Hi everyone

I like Tiara Bob and the dreamboats :rockband: Can't wait to hear you all sing :cool1: Don't think I can talk my DH into singing.

Boy sounds like some of you ate well today. Shell I am going to try that pork chop recipe. All I had was left over tacos.

Linda- you are really organized with the scrapbooking. You have inspired me to try to get a book done. I love to scrap book, but it is hard to find time to do it- I don't know why :confused3

You guys are putting me to shame with your packing!! I have barely started. :scared1: I am getting the suit case out tomorrow. I also have to get my door signs done. Do you actually buy magnetic paper or do you put the paper in a magnetic page protector? I have not even been to the store to look for anything yet. I have a lot of scrapbooking supplies and I plan to use some of that.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. My birthday is actually tomorrow, but we celebrated yesterday. I guess I am like Bob and have 2 days to celebrate :rotfl: Tomorrow will be a day all to myself. NO husband or kids Oh what shall I do?? :)

Today we went to church. We then spent the rest of the day visiting 2 friends who are in the hospital. My one friend had a baby, so that was a fun visit!

Well I think I am all caught up. I am becoming a DIS addict :lmao: Spending way too much time online.

Did watch the Wonder sail off tonight. Wow that will be us in less than 2 weeks!! :bounce:

Have a good night all.

:cool1: NICE GOING WENDY AND JOSH IN PUSHING FOR THAT 5000!!!!!!! :cool1: I guess the only goal we have left is ... boarding the ship! :rotfl:

Wendy and Denise: The recipe is SOOOOOOOOOO easy. Ready?
1. Brown pork chops (don't have to be cooked all the way through)
2. Place chops in crockpot
3. Cover chops with 1 box of prepared pork-flavored Stove Top stuffing
4. Cover stuffing with 1 can of apple pie filling
5. Turn on the crockpot; cook on medium for about 4 hours

Kelly, honestly ... the only thing I need on the ship is ME! Otherwise it's just my normal, everyday routine stuff (toiletries and such). Probably the only thing I can't do without is sunglasses. I've heard of people using those over-the-door shoe organizers for toiletries, too, which is a pretty good idea! But there's only 2 of us, so we're not really that crowded in the cabin.

DBWally ... it's true. Wendy, Cheri and I are like a 3-headed monster :lmao:

Desperate Housewives is coming on soon ... catch you all tomorrow.

There's only two of us, too, Woo, but we're so disorganized we need the shoeholder to ever find anything. At home we live with ever increasing piles until they topple - then we tidy up. lol.

I do try to clear away the scrap table top after every project though. It kinda clears my mind, too. I don't scrap chronologically any more - only by projects. Otherwise for me, it seems like an unscaleable mountain of things to scrap that are only marginally interesting.

Sleep well, all!

Hey Pat - then you must hear "Meeska, Miska, Mooska..........Mickey Mouse!" all the time - DS likes the Clubhouse too - but we only get it on the computer up here.

CONGRATS to everybody on reaching 5000 - and a week BEFORE the cruise no less. :thumbsup2

Linda - we are leaving on your Turkey-day...next Thursday (23rd) and are staying at the Residence Inn for 2 nights.

So..........I have to tell you all that pre-cruise hysteria is in full gear. I went out on Wednesday and bought a few things, including a fancy button to sew onto the shawl/shrug thing I got at Walmart that past weekend. I like the shawl, and it was cheap, but the botton is ugly. Anyway, so I am in my 'cruise' room today putting a few things together and I decide to bring up the button to sew on the shawl tomorrow. I go to lookfor the shawl and can't find it anywhere. Then I start to think that I can't remember seeing it in the house. I check the trunk of the car - no shawl. So....I'm having a senior moment and decide to check the receipt from Walmart. Well...lo and behold....there is no shawl on the bill. I FORGOT TO BUY THE DARN THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I guess in my rush to get the heck out of that crazy store I didn't grab it on the way out after trying on some other stuff. Well, at least I didn't lose it in the house somewhere! So, I am heading back to the big W tomorrow to pick one up (they better still have one in my size!!!!!! ).

I officially cancelled our Doubloon excursion with DCL and independantly booked the Altantis Submarine on St Thomas for DH and DS. They just didn't seem too keen on the snorkelling and really wanted to check out the sub. That also leaves me a few hours to assault the stores on St Thomas. We are heading to the Lotterie Farm on St Maarten on our own too - so fingers crossed all goes OK.

