Hey Bob,
I was wondering the same thing as Shell,
Who are the big blabbermouths?? :confused3
Before you answer i suggest you give it some deep thought, because remember less than 2 months and you will be face to face with the people on this board!!!
ye might be walking the plank pirate:
Kathy
There is another thread on the cruise meets that will post nonsense just to stay at the top of the Cruise Meets thread. The title is "06/??/08-Do Over "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" the chatting never stops". As of my writing this, they have 50,605 posts. So, I doubt if we will ever catch them! The group has been on 2 cruises together, I think.
Unlike Shell, I would never accuse anyone on this thread of being a blabbermouth. I am a southern gentleman.

This is my dog Max. She is doing well lately. Although today she is not happy about being outside while the painters are here. Her tumor got very small for a while and now it is growing again. We still have no idea how long she will be with us, but are happy for every day we get.

These are my 3 babies at Downtown Disney last December. We took a last minute trip down the week we were supposed to have been cruising. We really had a great time.

Well since everyone did so well to reach our goal, :cool1: I guess you all deserve a break for a couple hours so you can get some work done.
But after that, we need to get right back to it. :yay: :surfweb: I hope more pictures will be posted, that was really nice to see. :3dglasses
Hopefully Pat will get her GKD's pictures posted soon, Lynn you have a few more pictures to share too. Let's keep'em coming everyone :woohoo:

I'm loving the photos of dogs almost as much as the photos of kids :-)
Work is boring today. All I've done is wash dishes and go to the stock room and wash MORE dishes (crucibles). Then, guess what I get to do after lunch? BIngo! Washe even more dishes! Oh the exciting, romantic life of a researcher. (NOT)

Your son looks bigger than Laura, she's 7 months now. I think she's going to be like her mom-tall and lean. Now Cullen - that's a different story. You should have seen him when he was a baby - You couldn't see his eyes because his cheeks were in the way! :goodvibes
Just a reminder for all - October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please show your support and wear the pink ribbons. Thanks. I thought I'd get that out now while it is on my mind ;)
Don't know if we will be getting the t-shirts :sad2: Everyone wants to use the money while on the trip. I'm still trying to work on them :rolleyes1 They all know you'll know who we are when you see us. We travel in herds! Or, we'll be the only ones without the shirts :rotfl2:
Kathy, I'm right there with you and the loud mouth. I'm always the one who is picked to yell for someone. Everyone keeps asking me why I'm yelling. So I'll just yell out names and you'll know it's us ;)

DH and I won Match your Mate on our last cruise!!
He competed in the battle of the bands, but that one is RIGGED!
and he did a pirate dance at the pirate deck party, but there was another guy who did a bunch of break dance moves so he got the LOUDEST votes.
Too fun.

well time to start dinner, DH will be home soon, Just watched Paula Deene make 3 pies, but better not make that for dinner. I have 3 pies in the freezer already that I made a few months ago that we need to use up first.
I will check back later, keep those pictures and posts coming.

Jamie, how was the show? I watched the video of their "concert" show on PBS a few weeks back. It was a lot of fun. They are coming to Atlanta soon, but I missed the opportunity to get tickets.
We love the BMG! We saw their Tubes show in NY and seeing them in a larger arena was a very different experience. The theatre in NY is very tiny and you interact with the Blue Men - you even get to see them in the lobby as you leave. My kids think they're the coolest. My son bought some PVC pipe so he could make music like the BMG. The kids even spray painted their hair blue for the show. Fun stuff!

Well it's a nice crisp fall morning here in NY. Last night was a nightmare for me!! DH was stuck in traffic for 2 hours and DS decided to scream the whole time and plus he was cranky all day!! I think the minute I got into bed I was asleep!! Well Ds got alittle better with the sleeping ;) ;) !! Today I have to run to the bank and make a cake :cake: :cake: for my friend's house. We are going to my friend's house for dinner. Tomorrow DH is going to paint the hallway so me and DS are going to go X-Mas :santa: :santa: :santa: shopping with my Mom to get out of the house while he is painting. Sunday we are going to visit DS's great-grandmother. Anybody have any plans for the weekend???

Happy Friday Everyone! It is a GOOD Friday here in Atlanta. Beautiful day on tap, and I am "working" from home today! ;) I finished up my current project yesterday and will be doing a couple of hours of clean-up work today, but at least I get to do it from home. Then, it will be time to go for a ride in the convertible!
Lisa and I teach a single adult Sunday School class and we are doing a photo scavenger hunt tomorrow afternoon. So, we have to go and find all the clue today and tonight. I will look for some while she is at work, and then we will go riding around tonight to find the rest.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Wendy, I swear I'm going to put big, round glasses on Adam and call him "Ralphie" on the cruise :rotfl2: (re "A Christmas Story", the best Xmas movie ever made :cool1: )
So today I'm driving to work and saw a PERFECT rainbow ... end to end, very bright, and no breaks at the top. Incredible! Is that a sign of good luck??? :goodvibes
Well, I have no pics of babies or little ones except for the furry kind, so here's my contribution. I call this "Guido in Drag" (actually, it's just him with my hair drape over his head ... looks like Senor Wenches' little hand puppet, don'tcha think?! :rotfl2: And oh, how he loves when Mama does this crap to him ... just look at that expression! :lmao: )

Happy Friday,
Pat, your grandkids are adorable. I just wanted to let you know in case you were unsure. :rotfl2:
The stapler in jello is too funny. It does look like it was hard to clean.
Our foyer looks great. I wish we hadn't waited so long to have it painted. But it's done now and I'm happy. 2 more weeks and we get new carpet and Pergo floors in the entire house. That is going to be a fun week. :p
Today I must get bills paid. This weekend I hope to get some house cleaning done. (hope being the big word) My oldest is going to spend the entire day at Busch Gardens,we live 20 minutes away, with her Girl Scout Troop on Saturday. I think Kevin and I might take the other kids over for a couple of hours too. I also want to scrap a couple of pages.
Good weekend to everyone if I don't get back on.

