Ugh! So far today, we've had:
1. Thunder
2. Hard rain
3. Wet sleet
4. Lightning
5. Intermittent sun
6. Hard, pellet-like sleet
7. Fragmented blue skies
8. Wind gusts up to 50 mph
9. Light rain

You think YOU'RE ready for a cruise? Ha! Stand in line! :rotfl2:

Shell
Love your description. We have had ALL of that as well. I got soaked twice but also had enough sunshine time to trim some shrubs in the yard...but then just as I was finishing up another deluge came. ugh. jeff

Thanks to all for the warm invite to post on the board. I have been lurking and I am not ashamed to say I am alittle overwelmed with the number of pages this thread has!

My dh, Kirby, DDs Riley (5) and Kyra (2) will be sailing with you all one month from now! We cannot wait. It is our first EVER cruise. So the excitement is building daily! I have not started packing...but have devoted an entire room to all the "stuff" we have purchased to bring with us!

We are cruising with our family...my sister and her dd, my mother, my brother and friend, my aunt and uncle and their two children (6 and 3) her MIL and two more of my Aunts. It is sure to be a lot of fun...and we are all in a row of rooms with my Aunt being in the Roy Suite!

Can't wait to meet you all.

Welcome BelievesinFaries, (I didn't catch your real name)

This is our families first cruise as well. It sounds like you have a big group so that should be fun. I have done no packing or buying at all. I would also like to make some signs for our room doors, but haven't started that either. We have been doing a lot of work on our house though, and that has kept me very busy.

We did book a room at Downtown Disney at the Buena Vista Spa for the night after we disembark. My husband thought I was crazy when I first suggested the one day DW trip on Saturday. Now I think he's more excited than I was. I just hope it's decent weather. Now I have to figure out a good price on one day tickets. We are pretty sure we will go to the Magic Kingdom. The kids will like it more, and my son who is 3 months shy of turning 5 is not even close to 40 inches to ride Soarin. He would be so mad if we rode something and he didn't get too. We are now going to have to try to keep this side trip a secret. I'm a big blabber mouth so it probably won't happen. :teeth:

Hi there...I am Laurie. I should add that to my signature I guess!
We are staying two nights at the Radisson before the cruise and three nights at the Polynesian after. We're probably going to just do MK and we'll go to Crystal Palace to meet Pooh on Monday. We'll lounge around the pools or go check out Christmas Decorations...and Saturday night we have ressies for Mickey's Barbeque at Fort Wilderness. We talked about Sunday doing Animal Kingdom...but I don't want to be too busy. But, that is just with our family...so we have some time with just us.

I would love to make my door signs too! I just haven't had the creative streak yet.
I can relate with the secret stuff...I talk about the cruise almost everyday! I am worse than the kids! LOL

Hi all !!!

I am Wally, Denise's husband. I cannot wait to meet all of you. She has told me how much of a fun group of people you are on this site. I liked the green t-shirt idea. This cruise will be my first, and hopefully not my last. I really don't know what else to write, except for see you all in about four weeks. This is Denise's site, so I will sign off for now. My e-mail is Suds0805@comcast.net . Take Care and have a Great weekend!

P.S. don't forget about the time change....fall back.

Wally, a.k.a. Denise's better half. :-)

Good morning to all,

:welcome: Laurie,
boy you are a BIG group. :thumbsup2
we do have a cruise meet the first day at 2:45 on the Promenade lounge for all the families. :goodvibes Please come and say hello, bring everyone!!!
Also some adults are meeting at 1:01 ar Signals bar to say hello.
We live in Florida, not too far from WDW but we decided to spend Friday night at the Radisson too. Maybe we will see you, I cant miss a big group like you. :grouphug:

Ask Shell send you the cruise meets list and you can see our picture so maybe you will recognise us. Lots of us have pictures posted on the list.
No kids with us this time, just 4 adults.

Wally,
It was great to hear from you!! We are very excited to meet you guys too. It wont be long now. Glad you dropped by to say hello. :wave2: Of course now we expect you to stop by and say hello a little more often!!! We dont bite, well Mutt bites, :rolleyes1 but the rest of us wont bite.

Well it is only in the mid 40's this morning, so guess I will have to put on long pants to take Minnie for her walk this morning.

well time to check my mail so will check back later with everyone,

Kathy

Laurie,
You dont have to be creative to mqke door signs, I am NOT creative at all, but I do it everytime. Ask the kids to help, they can be really creative too.

here is what I do.
Go to wal mart and buy some magnetic sheets of paper, you fins them in the stationary sections with the computer paper. They are in a red package.
Then check out some tropical or disney themed stickers in a craft or scrapbooking store. Most card departments have them too. I like Michaels or JoAnne's or scrapbooking store for stickers. yiuc an get about anything you can think of.
Then simple arrange the stickers on the page, add some letter stickers to it and your done.
Words could say some thing as simple as Disney Magic 11/25/06 or
Making Magical memories, When you wish upon a star anything can happen, we're cruisin with the Mouse. we be crusin with pirates, just anything that goes along with the stickers you placed on the sign.

One thing that makes it extra easy, I cut out the stickers from the sheet, leaving the back on them so they WONT stick yet, then I rearrange them around the page until I get them the way I like the best, then remove the backing and stick them.

Have fun with it, there is NO right or wrong, just do what you feel and it will be great!!!
Now I expect to see a sign on your door, :thumbsup2 I will ask you for your room number when we meet so i can check it out :rolleyes1 , maybe you should have one on each door from the Roy suite on down since your all in a row, then I can find you easily even without an exact room number. Yep, now I expect to see a row of signs there :woohoo: Better get busy Laurie. :lmao:

Good Morning All    ,
Well with the clocks back what is usually 5:30am was 4:30am that Ds was up :sad2: :sad2: !! DH got up with him and I was able to go back to sleep!! It was windy today!! DH went to a Baseball Cards Show with his Dad and I am home with DS. I wrapped my regional gift and put in my carry-on diaper bag so I would not forget it!! No exciting plans for today. I am going to TRY to relax. Well I am off to look for an Elmo Christmas DVD on ebay for DS. Talk to you later!!

Question: Can I bring a Hot Iron on board??? Will it fit in the outlets because my blow-dryer did not on 1st cruise??

I really have to start my door sign!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

:welcome: :welcome: Laurie and Family!!! My name is Lynn. I am traveling with DH and DS ( 7 months). It is great to have you aboard!! :sail:

Good Morning, All!

Welcome Laurie and Family and extended family and all! Those are great rooms - but be prepared to feel the boat motion up there. I had the next room to the Roy on my first cruise and my head wouldn't stop rockin'. lol.

Hi Wallie - nice to see you too!

Today, I *WILL* go and do the shopping I didn't get to yesterday. and start packing . . . because we'll be gone two weeks, not one. Including thanksgiving. In a villa. What was I thinking?

Happy Day!

Just a quick good morning all. I really enjoyed the extra hour of sleep last night after a long day at the football game. But, Ga. Tech defeated Miami, so that is all that counts!