I have decided to keep the couples massage. I have been stressing about the $$ for it, but we really need something nice with each other and we did get the $200 re-booking bonus so I figure we'll put it towards the couples Villa cost.

DH (finally) tried on his semi-formal outfit and determined that the shoes he was going to wear are missing (we seem to have a theme going in this house LOL). Anyway, after much thinking we remembered he gave them to a friend of his as they were too small on him. So now he needs new shoes (lord gove me strength ;) ).

DH also wanted to let the Dreamboats know that he does a mean rendition of 'Sweet Transvestite' from The Rocky Horror Picture Show'. I am doubtful Disney has that particular song, but DH is usually pretty willing to make an *** of himself so I think you can count him in for karaoke.

Can't remember if I said I got the pillow cases for DS etc. today? Anyway, found a place in the mall that embroiders, so will check that out tomorrow.

Better head off now - talk to ya'all (this that right?) tomorrow....Git R Done pirate:

Hello To All

Only two weeks to go and we finally were able to sign me up and let me post. I am Denises sister Marge and the proud sister in law of Dream Boat Wally. I have been reading most of all the posting everyone has sent and am so excited to meet everyone. I keep telling my DD and DGK we are going to have a super and fun time on this cruise. We went on Disney Cruise in October 2003 with my other DD and son in law and two DGk and that was the begining of my Disney Cruise adiction.
Today my DD and DGK were over preparing Disney Mickey chips from Home Depot for all our doors, plus we put candy bags together for the shows. I also helped the DGK put together their choices of outfits they are taking and suggestions what to take, needless to say they are so excited. My DGD stated she will not sleep the day before we leave which will be Friday the 24th they are all sleeping at my house so we will go to the airport together, by the way we are being picked up at 4:30 am our plane takes off at Midway Airport at 7:25 am will arrive in Orlando at 11:20 am. Once we pick up our rented viecheal we are driving to Sea World to start our fun filled vacation. We will meet up Denise and Wally at our Hotel and we will be :dance3: for Saturday to arrive and begin the fun :cool1:. I will post again tomarrow

Jeff - Stacey is NOT shy at all. She is very outgoing and a take charge kind of gal. I'm sure she and Elizabeth will get along just fine. I'm going to see Stacey in the a.m. and I'll tell her I found her a friend for the cruise! She'll be very happy about that. That should put me on the favorite grandma list! Does Elizabeth use the computer? If so, maybe I can get Stacey to e mail her and they can get to "meet" one another before hand.
Going to watch amazing race...forgot it was on!
Pat

Pat- that'd be great. just have her send a PM through here and I'll get Elizabeth to answer.

Hello fellow cruisemates! I see you have all been busy posting! Congrats on the 5000 posts! You guys are good!
Just wanted to pop in.
As if it isn't bad enough in its own right, I found out why it is never good to bring a 5 year old bathing suit shopping with you....imagine being half naked in a dressing room with paper thin walls , and your own daughter announces "Mom, that bathing suit would look good on you if you lost weight." Anyway...it's done. I have a bathing suit...not the one that sparked the comment....but a fairly decent one, I hope. Packing has officially begun.
Gotta work tomorrow...so night all! princess:

Michelle, anchorage is not a town. It means that the Magic will be anchored in the bay, and not at one of the docks. We will have to tender in to the island. I am pretty confident that we will be tendering into Charlotte Amalie, which is the main shopping are in St. Thomas.

My DH researched into this after I asked, and we are glad that we will be there at the main port, tendering or not. Thanks so much for answering my question. You'd have thought I have never been there before. :rotfl:

Lauri, You had quite a day yesterday, there girl! Try not to work yourself to a frazzle before we go, k? And please don't cry over Palo being full. You'll most likely be able to get it on the ship.

Hi Marge - welcome aboard - I see your loving relatives named you, lol - more nanas.

Sarah, forgetting to buy the shawl - that is SO me - I don't need anyone to drive me crazy - I can do it for myself!

Ok. Back to bed for the second half of the night.

