Darn! Linda beat me to it!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
It's a frosty morning here on DH's b-day! He gets to go take a financial products re-certification test this morning. Lucky him!
I think I'll take him out for dinner tonight. I'll even use the credit card with my name on it! :lmao: :lmao:
Did you see the blinking tiaras on the funtastic novelties site? We could walk around in the dark with them! :rotfl:
I better get to work. We hired a new assistant and he started yesterday. He used to be an agent for our company but now is moving more toward being an accountant. (We share our office with a CPA and this guy will be putting in big hours for her once tax season rolls around.) In the meantime, he'll work for us doing the stuff I don't want (or have time) to do.
There's your bit of useless information for the day!
Have a good one!

The heck with the tiaras, did you see the blinking sunglasses and mouthpieces? The lights on the mouthpiece fit in behind your teeth and flash four colors through them. Those would be SO cool during the sailaway party!
BTW, new goal....4,500. The way you guys and gals have been going, this should be a cinch! :thumbsup2
Good Morning Everyone!
It's a chilly 39 degrees here in NJ this morning BRRRRR. Poor DD was at the bus stop 15 minutes ago - not fun!
Kelly
Beat ya (unfortunately) with 34 degrees this AM. S--- flurries all day yesterday and last night. accumulation in the mountains east of here *SIGH* I get depressed two times a year. First snow. and in mid February when it feels like it will never stop. Not sure what the heck I am doing still living here. Oh that's right... I like it most of the time..just those two weeks I hate. Had a chance to move to Southern California (again) for an incredible job...but this entrepreneur thing has bitten me but good. Even enough to stay here and watch the flakes (of the s--- variety). :-) Happy day to all.

Good morning Banana Heads
Wow, looks like I missed a lot of excitement, between the record-breaking post and all the tiara talk! Now I have to confirm with Lisa that she's been able to find Bob's tiara for formal night!!! :lmao: (and it better not be the Sara Evans kind!) Side note to Lisa: HEY! Stop by sometime and say HI!http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/woogal/2560.gif
I just got done re-doing all my travel plans for next week to the southwest. After talking to a few people, I became convinced that driving 3 stretches of 3.5 hours in the eastern desert of Arizona with no cell phone service and few vehicles anywhere around was not cool for anyone, let alone a delicate princess like me princess: ! So now I'm doing all flights, and will be in one of my favorite places, Albuquerque, for 2 nights :cool1: .
HOLY SNOW it's cold here too! East of town in the Snow Belt, some areas got 5-8 inches. We've seen nothing, which is just fine with me! :thumbsup2
Check in with younz later ...

I plan on wearing sandals and a short sleeve shirt on the plane. I won't wear winter clothes.
Have a great day everyone.

Hey banana heads! Sorry for the intrusion! Just wanted to pass on an observation I made last night...
I accidentally checked cabin availability for YOUR cruise instead of mine last night and noticed that one of the obstructed veranda staterooms was available (6134). I'm sure you know about these rooms - they are cat 6's that are priced as cat 7's because of a partially obstructed veranda. It's probably not worth the cost to switch categories at this point, but it might be worth a room number change for somebody!
Have a great cruise!

Nope, she won't participate in me wearing a tiara. As a matter of fact, she stated that she might not know me for that period of time. The rule was, you ladies had to provide it if you want to see it happen. I'm not gonna buy it! :o

Hey everyone, I happened to take a look at the 'is anyone at dcl listening' post over on the main board and the last person to post had mentioned she is sailing the Magic in the next few weeks. Well, I look at her ticker and lo-and-behold I think she is with us! The more the merrier. I PM'd her to ask if she was with us and to invite her over to the thread. I think her name is 'momof6innc' - if that is true then :worship: :worship: to her - to think I complain about the one  . Anyway, looks like they are sailing to celebrate her DD being declared clear of leukemia - which is so awesome. Hopefully she comes over and joins us crazy critters.
It is chilly here today too - but sunny so it is not too bad. I am trying to convince myself it is just 'fresh and crisp' instead of %^*% cold! :furious: Oh well, why would you go to the Carribean in the summer - this weather just makes me look forward to it more!