Oooooooooh! We had a BMW once when we lived in Germany. That little sucker was FAST. We LOVED that car. Then we brought it home with us and had people leaving their cards on our windshield wanting to buy it. When it was 6 years old, some kid whacked us and totaled it. We were students at the time and living on GI retired pay, so there wasn't any money for another one. Now, we've moved on to another place. The old wide body is too wide for a Beemer's shaped seats.lol But it was sure fun while it lasted. Enjoy it, JD!
Furnace guy is finally here - glad I don't plan to 'make up' the time. Headache is still here too.
Has anyone been keeping count of the kids - like genders and ages and number?

Hi Everyone!
KATHY - thanks for the pixie dust yesterday :) My back is still bothering me but I went to the chiropractor today and he usually fixes me up pretty good. He's the only chiro I've ever heard of that says "I hope I don't have to see you again" - and he means it in the best of ways. He is not someone who expects you to be a patient for the rest of your life - that's hard to come by in the Northeast!
Everyone's kids and furry kids are soooo cute. I guess I'll have to figure out how to post pics of my two.
Tomorrow we are going to Lancaster, PA to a farm that has this amazing corn maze that they do every year. We love going - DH is a huge fan of corn mazes - it's the little things in life that make him happy. It's always a fun day for us when the four of us get COMPLETELY lost in a corn field and spend a couple of hours trying to find our way out. Can you say "quality family time???" :lmao:
Fortunately tomorrow night we get to unwind...the kiddos are going to my DS's karate school for a FREE Parent's survival night, so DH and I are going out to dinner :Pinkbounc
JEFF - good luck with the new car!
SHELL - eeeewwww! Thank goodness for the airline liquids ban. At least we know you won't be carrying jello to Orlando in Nov. :rotfl:
Have a great day everyone!

Thank you all for the kind words about my gk's. I know that people get tired of hearing me :chat: about them all the time and I promise not to push them on you too much :thumbsup2 Right now they are my life. I watch them for Stephen and Esther when they work. I forgot what it's like to talk to adults anymore! My back hurts, my legs can't move and I can hardly pick my butt up off the floor some days, but boy am I on :cloud9: when I see them come through the door :goodvibes
Tiggerking - Happy hunting tomorrow. I remember when our dd was in the youth group at church and they went on a scavenger hunt. She had the best time. Are you close to Charles Stanley's church? Just was wonderin.
Shell - Oh my gosh! I can't believe how much you and Stephen are going to get along. He loves the movie A Christmas Story. Last year they had a marathon on and guess who was glued to the :happytv:
Cullen and Laura both learned their eating habits from their dad. There are times when we go out to dinner together that I have to hold back from taking the napkin to his chin :rotfl: Just jokin Stephen!
Well, both babies are sleeping and I'm tired. Hoping to grab a peanut butter sandwich.

Lindababe, sorry your headache is still there. lay down and close your eyes for awhile pixiedust: to help it to get better soon. :goodvibes
Shell sent out a list with pictures of all of us, including kids. we are listed as family groups, but no spearate list of kids as far as I know. If you havnt received one of these lists, tell Shell and she will e-mail you one.
Kelly, glad to hear your getting better, backs are pretty painful sometimes. Been there, done that !!!
Well had to put Minnie on antibiotics again, so the fun begins getting them down her. Maybe it will be easier this time. ;)

Hey guys, it's Friday!
Cheer up 'yall. Not that you were angry.
I can't remember who wrote the part saying that they were near boomers (Sorry, I'm too lazy to check who it was), we live very close to there. Not more than five miles off. I love the Perkins that's near there. Too bad the manager went away. He was a good man. A couple of friends of mine work there.
I see we reached the 3000 mark. Way to go! I wanted to be the one to reach it, but so did everyone else I believe.
Here's a picture of my wallpaper on the computer I type on ( :surfweb: ):

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! party: party:
Wow! Lots of posts in a little over 24 hours! :thumbsup2 I spent much of the day shopping yesterday -- Kohl's, Target, groceries. :cool1:
Then we had a busy afternoon with repair people coming out for various projects.
The Office was pretty good. Especially when Jim unlocked Dwight's hotel room! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Shell -- great picture! :rotfl:
I also LOVE A Christmas Story!!!! Our family was hooked on it back in the early 80's when it first came out on video! Our tradition is to have the movie playing while we decorate the tree -- that's the signal that Christmas is approaching! :santa:
Everytime I see something labeled "fragile," my mind reads it as "fra-gee-lay" -- Hmmm, must be Italian!??????
The pictures of the kids, grandkids & dogs were awesome! Keep 'em coming! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I especially love the Prince Charming story.
Better go take care of the hungry family! :stir: popcorn:: :drinking:

