Wendy says: "Kathy, IF you go to WDW in the next couple of weeks ..." :rotfl2: That's like saying, "Hey Lynn, if you get a chance to stop at the mall this week ..." :rotfl2: Is there any doubt? :lmao:

I'm here Bob....just holding back a lil bit due to your recent escapades with the tiarashttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/woogal/pinkskirtnaner9fj.gif. All this talk about princesses and queens.....phooey. When we get on the topics of favorite food you've been waiting for all these months ... favorite drinks.....what you all plan on taking from this adventure.... I wanna know that stuff. Imagining Bob in a tiara....that just gives me the willies.

Glad you're feeling better, Wendy...

Have a great day everyone.........................

I have one of those passholder pin type thingies - they ARE with the pins. Kathy, If you can't find them, I'll get them.

Someone was posting WAY earlier on this thread about finding a "wish" child to 'be nice to' ? I spoke with Shirley today for "other" reasons, and we have our child. Just in case the family is on our thread, I won't post details. PM if interested.

ok. The box is done, both post offices notified, cars rented, 5 work days left.

OH! I did something novel last night. I called and got our credit card interest rate lowered 4 1/2 points! Now, I rarely carry a balance, but thought I might want to next month until I realized the rate was 19% HOLY ^(*&(! So, I called 'em up, pressed 'em a little bit and presto - lower rate. Still not low enough to encourage me to carry a balance, but certainly better than it was!

off to make dinner.

You mean everyone's carryon ISN'T filled with liquor????? :confused3 :confused3

It does NOT signal a problem. It means you're a savvy consumer taking advantage of potential savings so you can spend that money on other things. :thumbsup2

And thanks, Shell, for referring the question to me!!!!!!! :teeth:

Relax Pat! You don't need a pass port yet. But, it sure makes life easier!

Laurie, Whatcha going to shop for ? Inquiring minds want to know!

Lynn - glad you're feeling better - it's been a couple days with no baby picture :(

I don't drink much either but oh baby! I can't WAIT for a Konk Kooler!!!!

Pre-cruise or On the Cruise?
I have spent many $$ pre cruise on Princess Costumes, new clothes for the kids...I got some Disney light thingies...ya know the ones that have the spinning lights on them...they were on sale on disney.com and I thought it would be good to have them if they want something from the gift shop that I don't want to buy....basically anything with Disney on it...Ariel and Nemo Sunscreen...Mickey Tissues....the list is tooo long.
On the boat...tshirts...PHOTOS...scrapbooking stuff...and any other knicknacks that float my boat. ;)

LindaBabe
11-09-2006, 09:23 PM
OH! I thought you had a line on wonderful things to buy in our ports of call. Even I, who hates to shop, can do some serious damage in the ships shops. lol

Not in denial about drinking - I'd LOVE to drink. Unfortunately, i'm allergic to the Nitrates in wine, and I don't like the taste of most alcohol any more. (We won't talk about back in the dark ages of my twenties ;)

Guys, any time you don't like the trend of the thread, you can always post and change the subject you know! Meanwhile . . . where's my crown?

Hey everyone,

Gotta make it quick - I need some shut eye! So....I believe I am the furthest Northern cruiser and guess what I got today....OUR CRUISE DOCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was totally expecting them not to come until a day or two before. Unfortunately I decided this was a sign to get all my ship paperwork in order, adn I went to the DCL site to update my online checkin stuff and something is wrong so I can't update. I hate it when you have a plan and something gets in your way!! Oh well, more time to get online LOL.

Linda - sent you a PM.

Sounds like things are pretty good for everyone - a few minor sickies but nothing major.

I had a bit of a scare yesterday. As you might recall, DH was away for Halloween so DS and I went to a friend's place to Trick-or-Treat. Well, said friend's mom called me yesterday and advised me her son is currently covered in Chicken POx. Well, DS has not had the Pox yet and had been a bit coughing/sicky the past few days!!!!!!! I checked his body immediately and no spots (thank God!!). We have been checking a few times a day and so far we seem to be OK. I cannot imagine how SHATTERED I would have been if I could not go on this cruise becuase of silly old Chicken Pox!!!! Not to mention, DH has never had them and I really don't need him to have Shingles on top of all this. Anyway....fingers crossed everyone escapes from this brush with disaster.