Talk to you more soon!

Laurie: Glad to have your family aboard with this group. We are a chatty group, but mostly harmless. You need to watch out for WooGal, though....she can be trouble!

Good morning Banana Heads

:welcome: Laurie and family!!! Here's a little advise just between you and me ... don't believe anything that TiggerKing says. His judgement is clouded by grits and red-eye gravy :lmao: .

I was SO excited to wake up this morning and see that Dream Boat Wally posted :woohoo: !! Hi Wally!!

On tap today ... house cleaning, cruise organizational stuff (hey Wendy ... I'm updating my spreadsheet with a bunch of new stuff! Are you jealous? :rotfl: ), pick up my gown from the cleaners, and pack for my southwest trip. Hey, at least it will be 85 in Phoenix tomorrow! :woohoo:

Catch up with you later.

:sunny: Morning all fellow nanna heads: Boy that extra hour of sleep was fantastic....I feel great, but now I ache everywhere...(ya know, old age) :rotfl2:

Welcome Laurie and family: Glad to have you with us.....the more the marrier
I am traveling with a semi-large party. 9 in all...my DH & myself, my sister and her hubby, their eldest daughter and her DH and their 3 kids ages 14,10 and 5. So I think that your kids are going to have a lot of new friends. This is our DH & mine first cruise also and am looking soooo forward to this. I think we are going to have a blast, traveling with all these wonderful DIS-board people is going to make it that more MAGICal.... :) We are a little  but very harmless.

Well I decided to pull out my bread machine, havent used it in a few years and make some bread, so I have that in the process now. Then my DS and I are going to trim some bushes out front and then I think I will start to iron some clothes for the trip. Now that I finally have gotten Wally motivated, I can start getting some things done regarding packing and organizing.

So Shell: I told you, he would probably surprise me...I happended to wake up early this morning and there he is on the computer asking me how to get into the boards... :) So I showed him that went back to bed....I do however have on correction on something he said...I am his better half......he's just along for the ride. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Kathy: you really need to tell that Florida weather to stay warm in the AM's until we get back from the cruise. If I want 40 degree weather, I would stay home!!! :teeth: NOT!!!!! :smooth: just kidding.....

Will be back later

Good Morning to you all.
Hey Kathy - how's the cool air feel? And yes, we had some storms blow through too. I'm sorry you couldn't find any parking at Mt. Dora. You missed a great craft fair. They do pull in a large crowd. I should have gone with you to show you where to park. We have to walk a wee bit, but it's not too bad. Maybe next year.

Went to Orlando yesterday and got dh a coat for formal night. Now we are going to look for pants. This is getting to be a big chore for us. The great news is - I found my regional gift. Thank goodness. Now I have to concentrate on my clothes.

Jeff - how is Emily? I hope she's doing much better. Stephen had pneumonia when he was 6 and ended up in the hospital for 5 days! It was awful. I never thought a child's temp could reach 106! It happend so fast too. He also had (has) asthma. Emily is in our thoughts.

Shell - our dog Quincy was 16 and had all the same problems your Guido has. You become so attached to animals that no matter what the cost, you'll get whatever they need done.

Have a good day everyone. I'll check back later. Going to try and find some pants to go along with the coat.

Lynn - have you given up your job yet?

Jeff - How is Emily?

We are heading to Bob and Gitta's today for a cruise meeting. Four weeks from today, we'll be at brunch in Palo.

Had a great time with my Gkids yesterday.

Howdy nanas!!!

:welcome: :welcome: Laurie & family! Glad to have you join us! I'm Cheri -- part of the PGfour -- but now we're down to three -- DH, DD5 & me. DSS is unable to come with us because of sports/school commitments. :sad2:

We just got back from our little overnight trip to Milwaukee. We did some shopping (bought DD some sandals for the cruise :thumbsup2 ), went to see a movie at the IMAX theater, and went for lunch at a place called The Safe House. It's got a spy theme. The entrance is in an alley and the sign says it's an import/export place. You step into a hallway then into a small room. You pull a secret lever and the wall with bookcase & fireplace opens. (The kids thought Bill was nuts to be going into this place!) You then proceed up some stairs and find your way into the restaurant. The whole place is full of little secret passages, pay phones with sound effects, etc. I think Jessalyn was a little freaked out at first, but wanted to go back again this morning.

It's such an easy drive; 70 minutes door-to-door -- and NO toll booths! We should probably get up there more often.

Shell, glad to hear Guido is doing well! 31 DCL drinks, though. . . :sad2: I know what you mean about those vet bills. I take our two cats in separately just so I can spread out the expenses of their vaccines, flea shots, etc.

Our weather is a bit better today. Yesterday it was VERY windy! Only four more weeks. . .

Better get some housework taken care of. Later we're heading over to DH's sister's for treat-or-treating. DD will be dressed as: (you guessed it!) a princess. princess: princess:

Talk to you later!

Thanks to all for the kind thoughts. She is doing much better today. She had pneumonia about 2 weeks ago and now they think that maybe asthmsa is lurking :sad2: but she does well with the nebulizer. WE are now goign to look for a travel version which a friend has.

Off to (yet another) 8 year old's birthday party today with DD8...

My true sports love started yesterday with fanfest - Pitt basketball. The team is ranked top five pre-season and so we are all anticipating a fun year.

Hi everyone,
well we just got back from watching the weirdest, strangest movie I have seen in years!!!!
My DS said he thought it was good so we went today to see The Prestige.
It is a very strange movie with an odd ending???That's all I can say about it.

Pat, next year I will have you show me the way to the craft fair.
e-mail me about your gift, I shared mine with you since we cant receive gifts from each other.

Tonya: Do you want me to send you a check for the shirts?? PM with your address and I will put it in the mail.

Linda: Have fun Shopping- My favorite thing to do :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc !

JD99: Glad DD is feeling better!!

Afternoon all....well I got some things done and ready for the cruise. :cheer2: I ironed some outfits and am washing others. Got a few things packed in one of the luggages...at least I feel more organized.

Actually today is a beautiful day here. Sun is out and its probably in the mid 50's. DS and I went out and trimmed some of our front bushes. They were really getting wild looking, but much better now. After this I'm going and starting to make my stuffing. Yummy.

My sister Marge is doing better, she is still in the hospital but they are getting her medication leveled out and hopefully she should be discharged in the next day or so.

............GO CHICAGO BEARS!!!!!!............

looks like were winning another one...... :cheer2: :cheer2:

Wendy: Wally would like to know what songs are being sung? He is requesting something by Elvis or Tony Orlando and Dawn :confused3 dont ask.....he's stuck in the 70's... :) Plus he cant sing worth a darn....so all I can say to you lovely ladies........BEWARE!!!! :rotfl:

Hi Banana Heads

Lynn, I don't believe that they will allow wrapped gifts through security at the airport. If you wrapped your regional gift, they'll probably make you rip it open for inspection. I think I'm going to take wrapping paper with me and wrap ours once we get to FLA.