Carrie,
have fun at Busch gardens. Have you riden Shekra??? My DH ans GD love that ride, but I can hardly stand to even watch it, way too scary for me!!!
That don't have that one at the Virginia Busch Gardens. But even if they did, my family wouldn't be on it. We aren't roller coaster/fast ride people. I do go on a couple of tamer rides with my 13 yo but only for her. I just enjoy walking around the park, seeing shows, and letting the kids play. On occasion an ice cream or funnel cake. :yay:

Josh,
once you have your pictures down loaded onto your computer, go to www.photobucket.com and start yourself a photo album there. It is a free service.
Once you've registered there just click the browse button and a box should appear with your computer files listed, click on your picture file, or folder, then select your picture by clicking on it, then click on the OPEN box at the bottom of the box. Then the box will disappear and you will see a box that says UPLOAD, click on it. It will take a few seconds, but then you should be able to scroll down and see your picture in your album. Do this to all the pictures you want tp post.
Ok now look under your picture and you will see 3 oblong boxes there with letters and numbers in them
Click on the bottom box to highlight it, then copy and paste to your post.
I dont know how to do more than one at a time, others could probably help you with that. I just do one at a time.
I hope this makes sense to you, it is hard to just remember it.
Just play around with it and I'm sure you'll be able to figure out anything I may of missed. :rolleyes1
Good luck!!!
Iwill be looking for pictures from you real soon,
Kathy

Lindababe you are bright and early for a saturday.
You beat me by almost 2 hours, of course I was up by 5 but just been doing other things first this morning.
We do have a couple other grandma's on this thread. But we wont ask which is the oldest, we all look young enough to be their mom's NOT grandma's!! And I will smack anyone over the head with my CANE that doesnt agree with me!!! :rotfl2: Or take my teeth out and bite them, that'll teach 'em to repect their elders!!!! :lmao:
well no real plans today. Gonna buy some red mulch for the flower beds sometime this weekend. Either this weekend or next we will go to Epcot to the food and wine festival. That is always fun and goes for a few weeks, so no big hurry to get there.

Hey, has anyone heard if they are playing the second pirates of the carib. movie on the ship?? My DD and I saw it but Josh and DH haven't-I hope it plays on the big screen on deck 9-we loved that screen. My DH sat up on deck 10 the last time we were there and watched the incrediables all by himself-said he sat there and cracked up all alone-that is except some other guy that was there laughing too by himself--what a funny sight that must have been-2 grown men watching this movie alone and busting up :dance3:
My mom is getting out of the skilled nursing facility today after her course of IV antibiotics-she is so happy as is my stepfather who can't cook :stir: -he's been eating fast food per my mom!!

Happy Weekend Banana Heads    from cold, dreary Akron, Ohio ... where ALL the fun is (NOT)! :sad2:
Not much going on here ... it's ugly (as I mentioned) and so today I think I'll work on door signs (yes, I actually get to make a couple!) and it's a perfect day for making soup that we'll eat for dinner over the week. I'm starting with a Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup which is a staple in our house in the winter ... it's awesome! :goodvibes
Good pic, Josh.
Wendy, allow me to retort. In no way is Bill in the "doghouse" right now ... in fact, I keep telling him "YOU NEED TO POST!" but he says the cruise is just too far away yet and not coming fast enough! Kids ... :sad2:
I'm so excited that I will have fellow Christmas Story afficiandos with me on the cruise :happytv: ! It's a staple here. On Xmas Eve at 8 p.m., the TV goes to TBS and stays there for 24 hours (makes Bill cringe, which makes it all the more fun :rotfl2: ). Everytime I turn it on, there's my Ralphie, Randy, Schwartz and Flick! I also have it on DVD so I can watch it anytime, plus don't forget that they usually play it on Thanksgiving night, too (how sad that I know all this? :rotfl2: ) My favorite line: "But the bell rang!" (it has such an innocence to it that we can all identify with). Bill's line is "Not a finga!" Hmmm ... there's still a couple of months till Xmas ... maybe Bill would like homemade bunny jammies ... :lmao:
See ya! GO BUCKEYES!

Good afternoon everyone!
It's actually a nice sunny 69 degrees here -- I better go outside and "play" with the boxelder bugs! One thing I hate about :sunny: days in the fall -- the bugs that come out and swarm around the house. :furious:
We've had a rather busy morning so far. We got an early call from DH's sister saying that their ice cream shop was broken into and had a fire. DH got the insurance claim set up for them (he's the agent for their policy) and then headed over there to see what was salvagable.
I headed in the opposite direction since I had a trail race this morning. Found out that one of my running buddies is actually the husband of my third grade teacher!! :teacher: The funny thing was when I told him my maiden name and he instantly knew who my family was! Guess we must've made quite an impression on his wife! :lmao:
Now everyone is napping (I just got up and have the house and, more importantly, the computer all to myself! :cool1: ).
Ahhhh, Christmas Story :santa:  . Can't think of my very favorite scene or lines -- there's the flag pole, the Scott Farkus affair (as it came to be known), the tire-changing, the visit to Santa, the Bumpus hounds, and the imfamous lamp! I may have to pop the movie in and watch it! :happytv: I think my dad would get a real kick (no pun intended) out of the leg lamp!
Suppose I better get some cleaning done before I hunker down to watch the Nebraska/Kansas game.
Denise, have a great time at the concert! :thumbsup2
Shell -- make some extra chicken tortilla soup and send it our way! :stir: My DD absolutely LOVES it! She orders it whenever we go out to eat!
56 days sounds so close!    Josh, loved the Mickey picture ::MickeyMo !