Good Morning All,
:cheer2: :cheer2: party: Great Job on reaching 5000 before the cruise!! We did it :cheer2: :cheer2: !! DH and I have been up since 3 am because DS decided not to sleep!! He was ready to play at 3am :sad2: :sad2: !! Today my friend is coming over with the twins for lunch. I got all excited for the cruise because I packed up my suitcase :woohoo: :woohoo: !!! We are going to be a sight in the airport!! 4 suitcases, carry-on bag, diaper bag and a stroller   !! Well off to make bottles and get DS's cereal ready for later!! Talk to you all later    !!

Pat: No I did not think you were being a smart mouth at all. Everybody told us don't go crazy on gifts for Drew. Drew watches the Mickey Mouse Club and Me and Dh go around singing that silly song "Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot diggity Dog"!!!!

:welcome: Marge,
It's great you could join us!!! This is the most exciting time because we are so close and since we have made it past the 5000 post you wont have to worry about me bringing out the whip!! :lmao:

Lauri,
Dont worry about Palos. When you first board the ship you will be able to go to one of the clubs( they will give you a paper at checking telling you where and when) and make a reservation for Palos.
They only allow a certain amounts of reservations on line. The rest are for people to make in person. That way people who dont have computers still have a fair chance to make a reservation too. Just go there ASAP!!!

I think we will easily make another 500 posts before the cruise.

We are almost down to single digits :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Sarah - do you have a VCR? If so, I'll tape the Mickey Mouse Club House for you. It comes on each morning here. I could get a couple of shows taped before we leave. Let me know. I'm glad you don't have the pox at your house! Still haven't heard of anyone down this way with them.

Lynn - I reread my post and thought that maybe I sounded a bit bossy! Mothers tend to be that way sometimes! Just wanted to let you know that I didn't mean a thing by it. Glad you didn't take it that way now I'll be able to hold Drew! :goodvibes

Linda - are you the one staying at the Wilderness Lodge? Don't forget your scrapbook. I'd love to see it.

Good morning Nanas!

:welcome: Marge! We're also from Illinois, but we're flying out of O'Hare Friday a.m. As long as there isn't a traffic jam on I-90 by Woodfield, we should be o.k. :thumbsup2 We looked at flying out of Milwaukee, but there aren't as many alternative flights in case we get some S*** on Thanksgiving.

Shell - the recipe sounds great! I should try that for one of these upcoming days when I don't want to cook.

:cheer2: :cheer2: On the 5000 posts! Sorry I wasn't there to witness it. Let's see, what was I doing? Oh, yeah -- cleaning the basement!!! :woohoo:

I'm soooooo excited! I get a hug from DBW!!  I knew all that useless trivia would come in handy some day! (I do stand corrected, though -- I believe ALL the t-birds say that line. . .maybe not Davey (the liitle guy).)

Perhaps we ladies need to sing "Cool Rider" :moped: or "Leader of the Pack" :moped: as a tribute to DBW!

Speaking of singing -- a) where's Tiara Bob??? Getting fitted for his headwear?? I thought he'd have a comment about the name of their group -- or did I miss it?, and b) I haven't volunteered DH for any karaoke yet! Maybe the two Bills would like to sing some Alice in Chains tunes to the delight (or horror) of us females! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well -- going to run and then get ready for work. Think I'll take off (work from home) at least two days this week so I can be more productive.

Wendy -- good job on the power shopping! Sorry I didn't get my list to you in time! :rotfl2:

Sarah -- I know what you mean about thinking you bought something only to discover (after tearing the house apart)that wasn't the case. Good luck in your search for the same or similar thing!!

Talk to you later!

My wife bought this color on magnetic paper at Michaels and the kids are coloring their own door signs... but if i want to do something from the computer i surely can't put the paper through the printer since it is like an inch thick (ok so I'm exaggerating). Did she buy the wrong stuff? Is there no such thing as magnetic paper that will fit through computer? Do you rip off the paper part and then restick it on the magnet? HELP!!!!

Magnetic paper is available at Wal-Mart and office supply stores. it is just a little bit thicker than cardstock and designed to work with inkjet printers. :thumbsup2

I read somewhere that they may have released an anniversary version along with the sequel (which, of course, doesn't star Susan Sarandon & Barry Bostwick) earlier this year.

TB (Movie buff): help me out here. . . :confused3
Actually, I only saw it on the big screen one time. But, it is one of those movies I think everyone shoudl experience. I didn't dress up, but many who were there did dress up. We did throw rice and toast, and there were some water pistols (you have to know the movie to know the reasons).