Hey Tigger
Sorry I took so long to re-post, I didn't realize a day and a half would include about 6 pages. My nick name came from work related positions and placed on me by one of my associates. I took a job as a construction superintendent for a large builder in Florida, my position in this company made me responsible for not only building houses but organizing and directing many sub-contractors and vendors, many of which were imcompetent. During my tenure, I revamped and rebuilt a division or large community that included hiring and firing appropriate personnel to bring building standards to a new level of quality. So, I pretty much removed the deficient and replaced them with proficient. With the sheer amount of changes I made, I was referred to "The Hammer". That was a long time ago, but I have been with the company so long now that it seems nick names seem to relate and it's actually a big joke now. A long winded explanation, but thats how it came to be. On a lighter note, great job on the posts, We are counting the days now and Kathy has let me know that we will start this cruise as early as the security will allow us. We are staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise so I will be at the terminal by 9:55 so we can enter at 10:00.
See everyone soon.

Good morning, Banana Heads

GREG: I had to laugh when I read your post. I've been working in new construction for the last 5 years and know EXACTLY what you're talking about when it comes to subs :sad2: . Sounds like you're one of those construction jewels that are so rare to find in this industry!

Aw c'mon BOB! It isn't so hard to say ... try it with me ... slowly ... DREAM BOAT WALLY  ! Maybe you're just jealous cause we haven't given you a term of endearment yet. Hmmm ... Tiara Bob? Stud Muffin Bob? Anyone got any other ideas? :lmao:

SARAH: OMG! Not chicken pox :scared1: ! I went to bed last night worrying about that for you! I'm one of those rare people that had them twice. I was trying to figure out if Dutch got them, isn't it only active for a week? Man, I hope he doesn't, but if he does, I'm hoping that he'll get through it and be done before the cruise!

MUTT: "Doc envy". Nice one :rotfl: Hey, I looked over on the 11/18 board and you're right ... not even a single response! Seems to me that maybe it's time to antagonize the 11/18 people with an onslaught of bananas :lmao:

Chicken Pox! Boy, if it isn't one thing...
If I'm not mistaken, and I know there is someone (or two) who is in the medical field on here to confirm or disagree, I think you can be contagious before your pox pops out. Once you pox out you're not contagious, or is it when it starts to dry up? Been so long since I was around the chicken pox. I thought they gave shots to infants for that :confused3 So far I haven't heard of anyone in our area with chicken pox. I'm going to think happy and pox free thoughts for you.

Had to take baby Laura to the doctor this a.m. she has a bad cold, Esther is home sick, and Cullen is throwing up AGAIN! Don't know what is going on here but I'm SICK of it. I hope you all stay healthy for at least the next month!

Have a :goodvibes day all. Pat

Almost forgot - Jeff - how is Emily? Hope she's doing great!

Kathy, I have a question. I just did a quick calculation. IF all the "regulars" come to the 2:45 meet, with their kids and travelling companions in tow, we're going to have over 85 people! Is the Promenade able to handle that many? I can't remember how big that area is.

mom x4,grandma x4
11-10-2006, 03:49 PM
Shell,
yes it will handle that many. It will probably take the entire place, but it shouldnt be a problem. There are always some who either get busy and forget or the kids dont want to get out of the pool for the meet or something like that.
If we get a little crowded we can just squeeze in a little tighter and everyone remember to pile on the secret, right guard, certs and such!!!

Yes guys, you too!!! :rolleyes1

I do believe each side of the lounge has 10 table that seat 4 at each one, plus there is a long couch along both the back sides that will hold a few more people. In the past most of us tended to wander around visiting instead of sitting down anyway.
We will be a sea of green shirts in there. Should be great fun, :lmao:

Afternoon folks. Glad to see that at least a couple of people missed me today, even if they were trying to cause me trouble! :stir:

Very busy day today, after a late night last night. Lisa and I and some friends went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra last night. You may not be familiar with the name, but I know that you have heard a couple of their Christmas songs. Imagine The Who gets slammed together with an Orchestra and they play Christmas (primarily, but other as well) music. Don't believe Beethoven or Handel ever imagined a rock guitar playing the violin parts. But, it was absolutely the best concert that I have been to. And, I have seen Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones this year.

