right away by all the  people here. :lmao:

It was in the 40's this morning. Suppose to be very cool the first part of next week, Only highs in the mid 60's. They havnt predicted next saturday yet, but you might want to make sure everyone has a light weight jacket and a pair of long pants for that first morning.

Lauri, so glad you mom's doing better!! She really deserves a nice vacation now that she is feeling better.

well time to get busy around here, I will check back in a few.
Hopefully we will hit 5500 today.

I will be watching the Magic pull out tonight thinking next week we will be on it and someone else wil be watching us pull away!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Bob, just for all those little slams, I'm going to make it my mission on this cruise to get Lisa to come over to OUR side (that's Wendy, Cheri & Me)! :lmao:

Hooray ... couple more things off the list this morning ... got the regional gift purchased. It was the LAST ONE in the store!!! Can't believe it was there for me to grab! Got all my bank transactions done. Going to write checks for all the bills due on 12/1, inventory the toiletries and such and see what we're missing, and I think we're close to being ready to go!

Oh yeah ... and spa (read: waxing) appointment on Wednesday! Bill was asking exactly what that entails this morning. As I explained, he said, "And will all your scabs be healed by the time we leave?" :rotfl2: Silly men!

BIG football weekend here. Unless you've been in a cave, you know this afternoon is Ohio State/Michigan (RIP Bo, thanks for the memories), #1 and #2, 6.5 point spread last time I looked. Tomorrow is Browns/Steelers. OK, we only watch for the nostalgia ... gawd knows we're not watching for the strategic genious of the Browns coaching staff! :sad2:

So, unless it's changed...we're meeting at Signals at 3 for banana daiquiries? Is that correct? If not, can someone email me and let me know where we're supposed to be. Shell has my email address and I don't have access to our Cruise List so I can't remember if our email addresses are on there.

So excited here in PA!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  :cool1: :thumbsup2

Jamie ... I just sent the updated Cruisemate List the other day, and you should have gotten it! On the 2nd to last page are all the meets. We pushed back the 3:00 on Saturday to 2:45. See you then! Check your e-mail!