I do believe there was an anniversary DVD released, but I haven't heard anything about a sequel. Rocky Horror is one of those cult movies that wouldn't sequel very well. It has a certain attraction to it, but don't try and over-capitalize on it!

I've only seen it at the theater once myself. We were in college and saw it in Omaha. We were probably about the only ones NOT dressed up! One guy with us was from a tiny town in western Nebraska -- talk about culture shock! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I don't know what was funnier -- the audience participation or the look on this poor guy's face! :lmao:

I'd never heard of the sequel either. I think it was a more futuristic setting. I guess the hard-core RHPS cultists would know about it. . . :confused3

If there are any "So You Think You Can Dance" fans out there, I hope you'll indulge me. This is a link to a video on YouTube from an Intensive that my son was in this summer. He took classes with Nick Lazzarini, Melody, Artem, Jamile .......He's the little tiny one in the video (kind of hard to see him -- but he's wearing an orange vest in the middle of the video and is looking into a camera.

Anyway, just a proud mom moment.

I hope you enjoy!

Lauri,
boy those kids have energy!! I enjoyed watching the video, but now I feel tired!!! Good video.

Tom,
No need to read all those posts again, I will come to your rescue,
our family meet is the first day at 2:45 in the Promenade lounge.
Those who want to are invited to bring a Christmas gift that is an ornament or regional gift, $10 limit. One gift per family. We are drawing names to see who gets which ones.

Also at 1:01 some of the adults are meeting at signals for a drink to kick off the cruise.

That should cover it for you. If not just ask.

Hi everyone,
11 days and counting. I can't believe it is almost here. We got our docs the end of last week. Did anyone else get theirs. I was so excited when they came UPS. We also started to pack. My 3 DD's are all packed and ready to go. I just need to pick up a few more things. I also need to get my haircut.

Hope everyone has a great day

Good Morning all,

Does anyone else feel like the world is running at about 90mph and they are puttering along at 25mph?

Here is what I still have left to do......
PACK (that mean the whole ball of wax, tuxes, dresses, clothing in general, along with all the necessaries that Women must pack)
Get DS some new dress pants
Get Passports out of Bank Box
Take Piggy Bank to bank and get money out of piggy bank
Work on Album for our angel
Get copy of ressie to Mother and ex-husband
Tell the credit cards im leaving the country
Get money from bank
Charge all the various camera, pda's, computer that we are taking with us
Get my DS some new water shoes (he has to quit growing)
Get long distance cards for telephone calls in St Marteen & St Thomas
Get CHEESE WIZ for snorkeling

Pray for me. This is probably half the things I really must do within the next 11 days. AAAGGGGGHHHH.

Anyone else feel like this?

Happy Monday.

Uh....Maverick? As I recall, Goose dies pretty early in that movie. Besides, I sing like old people kiss...slow and sloppy. I'll make you a deal...if you can find me on Kareoke night.....nahhhhh....even if you do, I DONT sing! (oh yeah...and my dancings pretty horrible too so thats limited to the minimum that Woo will let me get away with...
I do buffets well, I relax good....I'm even good at hanging around on deck 10 and looking inconspicuos....those activities are right up my alley.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Yes, but if you will ALSO recall from the movie, Goose was the one banging a song out on the piano for his woman. And he couldn't sing, PERIOD!! Don't leave me hanging buddy! Don't abandon me now!

He's 7 1/2, the next youngest kid there was 13 so he was clearly in over his head. I was proud of him, though, he can really keep up with the big dogs.

He'll be doing the Family Talent Show on the ship. He's going to freestyle a tap/hip hop routine. I'm his mom, but I still think he's pretty darn talented.

Oh no!

I had my DD try on her dresses and shoes yesterday because I was scared of the same thing. She's only 5, but some of the jeans I bought in September are already too short! She could wear those pants in Washington state and she'd fit right in! :rolleyes1

I'm tempted to buy her suspenders - or suggest she become a plumber!!! If I buy pants that are long enough, they're way too big in the waist (even the ones with the adjustable waistbands).

Thanks goodness we're cruising to the Caribbean and not Alaska!

Good luck! As if you didn't have enough to take care of! Hopefully you can find some "summer" items for her.

Good Evening Nana Heads!!!!

Wow -- you were all busy while I was in Cleveland and Morgantown. I've only read about half the posts. I'll try to catch up tomorrow.

The Wiggles were great -- or as my 2.5 DGS said, "Nana, they're cool".