Spent the day running from client to client giving bad news (sound like fun, Jeff?)! Oh what a day! TGIF for sure! :woohoo:

I called my ta - she said I didn't need to worry if they didn't come - the only thing that may n ot be on line is the immigration form for bahamas. And, the porters will put room numbers on luggage that's not tagged.

4 more workdays for me. I'm packing my cruise stuff now to check if I need to ship a box tomorrow. Took down and dumped the last of my plants. Except the daisy chrysanthemum that is blooming it's little heart out. We NEVER have flowers this late in upstate new york.

OUr little "fairy -er harrygodmother" mission is coming along nicely. If anyone else cares to join the group, just send a pm.

Ok Break is over - back to work!

OK - to those involved in our 'secret project' I have PM'd you trying that 'copy' thing - let me know if it doesn't work. Like Linda said - if anybody else is interested PM her (thanks for volunteering Linda)!! We should be able to spread some happiness :wizard:

Lots like DS avoided the dreaded 'pox'. Thank the LORD!!! I was pretty stressed there for a while. I have been on course the past two days so haven't been able to post much (sorry Kathy! :teacher: ). All is well here. The course was really good - Negotiation Skills - and I think I picked up a few things that could come in handy at work.

Well - I have been trying to finalize my 'Online Check-In' on the DCL site and get all my docs together - and something is wrong with their website so that when I try and update my ressie to input my passport # etc I get an error message. I called them and they weren't super helpful. The guy even said I could just fill out the stuff at the Port. HELLOOOOOO I know THAT - but I am a certified DIS board Type A spazaholic and need everything completed properly NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway - DS is calling gotta go....

I dont know I guess its "cruise fever".

My son called today, he was droping the cd off that had all my door signs on at kinko's and because MickeyMouse was on them, they would not print them...so my son is doing them at work and printing and cutting them at work and bring them home. So he brought home 3 of them and they look really good....I am sooooooo excited. 2 weeks from today will be in sunny warm flordia......Kathy....Steve.....Pat.....I'm holding you floridans to this!!!! I'm getting shorn too, Sarah, but it's a waste of time to try and color these tresses. (THat's not your natural color?! If you wouldn't a told we wouldn't a known.) Any then gotta go collect my pig poop (to leave with the tips), and mail a HUGE honking box to the resort - it just gets bigger and bigger. And then return the beautiful dress I bought because it fits funny. :( By then, I'll need a NAP. zzzzzzzzzzzz So I think I'll pack it in for the night now.

Pat, if you were as big as me, i have a dress for you! Mine's going back to day too - it didn't fit right! lol. I wear jeans to work all the time - chose my work so that I wouldn't have to dress up - and turned down the job of my dreams once because it required 'business formal dress' excuse me? Hose and heels every DAY? NO WAY JOSE!

Glad you got some sleep, Lynn - happy shopping!

Off to do errands, haircut, ship box, return dress, acquire "pig poop", deliver book . . .

I'm happy that your all getting your docs...none here yet :sad2: I would love to do the doc dance, well maybe Monday. Lauri why are they sending yours seperate? That just seems a little weird.

So where the heck is Kathy this morning? We all beat her to the boards..... Kathy your slacking....do we need to crack the whip? :teeth:

I have some running today. Goin to Menards the stopper in my bathroom sink broke......isnt that just special? So a little side job before the trip.

Cold and windy here today.....cant wait to get into some of that nice warm Florida and Caribbean weather. Only problem with that, then we have to come back to this cold miserable weather afterwards......hmmmmm, note to self....tell dreamboat that we need to move to warmer climate.... ;)

Good Morning all.
Your right Kathy, I should post a couple this weekend, and I shall. My AP US teacher, Mr. Martelli, has weened us out of using our outline (what kept me from posting here) for quizes. Oh boy :sad2: .

My cousins are coming with us on the cruise, as you might already know. My one cousin, while I was at their house getting haircuts (my aunt is a hairdresser, and a good one), asked me many questions about the cruise, for he'd never been there. My mom (J&C's Mom, but you probably know that too) claims that I was boring him to death. Not True! He is so siked about this trip, he loves the fact that all of the food is free. My other cousin, sister of cousin #1, like soft drinks apparently, so you might see her loitering around the soda taps.