OK, I just thought of something rather upsetting - Lampy is no longer sailing with us ( :sad2: ) and he was the one with the 'connections' for the PLAPLAP rotation.....my life has been centered around that rotation (I know, sad sad) SO....how can we get PLAPLAP??????!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone. Can we request it on our linked ressies and beg and plead?????? Kathy - does that son of your have any DCL CRO connections?!?! :rolleyes1

Now Bob says 4500 is the new goal, he doesnt know us ladies very well or he would of at least said 5000. The closer we get to the cruise, the more we chat.
I finally bought 2 new blouses for the cruise today. They were 1/2 price too!
Pat,
i hope you are able to get out and enjoy the day too. I love the cooler weather.
well gotta go, The House of Dracula is coming on TV. :happytv:

DON'T PANIC!!!! When I did all the links, I specified that was the rotation we wanted, and she indicated "We can't guarantee it but it is noted on your reservation." Then she indicated that we are "for sure" in Parrot Cay the first night, so that should seal the deal. Feel better now?! :teeth:

Sarah,
i saw your post below momof6 too.
We were on the same cruise in August with her If my memory is correct. there were 7 MAW families with us that trip, they were one of them. I had invited her to join our cruise thread, but she never did.
I hope she joins this time if she is on our cruise.
It would really be an odd coincidence if we are sailing together again??

Welcome, Lorna! I hope it's warmer by the time we cruise. A high of 57 in orlando doesn't sound NEARLY warm enough for me!

good Morning!
Oh, missed a question. Lorna, Palo isn't formal, but it's dressy. Your dh would want to wear a sport coat over dockers, at least. I'm not sure a tie is required, but it might be. My dh rarely gets the opportunity to dress up, so he enjoys it when he has the chance and does wear a tie.
Did I say I ordered my tiara? From Glitterdiva.com "earthmother" or something like that. lol.

Snakes too.!!!
I stepped out the door one day to get the mail and right in front of my door was a snake all coiled up. :scared1: He was sunning himself I guess. As I ducked back inside, he slithered off around the front of the garage. He was about 6 feet long. I cant see in front of the garage from the door, so I waited about 2 hours before carefully walking out to get my mail.
Also had many pygmy rattle snakes go across our patio. :sad2:
Denise, are you sure you want that spare room still???
well the sun is coming up, time to get busy. I did get 2 new shirts for the cruise yesterday. One pair of shorts and I am all set.

Good Morning Turkeys and Bananas
It's another chilly day here in NJ but the :sunny: is shining brightly so I'm happy!
I have a free day to myself!!! This hasn't happened much lately so I am going to take full advantage and GO SHOPPING!!! Can you tell I'm looking forward to it :cool1:
Kathy - EEEKKK!!! I would die if I saw a 6 foot snake outside my front door! Forget exterminator...I'm thinking shotgun!
I hope everyone has a terrific day today!

Hi Lorna, welcome!
We are suffering from the cold up here too (we live in Toronto, Canada) and cannot wait for the cruise. Glad to hear you are a little one. DS will be *almost* 5 when we cruise. We are flying in on the Thursday (your Turkey-Day) and are staying at the Residence Inn in Cocoa Beach for 2 nights before the cruise.
Hope all the turkeys and bananas are doing well. I think I am getting sick (ugh) but better now than in a month!!!!! Poor DS got his immunization shots yesterday at the Doctor.....kinda sad the MMR (measels, mumps, rubella) hurt him quite a bit. I actually bought a patch that was supposed to numb the skin so it wouldn't hurt him but it didn't seem to work. I feel for you parents who have had to experience kiddos being sick/in the hospital - I was tearing-up at Dutch's cries with just the one needle. It has to be an aweful feeling knowing your kiddo is in pain and not being able to help.
Anyway - off to better thought - my to do/done list:
pirate: Tux - DSs arrived in the mail from a fellow DISr - seems to fit OK, might need a new white shirt as this one has black 'ruffle' type detail I am not too fond of. I think he should be able to wear his school dress shirt? Need to get him a bow-tie
pirate: ordered DHs tux vis CruiseFormal - got him fitted for the jacket over the weekend at Moores - 42 Long so there you go!
pirate: picked up matchy-poo Disney shirts/dress from cleaners $30 to press 3 items - ouch!
pirate: ordered DS and my pirate outfit from ebay - hoping it arrives in time!!! Just need shoes for me and to pick up DHs at the costume rental place in mid-Nov
pirate: got DH beige docker-type pants for our matchy-poo outfits
pirate: started putting stuff downstair to pack
To Do
pirate: make sure my outfits still fit :scared1:
pirate: finalize pirate stuff and get garment bag for all
pirate: confirm all ressies, tickets, rentals etc
pirate: win the lottery
Hope everyone has a good hump day.