Denise, I was hoping that Wally would belt out some Abba for us! :lmao:

Wendy, I e-mailed you my spreadsheet. You're going to be soooooooo jealous! :rotfl2:

I have another suggestion that you may want to put on your to-do list. Make out address labels or business cards so that we can hand them out to keep in touch after the cruise.

OK, going to look at a house. Don't know why ... just aching to move, I guess! Want to make sure all our banana friends have a nice place to stay when they visit Ohio (hint: come in the summer. Trust me :rotfl2: )

Hi there! I am soo excited. It will be fun to meet everyone.

Hi Kathy! :flower: It is only dh and the kids and I at the Radisson before the cruise...mom and everyone are coming in Saturday. We hope to be out by the pool on Friday. I don't know how warm it will be...that time of year is always so unpredictable, but I am sure the kids will swim no matter what.
I would love to be part of the cruise meets. I made a note of times and locations and will surely tell everyone in our group!

Hi Lynn! :sunny: I here you about the time change. I was just happy to have my hour back that was stolen from me in the Spring!

Hi Linda! :wave2: Ack...don't say that! I am so worried about seasickness. I definitely need to start packing too!

Hi Bob...aka TiggerKing! :teeth: Thank you for the welcome!

Hi Shell! :wave2: I am definitely interested in being on the cruisemeets list. Just tell me what I have to do!

Hi Denise! :yay: I think it is fun to meet everyone! I really hope my five year old likes the kids club. I have a 2.5 year old that will feel left out, but hopefully between Flounders and quality mom and dad time...she'll be fine. My sister has a 2 year old too...and our rooms are adjoining...so only one of us has to be in the room for naptime.

Hi Pat! :rotfl: unfortunately...my aunt and her hubby live in Florida. They went on this cruise last year...in the same room my sister is in...and for her second cruise they upgraded. They also have four adults and two kids in that room though! I am happy just to be related to them! ;)

Hi Jan!

Hi Wendy! :goodvibes We have a Wendy in our group too! And I may be able to arrange a private tour of the room for you...

Hi Cheri! :wave2: My dd, also 5, will be happy to play with your dd! She loves princesses too...although she is going to be a witch for halloween. That spy place seems really cool. They don't have anything like that here.

I still don't feel sorry for them - that suite has three bedrooms, I think. Plenty of room to spread out ;) I'd like to get a number for that tour, too, please.

Shopping wasn't as much fun as i'd hoped. I bought my regional gift (made in Canada) and dh bought a pair of new trousers. Then we ran out of energy and came home for lunch and a nap.

It's already getting dark and still very windy. Good thing it isn't any colder or it would snow.

Count me as another asthmatic- what a nuisance - but sea air is GOOD! I got the pneumonia shot a few years ago and winters have been much better since. I don't know if they give it to children though.

I'm dreading tomorrow - Monday and doc appointment in the afternoon - you girls will know what I mean. :sad2:

Hi all, Just thought I would check in. It's been a busy day today. We went to church, then to lunch with some friends. That took a while. We also stopped in to visit my uncle in the hospital. It's good to get home. Its already dark out and it seems later than it is. It always takes a while to adjust to the time change.

Welcome Laurie and family. :welcome: :welcome: I am traveling with DH, 2 DDS ages 7 and 10 and my aunt. How exciting to have family in the Roy suite. I will have to take a # for that tour too :bitelip: Looking forward to meeting you and your family.

Jeff I am glad your DD is doing better.

Jan How did your meeting go with your friends? I am glad you had a nice visit with your gk.

Kathy I think I will try to make some door signs. Thanks for the ideas.

Linda I was reading the 1st page of this post. You were on the same cruise we were in 2004. That is when we booked for this trip to.

Have a good night everyone.

Laurie - What part of FL does your Aunt live in? We are in FL, along with Kathy and her family! Wonder if she lives close to us. Kathy and I found out that we are very close. We were so close that we actually met each other already!
:listen: what was that? The meet has been changed to the Roy O suite! :rotfl2: :cheer2:
You do know we are just having fun don't you...my dh said we don't want to scare you off - heck that might blow all of our chances to even peek in the door!

Lynn - I tried to quit my job on Friday but our director wasn't in! :sad2: I feel bad about leaving. We'll give it a try when Cullen is 3. He's just too young to handle the change right now.

Kathy - I'm going to e mail you the info on my gift tomorrow. I'm ready for bed. This time change has made me very tired! I hate that it gets dark at 6:00!

Shell - how is the doggie?

Jeff - Glad to hear that Emily is doing better. How was the party? You're a great dad! :thumbsup2

anybody here reading the post on the forum by Ty Pennington.
I didnt even know who he was. He says there is a surprize coming soon to the dis boards. over the course of many pages there are also posts by Paula Abdul, Oprah, Ellen Degeneress,Some blonde from american idol, last name is pickler, dont remember her first name, plus a few more celebraties. it is growing by the hour. Even the Tag fairy has been posting.

Disney is up to something, they wont say what or when they will announce it. I think it is probably something to do with their year of a million dreams.

Just curious if anybody here has been reading the posts and what do you think???

Good evening all!

Just got back from trick-or-treating about a half hour ago. DD was Sleeping Beauty (I guess). I didn't buy her a "real" Disney princess dress, but found her a floor-length pink "velvet" gown. This one was actually nicer than the Disney dresses they had at Marshalls. I'd love to check out the gowns they have on November 1 at The Disney Store! Some of them were quite fancy!

Not much else going on today. Go Bears! (I can be a Bears fan until the Raiders decide to be good.)

Shell, Wendy: I may need to see this infamous spreadsheet. . . :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We should probably make sure we're all on the same page! :teeth:

Laurie -- hopefully our girls will hit it off. My DD is quite outgoing and talkative. Hopefully she won't scare your DD away! :rotfl:

We are a chatty, crazy bunch but we are also a lot of fun.
We have a family meet the first day in the Promenade lounge at 2:45, I hope you and your family will come.
also some of the adults are meeting at 1:01 the first day at signals bar.
we will be easy to spot the first day because a bunch of us have matching lime green shirts we will be wearing, if you see one of us, step up and say hello!!! :wave2:

well I was up at 3 a.m. just doing nothing but sitting here. I hate those nights when you cant sleep all night. :guilty:
Cheri,
I havnt a clue to what is going on either. They have posted on my thread about the entertainment too and on other parts of this forum. Too many posts to be a hoax I think. I still think it has to do with the year of a million dreams celebration that Disney is doing. I will keep an eye out to see what happens with it.
Bob is always up on things, maybe he will give us his opinion on the subject. :confused3

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

One gift per family, $10 limit. If you bring a gift we are suggesting an ornament or a regional gift from your state. :goodvibes

Good morning everyone!!

:welcome: to all of our new families!! I am Sarah and I am sailing with DH and DS 5yo (almost).