Well, I'm gonna start my heavenly day of no AP US outlining :cloud9: !

Good Morning All:

Its a chilly 34 degrees in MO. The dog got me up at 630, so what a better opportunity to get up and on the treadmill. DH is still snoring in bed and I've already got my day half over.

No DOCs here. They always deliver to the office, so I will have to wait for Monday.

Linda I agree with you about the wearing jeans to work thing. I have worked in law office's all my adult life and the office that I currently work in just wants me to have clothes on. I wear jeans, t-shirts, etc. Now I will dress up but of my own accord.

Have a great day. Kathy I know your up I got your PM. I bet she's off to the World today. Kiss Mickey for me and tell him I will see him in a couple days.

Good morning Banana Heads

It started out at 60 degrees when I got up and let Guido out at 7 a.m., now it's slipping and will continue to do so all day until we get to 44 by dinner (aka supper). That's OK, just makes us want to get on the ship even faster.

Golly, no comment on my "size doesn't matter" post? Cheri? Wendy? Linda? You're all slipping :lmao:

Going down to Amish country for a few hours, then pick up my gown at the alterations place ... will catch up with all of you later.

However, the funny thing is, he looked at them and he didnt even notice the word.....but I am happy I caught it now than after they were hung on my door  how embarssing would that be!!!

My wife and I will be going to see the TransSiberian Orchestra on December 20th....we have heard there music and had the opportunity to buy tickets for the show....and I would imagine that since it is around the season of love it will be some show.....
Tom: The concert was 2.5 hours of awesome emotion! The first half of the show is the rock opera that goes along with the Christmas in Sarajevo music, and then I will just let you be surprised by the last half of the show! As I said earlier, it is the BEST concert/show I have ever seen. The light show is fantastic. Okay, I will shut up now! :dance3:

I went to a "girl's night out" last night, my first in like 8 years. When I got home, my DS was asleep on my side of the bed, and his luggage was all stuffed next to him on the floor. My DH said he wanted to pack to "help Mom", so I peeked at what he packed.

Let's see my son's packing list:

Chess pieces
48 plastic dinosaurs
1 HUGE dance trophy
2 pairs of underwear
3 dirty tshirts
3 stuffed animals
1 pair of sunglasses

I think he's on the right track :goodvibes

Here's hoping your packing goes as well as my son's.

yah, yah...working on the tour...yada yada yada.... :p

I do scrapbooking, probably, 3x a year...but when I do it...I get about 8-10 pages done! For me to take out all the paraphenalia that goes along with scrapbooking....I really have to keep it out and do what I need to do. And my girlfriend and I go on a three day scrapping only (ie...no kids or dhs) weekend in February! That...is fun.
My Mount Everest of a goal is to come home from the cruise and throw a book together online to have books made for Christmas for everyone that was on the cruise with us...along with a DVD...I know...I am insane.

We shouldn't need valium ON the cruise, gang! IT's getting READY for the cruise that frays the nerves. And will I EVER get the last thing bought?

Now, i'm off to print address labels, tip envelopes, and uh, assemble a scrapbook.

OH - CRuise scrapbooks - Ive done books - after all three cruises i've been on - each one in two weeks or less. It's one of the easiest things you'll ever scrap. Here's the plan.

1. Cruise is a finite event with a known order of play (the itinerary)
2. I picked a colorscheme and bought enough cardstock, coordinating paper and embellishments for the whole book at once.
3. Don't have a die cut, so I print my title letters using word art in powerpoint, and hand cut them. I used the same font throughout, and print on the right side of the paper, then cut outside the line. Presto, the letters are preoutlined.
4. Irregardless of what cruise or size album, a cruise will pretty much have the same pages in some order or other.
a. title page
b. at port
c. welcome aboard
d. Our cabin
e. destination spreads - about the ports, excursions, etc.
f. shows and games

Wow, Lindababe, that is good! I am going to have to use that too.

I notice on the cruise ship schedule that we are scheduled to dock at Anchorage in St. Thomas. Does anyone know where that is in relationship to Havensight? Is it close?
On this same cruise last year, we docked at Crown Bay, and we did not like that at all. We are hoping that Anchorage will be better than Crown Bay was.