Lorna: Glad to have you and the family aboard with us. Do you guys have early dining or late dining?
Good morning everyone. Well, it is starting off at a chilly 37 degrees down here in deep south Georgia! About the same in Atlanta from what I understand from DW.
My day has had a rough start with nothing going right, so hopefully it will quickly improve. Trying to finish up this project a couple of days early so that I can go home and relax a little bit!
Have a great day and keep it coming!

The Cleveland newspaper has a motto: Miss a Day, Miss a Lot. On this thread, it's more like Miss an Hour, Read a Lot :lmao:
:welcome: LORNA AND FAMILY!! Being from Ohio, my first question for you is ... MSU or U of M?? ;)
I have to congratulate so many on the board for bringing me to tears while laughing so hard over the last couple of days :lmao: :
Sarah: BRAVO on the cryptogram! (is your eye feeling better now?!)
Bob: Ditto on the "that's radiation radiating from your monitor" :rotfl2: That almost got a spit-take.
And kudos to the supporting cast -- Linda, Wendy, Denise and Cheri! And Kathy for the Minnie-and-the-pants story! Plus of course all youze others guys too. This is going to be the vacation of a lifetime! :woohoo:
Kathy, when Mom and Dad lived in Leesburg they would tell me about finding snakes all over their yard, too. One day Dad was weeding or something, stood up and was face-to-face with a small snake half-way in and half-way out of the siding of the house :crazy2: .
Gotta get to the stuff they pay me for. Will check in later ...

Shell,
tTell your parents that they can come and pick up their snakes at anytime. I'm sure they miss the "pets" they left behind. I have plenty to donate to the cause!!! :lmao:
One day only a couple blocks from home Greg saw a rattlesnake that was sunning himself, it stretched completley across the road!! No place to go accept over him, as did many people.
Since DH is in construction he often walks into new home just being built and there are lots of snakes and scorpions just waiting to say HELLO!! Fire ants too!!! I have found scorpions a few times in the master bath.
Myself I like the turtles and armadillos we have. They are more to my likings.
The exterminator just finished spraying for spiders, so maybe I wont wake up to stepping on them barefoot in the mornings for awhile. :rolleyes1

Welcome Lorna. I promise we won't be too much on board. The excitement is getting TOO much for us.
For those who ordered t-shirts, and Lorna its not too late, they are at the printers right now and I would just have to add on.
Here is the price break-down on the shirts.
9.45 s-xl
11.45 for xxl and up
8.95 for kids shirts and baby onezies
The order is suppose to be completed by November 1, but I have a feeling it will be earlier that promised. I will be shipping them USPS as cheaply as possible. I will enclose an invoice in each package with an envelope addressed back to me.
Thank you guys for letting me do this for the group. It’s given me something to look forward too. He He
Have a great Wednesday. And play nice.

Hi everyone, Just found out about DIS boards. My DH, 2 DD ages 10 and 7, my aunt, and my self will be joining you in less than 5 weeks:-) This is our 2nd Disney Cruise. We are very excited!! This is my first time on this message board. It has been fun reading all of the posts.
Welcome and good luck keeping up with the posts. I came on a few months ago and struggle to try and keep up with this group. I don't think I have been very successful at it.
Speaking of not keeping up. Now I'm going to run and try to make Halloween costumes. Nothing like putting it off as long as I can. But skeletons need to be cut out, White witches assembled and sewn, and some how I have to turn and 4yo into Handy Manny.

 Everyone - OMG! You all have been a chatty bunch! I get a job, go to work for two days, come back to the computer, and WOW...it took me forever to read everyone's post.
:welcome: to Lorna and her family.
We are from FL and we are traveling with our son, his wife, Cullen (2), Laura (who will be 9mos.), Stacey (9), my dh, and ME! Esther, she's my son's wife, is the one you have to watch out for! :lmao: (just joking all - the camera is forgiven! :rotfl2: )
Kathy - YES, YES, YES! I love this weather! It feels great to have the cool air. I didn't buy anything at the craft show, oh, wait, I got a basket for pine cones to put by the fireplace. I went to the one in McIntosh not Mt. Dora.
McIntosh is only one day and Mt. Dora is two. I try to hit them both but didn't feel like going to Mt. Dora on Sunday. It would be too late by the time I got back from church and went to lunch.
Steve went to the post office the other day and there was a snake by the door. He had to stomp his feet to get it to move. I would have wet my pants! That's the truth...I hate snakes. We have them in our back yard sometimes too. Maybe more than I know about! I found a snake skin on my back porch and called Stephen over to look for the snake. Steve was in GA at the time and I was afraid to go outside.
The job is OK, I'm not too sure I want to do this. I'm going to give it a few weeks and see how it goes. Poor Cullen is having a time adjusting to all of this.
Hope you all have a good day...see you REAL soon, why...because we can't wait to meet you all!