Lynn, where in NY do you live that you had frost on the cars??? We didn't even get below 40!
Any Scrapbookers among us? My LSS is having an 18 hour "crop-for-the cure". I signed up because all the other fund raisers are runs, which I can't do. Now, I'm wondering how I'll stay awake for 18 hours (+travel time) and what the heck will keep me busy that long. Wish some of y'all lived closer!
Today, we went to the transfer station, bookstore, then while B. watched Notre Dame, I went grocery shopping, scrapbook store, Boscovs to pick up my dress (I don't love the skirt, but the top is very pretty) for formal night. Now, I think I'll go watch the inside of my eyelids.

Good Morning, All!
You must live in the mountains, then, Lynn! We live in Schenectady County now - whe we lived across the river in Rensselaer county we always got frost WAY earlier than down here. Even at only 410 feet elevation, it was zone 4. What do you have for scrapbook stores down that way? (I'm afraid ours is going to go out of business in the near future - the now sole owner is NOT a business woman)
I have piles started - a pile to ship to the world - a pile to ship to the ship - a pile to pack for the world - a pile to pack for the cruise and a pile to ship to Shirley for DH's gift basket. Still seeking ideas for a Man's gift basket - so far, I have paperback books, coronas, water cameras and nuts. Anything else?
Today, I'm going to the state museum and lunch with a gf. Not very exciting, but I like to try to keep in touch. Oh Cr*P! I have to leave in an hour! BYE

glad you enjoyed watching the ship. I missed it because we were watching the tape of our last cruise. :happytv:
I actually beat you up this morning, but didnt post, I was up at 3:50, didnt feel well, but i have no proof accept my yawns and blood shot eyes :rotfl:
Linda, I do a cross between scrap booking and a photo album of our cruises. I use the album with all our photos and papers from the cruise, but I decorate it up with scrap booking stuff to make it special. I have no idea what I am doing but it is fun, so I am happy with it. ;)
It is so nice to know I am not the OLDEST anymore!!!! :rotfl2:
But we wont mention it, I probably have more grey hairs or wrinkles or something, so we will keep all of this hush hush??
We need to pick up the amounts of posts today because we fell a little short yesterday for what we need to do each day to make the 4000 posts.
Lets see mor epicutre you guys, I'll bet there are some good ones out there!!!
I will check back later to see what's happening, have a great morning everyone, :goodvibes

Kathy, yes my mom has a computer and is on it alot, she will probably lurk for awhile, but I will try to convince her to post.
Linda, do you ever order from the online stores? I have found some really cute things from them.Plus whenever we go to Disney I have to go to the scrapbook store I found there. They have great disney things that the store by me doesn't carry.
Pat, my DH is off to Sam's also this morning its my MIL birthday and he is going to get her a plant from there and pick up a cake. I am getting a cold so he took mercy on me and wasn't making me bake one.

Hello All,
Well just finished breakfast and gave DS his cereal. DH is going to Sam's Club because it has been raining really hard since I got up at 4:30am. DH don't like when I go to Sam's Club because I can buy everything in that place!! One time he wrote the list because I was going on my day off and in BIG LETTERS on the bottom it said " ONLY BUY WHAT IS ON THE LIST LYNN!!"..
I just ordered the cutest X-mas wrapping paper from Current catalog. It's Elmo with a Santa. DS is going to love it    !! Well I am going to start my Beef Stew since DS just fall asleep on my lap!!
Talk to you all later :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

BYE
Linda,
We have AC Moore is get they have four aisles just for scrapbooking. They even have a whole selection of Disney scrapbooking stuff. I mostly get all my stuff there. They just opened a Michael's but hasn't gone in yet to see they selection.
You are being the basket onboard with you?? I want to do something like that for my DH since we are celebrating his 30th.

Scutt Farkas! He had yellow eyes ... so help me God, yellow eyes! Randy lay there like a slug ... it was his only defense! :lmao:
Good morning Banana Heads
Wendy, will you marry me :bride: ? We don't need much ... we'll just live in your craft room and live happily ever after! Those pics just hurt ... we don't have room for that here at our home :sad2: , but there's a house we've been looking at and contemplating to buy, and I told Bill the 3rd bedroom would be a craft room. Now I see how it could be and want it even more! *sigh*
Wendy's mom (we need a name at least!): NO LURKING!!! In order to be a Banana Head, you have to post!!! For the most part, we're normal (and if you believe that, I have some swamp land to sell you ... :lmao: Oh wait, being in NO, you probably already have enough of that, huh? :lmao: )
Just picked a bunch of red hot chili's, banana peppers (ironic, huh?) and habeneros from the garden. Very cool and damp this morning, but the skies are blue and at least we'll get some sun :sunny: .
Have a good day ... check in with you later.