Well shopping was a total bust! I'm just going to wear the dress that is a wee bit too large for me. Do we stay seated all evening? :confused3
We traveled half way across FL to find something for me to wear. I'm like a tweenager - I'm between styles and sizes. I don't want to give in and dress my age (I'm not a quiter :goodvibes ) but I don't want to act like some of those ladies I saw at the mall today either! There were a lot of women in denial. Am I the only one who suffers from shopping-for-self-anxiety?

Lynn - I'm not teaching anymore. It wasn't a very easy transition for Cullen. Laura is in the stranger danger stage so she didn't handle it too well either. It was very stressful for everyone involved. We'll try it again when Cullen is a bit older.
Cullen is still under the weather. He still has a low grade fever and not eating much. Laura still has her cold and sounds raspy when she breathes. She still continues to her happy little self. She is such a happy little thing.
Thanks for asking. Loved your picture of Drew. He's so cute. I bet his grandma loves him ;)

Jeff - what great pictures. Emily reminds me of our dd when she was in dance classes! In fact, we have a picture of her with the same smile as your Emily! We have been through all the little girl stuff...ballet, tap, clogging, gymnastics, violin lessons, piano lessons. I miss those days. Enjoy them they go so fast. Before you know it you'll be singing "Butterfly Kisses"

Hi Kathy! :wave2:

Well, going to go make supper or go out to dinner. Not too sure what I want tonight. Oh yes I do...a dress that fits! So, that gives me two options to choose from. Eat more so the wee bit bigger fits, or have a piece of celery so the hips are no more!
Good evening all.

Pat,
Actually you have the perfect dress. Eat all you want on the cruise and save that dress for the last few nights when it will fit perfectly. :cloud9:

Better that than the other way around, if it were a perfect fit you would worry about eating too much and not being able to fit in it by the end of the cruise. :sad2:
You've got it made!!! :thumbsup2

night all,
Kathy

Kelly,

My son's name is Patrick, he'll be 8 in February so they are very close in age. I'm going to try to get him into the Lab, although he's scheduled to be in the Club. What is your son "in to"? Patrick likes Pokeman, Yugioh and Dancing.

Linda, you ROCK, now if I could have enough discipline to implement your fantastic outline. Ah well....here's to hoping relaxation brings about creativity!

I was hoping someone would ask that question! I know the site was posted early on but I didn't copy it down.
Thanks for asking! :thumbsup2

Linda - I'm totally impressed! I have a scrapbook that must be, let me see, at least 5 or 6 years old and it has two pages completed in it. :guilty: I love your outline and I'm feeling motivated. It's the creative portion of scrapbooking that intimidates me.

Oh, PattyGirl, I'm not creative! :rotfl: I scrapbook like an engineer, and put the rest in photoalbums or in photoshows on my computer. I'll bring one of my books - you'll see!

It's been a long day. Kathy, I'm going to bed now and hopefully there will be no middle of the night posting!!!!

Michelle, anchorage is not a town. It means that the Magic will be anchored in the bay, and not at one of the docks. We will have to tender in to the island. I am pretty confident that we will be tendering into Charlotte Amalie, which is the main shopping are in St. Thomas.

Tom, you will probably see Greg doing the same thing as you on deck 4. He has the tradition of sitting there watching the ocean and cat napping everyday for awhile. Not me, I may sit for 15 minutes sometime, but I am off to do what ever I can find to do while on board.

Goona be another nice day here, I hope mother nature saves some of this sunshine for the 25th.

College football fans -- pretty wild week this week, huh? Shell, Bill: What's the line on the Ohio State / Michigan game this Saturday?????

OK -- weird cruise dream time: I had a dream we all went up to Michigan to visit Jan & Dave at their huge mansion on the Friday before the cruise!!!! We also took their big yacht out on a river for a while! Jd, yes the magnetic paper goes through the printer. It works best on the printers where the paper goes straight through - that is - that you load in the back and it comes out the front. I haven't tried it yet on my hp desk jet where it loads in the front and comes out the front. You print on the white side. test print on plaine paper first - those magnetic papers are expensive!