Do you remember the "Ugly Wife Song"??? Not sure the exact name or who did it, but it says If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife, so from my personal point of view, get an ugly girl to marry you.
It also says something about she sure is ugly, her eyes dont match, but she sure can cook. :lmao:

Pat,
i thought the paper said next weekend is Mt. Dora craft sale and there is one 4 miles west of Leesburg this saturday at Penbroke or something like that. There is a big banner by our wal mart about it. I was hoping to check it out this weekend if I get the time, but now they are saying a chance of rain on the weekend, which may cause some problems for craft sales, which are usually outside.

PS - FL residents - does Target have sumemr type stuff all year round - like waterwings, swimshoes, capris etc etc?? We have the Friday all day in Cape Canaveral and there are a few things I would like to pick up that they don't carry up here becuase the 'season' is over. Also - anyone know any other good stores in that area?? What is this Koh;'s I keep hearing about - is it a dept store like Sears??
Hey, sorry for the delay in answering the FL questions. You're probably going to have a hard time finding any summer items in the stores when you get here. My first thought was Ron Jons, but I've never been there and I read in a later post that you said it was expensive. There maybe a Sports Authority or something like that near the port, they may carry swimming stuff year round, maybe check their website for locations near port?
I'm trying to find some snorkel things, Esther wants a new bathing suit and we are having a hard time, looks like we are going to have to order on line.
For all you northerners out there, I actually had to turn my air conditioner off for the last 2 days, it got cold here. I think our high was like 70 or something...brrrrrr! :lmao:

ONE MONTH FROM TODAY! WOO-HOO! :cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc
Have the queenies here thought of Party City or halloween stores for their tiaras? I'm sure there are plenty out there for trick or treat.
DD already has hers packed. We got it at DW last year and it has randomly flashing jewels. Very sparkly!
4,000+ posts. Good job gang.

Don't know that I woulda admitted that, sister! My DW is looking for a tiara, so you better be finding one for yourself!

howdy folks...
Lynn - how cute is that picture! He looks like he's afraid to move. I feel for ya gal (as far as watchin' kids) I had 17 4 year olds today! I'm really reconsidering this job thing. I don't care if Cullen needs to develop his social skills - he can learn to be social with the senior citizens that are in his life! I'm thinking of home schooling him at this point :rotfl:
Stephen - you can wear the polo shirt that you got from the company you work for to Palos! :thumbsup2
Kathy - get ready, it's going back up to the 80's tomorrow. And that folks is why we hate FL weather. One day you freeze, turn the heat on, and get the blankets down for the bed, the next day you're going to the beach and turning the AC down low.
I thought Mt. Dora was this past weekend! Glad I didn't make it down there this past Sunday... :goodvibes
Well, I'm going to go to bed now. I don't think I can take watching LOST any more. I'm so totally LOST watching it. Does anyone else feel that way or am I just a bit on the slow side? I'm the type of person that jokes get lost on. I finally get them at 2 a.m.
Are you all really getting tiaras? I really thought this was a joke thing going on! If you are...check out Wal-Mart in the craft section were they have the do it yourself items for the bride-to-be. I think they run pretty cheap too.

In case you missed them - two on line tiaras sources have been mentioned
was it Tiaraworld.com? Those were GORGEOus but expensive
and glitterdiva.com somewhat more reasonable. Shell - there were a couple very tall ones on one of these sites.
That poor baby! Snowsuits are SUCH a pain, aren't they Drew? Poor little thing.
I had answers for a couple people on the last page . . . unfortunately, I forgot the quesitons!
Night all!
Does anyone know how formal you have to be for brunch at Palo's. I know that you have to wear jacket and tie for dinner but what about brunch?
I went to that brunch in khaki's and a polo (shirt sleeve golf variety) shirt. I'm not sure I saw a single jacket and tie while we were there. And it was fantastic. We couldn't get a ressie for it for this cruise, so that's the FIRST thing I do when we board.
Alright ladies -- what's the deal on the tiaras?? Do I need to have DH shopping E-Bay?? He's not really shopping for much now that he bought DD's princess loft bed. princess: It will make him feel very important! :lmao: :lmao:

Denise i hope your sister will be feeling better soon.