If you dont have enough room, I'm sure a few of us could help.

we are even more  in person, so posting here will prepare you for that!!
No need to be shy, you'll only see us for 7 days out of your life, so speak right up.

Glad your parents are coming along. When we first talked about going on this trip I was concerned that we would feel out of place because we didn't have small children. Then I realized that we were the small children :rotfl2:

Pat, we not only don't have SMALL children with us, we won't have ANY children with us. But nobody's going to see their kids anyway, right? After they get going in the clubs. Except Lynn - hers is too little - Lynn, is he even old enough for Flounders?
Oh! Somebody asked about the basket - NOT bringing it self - ordering it from Shirley of the perfect gift. But i'm sending her a little stuff to put in it, and requesting the Corona's.
Shipping the formal clothes, though, and some other stuff that I don't want to mess with. I have enough to handle for the week+ that we're in WDW mostly in a villa, surprises for traveling companions, etc.
I need to go back and read the photo posting instructions - my craft area is the end of my kitchen - I designed it to use furniture we already had and dh executed it. I DREAD the thought of moving it to paint when we renovate the kitchen.

All you good cooks out there...anyone have a recipe for habenaro (?sp) salsa?
We had a recipe, but seemed to have misplaced it. Now all are peppers are ready and we cant seem to find one. We would greatley appreciate it...
Well we just got done cutting the lawn. Taking a break then I going to start getting dinner ready.
Jack, my dog, is on a tie out. We dont have a fenced yard, and since he only listens to the "come command" when it suits him, we keep him on this tie out. So we are finishing cutting the lawn, putting things away, the two dogs are behind me on the deck. I'm locking up the shed and I can see Jack coming down off the deck...he can only go so far....so I continue locking the shed...the next thing I know he walks past me, behind the shed like this is an every day accurance....crazy  dog, the tie out broke and he is just walking around... :teeth: he is such a goofy dog. I get worried as we have a corner lot, and I'm always worried he will run into the street...its a fairly busy street. Dogs...gotta love them.. :goodvibes

Hey everyone,
There are an awful lot of LOST references. Anyone else stoked that it starts back up on Wed? I watch ABC just to see if there are any new commercials to catch a glimpse of something that I haven't seen from one of the old commercials.
We went to MGM Sat. and Cullen saw the Muppet 3D movie, that was the funniest thing I have ever seen. He kept ducking and moving out of the way of all the stuff that came out of the screen, it was so funny. Then he would take his glasses off and look at the screen then put them right back on, I guess trying to figure out what was going on. He sat glued to it though.
Alright, I have some work to finish up...see you guys, in what, 53 days?

Very terrible news coming from FourFoxes neighborhood. The Amish school shooting is just 5 or so miles from our home. Our school did not lock down but very closely monitored the situation. So sad. To attack the most peaceful, innocent people. Just tragic.

That's crazy, I saw it on the news when I went for lunch, are they saying why the person did it?

That is terrible, I havnt had any news on today, guess I'd better do some catch up.
It is so sad, when we were in school it was an occasional fist fight and you could still get a spanking from the principal, but the was the worst of our worries. Todays kids have to worry everyday is someone is going to shoot up their school. Unbelievable!!! :sad2:

Good Afternoon Everyone,
My sister came over for lunch which was very nice. DS is having a VERY cranky day and the only thing that is not making him cry is ELMO!! What every works :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !! I so sad because me and DH go around the house singing the ELMO song because we seen it so much :teeth: !!
On a sad :sad2: note can you believe another school shotting. One last week and another this week. I feel so bad for the Amish families. They were showing them all hugging and crying. School used to be a place where children can feel safe. With the society today that has changed for the worst! I can't believe that a person with probelms would take it on innocent children!! Well my heart goes out to thoses Amish families!!
Well I am going to cook Polenta to go with the left over stew from yesterday. Talk to you all later!!

Good afternoon everyone!
Looks like we were pretty busy on the boards in the last day and a half. :thumbsup2
We had DH's family over yesterday to eat burgers / hot dogs / fries, etc. that they salvaged from the fire in their restaurant early Saturday morning. Turns out it was arsen -- they tried starting fires in three separate areas. Luckily, it's a concrete block building, so the damage was on the inside. I sure hope they catch and prosecute the guilty parties. :furious:
The school shooting news is also tragic. Is that the third one in the past week?? Colorado, a principal was shot in WI, and now this. :sad2: :sad2:
Onto to happy news -- :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc DH bought me my own laptop so I can be on the DIS whenever I need to be! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :disrocks:
Shell, love the pictures!! You look fabulous! Wendy, you and your new friend look splendid, too! I think I'd like Jim from The Office to accompany me just so we can work on Jell-o dessert designs! :stir: :rotfl2: Are you in, Shell???? :thumbsup2
Better get going. I have to run to the store to buy 26 Gogurts for DD's snack tomorrow. (Of course, the list came out the day after I went to the grocery store!)