It is a sunny day here in Toronto, but cold. It was SO windy yesterday! I am just glad none of our trees blew over. I have been trying to slowly put some stuff downstairs for the trip and am feeling fairly organized. I am SO looking forward to this vacation!! DH is off today for Las Vegas for a business trip (lucky dog!!) so DS and I are on our own for the week. Can anyone say 'take-out' :teeth:

Had a friend of mine over for the weekend with her two boys 5yo and 2yo. We had a great time but boy was it hectic! DS did fall asleep last night without a peep though!

It is so nice to have daylight in the morning, but it is SO dark SO early. You would think after 30 years I would be used to it - but no, every year it is a pain.

I have seen the Ty and Co posts and am really looking forward to some fun announcements. I was thinking that all the stars posting are from ABC - which I think is a Disney owned channel right? Anyway, I am sure it is just a fun joke but it is still a good way to announce something....and lord knows us DISrs love a good contest!!!

Hope everyone has a great day.

It will be towards the top of the page because people are posting like crazy on it. In 2 days it has had over 13,000 hits and almost 500 posts. As you read farther into it you will see posts from different celebrities, it is alot of reading.

Survived the doc. Ultrasound on Wednesday. Thank goodness they're not giving me time to stew about it.

:thanks: to all for the well wishes for my mom :goodvibes today she was actually back to her normal self and called me her 'angel girl'-her nickname for me. This used to annoy me, but now I'm just so happy she remembers me-I don't think any of her endearing names will ever bother me again!!!

Well we are at the count down...I figured it out-I only have 12 days left for packing/planning etc. I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital and on the days I work, that is all I do :guilty: . I'm getting panicky :scared1: :scared1:

We got an automated message today from my DD-14 school-said she wasn't there today--she was!! How much more can I take??? :confused3 Have to call them in the AM.

Hi Kathy I just read this on another post.

No Steel Drum Band at the pools. We really missed the caribbean music while sitting on deck or at the pool. I don't know if they are gone or just on holiday. We couldn't seem to find an answer to that question

I know you have been wondering about the music on the magic. I do hope this is not the case when we sail. I will be bummed :sad2:

Morning to all,

Lorna,
I have read several reports now with NO steel drum band. I think they just dont have them anymore. :sad2:
They have made several (BAD) major changes lately. I have a couple of posts about this on the forum and recently several hundred people wrote and asked to keep the LIVE bands on both ships. At that time we didnt know they took away the steel band or we would of included that too.
Guess I had better write another letter to them.

I will definately fill out the comment card on the ship and ask for them to bring them back. They set the theme for the cruise with their music.
Everyone seems to like them. Plus I just read the reception for repeat cruisers has had major cutbacks too. They use to serve cocktails and punch, with many snacks like petite fours, fruits, kabobs, shrimp etc.... Now they served warmed can a pops and Mickey crunchies!!! Several people have reported that change recently.

Oh well, i will keep writing along with others in hopes things will get better.
we are still going to have an AWESOME cruise in a few days now!!!

HAPPY HALOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

Hope we get a lot of kids tonight. We didnt live here last year so I have no idea how many to expect. I love seeing the kids all dressed up, they look so cute!!! Of course here we have a lot of kids dressed in disney costumes.

well I have a couple of errands to do this morning, so I'd better go.

Gosh, Kathy! I was hoping we won't get ANY kids. (Ours is one of the neighborhoods to which people drive their children :( and I hate to keep hopping up to answer the door.

I did get a form answer to my email about the entertainment. It's so bogus. Disney is supposed to be the place where we can ESCAPE reality - I'm frugal and eat healthy in my everyday life - I SURE don't want to do either one at DISNEY!

Good Morning!!!

Linda -- we don't get kids coming to our door as we live in a condo and we are in the back 40 of it and if kids are brought by their parents, they stay in the front section. I usually treat myself to a visit at Barnes & Nobles after work on Halloween night. I need to get a book for the cruise, anyway. If I buy one tonight, I have to force myself not to start reading it before 11/24.

Okie -- Glad to hear that your mom has improved and that your daughter WAS in school yesterday.

Shell -- I forgot to mention that Dave won't wear a tiara either! I reminded him of our DIS friends who live nearby and on the 11 day Wonder Southern in September, the DIS guys wore grass skirts to the DIS meet.

Jeff-when my son was an infant he came down with RSV - can't spell out the actual medical term. It was characterized by severe coughing and asthma like symptoms - wheezing mainly. It's a virus that gets way down deep in the lungs. He was hospitalized briefly and needed to be on a nebuelizer(sp?) as well for a while. I know that children are susceptible to it until about age 2. I wonder if Emily may have something along those lines? I know she's 2 1/2..but it sounds so similar to what we went thru. The treatment is probably what you are already doing anyway but I thought maybe this info. could be helpful.

Thanks Kelly - actually DD8 had RSV when she was about 1 and I've wondered about that myself. This doesn't seem as severe however, so I will just let the docs keep duking it out until she's all better! I just hope she gets to Trick or treat tonight - if the rain can hold off - since she has been so looking forward to it. Regardless I will post a pic here of my two princesses (even though neither is being a princess this year!) - the 2 YO became freaked out when she saw the beloved Cinderella costume and decided on dalmation instead...while DD8 is too cool for the princesses (sigh, how did that happen so quickly?) and is a "rock star."

They call the Angry Cuban at work because she's all smiles and polite then when someone makes her mad, look out. As her mom used to say, she doesn't let hair grow on her tongue. That's a Cuban saying for she doesn't take crap. She yelled at her boss yesterday, if that tells you anything.

Jeff - too funny about the 8 yr old DD...my DD just turned 11 and she is a pop star diva this year. She was some sort of princess for many years. Actually last year I talked her into being an Indian Princess (AKA - Pocahontas - I got the costume on sale on-line!). I hope Emily continues to feel better. Actually, a little bit of rain might do her some good...I remember sitting outside on a rainy night with my DD when she had croup - it helped clear the passages a bit.

Had to go to DD's school this morning for her Halloween party. Then on to work, so I've been on the go all day. :car: DD went trick-or-treating on Sunday, so hopefully she won't be disappointmed when we don't go anywhere tonight. We live in the country, so probably no trick-or-treaters here tonight.

I also picked up the permission form to fill out to have DD's absence be excused. I'll get that to the school so they can start compiling all the worksheets she'll be doing when we're gone.

I talked to our T/A today because our credit (on our credit card) to cancel DSS didn't seem like very much. She said DCL sent a $250 check straight to the travel agency. :confused3 Looks like we can cash it and add it to the :drinking1 fund!!!!

I'm sitting in the Show Low, Arizona, Regional Airport right now. Don't know where Show Low is? Simply find a map, find Phoenix, go due east until you see NOTHING. That's Show Low. Travelled out to Eagar and Springerville AZ this afternoon (move finger further east into nothingness to find those 2 towns), and was shocked to realize that I actually could feel the altitude there while walking around our property! Tom, welcome aboard! This is definitely a "unique" group, shall we say. But, I think it is going to be a blast on the cruise.

If you are interested, and you have late dining, many of us have linked our reservations together to dine together. If you don't want to commit to being around this group that much, we understand.