Cheri - Where did your DH find a princess loft bed? My DD is dying for a loft bed and the princess thing might be a great way to go..
He did the shopping on E-Bay -- children's bedroom furniture. There are quite a few loft beds with a slide & ladder and canvas coverings to make it look like a castle.
I think prices have been ranging from $200's and up. There are some really cool set ups that start at $1500!! After several weeks searching and bidding, we bought one that is fuschia/pink with natural wood instead of the purple/pink one with white trim. (DD, of course, wanted the purple & pink, but we've convinced her that this one is better! :thumbsup2 )
The shipping costs really add up so maybe you will find one close by that you can pick up yourself.
Good luck!

Good Morning Nana Heads!!!
Welcome Lorna! We're from Michigan, too. What area of the state do you call home? We're in the Lansing area; originally from the Detroit area. Jeff (JD99) can tell you that we're MSU fans. :thumbsup2 Crusiing: Me, DH Dave, and friends, Bob and Gitta.
It has been a chatty few days on our thread. The last two nights, I've been wrapping Christmas gifts. I should be done by tonight.
Tonya: Thanks to you for taking on such a big job of the t-shirts.
Lynn: Your little guy is so cute, even if he's not smiling in the pic.
It's another cold day in mid-Michigan. Hopefully, the rain will go away in St. Louis, and our DETROIT TIGERS can win the game.
Saturday morning, I'm heading to the west side of the state to see my Kalamazoo grandkids, that night we have a wedding to attend.
Sunday, we're having a "cruise meeting" with Bob and Gitta.
Lorna, as other posters have said, brunch in Palo is not formal and neither is dinner. You will see a wide variety of dress at each restaurant and at Palo. Dave is taking a sport coat and will wear it for dinner at Palo. Having been on 6 DCL cruises, I don't notice anyone's attire at dinner as I'm too busy having fun with my tablemates and servers. With guests seated, I couldn't even tell you if the females at my table were wearing shorts, slacks, jeans, skirt, etc. DCL has "suggested" guidelines and ask that cruisers refrain from wearing shorts and bathing suits to the dining rooms. You will see tuxes on formal night, but you will also see men in suits, sport coats, and just a shirt and tie. I'm wearing a Chico's basic black dress for formal night and Palo dinner. If you do a search on the DCL boards, you'll see plenty of opinions on DCL "dress code".
Everyone have a great day. For all of us northerners, stay warm!

Good morning,
well Pat is correct, we are going to get that HOT weather back again.
Guess I will need to go out and do my errands early today.
Lorna,
we are doing an island tour at St. Maartin. Dont remember the name of it, but it is a ferry boat ride and then a bus ride on land. I believe we see Phillipsburg and the capital on the other side of the island. Just cant seem to remember any names this morning.
On St.Thomas we are going to St. Johns for an island tour.
I just read a thread that said on the Magic it is now NO smoking in all the clubs and the cove cafe.
I have no proof that this is true, but that is what they posted . Just thought I would pass it along for anybody who may be interested. Guess we will find out soon enough.
The sun is up, so time to run some errands,

Today we're coming down the homestretch of a major home project. We added two rooms (a morning room and a den/office) onto our house and simultaneously redid the kitchen. Granite is being installed today..the den/office is being painted and builtin bookshelves stained and the new deck built. After today only about 3 more "projects" left to completion and I actually have an office with a door to close to work from. :cool1: Start to finish on this whole thing has been only about 3 months by the time it's completed so it's been 3 months of me trying to work and coordinate all this stuff too but it is going to be so worth it. Lesson to those getting into new houses - we built this house six years ago thinking it was big enough for us forever. Six years later.... But this is it. I live here in this house in this size until I can downsize to a nice condo at the beach...

Lorna,
yes there is a gift exchange for aynone who wants to do it.
We decided it would be a $10 limit, one gift per family. We thought since we come from all over we would give either a regional gift or an ornament for the holidays.
Bring it to the meet in the Promenade lounge on the first day at 2:45
we are going to draw a name out of the hat and whose ever name you draw, they will give you the gift they brought. So if you bring a gift, have your name on a paper to drop in the hat. Then everyone who brings a gift will draw a name out.
Does that make sense?? :confused3
If not someone else can explain it better. but that should answer both your questions.
oh, there is also a pre meet, meet at the signals bar at 1:01 the first afternoon for drinks. :drinking1 But the family meet is at 2:45 in the Promenade lounge the first day.