Yeah -- We received our cruise docs. I haven't looked at them yet. Hope everything is there.

Tonya - what do you do at the law firm? I have a paralegal degree, but work as a secretary with way too much work and responsibility! I love my job and my two bosses. Our office is casual dress. My prior job was in the legal department of an insurance company and we were able to wear jeans, shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. I hated giving up that perk, but my current job was beckoning me.

Jeff - your girls are so cute! They must look like your wife, right???!!! ;)
Sorry about my assumption that Pitt was playing WVU last weekend. I had such a difficult time finding a hotel room, that I assumed the Pitt fans were invading Morgantown.

Cheri -- quit having nightmares, especially about me!!! However, all you Nana Heads are invited to our "mini mansion". We'll have to form a line outside both bathrooms each morning you're visiting us.

Linda -- looking forward to your PMing me about MAW kid(s) on our cruise. Hope we're not doing a creative type gift as I am creatively challenged.

Getting my hair cut and color tomorrow night. One more item to take off my to-do list.

Dave and I are staying home this weekend to catch up with our packing, etc.

Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Hi Linda:

Just pm'd you with email address and phone number. Dave is awake until 1am tonight. Feel free to call.

DreamBoatWally and his crooners:

When/where is the karaoke party? There is no way in h__l you will get Dave to sing. He did karaoke one time, but he was much younger and drunk! Last year on the Magic, I was pulled from the audience to participate in the entertainment at the CMs talent show. I was hopping on one leg while the ship was going through 14 foot waves in Diversions which is in the front of the ship. Dave was sliding down in his seat hoping I wouldn't breat a leg!

One more thing...

How could I have not remembered earlier to talk about our ladies day/night out? Sounds like we'll have quite a group. Any suggestions as to where/when? Of course, with all the activities on board, we may not find a time when we're all free to get together. Anyway, knowing how terrific us ladies are at multi-tasking, I have no doubt we will do our best to all get together.

Where - My suggestion is to meet indoors -- perhaps at the Promenade Lounge because it would easily accommodate us and if we have rain/wind, etc., we won't have to replan our gathering. I'm thinking that we will have to work around the timing of the art auction, which last year was in the lounge. Kathy, is the art auction still being held there?

Day/Time - What about Monday? Perhaps late morning unless anyone has Palo brunch plans or a meet and greet is scheduled late morning. I'll leave the logistics of getting together up to everyone else.

Another brainstorm -- what about getting together for lunch and meet at Lumieres or Animators?

Ok. I'm shutting down my multi-tasking brain and hoping to get some needed sleep.

Jan,
in August it was held in the atrium.
But most of the trivia games were held in the promenade each day. But I'm sure there will be some free time in there sometime, just have to check the navigator each day.

Ok, who is in charge of letting us all know which Karoake our Dreamboats are gonna be performing at. I think one of the wives of a performer because they are the only ones who will know when. Maybe you could have our room numbers and call and leave a message on the phone about it, plus spread the news by word of mouth as we see each other.

This is a once in a life time thing and I dont want to miss it.
Some people will be heading our early for their vacations so we need to know how this is going to work so nobody will feel left out.

Please somebody make a decision and let us know.
we can all post room numbers for who ever needs it if you want to call.
Just let us know,

well off to bed,
kathy

So now, you're saying we talk too much, Kathy???? It's as I said before - ain't NO pleasing some people (shakes head sadly)

Tonight, I finished translating Tonya's teeshirt into a 'fridgie' for our doors. I'm so confused now, I don't know WHAT I have left to do!

I'm going to bed. Maybe I can stay out of trouble there.

I have been trying to get my online documents finished and it keeps saying there is a problem. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I think I remember reading that someone had this problem. Will this be a big deal if I can't get them done before we leave?

Lorna

Lorna, that would be me. I called DCL again today and got a much more helpful CM. She advised this is a recurring problem they are working on. I managed to get DS's ID etc. keyed in but DH and mine wouldn't go (kept getting red error message). The CM was able to enter my info on her computer (although it still doesn't show up online) and I just printed the docs 'as is' to sign.

My doc pkg was also WAY smaller than last time because everything was done online. Pretty much the only thing left from it is the Bahamian immigration forms and the luggage tags.

Anyway - gotta head in to bed. Sweet-non-cruise-nightmare dreams everybody!