Ok, Jeff....I'm a graphic artist too. You have two options. You can buy adhesive backed paper from Staples or other office supply stores (Avery is the brand, I believe, but any adhesive backed paper will do....). If you've ever purchased name tags for conventions, this is the same stuff only on a computer friendly letter size. The other option is getting regular printer paper and a spray adhesive like 3m super 88. This is a sticky, messy creppy way of doing it so opt for door #1. All said and done...just squeegee the printed piece onto your magnet face. I'm kinda lucky--I have access to a large format printer with adhesive backed vinyl and a large laminator... I do that sort of thing every day so its a lil easier for me.

Anyways...hope I helped ya out...

Da (non-singing) Mutt

Thanks. I had a lucid moment just before DW went out shopping and said "maybe we should buy adhesive paper like nametag paper but one big sheet and attach it" so I appeciate your confirming this and now I really feel like an idiot for asking! :rotfl:

Okay, I have a question (as I procrastinate sewing my costumes)

Why is Dreamboat Wally called "Dreamboat Wally"

Is he a Dreamboat? :confused3 Is his name really Wally? :confused3 Does he Dream about the Boat? :confused3

These are the questions that plague me. Explain the origin for me please. :rotfl:

Kelly,

My son's name is Patrick, he'll be 8 in February so they are very close in age. I'm going to try to get him into the Lab, although he's scheduled to be in the Club. What is your son "in to"? Patrick likes Pokeman, Yugioh and Dancing.

Lauri

Lauri -

John loves Star Wars, music (dancing) and karate. He is thinking he wants to stay in the club. Last May (2005) when we cruised he was in the club and really liked it. We told him he could decide...if he feels the kids in the club are too young then we will move him up since it's only a month until he turns 8. Are you guys going to the "meet" at 2:45 at The Promenade? We can get the boys together then.

Denise, I'm doing crockpot dinner too. I found the easiest recipe this morning for pork chops in the crock. Brown the chops, put in the crockpot, cover with 1 box prepared pork flavored stuffing, and top that with 1 can of applie pie filling. It sounds weird, but oh wow ... the house smells good!

Hi Everyone!

We just got back from Church and our after Church lunch with our friends...Taco Bell of all places.

Here's a question for everyone to put their 2 cents in. For those of you who have cruised before...what would you say are your absolute "Must Haves" when cruising? Now I am being serious here..I thought maybe this would be helpful to those who haven't cruised....and those of us (The Gallagher's) who seemed to have misplaced their list from the last cruise. So besides Tiaras...what else would you not leave home without for a cruise?

For me...absolutely a must is the over the door shoe hangar for the bathroom door. I LOVED having that on our last cruise.

Next.......

Just some advice. When we cruised last August DD who was nearly 8 chose to stay in club because she doesn't like being the youngest anywhere. Well it proved to be a mistake because she felt like everything was a bit too young for her there and mostly enjoyed her time in the lab when they had the club kids go in there. What she hated the most was time when they sat round and either told stories or sang (oh the horrors). :rotfl:

Hey everyone....
I'm still living vicariously off of other peoples boards as well....I came upon this post on the board of our dear Nov. 18th friends...

Its the list of movies that will be shown on their cruise....I'm imagining that its going to be very similar to our selections:

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Cars
The Prestige
The Guardian
Santa Clause 3
Chicken Little
Eight Below
Narnia
Shaggy Dog
The Wild
Stick It
Step Up
Invincible

Its just terrible of me being such a nosey mutt but hey, any info I can get for OUR family  ....I'm going to!!
Enjoy!~

Okay You  Dreamgirls :listen: I will get up and sing, but due to the fact :moped: I ride, I have a rep to protect, I will sing with Bob, and anybody else that will not don a tiara. Okay there is a statement that I made in this little post that was in a movie. The lucky lady that gets the right answer, will get a hug from me on the day we board ship. DREAM BOAT WALLY

OK Dreamboat, are you referring to the "I have a rep to protect" quote? The only movie I can think of is Adrian Zmed in "Grease 2." That seems pretty obscure so I'm sure I don't have the right movie. . . :confused3

Also have to clean up the basement and move DD's art area so DH can set up the Bowflex. -- Looks like I won't have enough time to get into "the best shape of my life" before the cruise. :rolleyes1

Thanks mutt for the site! Much appreciated.