We will be meeting at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday in the Promenade Lounge. Dave and I both grew up in Dearborn, but didn't meet until we were in our early 30s. Raised our family in Woodhaven, then Allen Park. We've been married for 22 years. We have 3 kids -- all in their 30s and 6 grandchildren, the oldest being 4.5 years. My DD lives in Kzoo. She met her DH at WMU. My other DD lives in Wyandotte. My DS lives in Morgantown, WV.
We're neighbors!

Hey Everyone!
Just checking in. By the time I catch up with the reading I'm off and running again. DS has karate and DD has dance...his ends at the same time that hers begins....can you say "I need a clone???"
Youze guys really put a smile on my face. I sit hear reading and by the time I'm done I've got a grin on my face from ear to ear :)
Lynn - DS is ADORABLE. I so remember those days...the kids kind of looking at you like "Are you nuts, you expect me to wear this????"
I am going to look for my tiara as soon as I get off of here. I think DD took it. I'm pretty sure she has the blinking minnie ears one from the World that she will be bringing.
Runa - can I borrow that when your DH is done with it? :rotfl2:
I still am in denial about how close we are to actually boarding the ship. I guess I better start doing some things around here.
Have a great night everyone!

erhinestone has some gorgeous stuff, but did you see? IT's wholesale only! Otherwise, I might be tempted to order another one. I'm getting into this whole "Queen" thing.
I actually think BassPro sells some Christmas stuff. We used to get their catalogue back when we had a boat (now DVC). I'm having trouble with the regional gift . . . they're either made in china or all about New York City. THERE'S A WHOLE STATE UP HERE, PEOPLE!

I think I might have my hubby convinced to make a day trip to DW when we get off the ship. :cheer2: It will make a long drive home on Sunday. I'm thinking Epcot because we didn't get to spend much time there when we went last year. Or maybe we'll do the Magic Kingdom because it's always fun. My oldest daughter would like to see the POC since it's been redone. But we'd really love to do Soarin again (and again and again).
I need to be able to give him the following information:
What time can we get off the ship?
How long is the drive to DW?
Do you think we can get a hotel room on Disney at the last minute? We don't want to book in case we get off the ship and are just too tired.
Would a last minute room cost a ridiculous amount?
What's the height requirement for Soarin? I am trying to find that now.
Do you think we'd be too tired after the cruise?
Do you think I'm insane for wanting to drive back to VA in one day?

Carrie let me try to answer as many as possible
You can get off the boat usualy around 830-900
Its an hour drive to the parks ( we are going also that day)
It shouldn't be too busy that weekend and you should be able to get a room
I think Soarin is 40 inches
You shouldn't be tired I have gone to the parks after every cruise we have been on this is 5 for us
Oh coarse you are not
Hey Shell and Cheri you up for a 3 day cruise with the girls :Pinkbounc

Jan, I have about 30 friends doing some assortment of 1/2 ,full and Goofy. I'm the "team mom". lol. Everybody else is going home Monday the 8th, but I'm planning to stay on. The three day leaves Thursday and returns Sunday that would be the 11th through the 14th, and Monday is the holiday. Certainly better than New YOrk in January!
So, I get the Tiara, put it on, and forget about it. I'm upstairs checking email and dh comes home. I turn around to greet him and I get - a frown, eyes roll heavenward, he purses his lips and shakes his head. I burst out laughing. I TOLD 'em that's what you'd do, Honey! Well I missed the frown and the pursed lips, but I got the eye roll and headshake. lol. That settled it! I'm DEFINITELY WEARING IT! (we've been married off and on for 37 years more or less - he should know better by now.)
Carrie - two things - I'd book the room soon - we got one and at some levels there's limited availability. On the other hand, a friend just got a post card code for that weekend, so there's no telling. The second thing is - it's a long drive to Virginia, especially if it's northern VA and not southern.
Denise - sending healing pixie dust to your sister. We need her up & about in 3 weeks or less.