Meets are scheduled at Signals at 1:01 on boarding day for the adults, and then 2:45 at the Promenade Lounge for everyone. We are doing a gift exchange at the 2:45 meet for those who want to participate. $10 limit with the gift being either regional or a Christmas Ornament. If you don't want to do the gift exchange, don't let that stop you from coming to the meet! :thumbsup2

Dont let the crazies scare you off, we are just a bunch of wild turkeys and dancing banana heads!!!
We have several guys posting on this thread so your not alone.
I read the above posts and looks like everyone filled you in on most stuff.
Be sure and PM woogal and she will add you to the cruise list and send you a copy of it . That way you'll learn who we all are. Many of us have pictures posted on the list too, so you'll have faces to go with names.

I didnt notice where your from. we are from Florida. Traveling by ourselves this trip. Looking forward to meeting you at the meet.

We had a great Halloween, i had 87 trick or treaters and Minnie didnt bark even once. She just sat and watched people come and go. I was so proud ofher, she did really well for a first halloween.

well it's past my bedtime, so I'll check back in the morning,

Wow...you guys are amazing....I told my wife(who never goes on the computer) about all the people on our cruise and she is just amazed that this site works the way it does....we are seasoned cruisers who will be going on our "Lucky 13th" Disney Cruise. We have cruised the last 5 years the week after Thanksgiving....although we did have one cancelled because of the health situation that year.......we did the Wonder instead.
After cruising on the 11/26 Wonder...a 3 nighter I really wasn't looking forward to another cruise so soon....but...you guys have rejuvinated me and I am now looking forward to it....so....keep those posts coming in because 5000 is right around the corner.....
Happy Halloween!

Good Morning, All!

Do you think one door sign is sufficient, or do you think it will get stolen? I paper pieced ours and it took quite a while, so i'm not looking forward to making seven of them.

Didn't get much done last night - we were in bed by 8. Guess we should b practicing to stay up on the cruise, but there's a lot less to do around here. lol

How's the little girl today, JD? And the Mom? Let's see . . . who else was ailing? I need a score card to keep everybody straight.

Happy Day, All!

I Linda,
I too have read of signs getting stolen, but I have never had that happen.
Usually they put them on other doors elsewhere, so one tip I read was to include your cabin number somewhere on it, so if soemone wakes up to a strange sign on their door they can return it to you.

One sign is fine, just some of us get carried away and make 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 etc...... Wat too much time on my hands, I know!!!

Linda - She's much better. Whomever said the rain would help was right. She woke up today and probably didn't even need the nebulizer but we are on doc's orders to continue for 2 more days. Trick or Treating was fun but WET. We live in a neighborhood where people drop their kids off to TorT because there are about 150 houses close together in our plan. DD8 had one of those mature moments when after hitting about 30 houses when she said "I have enough candy...I"m cold and wet, let's go home" Most everyone was doing it except for the older kids 12 plus - who must have hit EVERY house in the plan.

On our last cruise, one of our door signs that a DIS cruisemate made for us went missing on about the third night...which caused me to take in all but our DVC signs. Then one of those disappeared. Magically on the last night of the cruise, the missing door sign reappeared. I haven't made a sign yet but plan to do so before we go as it was helpful when we gave DD8 a bit of freedom to go back to the room by herself..or leave to go to beverage station and come back by herself..for her to find the cabin.

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm off to Sunny Florida tomorrow for a boy's weekend at the Pitt-South Florida game! :drinking1 Given the weather on its way here, it could come none too soon. DW is jealous.

I think you've been filled in on everything I can think of. We are all pretty excited about the cruise so you'll have to pardon us. We've had this booked for about a year and a half so can't wait!!!!!!! We are the Smiths - me Sarah, DH Stony and DS Dutch (almost 5yo).

Well - good Trick or Treating last night. DS enjoyed himself and we managed to get to bed before too late. Getting up this morning was a pick hard for him, but not too bad. Hopefully his day goes OK at school.

Well.....gotta get to work. Talk you all of you later!!!

Good Morning everyone :sunny:
:welcome: to the new family. We, my dh and myself, are traveling w/our son, our DIL, and our three grandkids, Stacey (9), Cullen (2), Laura (who will be 9mos. at time of departure). The only problem is...our loving son made us pay for our own trip! He'll say we should have payed for his because it was my idea to go, so watch out for him - he LIES!

Jeff - so glad to hear that Emily is doing sooooo much better. I hate to see little children suffer. The pictures of the girls are priceless! I love the smile on the dalmation!

Lynn - What cute pictures! I can't wait to meet him. I really love the expression on your sons face in all of his pictures. He's so cute.

Kathy - how about our weather! It was so hot yesterday I actually had to seek shade while the children were on the playground! I hope it stays this way for all of our northern friends.

Shell - my sister lived in Arizona for years and loved it! She wishes she was back there!

:Pinkbounc Nov. 1st :yay: Only 24 more days! Have a good day.

Good Morning All!

It looks like Tom has set the new post goal to 5,000, so keep up the good work.

Halloween was kind of disappointing last night. We only had about 12-15 TorTers, so we have a lot of leftover candy. And, I was giving out two and three pieces at a time!

Have a great day everyone!

Well its November 1st yeah!!!!! Only 24 more days..... :woohoo:

Lynn: Drew is soooo cute...what a cute little Tigger he made.. :)

Jeff: Your daughters are sooo cute too. Gald to hear Emily is better.

I really miss the times when my kids were young, but then there are time's I am sooo glad I am past that also.

Well just a few minutes to say good morning...let the countdown begin.
Actually last night I did get a little sad. I was reading someones cruise trip report. I thought gee, there trip went by sooo fast...thats what's going to happen to us. That week will fly by. Oh well.....I guess I'll just have to tell Wally to book us another cruise :cheer2:

Kathy: dont hold your breath about Wally posting anymore. Again, he may surpirse and post....but he would much rather talk then type. Oh and if by some chance he starts to tell a story about a tie a rubber band and me...its not true......none of it..... :rolleyes1

Hello Banana Heads

So much to catch up on!!!

Today I'm in Los Lunas, NM, which is just south of Albuquerque. This is in my top 5 places in the country ... love it here! Denise, if you've never been here before, you may want to retire here instead of Phoenix. The geographic layout is similar, with better weather and an easier attitude. Love it!

Linda, you think I'm crazy for doing all this, but I didn't have to deal with ONE Trick or Treater last night :rotfl2:

Jeff, that little one of your in her costume ... OMG ... too cute! What a stinker she must be!

Kathy, if you want Wally to post again, you have to ask him the right way, like this: Oh WHERE is that Dream Boat Wally? :rotfl:

Lynn, I don't think Drew thought too much of his costume! :rotfl2:

Pat and Steve, I don't know what is going on between you 2, but you really shouldn't be fighting this much over who is going to give the formaldehyde as their regional gift :lmao: (ew, gross!)

Good Evening Nana Heads!!!

I love the pics of "Tigger", "Dalmation" and "Pop Diva". They are just too cute, Lynn and Jeff.

I'm washing my summer tops tonight and hope to get all my cruise clothes ready for the suitcase in a couple of weeks.