JAMIE - I was in tears watching the news today. Me and DH and the kids go out to Lancaster all the time...we absolutely love it. As a matter of fact we were just there on Sat. It breaks my heart to see such a peaceful community going thru something tragic. My heart goes out to everyone in the area. I'm glad you guys are ok.
It really stinks that our kids have to experience these horrible type of events. Like someone said earlier...a fist fight was the biggest happening at my school growing up....my thoughts and prayers are with all of the communities dealing with the tragedies of the past week.
Sorry I've been MIA...we were out all day on Sat. and then Sunday I spent on the couch nursing my back...yes, it's still not right :sad1: Sitting is not the most comfortable position so I haven't been on the computer much. I'm hoping over the next couple of days there should be some improvement. I went back to my chiro again today..so we'll see.
KATHY - I hope you are feeling better today. Here, let me return the gesture pixiedust: pixiedust: Better now?
I can't believe how close we are getting to cruising. I really haven't done too much yet...I hope I'm not feeling a false sense of security because I've done this already. I'll be running around like a crazy woman a week before
I hope everyone has a great night!

Hey Steve,
How is Laura doing?? Are you using Flounder's nursery while onboard??
Laura's doing fine, thanks for asking, she hasn't had anymore episodes, so we aren't sure what was going on. The Dr. said babies do funny things sometimes.
We will be using Flounders, just not sure when. We all want to try to go to Palo's for brunch but didn't get it at the 75 day mark, trying when we get on ship, so they'll probably get to Flounders then. We've discussed at length and aren't sure if we will be putting them in there for a "break", Cullens like a sponge right now, everything's new to him and it's awesome to watch him see things for the first time.
But that's not to say I won't be over ruled by a massage! :rotfl:

Kelly, have you tried core exercises? I haven't been to my chiropractor in about 4 years since i've been doing those. It takes about 15 minutes a day and has really helped my pain and flexibility (I have fibro). The book is "the core program" by Peggy Brill.

Hello Everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA for the past little while. Things just seem to hectic. I have been lurking and reading though - just didn't post.
Jamie - so sorry to hear about the tragedy so close to home. How someone could do that to anyone, let alone children is beyond me. :grouphug:
Kelly - sorry to hear about your back. I have a real problem with mine too. DH and I took an adults only trip to WDW last Sept and I think sleeping at the HI before the flight killed me. I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst spasms I have ever had. Spent 2 hrs in the shower under the hot water. It was worse than labour (OK, well maybe not worse - but close....and there was no epidural!). So, made it on the plane and decided to put my head in DHs lap as I was SO tired. Anyway, went to straighten up and tweaked it again - AGONY!!!!! Stuck in a SWA seat spasming like no tomorrow and trying not to scream. I got up and went to the back - crying going down the aisle. People must have thought I was loony. Anyway, there I am in the back washroom area hanging on to the wall, crying and trying not to fall to my knees every time I had a spasm. It was horrendous. I couldn't wait to get to a pharmacy in Orlando to get some 'good american drugs' but alas I find out you can get muscle relaxers in the US without a prescription - OMG!!!!!!!!! Anyway, by that time I am just a disaster, so we got some
A5-35 and heating pads and hoped for the best. It slowly got better thank god - and I was in WDW so at least that made it nicer. The pool also helped. But I felt bad when I went on rides because I reeked of Ben-Gay LOL. Anyway, hope you feel better soon!
Seems like things are OK with everyone else - busy yes, but OK. Lynn - hoping DS gives you a bit of a break soon.....this too shall pass as they say.
Tonight I am watching House so will miss DWTS - but I am sure I will be kept well informed by the addicts on this board who shall remain nameless LOL
I am hopefully going to order my Pirate outfit today. Got DS a tux from another Ontario DISr - $20 can't go wrong!!!!!
Steve grabbed a PIN started kit for DS - THANK YOU STEVE!!!!!!! And thanks to everyone else who offered. I may have to take you guys who are lucky enough to visit the world fairly often up on another offer so I can have a few special treats for DS along the way.....gotta love Disney :cheer2:
We can't WAIT for this cruise and think it will be just great. By November that Carribean sun is going to feel SO great. :sunny: :sunny:
Talk to you all soon - take care!

Kelly, I hope your back gets better real soon. I have a similar story to Sarah, but it was our first DCL cruise. I have had back problems for 20 years. The night before our cruise, we are starting to pack and I do something to my back. We have this little shower massager thing, and DW used it to rub some Icy Hot on my lower back. As she finishes packing, I am laying in bed just praying I don't have to cancel the cruise. The next morning, I just stayed in bed until I felt like I could make the drive to Orlando (6.5 hours). Throughout the cruise, DW would use that little massager to keep me bathed in Icy Hot in the mornings and before bed. It kept me going enough to enjoy the cruise, thank goodness!

Kelly... sorry to hear about your back. I have some linament if you want it. The bottle dates to the late 1800's and is still full with the original contents.
I tried it some time ago when I had sore muscles in my leg. It worked reasonably well to loosen it up and Woo steered clear of me for a couple days because of the odor. They used some unusual ingredients including cayenne peppers and distilled turpentine. Its yours for the asking.
Hope everyones day is goin good.

In our local paper a few months back it was announced that DCL did have another ship allplanned, they had submitted the plans for approval, but it also sad they were NOT going to build it until the dollar and the euro (spelling??) were stronger.
That was all it said. Here in Florida, if Disney does anything at all it makes the paper ASAP!!! But there has been nothing since then.