Here's my two-cents' worth (might not even be worth that much):

As far as karaoke night -- we may have to play that by ear (no pun intended :listen: ) to know exactly where & when -- how 'bout if everyone takes a look at the latest DIS-Group spread sheet that Shell has put out and we make sure the correct cabin number is on there. This way we can have an on-board phone tree in case we don't run into each to other during the day. Or -- someone can just pick the night and we'll be there.

Ladies' night/day: Jan, pick a day & time (one of the sea days could be good) and whoever can or wants to be there should show up. If any of you know now that you have specific plans (Palo / spa, etc.) please let Jan the Planner know.

Another thought could be attending one of the drink sampling sessions.

Like I said, just a thought. . . :confused3

It's probably going to be tough to get everyone together at a time that works perfectly, so we'll have to do the best we can! :thumbsup2

Talk to you later.
Lorna

Lorna- I will definitely tell Megan about Jordyn. She is a very friendly kid and will like knowing that someone her age is with our group. I have to say I'm pretty lucky as far as picking out clothes for her...she just turned 11 a couple of weeks ago and she's still pretty happy most of the time with whatever I pick out for her  I consider myself pretty lucky in that regard. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to hunt down a dress for her while shopping on my own...a lot easier than trying to coordinate shopping time around her dance schedule and DS's karate and basketball schedule.

Hello Nana Heads....

TONYA...shirts arrived today.....they are great....my wife is in Disney World with my daughter doing the Christmas Party tonight....she did not know about the shirts and when I spoke with her I described them to her....she thinks there great and has not even seen them yet....the check is being mailed in the morning....thank you so much for taking care of the shirts for us....

One day closer and one day less to work before the cruise.....and I have a suggestion for what to do after the cruise....book another one on the ship....and then we start this all over again....

We have already booked next years 7 day....leaving on December 1st....since my 55th birthday is on December 2, 2007....must celebrate it on the ship....will be celebrating 54 on the day we leave :furious: but....the object is to continue to have birthdays....and as long as I am breathing I will celebrate them on the Magic....

Have a great night....speak with all tomorrow....and by the way....I have always wanted to do the karaoke thing...just could never get up the guts....we see this time......

I'm so glad that everyone got their shirts and they liked them.

Jan I'm the girl friday at work. Actually i'm the only secretary for two attorneys. I love them dearly, have worked for them for almost 11 years. I could be grandfathered in as a paralegal, but it wouldn't garner me anymore money that I make now. Both of my boys (the bosses) are rotten, I do everything but pick up dry cleaning and make appointments. Neither one of them are married and so I'm the only woman in their lives. (he he) They allow me to take my child to school rather than to before school care and I get to go to most all of the school parties. They were both @ the hospital right after DS was born and have always been involved in his life. When he was little he would bring remote controlled cars into the office and they would end up playing with him rather than working. That is kind of office that you want.

Hope everyone is having a great night. I've got some scrapbooking to work on.

Linda any news from our Angel's mom?

Tonya: I've been a legal secretary for 20+ years. My degree was not intended to "move up" in the field, just something I wanted to accomplish and my employer paid the tuition. Besides, the money is better as a secretary than a paralegal in my area of the state. One of my bosses goes on fishing trips with Dave. Last year's trip was great -- no husband and minus one boss for a week!

I still have to catch up on the last 15 pages of posts.

Okay folks, EARLY on I had made mention that I would like to do a mosaic that uses our pictures from the cruise. So, here are a couple of options:

1) For those who want to transfer their pictures off of their memory cards, I will have my laptop with me on the cruise. If your camera has a USB port that will allow it to connect directly to the computer, I will be more than willing to use my computer to download your pictures and copy them to a CD for you. I could then keep those pictures you authorize to use in the mosaic, and save you the Shutters Fee. Now, keep in mind, I am not going to sit in my room and wait for folks, but I will be more than happy to set up "appointments" to do this for you.

2) If you are interested in providing your pictures for the photo mosaic, you can send me a CD of the pictures you want to include after the cruise is over. If you choose to do this, PM me and I will be more than happy to provide my contact information.

If you want to see an example of a DIS photomosaic, check out this thread:

Try to find out ahead of time where they are doing ressies...I think last year it was at Rockin' Bar?? - Kathy - do you know? We did not have a problem getting a reservation. Just know ahead of time when you want to go and don't want to go and it will be easier.