My wall Christmas tree is up and looks great! At least I think so. Dave doesn't. Oh well, I'm the one who has to decorate. I'm not putting much up in the way of decorations. In the last few years, I have given away at least 8 boxes of decorations. I'm trying to downsize. This year, our Michigan kids and us are going to a hotel in a Detroit suburb with an indoor waterpark for our Christmas get together. No mess for any of us. Just show up and have fun.

Have a great evening everyone.

We didn't mess with trick or treaters lastnight either - we didn't turn on the light outside, and went to bed early. There are no children in this townhome neighborhood at all so there's no chance of guessing who the kidlets are.

Woo, if that's the back of beyond, how are you finding something to do there?

Any of you Florida girls have any recommendations for a safe, clean offsite motel for cheap for just me in January? I've given up on the cruise idea, but I still don't want to go back home to winter any sooner than I absolutely MUST.

I used to go up to my daughter's in Birmingham but now she's moved to Cleveland. THAT's as bad as home!!!

Well, off to finish my sign. What else was I supposed to be doing? . . oh yes, tip envelopes and thank you cards.

Hi everyone! Thanks for being relatively quiet over the past couple days!!!! :thumbsup2 It only took me about 15 minutes to catch up instead of the usual 30 if I miss more than half a day!!!

I had to get into work early this morning and then finally broke down and went grocery shopping tonight. (Bill was tired of take out! :confused3 )

:welcome: :welcome: Tom and family! I'm usually a little quicker to post, but I've been dragging these past few days. This will be the 2nd DCL cruise for DH, DD5 and me. (DH & I have been on 4 other lines, but we really love  DCL!)

Shell, glad to hear you're having a good trip! Enjoy that weather -- it's supposed to get to 20 or below tonight. :furious: I am sooooo ready for the trip!

All the Halloween pictures were great! Lynn -- DS looked like he had had enough of that costume!

I haven't even looked at the pictures I took yesterday & Sunday of DD in her gown. :sad2: :sad2: I had hoped to get to Disney Store today to look for leftover gowns, but I'll have to gamble and put it off another day.

I didn't even watch DWtS -- who got the boot tonight???

so about those door signs........for both wdw and dcl trips i have approximatly 47 slides on powerpoint to print out. a bit obsessed i guess. please note that they are technically for 4 doors (3 in wdw and 1 on the cruise) but still.

dave's family is not as obsessed with this trip as i am to wdw. weird huh b/c im going as their "guest" technically i guess. oh well. weve talked about inlaws before and weve definitly talked about non-disers so...........at least i know on the 25th ill be joining other psycho's, er i mean, nana heads who share in my love for all that is disney.

hanging out at work again. internship got me down this morning with one of my families in crisis (AGAIN!!!!!!!) so i had to deal with that all morning and then i had a session with another family and then class in the evening/ night. so im running on about 2 hours of interrupted sleep not so good. 8am cant get here fast enough.....

off to catch up on the main board (what is the deal with all the celebs and what is their big secret???)

maybe try to get some more homework done this evening, doubt it though

is anyone else leaving from a wdw resort on the 25th? just wondering what time we will get picked up by magical express bus? hope to be one of the first groups there!

Good Evening Everyone!
Well...22 days until we leave for our trip... :woohoo: and my dh and I figured out that with work...I have 5 days to pack and get all the Disney paraphenalia loaded up. :scared1: Why do I feel it is necessary to buy my kids every stinkin' disney thing I see..."for the cruise!" I will be shipping boxes...but jeesh!
Kirby and I wore our pirate costumes last night... pirate: I wasn't really aware of the decolletage of my shirt...it could be very interesting....
Thank you all for the messages and warm welcome. I think I will be posting more as a place to panic and vent without frightening my family. Because, as most moms know....Disney may create the "magic" but there is a great deal of planning and preparation behind the scenes that needs to occur on our end for the magic to truly be there!

Where's that dream boat Wally????

He needs to keep posting with us!!

We are foggy this morning, 0 visibility, luckily DH doesnt have to leave for a couple of hours for work, hopefully it will be cleared up by then.

Yesterday I got all my present wrapped that I have bought so far, accept the exchange gift for the cruise. I think I should just bring paper and wrap on board. I am afraid they wont allow a wrapped gift through security.

Well I am off to get into some kind of trouble again. I seem to do that more often, the older I get. Guess my mouth is in gear before my brain is started in the mornings sometimes :rotfl2: Or I'm getting to the age where I dont care what others think about my opinions anymore. :lmao: It does make things more fun and interesting. :chat:

We had a Snowy drive to work this morning. Blech. At home it was just raining, but once we got to the highway it was starting to change to snow.
By the time we got to work it was starting to "stick".
Oh well, it will all be gone in a couple of hours... (I hope!)

Sorry, I meant to add the story about the two birthdays.

I was always told that my birthday was 11/2, and that is when the family celebrated it. But, my BC says that I was born on 11/3. Now, I was born in the middle of the day, so this is not like a midnight mix-up. Mom and dad even argued for many years with Mom saying I was born on 11/2 and dad saying "You had so many drugs in your for pain you didn't know what day it was, it was 11/3!" So, when I was about 25, dad was going through some old military papers and we happened to find the tag that hung on the end of the crib in the hospital, and it said 11/2. So every legal document I have makes me one day younger than I actually am (aren't you ladies jealous?)!

So, I celebrate both days! :lmao:

That's a great story about your birthday! And yes...I am jealous!

Cloudy and a little rainy here today in NJ. I'm going to try and get some stuff together today for our garage sale this weekend (yes, the one we were supposed to have a couple of weeks ago). I've got DD's clothes for the cruise put aside and I will be working on DS's today too!

I can't believe 3 weeks from tomorrow we are flying to Florida :scared1: I'm starting to feel a little behind the 8 ball...I've got to make some lists and then I will feel better. Oh yeah..got to work on my signs too!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Or I'm getting to the age where I dont care what others think about my opinions anymore. :lmao: It does make things more fun and interesting. :chat:

Kathy

Kathy: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That's my excuse - I'm at that "age"! I certainly surprise my family, friends and co-workers more often than they expect! I am often their source of entertainment.

Denise: I seldom bring home leftovers from a restaurant. Dave eats his meal, plus part of mine. He is well known as a big eater. There is a B&B in northern Michigan we used to frequent, that had that "warning" on his guest card.

Ladies: This is OT of cruise discussion. I need suggestions for a Thanksgiving lunch. My DD, DSIL, and 2 grandkids will be at our house for lunch, then they are heading to the Detroit area for dinner with the other side of the family. They are having turkey for dinner.

Has anyone booked a 2008 cruise? Kathy?

Have a great day!

My suggestion would be an "appetizer buffet". You know how you hate to fill up on appies lest you spoil your dinner? Well, here is license to fill, since it will be several hours before they dine. You could have all kinds of finger food, dips, cut fruits and veggies and tiny finger desserts.

Has anyone booked a 2008 cruise? Kathy?