Hey Everyone!
Thanks so much for the well wishes and all the great tips for my back. I have a herniated disc in my lower back so I know what is causing the problem...I aggravated it really bad back in Feb. and I'm still on the road to recovery I guess.
I only see the chiro. when it's acting up. As for the Core exercise...I do those too. I take Jazzercise classes and we do a LOT of core work. The only problem is that it's VERY lower back intensive a lot of the time and if I overdue it I pay. Guess what??? I overdid it 2 weeks ago...I was stupid...did a routine 2 days in row that I shouldn't have done and then went walking in New York and bowling. Duh...I know! Everytime I aggravate it I think I've learned my lesson. Hopefully I will be a little smarter this time.
I've gotta run DS to karate. I'll be back later!

CHERI - I too was thinking that if DH would buy ME a laptop life would be easier :)
BILL - by the way....I'll pass on the ancient chinese secret ointment ...I'll stick to good old fashioned Biofreeze. Have you heard of it...the stuff is AWESOME!
FYI on the back injury stuff....my Drs. have told me that when you have injured your back ice is actually the best thing for a while, sometimes up to a week, until the inflammation goes down. Heat draws more blood to the area and can cause more throbbing. I've found that walking around with a cold pack on my lower back(in the house of course) has helped tremendously, but in the morning there is nothing liike a nice hot shower to get rid of the achiness from lying in bed all night.
I agree with the staying healthy stuff. There is way too much fun to be had on the Magic and I don't plan on missing any of it :Pinkbounc
BOB- how did the scavenger hunt go this weekend?
LUCINDA - :grouphug: Has anything happened with your daughter that maybe she isn't telling you? Is something wrong at school? Is the move in with your in-laws upset her? Hang in there...my DD will be 11 in a couple of weeks and her hormones are raging - (Sorry Bob ;) )

It turned blue about a half hour later. Esther told me to put a really tight shoe on to help "pop" it back in place and now my entire foot is numb. Who said to be careful these next couple of weeks? Guess they didn't mean me.
The thing that really upsets me is exercise. Now I won't be able to walk on the treadmill tomorrow. :furious:
Hope all of you have a good evening, at least better than my day went.

What a beautiful fall day in mid-Michigan.
Go Tigers!!! -- oops, sorry Lynn. I know you're a Yankees fan. My DD and her DH are going to the game on Saturday. Best part is we get their kids for an overnight visit.
My fellow DISers with hurting backs, toes, etc. Get well soon!!! We all have to be healthy when we are on our long awaited cruise.
Talk to everyone tomorrow. Jan

:dance3: evening all....I know I didnt post much last night...just was not in the zone.....just a crazy day and was extremely tired.
Pat....so sorry for your toe....I broke my little toe about a month ago and its still sore....better but not 100 % yet. Actually I wear gym shoes to work all day...then when I got home would put my flip/flops on....that seemed to work for me. But even now putting on my shoes for work, its still hurts some.
Well someone stole my DH wallet at work today. He works in a steel plant. He leaves his wallet, in his office, in his breif case. So when he went to leave for home, he noticed it was missing. Went down in the plant and asked the workers..they said they saw some guy go upstairs into his office earlier in the day. No one stopped him nor said nothing to anyone.. :confused3 so by the time he got home from work and called his credit cards they had already made charges on them. :sad2: so tomorrow we have to go to the DMV to get a new license for him. What a pain in the butt.... :
Nothing else new here, will post later tonight....

DENISE - sorry to hear about your DH's wallet. The same thing happen to us a number of years ago. Long story short...the guy bought a motorcycle using my DH"s info. He was caught and prosecuted...but what a pain in the you know what.
We had to call all 3 Credit Reporting Agencies and put "Security Alerts" on our accts. Even with that the guy was able to purchase the bike because someone didn't read the full credit report....

Mornin everyone, Late start here today. I couldn't drag myself out of bed until 6 a.m. I hate that, it makes me feel like half the day is gone. Believe me, at my age, that's not a good thing ;)
The toe woke me up a few times last night. I think I might have gotten two of them. When I woke up I felt like Adam Sandler in the movie Mr. Deeds with his black foot! I never saw such colors on toes before :rotfl: I can walk on it, just a bit sore. The flip flops :thumbsup2 - thanks. I'm even feeling brave enough to try the treadmill at the gym. If I can put on my shoes.
I had my purse taken once too. It was at the office I was working at. I left my desk to go upstairs and came back to get my purse and it was gone! Some guy from the pizza place down the street called me at home and said they found my purse in their trash can. Everything except my little book where I kept phone numbers was taken. What a pain it is. You also worry about your own safety so we changed the locks on the doors at the house too. (my keys were in there too) Isn't life great. I will never understand some people or things as long as I live.
I hope everyone is feeling better today. My back finally stopped hurting! I took a LOT of medication. That could be the reason for going to bed sooooo early :goodvibes
Today is Cullen's 2nd b'day party: :bday: Boy, time flies by Lynn. Remember to treasure each day with your little guy. Also, write little things down so you can remember them. They say such cute things and YOU WILL FORGET them if you don't write them down.