Thanks for the advice so far. We will probably be talking about this a bit more. I will have to tell him that it's an hour drive. I thought it would 45 mins or less. But I think he might still be OK with it. He'd really like to stay at the Wilderness Lodge or the Animal Kingdom. If I booking now would I still have to pay if we canceled that day? We would need a room for 5 and that always seem to be a problem.
I don't think my son will be tall enough for Soarin this year either. He'd love it so much. I will measure him again but I doubt he's 40 inches.
My poor short kids. :tiptoe:
The good news is that we are in Southern coastal VA. But it will still be at least a 13 hour drive. :drive: But if we leave at 5:00. It is still very doable. The kids will be fine in the car that long. My hubby is a mornig person so he won't have any problem driving that early. I could nap in the morning and then drive in the afternoon. :car: We drive to Ohio quite often and that takes about 9 hours and is pretty easy. Can you tell that I'm trying to talk myself into it?

Lynn - how is the baby feeling? I hope he's doing better. How do you like your job?
I'm off to get ready for work. Have to feed Laura, get her dressed, get Cullen's lunch made, get him feed and dressed, and then dress myself, get the dog put up in the crate, fix diaper bags, mix Laura's afternoon bottle, load the car with kids and all their items because Esther picks them up from school, and then away I go. I'm tired already! Maybe the big adjustment is more on Nana then Cullen! :goodvibes

Dave didn't complain as he went fishing in Wawa, Ontario for a week that summer.
Jan
I know where Wawa is :teeth:
So, got my regional gift - think I did a pretty good job. We'll see what the recipient thinks LOL.
DSs pirate outfit came in the mail yesterday - really cute. Now I am just hoping mine will come in time!! I hate the shipping time from US to Canada. Interestingly the woman lives in St Petersburgh FL so worst case I suppose I could get her to ship to the hotel? Is St Petersburgh anywhere near Orlando?? Sorry about my lame-o geography.
Fairly dull day here today. DSs Halloween party should be in full swing at school - hope he is enjoying himself. God bless teachers LOL.
A friend of mine with kiddos the same age as DS is coming over to visit tomorrow so I am planning some 'ghoulish' dinner items - worm burgers and hot dog mummies (wish me luck :teeth: ). DH and I are then skipping out for an 8pm dinner out while my friend watches the kids. We are hoping to run them around so by that time they will settle into a movie - Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown or something like that.
Talk to you all later.

You gals are SO funny!
Woo, what do you want? this is my 4th post today!
I was hopping - hardly at my desk all day, and no computer access in the lab. I must say though, i put it to good use - while I was tending my robots, I downloaded and read the entire Passporter cruise tips ebook! Now, I'd better get off - got laundry in, having overnight guests, and a dinner party.

Wendy & Cheri, Bill says I'm not allowed to go on a cruise without him. I told him he'd look pretty silly on a GIRLS cruise :lmao: . Last night we were talking about the cruise (I know, big surprise, huh?!), and he said to me, "I'm not going to see you at all on this cruise, am I? You'll be with the girls the whole time." I told him, in as sweet a voice as I could, "That's not true, honey! I'll still sleep with you!" :lmao: (sorry Wendy, guess we have to change plans now :lmao: :lmao: )
We could let the guys go and share a room together! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Is anybody here? (here-here-here)
I'm here now!!! Bill actually made me go into work today! :confused3 And then I spent the day trying to help clients save money on their existing policies -- how are we ever going to pay for this cruise? :lmao:
I now have to go get the house straightened up and pack for our little overnight trip to Milwaukee with the kids. We wanted to go downtown Chicago, but everything is booked solid this weekend. :furious:
Not much else happening here.
Here's something you fans of "The Office" may appreciate. DD came home today saying they talked about drugs today at school (National Drug Awareness day). She asked if Bill & I took drugs.
I said, "No. Only losers take drugs." (OK, so I lied -- I didn't think we needed to talk about all the drugs made from grapes and hops we've had over the years! :drinking1 )
So she said, "You mean Dwight takes drugs?" :lmao: :lmao:
It gave me a little chuckle!
Talk to you later!

There is an envelope in each package with my address on it and a invoice (for lack of better word) in each package. (TOO much time on hands). I hope everyone likes them. Lynn -- I'll probably have to check out those cards, too. My family will definitely get a kick out of them. Thanks for the heads up!
Denise -- OMG -- I can't believe that dog of DD's! I guess he's trying to let you know he's staking a claim there at your place. :sad2: :sad2: By the time she returns, it may have been cheaper to buy new carpet (if he keeps up at the same rate.) By the way, how is she doing? I think of her (and you) whenever I hear the grim details of what's going on over there. :grouphug:
We "adopted" a cat, but DH won't allow it in the house because we don't want it to pee everywhere. Our other cats, Wyatt & Doc, fight with him every chance they get. :sad2:
Shell -- Jessalyn said another funny: She asked who was prettier, and being the nice mom, I said she was. She responded that she must've had more pain. (I always tell her as I'm brushing her hair or grooming her, that "beauty is pain" :rotfl: ). Being a bit quicker than yesterday, it only took me 2 seconds to laugh! :rotfl2:
Well, I'm enjoying some fermented grapes before supper (dinner). Must pack for our mini-trip!!!