Going to book on board for self and sil - can't WAIT. We leave for Florida, two weeks from tomorrow.

Happy Day, All!

Morning all:

Happy birthday Bob :cheer2: So how old are you today vs. tomorrow? :rotfl:

Kathy I will give "dreamboat" Wally the message.....lets see what he will do...

Kelly I'm with you, for awhile I seemed on top of things, now I feel behind to....this is my weekend to catch up and get things in order.....

Well have to finish getting ready for work (yuk)...the closer we get the more I really hate going into work.

My sister was discharged yesterday from the hospital and will be cruising with us :Pinkbounc :woohoo: :cheer2: . However, I work for her doctor. So he tells me the other day, your sister is fine to go on the cruise but you have to stay home to monitor her medication. They try anything at my office to keep me there as I am the only one who knows and my job and insurance. They will not have a go to person when I'm gone..... :) job security!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Great Idea! I second that! :cheer2: That is what I do every Christmas with my dh's family...they come over around 1 for "appetizers" and then go to their respective dinner locations afterwards...we all get to connect...and then we go to dinner at my aunt's with my family...everyone loves it!

Hi Jan,
well no bookings for 08 for us, at least not yet.
I am waiting to see if they keep doing cutbacks in all the areas I love before we decide what to do.

Did you book for 08?? :confused3

Bob, I am not jealous of your two birthdays. In my opinion that makes you age twice as fast as the rest of us :rotfl2:

I agree, too! Just try to keep it simple (buy as many of the items already cut-up, prepared, etc.). Since you just might have a couple other things going on ( :confused3 ), the last thing you want to do is spend hours cutting fruits & veggies, etc.

We have a Christmas Eve party at our house every year and every year I spend the whole day chopping, preparing and arranging the food (that's just the food I couldn't take care of ahead of time! :stir: ). Every year I say I'll scale back and make it simpler, but it hasn't happenend yet. . . I'm sure this year I'll lose my OCD ways! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good morning Banana Heads

I'm sitting at the Albuquerque airport, catching up on the posts while I wait for my flight to Houston. Last time I was here waiting for a flight, I got to watch the fighter jets from Kirtland AFB take off. They share the runway with the airport, and I was really looking forward to seeing them again today, but I must have gotten here too late. Will be home in time for dinner tonight and to see MY BABY  and my dog! :woohoo:

With all the love spewing from this board, I'm sure that Dream Boat Wally will be coming out any minute now :rotfl2: . (Cheri, your post cracked me up! :rotfl: )

Bob, as soon as I turned on my computer this morning, I had a "DING" and the message "BOB'S B-DAY TOMORROW". Then you go and tell us that it's a 2-day long event? Well, I'm siding with your father and your BC! :rotfl: Wait, does this mean you get DOUBLE presents and cake??? :lmao:

Unfortunately, no I won't get two cakes, or maybe I will. We are having dinner with family tomorrow night, and then on Saturday, the single's Sunday School group we teach is taking me out to eat Japanese! So, I may get another cake on that day!

Heck, I may go out and buy my own cake today! But, my request for tomorrow night is that my wonderful wifey make me a Red Velvet cake. This is a special thing between us for birthdays and Valentine's, so I always look forward to it!

:bday: party: to you Bob. We have a lot of b'day's during the month of Nov. in our neck of the woods. My dd, mine, and Esther's. Great month. :thumbsup2

Denise - great news about your sister.

Kathy - Love this weather girl! I put in a request for our northern friends and it seems to be sticking...only hope I put the correct date on that request. I do get my months mixed up.

It's getting closer and closer to departure date. I hear the music of jaws in my ears as I'm trying to get everything together. I'm starting to hit that old panic button. I still have to find a dress for me. I lost weight :cheer2: and the dress I was going to wear is a bit too big. And I haven't gotten our door sign made yet. Maybe this job before vacation idea wasn't a good idea after all.

Well, going to go now. Have to get ready for work. You really feel old when you are in charge of 4 and 5 year olds! They want you to get on the floor and play. Getting down is great, back up... :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday, Bob! I see that I missed greeting your day earlier :(

Definitely get as much ready made as possible for that buffet - Sam's club, and I suppose Costco or BJs have terrific appetizers you only need to heat and eat, with a deli veggie plate and fruitbowl you're good to go with no work - and very little clean up either - MY KIND of meal!

If you were in mid-Michigan today or tomorrow, we'd buy you a discounted meal somewhere!

Denise - Glad your sister is doing well and that she'll be cruising with us.

Kathy: No booking yet for 08. We will probably use DVC points for one or both of us and there's an 11 month window before we can book.

Linda: Thanks so much for the suggestion for Thanksgiving lunch. DUH -- why didn't I think of that. With just 4 adults and a 2 year old eating, we really don't need that much. I don't want to be chopping, grinding, baking, cooking, etc. to the point that I'm too tired to board that plane the next morning!

Back to work!

I'm in the doghouse tonight. I got distracted driving into the garage and whacked the step into the house. Whacked it clean off. :-(

Holy Toledo! Didya see those 2008 prices!?! 4-day March 23 cat 12 will cost more than this 7 day, cat 6. MUCH more.

My friend's fiance dropped dead at his work the other day. Late 40s. Sure a wake up call to live now, because one never knows the number of ones days left on earth.

Linda,
I will stick up for you and the "accident". :grouphug:

I had a similar problem a few years back. I barely bumped the garage wall with my front bumper and left a small black mark. It was a brand new house, our first ,and DH had built it himself from top to bottom, so I thought I'd better tell him so he could paint it. :artist:

By evening he was telling people :chat: I dented the wall with the car. A couple days later he told everyone that I made a big hole in the wall. By a week later he had told everyone I plowed so hard into the garage wall I kocked our son off the couch in the family room!!! :rotfl2:

He still tells people that story and my son swears to it!! :rolleyes1
Neither one of them was home at the time. Boy, that was the last time I confess to anything to Greg.
Hope your step incident doesnt grow as the story is told like my little black mark did.

Okie, the Head Server is definitely a behind the scenes type person. If you don't see them, it means everything is probably going very well for you. They are responsible for training of the wait staff, assisting in delivery of meals when necessary and cleaning up after the meals. They definitely earn their tips as well! :thumbsup2

Good Morning! Sorry I'm late!

My colleague got her American Citizenship this morning, so I went to the ceremony to take photos. It was very moving and nice.

Left my robot doing the work untended, and for once he behaved himself.

The guys can tease me about the steps, I don't care. Normally I'm a good driver (trucker's daughter - no choice - you WILL learn to drive backward as well as forward) but as a life long member of the ADHD club, I DO get distracted now and then. lol.

Lynn, I don't think you can possibly have too many baby pictures, can you?

Shell, glad to see you home safe and sound.

Where IS that dreamboat, Walley?

Hey y'all --- looking forward to getting to know you all. Just wanted to post an FYI (forgive me if someone has beat me to this) -- but just a note to those procrastinators JUST LIKE ME but there are no more Palo reservations to be had. I'll go get my name on the waiting list, but I sure am kicking myself for not taking care of that earlier. So if anyone hasn't reserved what they want (oceaneer's club, spa ressies, whatever) better do it now!