Pat, I know what you mean about them growing up so fast. I have kept a journal for Austin since I found out I was pregnant for him and I write down all the cute things he has said and done in them. My favorite and now that he is 12 he will hate me for this but,,,, when he was 3 we were at WDW and staying at the campground, he was desperate for a Davy Crockett coonskin cap. After my dad bought him for him he walked around so proudly I asked who are you thinking he would tell me Davy since we had been singing the song to him all day but no he responds " I'm Baby Crickett" It was so cute we did not have the heart to correct him :rotfl2:

Mutt -- careful with those flesh wounds. Reminds me of the old SNL skit with Dan Akyroyd (sp?) as Julia Child when she cuts herself while cutting up chicken. "Oh I cut the dickens out of my hand." I may not have the quote exact -- having to go off of memory!
Not much going on this morning. It's supposed to rain today.

Okay. Man I had a lot of catching up to do this morning! Had a very busy afternoon yesterday. Stopped on the way home to pick up some supplies and made dinner for Lisa last night. We had bowtie pasta with a cream sauce with bell peppers, onions and smoked sausage in it. We both LOVE this recipe. DW saw a picture of it several years ago without a recipe, and I created my own. VERY easy to make...it takes less than 30 minutes (Rachael Ray would be proud!).
As far as the scavenger hunt this weekend, it went okay. We really only had four people show up, but they went out as one team and did the pictures anyway. It was a blast to see the pictures because two of the requirements were one of the females being kissed by a fireman and one of the guys being kissed by a Waffle House waitress. Well the guy ended up with waitresses kissing both cheeks, so he was happy!
Doing a little car research this week. We had an issue with DW's Explorer on Friday night and think it might be time to start looking to replace it. I mean, it only has 185,000 miles on it! So, she is driving the Mustang this week, and was really tore up about having to do it!
Bill: "We demand a sacrifice!"

Wendy, that is too cute! Aren't kids great. Just when you think you can't stand the way your day is going, they pop out with something that puts the :sunny: back in it.
Ok Lynn, that's two of us who think writing stuff down is a fantastic idea. Only wish I would have done it when my two were little. Stephen was/is so darn funny. You have to listen close to him or you'll miss it. He takes after my dad. Very very quick. Then there is our dd, oh my gosh...she can keep you laughing for hours.
Just talked to Stephen and he is on his way to magic kingdom with Cullen so Cullen can get his happy birthday pin! Aren't annual passes great! And the fact that we only live 90 mins. away :thumbsup2 We use to live only l hour away. Then they built all those houses, stores, apartments etc...that brought the stop lights :sad2: If you men are anything like my dh those stop lights are a pain in the you know what. It makes him :furious: One or two are ok, but at every corner...I hate riding with him sometimes.

Just time for a little bump here, to keep us visible. Dusting the disabled! (I'm actually feeling good for a change!
Hi all. I feel Like i've been gone from the board forever. I had pages to catch up on. Not much new here. I changed banks yesterday due to some customer service issues with our previous lender (someone I had been with for more than 20 years). It was actually an exhausting experience even though the new bank is doing everything to make it as easy as possible. I think that wore me out for three days! Now I have to get some work done to catch up on what I didn't do yesterday.
After reading incredible reviews, I watched a bit of Friday Night Lights last night. It was a great show and may be my second "must tape" show of the week in addition to the Amazing Race. I dunno how I'll keep up on it all.
Oh and for you Lost afficianados, I started renting the first two seasons to watch while I'm stuck at airports or sitting on planes and now I'm hooked. the only problem is that I'm almost a year behind. So if you are going to talk about it here I am going to have to stay away! I think I'm on episode nine from the second season. The tailies just came into camp with the original crew. What an incredibly well written show this is. The character development is like nothing I've ever seen on TV before.

Wendy that was such a cute story about your son: I didnt write down stuff, but this is my favoriate story of my son. He is now 24 and would most likely shoot me if he knew I was telling people this story. He was about 3 years old. He had this short outfit, black shorts and a gray short shirt, which showed off his tummy. So when he would be out playing, his sister and her friend who were about 5 yrs old...would say to him...."What a sexy boy"....he hated it, he would come in the house crying and say make them stop saying that...I would just kinda laugh and say one of these days, you are going to want the girls to say that.....but he just hated it....I think he thought it was something bad at that time.... :rotfl: Oh well...such fond memories. Sarah -- good trivia for A Christmas Story! Good Evening All!
Still raining in mid-Michigan. Another gloomy day here. Just makes me want to be in Orlando sooner than 11/24.
Tonya -- I love the new design! Another yes vote.
Jeff, Linda and Kathy -- Count me in on not knowingmuch on TV at all, except for news shows. I know nothing about the reality shows, ER, Desperate Housewives, etc.
Eight weeks from today, we will be cruising after leaving St. Thomas. I don't like sea day on Thursday on the Eastern, as there's only one day left of the cruise.

Well we got everything settled with DH drivers license and our bank cards. We did get another call today from one of our other credit cards...some activity on there yesterday...what a pain..but we have everything pretty well cancelled and straightend out so hopefully this will be the end of this mess.
Well thats about it for now later nana heads......

Count me in the minority, Tonya, I loved the shirts but HATE AND LOATHE the banana. At least the turkey reminded us it's Thanksgiving weekend!