Kelly - great question about must haves. The answers will really help us out. Kathy has been my cruise mentor for the past couple of months and I feel I have somewhat of a handle on this packing thing due to her suggestions. Any extra ideas will help us out.

Just what do you put on your door signs? I was thinking of our names and our hometown location. Is that correct?

When do the men sing? Where does this all happen? Wow, Stephen has a beautiful voice. You should insist he join the group!

Lynn - Don't over do the gifts for Drew. At his age he won't have a clue as to what is going on. The only thing they enjoy playing with is the empty box. Do you have the baby einstein videos for Drew? Cullen and Laura both love them. Laura's favorite it Baby Monet. I noticed you wrote something about the Elmo videos.

Stacey, who is 9, will be going to the Lab. Will she enjoy that?

Thanks Jeff. I was telling my DH(Don) what you said and he feels that our DS should move up into the Lab as well. He will be 8 in December and I think the kids in the Club will probably be too young for him. We'll see if we can convince him of that.

Have a good afternoon  Pat

Pat - We'll have to get Stacey and my DD Elizabeth (8) together at the meet so that they can "know" each other before they hit the lab at all. With my DD that makes ALL the difference as to whether she has fun or just tolerates being there. She didn't make a friend on the last cruise until her last day (that seems to happen on our vacations all the time) and then was sad it was over. So this time, I'm bound and determined to see that she has opportunities to meet kids on days one and two so that she has friends throughout the week. It's funny because she comes off as shy at first..but get her going... Her teachers (both 1st grade and 2nd) have said she is the most social kid in her class and one of the few who literally gets along with everyone. She's honestly just a sweet little girl (unless she turns on the drama meter for her mom and me).

Hi Everyone,

I fear I am in Kathy's bad books - sorry....I will try to make up for it.

Sounds like Tiara Bob and the Dreamboats is a go! Love it! :cheer2:

Glad to hear everyone (OK, not you Bob) is stressing as much as I am about getting everything together! I've put most of my and DSs stuff in the spare room and add to the pile as I think of things. DH is another matter. As long as he puts his semi-formal outfit with our stuff I will be happy. He can throw all his other stuff in whenever he wants. We rented a tux for him so I don't have to worry about that! He does still need to pick up his pirate outfit from the costume store. Mine still has to come from the lady on ebay - and it is giving me a bit of indigestion. If it does not arrive in time I am going to be severly ticked. I let her know in plenty of time when I needed it so fingers crossed!

Picked up a few cute t-shirts for DS from the Disney store today. With it being fall/winter up here it is easy to get the summer-type stuff on sale. At least for kids. For me, I am hoping to pick up a few things when we get down to Orlando. I am going to start my list of things to do after we arrive but before the cruise next, as my 'before we leave' stuff is almost done. I actually have the day off tomorrow so am hoping to finish up most of the outstanding stuff.

I got the pillowcase and fabric markers for DS's pillowcase. This is the first time I have done this but liked the pics others have posted. I need to find a place around here that can embroider his name on the case - a job for tomorrow. I'll then put the whole thing in a zip lok with the markers and some cardboard and hope for the best! I am also getting my pedi tomorrow and got my hair cut on Saturday - so a few more things off the list!

Hope everyone has a good night!

Gotta run - will try and post tomorrow.

Jeff - Stacey is NOT shy at all. She is very outgoing and a take charge kind of gal. I'm sure she and Elizabeth will get along just fine. I'm going to see Stacey in the a.m. and I'll tell her I found her a friend for the cruise! She'll be very happy about that. That should put me on the favorite grandma list! Does Elizabeth use the computer? If so, maybe I can get Stacey to e mail her and they can get to "meet" one another before hand.

Lynn - I hope you didn't think I was being a smart mouth about the gifts for Drew. I was simply sharing some experienced info with you. As far as baby einstein videos, Cullen watched them from day one. Laura took to them slowly. There are a few she just can't get into. Our dd's stepson doesn't like them at all. Cullen's favorite character is Elmo. He has all kinds of Elmo items here as well as at his house. He just doesn't watch the Elmo videos for some reason. Right now he's into Mickey Mouse Club House! He LOVES that show. I'm looking forward to the video coming out. Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot diggity Dog!
