The name can and should be changed but there is time for that to settle in. :thumbsup2 PARTY ON!!! We started after the 12/9/06 cruise on page 4450.

DIS GROUP MARGARITAS AROUND THE ISLAND JEEP TOUR IN COZUMEL TOUR SIGN UP CLOSED

Please pm lbgraves to have your name added to the list on the website.

This tour is being coordinated by Todd AKA DisneyVegas1 AKA Jack Sparrow. Please submit your name by 8/10/06 so that arrangements can be made to reserve enough jeeps for everyone.

Here is our plan ---When we get to Coz we are getting off the ship as early as we can (hopefully we will be docking by then ....Rent a Jeep and heading out ....Probably will be back in town around 1 - 1:30 - grab a late lunch at Casa Denis and head back to the ship by around 4 ish. we wont be doing any off road stuff unless the road is still washed out to Playa del Corona which it really isnt off road but a dirt road to get there which is only about 100 yds...

We will stop at three different Bar's /Beaches and probably stop at a lonely beach or two ...Our main stop will be at Coconuts ...it sits on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean ..it is very beautiful, this is a fun place and if you dare you can either look at the family albums or join the family albums
...Hence the name Coconuts ...(just so you know , if you join it would never be in front of strangers or kids ..LOL ) There is no electricity there so everything is cooked on a grill and its great ...

DIS GROUP RUINS TOUR IN COSTA MAYA TOUR SIGN UP CLOSED

Current group count: 89

I have been in touch with David Villagomez from The Native Choice regarding arranging a group tour of the Chacobben Ruins for us. Their website is www.thenativechoice.com.

Here is what we have discussed:

Description of tour by David:
Some areas in different sites have been forbidden direct access by the Federal Government due to vandalism. The kids are allowed to climb the big foundations and almost all of the ruins. The archeologists are afraid that the ceilings of some unopened tombs may collapse, so some cannot be climbed on.

Kid will enjoy the tour. They will find small fruits like coconuts from a palm tree. We are not allowed to open them. The place has a nice jungle, termites nests, vines, trees, palms, bromeliads, and orchids. He will give some of the plants and leaves to the kids personally with an interactive tour as long as the parents agree.

Cost:
Adults and kids 12+: $50.00
Kids 11 & under: $47.00

We will be picked up at the pier at 8:30 am to avoid having to get a taxi to the city where the tour normally starts.

Please let me know if you are interested in booking this tour with the DIS group by Sunday. I need to get a count to David so that he can reserve the space for us & arrange for transportation...probably a bus for us.

Please see http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=13649827&postcount=7167 for more details regarding the tour.

Am I booking, not booking. Cruising, not cruising.

I was looking at this cruise on Thursday, December 30, 2004 and it was almost $400.00 :faint: cheaper then it was on New Years Day 2005. That was why I had deleted/edit my last post saying I was going. It scared me how fast the price had gone up:scared:. Lots of people booked on the ship this week!

But today January 2nd, 2005, I decide who needs a window I am going on this cruise!:boat: I have a mid ship room and a bed that will rock side to side instead of head to toe, so I can do without the window! Had the head to toe rock last time, I was so sick!

We get to see Castaway twice, dressed up for Christmas and the Ship all pretty too! I can't wait. Costa Maya looks like it is a very relaxing stop.

I am at this point going solo so I am looking to join up for meals, please Disney don't put me at a table with 4 people again, I want to be at a big table, lots of people and kids! ::yes:: I love eating with kids they always have great adventures from their day to tell!:chat: I have chosen early seating so bring on the kids! I have been told that I am the best aunt in the world!

This will be my thrid cruise and I know tips from DCL, I am in the passporter book! :mickeybar (just a couple of lines, but hey I'm published, lol)

Looking foward to this cruise very much, have a couple of WDW trips before it so that will keep me going till then!:goodvibes

PJPoohBear, welcome. We are dining late so won't be able to hook up with you. But, I know that dining reservations can be linked as we just did that with LOTS of folks on the 10 Day Christmas cruise. We will just need to get this thread moving, get folks signed up, then we can link reservations. :Pinkbounc :flower:

OK my deposit is in...... :boat:

It will be me, DH, and our DD (who will be 13 at sailing if we let her live that long.) We're staying in one of those larger sideways cat 11's on deck 6.

ONLY 23 more months to go..... :cool1:

This will be our second Disney cruise and we can't wait. Our girls are 4,6 and 7 now. Last time we stayed in a 4 but rarely used the verandah. This time we're getting 2 connecting 9's and it's costing less $ than we paid for the one room last time. Planning this far ahead makes the waiting unbearable but you definitely get better value!! :cool1:

MrsMork

Will probably just be DH and myself. I am trying to talk a nephew and his wife into going with us. Our kids are grown and the grandkids are not going this trip. We have cruised 6 times with Disney, we have 2 more booked including this one and are waitlisted for the DVC members only cruise. Guess you could say we are addicted. :D

Hi all!

Didn't they used to show a screen with your res# after you paid, never saw it this time. Have called the last three days to get it and could not get through on the Castaway line. The regular line is just so much less congested!