Kelly, yes our last crusie in August it was at rock n bar d and it was open as soon as you started boarding, so go there immediately upon boarding for the best chance to get a ressie.

Kelly, my tiara isn't ornate at all, its actually pretty small. I received it when my brothers and I were involved in little league football. I just removed the rhinestones and replaced them with faux pearls.

Kelly ... my tiara is HUGE! I told everyone a few (lots of) pages back that I wouldn't do it unless I could get a biggun :lmao: . Well, I found it ... on loan from a friend. In fact, I'm getting it tomorrow night!

OH WENDY! You'd think with THE spreadsheet at hand, I'd have all this to memory a little better! Yes ... repeat tasting on Thursday :woohoo: . (I really need to start remembering how to drink. DWtS finale week -- who are you betting on? It'll probably be Mario...

Cheri

Cheri,

I'm betting on Mario, and I hope others will call in. That's my son's Dance Studio that they film at and Mario and Karina have been so sweet to my son. Mario has been very attentive to my DS and always high fives him whenever he sees him.

Yep, he's okay in my book. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Okay, I know some people are going to be leaving sooner than others, so I wanted to go ahead and post this now.

Tonya, Sarah (and families) and Lisa and I have discussed having dinner on Friday night. I think the time that worked for Tonya was 7:30, so we will plan on meeting at Grills near the port at 7:30 for dinner on Friday night.

Is anyone else that is staying in Cocoa Beach on Friday night interested in doing an early meet and joining us for dinner? If so, please let me know as soon as possible how many people will be with you. I don't know that we can get reservations, but I will try and be there a little early to get us a table. You can either post here, or PM me to let me know. I am sure it will be a real party:

I just want to keep this on the main page for right now so that everyone has a chance to see it. Hope you folks don't mind!

Tiaras -- I have two small ones from high school (they're only 4 years old) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: . I'll probably just bring one of those. (Save that $$$ for more important things. . . :scratchin :drinking: )

Pirate Outfit -- Have done absolutley NOTHING here. I know some of you are getting totally decked out. :thumbsup2 How 'bout those who aren't dressing in full pirate regalia -- what are you wearing??? I know Bill won't be wearing a puffy shirt! :rotfl:

No pirate outfits here - I'll be wearing clothes, but exactly what? Haven't a clue.

Bob - for your mosaic, do you just want this cruise or any cruise? If any, I can burn you a cd.

No dinner at Grills for us, I'm afraid - we'll still be at the world, probably eating leftovers out of the villa kitchen. Our 'newbies' will be at Cirque so it can be a quiet evening of getting ready to sail!

As far as Pirate Night....right now it looks like only DS will be decked out. He has a Captain Hook costume from last year so that's easy. As for the rest of us...well Don's words were "But I don't wanna be a Pirate"....Seinfeld fans anyone???? I bought some really cool Pirate tatoos and that's probably all me, Don and DD will be wearing.

On a VERY positive note.....I got a formal dress for DD today and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. It was VERY reasonably priced and the best part is...it fits!!!

Off to take DS to youth group and then running home to make dinner for the rest of us.

Morning all,

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: :welcome: Queenie,

I am so glad you found us. I told everyone here yesterday that I found you and that they had better behave themselves so we dont scare you off :lmao:

we can get a little crazy here sometimes. I know there are too many posts to read them all, but I am known as the mean old granny with the whip that keeps everyone posting. :rotfl:

You'll soon find out about everyone else, look out for Bill and Bob, they are a couple of characters!!!! all in fun though.

Ok here is some useful info for ya.
Meet
saturday 2:45 in the Promenade lounge for the entire family

some are bringing one gift, it can be an ornament or regional gift ,limit $10 and only one gift per family. everyone who brings a gift will put their name in a hat and whose ever name you draw out, you get the gift they brought to exchange. Your welcome to do this too. :cloud9:

Adult meet 1:01 ay Signals bar the first day

Ladies are having a meet on tuesday morning but someone else will have to give you the time and place, I dont remember right now. But you are invited to all!! :lovestruc

we have a musical group here called Tiara Bob and the Dreamboats!! :rockband:
They are going to sing at Karoake one night. we are not sure which night yet, but we plan on being there to give'em a hard time, oh, I mean applaud for them?? :rolleyes1

We have a few little ones like your along too, so you will have other new moms to visit with. :dance3:

I'm sure others will have more to add to this report.
oh, PM woogal (shell) and give her your family names and such and she will add you to our list and she will send you a copy of all of our names, where we are from and room numbers. ;)

Several people are arriving a day or two ahead of time and staying at a few local hotels, are you staying the night before, if so which hotel? Maybe we will be in the same place as you and could say howdy the night before the cruise. :goodvibes
Oh and the first day in the terminal or on the ship if you see people in bright lime green shirt with a wild turkey chasing abanana on it, it will be one of us from this group, so stop us and tell us who you are. :thumbsup2

Bob - for your mosaic, do you just want this cruise or any cruise? If any, I can burn you a cd.
Linda, I would like as many from this cruise as possible, but if you have some special shots from other DCL cruises, I would be more than happy to include them.

Umm, for those of who have a million and ten things to do this week, how are supposed to keep up with all these posts? I thought I'd pass out when I logged on this morning. So I'm sure I missed quite a bit. I have so much to do today to get ready to go. We will be leaving 1 week from today. pirate: I just can't read them all.

I would love to come to the ladies meet. Please repost the time and day if someone can. I need to write things down somewhere. I was also planning to do the Martini tasting. I recently fell in love  with apple martinis and would like to try some more. :goodvibes

Here are my most recent questions:

Is it probably going to be warm enough to take the kids to the pool as soon as we board?

We can check 2 bags each and carry on 1 each? If we bring a cooler with waters and Mountain Dew, we need to carry it on?

Anyone else with 13/14 year old daughters who would like to email with my daughter a couple of times before we cruise? She decided she wants to stay with the teen group and I thought it would be nice if she kind of knew someone before we go. She does make friends pretty easily so I'm sure she will be fine.

Well I need to get the kids summer clothes out of storage and start figuring out what they can wear.

Good Morning Everyone!

Queenie, welcome to our "unique" little family! Like a family, we are an interesting blend of personalities and talent, we have our black sheep (read Shell & Wendy), but we accept them just the same!

Hope everyone is having a great day. I am spending the week in the big city of West Point, GA. Just having fun staying in hotels again!

We are celebrating: our 35th anniversary, which was in Sept., my b'day, which is Nov.24, and Esther's b'day, which is Nov. 28. :goodvibes
Looking forward to meeting you as well as your family.

Just want to say good morning to you all. I don't think I'll be posting much. Not too much to say at this point. However, I will be peeking in every so often to see if the meets have changed.

Kathy: You have been fantastic! I appreciate all your help and input. I know when everyone meets you in person they will be impressed with both you and your outlook on life. Share your story with everyone! You people are going to look at her the same way I do! Appreciate Life! Don't sweat the small stuff. :thumbsup2

Kelly: I hope your dd gets to feeling better. The "bug" lasted about a week around here! It wasn't pleasant. I guess if anyone has to get sick it should be this week and this week only!
Have a :sunny: :lmao: day!

Hi!

Ladies' Meet is Monday @ 11:00 (or 11:30?) at Adult Pool / Cove Cafe / Signals -- somewhere in that vicinity.

I think Martini tasting is Sunday & Thursday -- I forget the times -- 2:30 or 4:30.

You're right about the luggage limits. I think they like you to carry on drinks so they don't get spilled all over your luggage, or worse, someone else's.

Hope this helps a bit!

Good morning, Banana Heads

:welcome: QUEENIE AND FAMILY!!! First, let me explain ... Bob is a trouble-maker. Don't believe anything he says! :sad2: Let's see ... who else should we tell you about? If you need any shopping done before the cruise, see Lynn. If you need a new tiara, Linda has the scoop. Hope your DH is ready to sing with the Dreamboats on karaoke night! :lmao: You just don't realize what you've gotten yourself into!

I PM'd you about the cruisemate list. LAURI and TOM: I'm updating and hope to get the last one out tomorrow or Friday at the latest. Will you be e-mailing a photo for it?

ROBERT! Black sheep??? Me and Wendy??? How the heck does Cheri always get out of these things?? :rolleyes1

For those of you on the Emmitt bandwagon, all I have to say is ... HUH? :confused3 Were you watching the same show I was? :confused3 Cause Mario blew away the competition! I guess time will tell and we'll know in about 12 hours!

I just found out that 2 days after we get back from the cruise I have to go back out to AZ and NM ... ugh, gonna be a hectic week!