ALERT! VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Just thought I'd give you the heads-up. Don't want you getting infected! :thumbsup2
__________________________________________________ _______________
There is a dangerous virus being passed around electronically, orally, and by hand.
This virus is called Worm-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK).
If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss, or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely.
If you should come into contact with WORK put your jacket on and take two good friends to the nearest grocery store. Purchase the antidote known as
Work-Isolating-Neutralizer-Extract (WINE) or
Bothersome-Employer-Elimination-Rebooter (BEER).
Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.
You may want to share this warning with 5 friends. If you don't have 5 friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life. Take a lot of antidote! :rotfl2:
Just thought you should be on the look out :goodvibes

Good Evening Nana Heads!!! Where is everyone???!!!
Tonya - Thank you, thank you, thank you. Can't wait to see the shirts.
I'm hoping our Tigers don't lose to your Cardinals tonight, Tonya. I'd like to stretch out the series a little longer.
Sarah -- It seems that we meet so many people who know where Wawa is or they have been there.
I had a productive day even though Worm-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK) interfered.
Dave's BD is 12/6 and I wanted to surprise him with a gift on the ship. Are there any Monty Python fans in our group? I'm not one, as I don't understand the humor -- way over my head! Anyway, Spamalot is coming to Detroit in late December so I bought tickets online today. I'll have our server at Palo (hopefully, Anne Marie) bring his gift to the table during dinner. I'm not going to see Spamalot, my boss has offered to go with him as he is a MP fan.
Anne Marie -- Dave doesn't ask for a lot in life; he's kind of a low maintenance guy. BUT ... He gave me ORDERS to make sure we get Anne Marie at Palo. Geeze, like I have time to beg for a server on my vacation.
Went to Bravo tonight for dinner with a co-worker, Holly, who is also a DISer and a 3 time Magic cruiser. It's fun talking DCL with her.
Where has Jeff been this week??? His team -- Pitt -- has a day of rest tomorrow. I'll have to wager another bet with him when Pitt plays the Mountaineers next month.
Good night all. Heading to Kalamazoo to see 2 of my precious babies tomorrow morning.

Hello all....well Louie struck again this evening. This time he lifted his leg and peed on my chair in the family room. So he was grounded to his cage for about 2 hours :sad2: I just dont know what to do about this. I think he may miss my daughter, but its been 2 months he should be getting used to things around here pretty well by now. :confused3
Shell: ummm well lets see...Wally...he was the one that actually typed he was going to write. He was trying to think of some come back regarding the the princess and queen stuff....but he never did. I even mentioned to him that he hadnt written back and his answer was I may or may not write, so belive me, I'm sure he wont. But then again he may surprise me. :)
Cheri: My daughter is doing well. She is on a large base there. It pretty safe at this point and is actually not missing out on a lot of the american things. This base has fast food resturants, swimming pools, spas, she can get manicures and pedicures....so its not that much of a hard life or much of roughing it. When she was there 3 years ago...then she was roughing it. No bathrooms, they slept in tents with missles flying overhead, had to wear gas masks, then I was worring about her, this time I feel better about her being there. Not great nor if I had a choice would I want her there, but better knowing she is safer then the last time she was there. Thank you for asking.
Well I guess thats it for tonight.. tomorrow, shopping need to pick up things for the cruise, then I think Sunday I will start to iron the clothes that I will be packing.

Hey Jeff: Except for that awful whipping we took last week from Clemson, it has been a good season (even with the loss to Notre Dame). We play the Miami Hurricanes today at 3:30. Hopefully it won't be as close as I might have worried about earlier in the year. Miami seems to be falling apart. They just barely beat Duke last week!

Plus he doesn't hear much anymore and his cataracts are really bad. Hey, but other than that, he's doing great! :lmao: Oh well, wouldn't buy him for $1, wouldn't sell him for $1,000,000!!!