So, they found my number, after trying my name three different ways! And thanks to GoofyforLife, I was reminded what a great option the deck 6 cat 11 sideway staterooms are! So moved from deck 7 mid ship to Deck 6, 6515! Down from the elevator, but not to far! And right across from our very first stateroom way back in 2002. But the sofa is a head to toe rocker, so I get the bed. The bed isn't a head to toe rocker right? Does anyone have photos of those rooms?

Penny

23 months, how will we last?

goofyforlife
01-07-2005, 02:27 PM
Penny,

We had that room on our second cruise. You enter the room in the middle.

The bath is to your left. The couch is in front of you. The bed is to your right and the head of the bed is towards the middle of the boat.

The nightstand is to the right of the doorway in front of the bed.

We will be neighbors sorta..... we are in 6019.

My DW picked this one for the new stops and the double dip! I just smiled real big while she was making the reservations.

Hope to hear a lot about you all in the many months to come. By cruise time I will be 54 and my DW (Annette) will be 52. :hourglass

My in-laws did the DCL Tulum tour on our last Western cruise. They loved it - the bus was comfortable, the ruins were interesting, and the beach was beautiful. The only thing bad was the rough seas on the ferry to the mainland.

I think we might pass on the Tulum tour and try a Mayan Ruins tour in Costa Maya. I don't think they last as long (which might be good for my DS).

Glad the thread is getting some action. It was quiet for too long! :sunny:

I'm not sure what you guy all want to hear from each other, but here goes.
My sons are in westling season now. my older son 7, got 2nd last weekend and this weekend at the matches, he is unpinded and lost for 1st place both times by two pionts in his 7-8 year old cat. The 8 yold that he lost 1st to this weekend was on his team just in a higher class, said that he has pinned everyone this year but my son. my 5 year old has not gotten a medal yet this year but has also never been pinned. My 5 year old has pinned 3 kids and my 7 year old has 4 kids, 1 in under 10 secs. One kid forfitted with 10 sec to go, he did not want to go back out on the mat with him ( Spencer had wrestled him this year and lost by pionts to him once). They are doing great, we have two more saterdays to go then state, which I don't want to go to this year, two long of a day. last year my then 6 yearold only lost to one boy. I hope you are all doing well. I ordered the new cruise dvd. Hope it gets here soon. I am working on saving enough to stay at wdw for 7 days before the cruise and will see how that works out. what have you guys been up too?

I have been working 6 days a week at my job, have a girl here at work who dosen't show up, if she has a sniffle and also won't lift a half pound book, too heavy she says! :rotfl2:. (BTW, I work in a University Bookstore, one of the largest in North America.)

But of this over time is great, because I am now going Solo to the World this October. :cool1: This will help with the 21 months we have left. I miss my cruise countdown clock, but can't find one that will do that long of a count. I volunteered for the new countdown testing, so lets see what happens there!

Thanks for the news on your sons. That is the kind of info that makes this thread so great. By the time we get to meet we will know a lot about each other. I think that it makes the cruise experience much better.

It looks like my plans to visit Disneyland may fall through but we do hope to visit WDW in May. We have a conference to attend in Atlanta then. What we do is fly to Orlando stay a few days, rent a car and drive to Atlanta, do the conference then drive back to WDW for a few more days then fly home. Yes, we are crazy about the Mouse.

Looking forward to hearing more

[font=Arial Black]I decide who needs a window I am going on this cruise!

We had a verandah on our Dec 04 Wonder 4-day cruise and loved it. We've rebooked for an inside stateroom and I'm sure we'll miss the verandah, but it's better than being at home. Plus we'll have more money for souvenirs!

It'll be me, my DIScrazed DH, DS6, DS2, SIL, BIL, DN and DN. We cruised together last year along with MIL and FIL, and everyone but the MIL and FIL rebooked onboard.

In the mean time, we'll be heading to WDW this December.

As you have read I am solo, this trip. My possible shipmates keep asking what the deposit is and when they can pay, but I haven't seen a penny yet! No pennies, no tickey!

Good job to the pirates!

Welcome, Virginiamama.

We are planning our annual Disneyland trip the week of June 20. We usually try to go there before school is out (crowds :scared1: ), but as we are having a family reunion there we have to do it when all the kids can go. Our oldest DGS started high school this year so we are hesitant to take him out for a week. We have always done that, but we don't think he can make up the work as easily in high school.

We also will be cruising on the Dec 10, 2005 Eastern with my favorite DU (age 79) and his bride (age 74). We were thrilled when he remarried after being a widower for a bit. And we were even happier when his bride told us she would love to sail with us if she could go to St. Thomas.

We are also trying to talk a DN and his wife into going on this 2006 cruise with us. Hopefully.