Much love, and can't wait can't wait

Good afternoon Nanas!

The weekend is basically here! :cool1:

I get to go to Jessalyn's school a bit later to help set up for the school carnival (what was I thinking when I signed up? :confused3 ) and tomorrow I'll help run one of the games. I imagine things have changed just a bit since I went to this very same school a few years ago! :rotfl2:

Not too much going here today / this weekend. I'm going to break down and get most of our clothes packed. Then I can make a final inventory of last minute things I need.

Better get my work stuff wrapped up for the night. Then the countdown is on till we hear from DBW!!! :hourglass popcorn::

Talk to you all later!!

Cheri

P.S. Shell - thanks for the latest cruise list! :thumbsup2

Okie,
Tell Josh HOORAY!!!!
Now go out and buy the BIGGEST bottle of excedrin you can find, preferably the Migraine strength!!! Your gonna need it!! :rotfl2:
Been there, done that 4 times!!!

Lauri,
They only allow a certain amount of on line reservations for Palos. Because some people dont have the ability to book that way. As soon as you board the ship go and make your reservations.
You will be given a paper when you check in and on it will give a place and time to make reservations and to change dining times. It starts almost immediately at boarding, usually in one of the clubs. First come, first serve!! So zip there first and you shouldnt have a problem.

We have done this and it works really good. :thumbsup2
Time for dinner, I'll check back later tonight and see how everyone is doing.
I have to see if Wally really posts!! :rolleyes1

OK....it's been an hour and a half and nobody has posted. I am in the mood to obsess about our trip and there is noone to talk to

I am going to try and jump over to the CB board abd find out if this 'mysterious' celebrity has been announced. I think that is why I am in project management - let everyone else do the work and just survey the results LOL (that was a joke - I do actually work OCCASIONALLY) ps - the spelling of that just looks wrong??

anywho.....can we think of something to obsess about - maybe post our packing lists, post menus and pick out what we are going to eat???? SOmething (yes, God, I am a loser  ).

I already printed out the 3-4 and 5-7 DCU Navs to help DS decide what he wants to do. I swear, I need a support group.

OK, spastic rant over - hope to see some bananas hop on board tonight.

This one is for the boys:
Anyone getting a brazilian for the trip?? :teeth: popcorn::

Hey all! Guess who's back!?! ME! I have finally found a crack in the steel wall that is homework. To confirm the test, which I passed ( :cool1: ), I can now drive under my own freewill. Now I need a car... THe test wasn't too hard, I parallel parked, came to four stop signs. Blah blah blah. All in all, I made three mistakes: didn't turn on turn signal when I went into the stall to parallel park, forgot to turn on my turn signal when I was to change lanes ( :sad2: ) oh well.
The test was point based, not one shot and "get out!".

How have you been Kathy? It's been awhile since we talked; I hope you're all set for the cruise. My mom's pulling hairs out of her head. I hope she gats ready in enough time. By the turn of the month, we'll be on the cruise :woohoo: :woohoo:     .

Good evening Banana Heads

Sarah, does it count that Bill and I obssessed (AGAIN) about the trip at dinner tonight?! :rotfl2: And yes, it was dinner (not supper) because we ate at a restaurant :lmao: .

So here's a good one to get things started. This is for everyone. What is the ONE thing that you're most excited about on this cruise? Bill and I were going through this at dinner. For me, it's the entire first day ... those first steps into the lobby and having our name announced, meeting all my DIS family :grouphug: , seeing our cabin for the first time and hanging out on the veranda, watching the dolphins as we leave port :cloud9: .

Bill says his is "meeting Wendy" :rotfl2: . Course, I'd have to include finally meeting Dream Boat Wally in person  ! Where IS that Dream Boat Wally anyway????

Josh, congratulations on getting your license!! :cool1:

What am I really excited about...I think I have to agree with you....getting on the boat...taking in the whole experience. Dolphins...YEA! Hearing the boat horn as we leave...
And a close second...seeing my kids take in the whole experience...
I have never been on a cruise before....so the whole thing is new...and I have traveled a lot! (My dad was a Captain for United Airlines for 30 years....but being a Navy man...didn't think a cruise was a vacation...hence the 1st time thing...)

Denise, I got my Tiara today too and I must A'h do look good in a crown :rotfl2:

OK Sarah here goes" Hi my Name is Wendy and I am DIS obsessed" I have printed out the navigators, the menus plus highlighted what I want to eat, made a spreadsheet and have a binder with all things cruise related in it...yes I have a problem but admiting is the first step right..

Shell, we are coming to CP in July next summer so I will get the dates so you can be sick and come play.

Ohhhhh Wally where are you dreamboat, I am waiting for a little "tie a yellow ribbon" start practicing ok

Hi Josh,
welcome back and congrats on the DL today. It took me two tries when I got mine.
I am ready to go, just need to finish my last door sign.

What i am looking forward to most?? :confused3 That's a hard one, probably tied for a couple of things.

Meeting everyone at the meet, that is always a highlight of our cruise. :grouphug:
Having our youngest son along is great too. :goodvibes
Just relaxing and watching the ocean from our verandah and forgetting all the bad stressful things we have in daily life!!
But getting hugs from Goofy and Donald and Chip and Dale are ranked up there with #1 too!! ;)
Twice I danced with goofy in the sand on Castaway Cay. that was a magical memory!! :wizard:

way past my bedtime, will check back tomarrow,

Just got back from helping set up for the school carnival. (I was having flashbacks of when I was just a little grade-schooler going to the carnival at that same school!!! :rotfl: )

My very own dream-boat Bill (a.k.a. DBB) fixed my laptop somehow!!!

Sarah -- I know what you mean -- I'm obsessing all the time! I go back & forth trying to decide what to order at dinner, what to drink, what to do, etc., etc.

I guess I'm looking forward most to getting on board and meeting everyone. :grouphug: I'm also looking forward to warm weather and the fun of actually sailing away on our journey.

Congrats Josh on the DL! :thumbsup2 Now you can make your parents' insurance rates go up!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Better wrap things up for the night.

Hey -- another thing we have in common: 5YO DD's and my dad was also a captain for UAL. :thumbsup2 He retired at the end of 2001.

There were so many times that we ended up going on vacations in the 5th-wheel camper-trailer instead of flying because Dad didn't want to have to fly anywhere. Plus, flying on a pass isn't always all it's cracked up to be!!!

morning all,
Ok, where is dreamboat Wally??? it is 8:30 and he is still a no-show.

We dont need a letter from him, just a howdy do will be ok.

Well DH is remodeling our 1/2 bath today. We took out the pedistal sink and are putting in a vanity and sink, new lighting, painting and a new big medicine cabinet.. We are going to do that to all the bathrooms over the next few months.

well I am off to "Supervise" the project. I wont say too much to a man with a nail gun and a saw in his hands, but I will keep an eye on him.

I will check back later,
kathy