Just sitting here at my moms house, IT IS SNOWING it has been for the last 5 hours, its not sticking here thoe. My 7 year old is still at state with dh. he made it and is waiting for the 3rd round, we'll see how it goes. have a great day. Had his teacher confrence thursday and he is in the top reading group in his class, and doing great in math. The only thing he is lacking is on his writing skills. (he doesn't like to write stories but does get the capitals and pun. right. She gave him the challange to write on the computer and start emailing to friends, so we will be working on that one, less computer time for me. Well have a great day. Mum of two pirate: pirate:

I did get him to sign up and post on the 10 day thread just a couple of weeks before we left. I'll have to work on getting him involved again. He has entered some photos in the Oregon State Fair and has some hung, got one honorable mention for black and white night shot. He has done some senior portraits, a couple of product shoots, family portraits and of course the weddings that all photographers love. :rotfl2: Our DS's best friend just called him and asked him to shoot his wedding in Sept. Of course, "Dad" could not say no.
He does love shooting nature too.

I have done my share of those weddings but will not do any more. Of course I'll be very polite but it is still no.

I travel alot for work and like to take my camera for those "magic" moments. We went to Dallas for Easter to visit our son and decided to leave my camera at home. Not only were the Bluebonnets blooming, it snowed! I was mad at myself.

I got mine done and mailed on Saturday....

Last year we owed tons of money.....so I wasn't in a big hurry to do them..
Was going to tackle them in February or March but then I got really sick and had to get my gallbladder out.

( Some people will try anything to get out of taxes. ;) )

But I'm much better now and REALLY happy because for the first time in three years we're getting a refund from both feds and state. :cool1:

(Watch..this we be the year we get audited)

But take heart....one of the bosses here at work had to take two days off from work (today and tomorrow to finish his returns.) He'll be one of the last.

The last one, think not. I did do mine in feb, but I also just sent out last years 3 weeks ago. Hows that for late. I would have not even did eather one but DH wanted a new truck this spring so I broke down and did them. We get a refund and have 3 years to file becouse of it. I was going to wait and do them next spring and use the money for our trip to disney. So I will get next years thoe. well gotta go have a great weekend, Brenda

MrsMork

We did ours in Feb, already spent the refund. We don't get a lot back. We try to withhold pretty close to what we will owe. Would rather put the money in a savings account and get a little interest than let the Feds have it interest free all year.

DH will be doing DD's today though.

Good Luck Everyone, on your taxes!!

When i used to take students to Washington DC on School, trips I would point out the IRS building. I told them it was the most feared building in DC, lol.

Did my taxes back in early Feb. and used the refund to cover my, "When is the cruise going to get here, I can wait trip!" for this october. Here in the cold north, we have another 16 days before they are due, and my mother is dropping her's off at the PO on the day we leave for the F&G fest.

We like the brunch at Palo's but will not miss our regular dinner rotation to go. The food is as good as I want but it is the fellowship of our tablemates that we really love and do not want to miss. We still keep in touch with some of them years later.

Me(Melinda)& DH(Dean)will also be on the 12/09/06 cruise. This will be my 4th Disney cruise and Dean's 3rd. This will be our first Disney 7 day cruise but not our first time on the Magic. It should be a little different this time then in '99 when we had less than 2,000 onboard and the spa offered 1/2 price massages on port days to fill slots and on CC day only 3 couples on SB and within a few hours it was just us. Well i booked this cruise on my solo/mousefest cruise last Dec. My DH last words before i left was be GOOD(translation-don't buy any jewelry in Nassau and try to keep the bill low). I got off the ship and called him honey guess what i did and his response was Luuucy do you have some explaneing to do,yup i have a very expensive business card with a new cruise booked(would have spent less on a trinket). I still can't believe the next question out of his mouth was so do i get to come this time...duuhh as i've only gone solo cruising twice and that was due to his lack of having any vacation days. Things we won't miss Palos(Brunch, tea for me and of course dinner)massages for Dean, and Rasul treatment. I still can't believe that it's taken me this long to find this thread.

Do you remember how many passagers they had on your Disney '99 cruise? The reason i'm asking is our cruise was the last part of Oct. and it was only the second time(according to the Captain)they had less than 2,000 aboard. I'm pretty sure that we'll never see such light passenger counts again.

MrsMork
05-06-2005, 04:06 PM
I don't remember the count. I just recall they said it was only about half full. The staff really pushed wine, etc and we figured they were trying to make up some of the $$. Shortly after they started the 7 day cruises, which made sense as they really were competing with themselves. I wonder if there is a website somewhere that lists the number of passengers on all the past cruises.

Hey guys just wanted to hi, havent posted in a while, but thinking of you all. I have been busy with the boys and thier classrooms and been up at my parents lake property, getting it cleaned up for the summer. We had opening fishing season last weekend and had a great time with the boys. They stayed at the lake the night before and I came home and went to the movie and dinner with dh, that was nice. Then sat we went out and spent the day then stayed at my parents sat night and then went to the lake again all day sunday. I can't wait tell it warms up here so we can go camping. I have been trying well realling whining at dh to fix my jet ski. My kids are old enough to ride it know and I mis it. My sister is going to get a wave runner this summer and I probly will if my jet ski doen't get fixed. So I will be gone a lot this summer. I have it so bad for this board I was thinking about getting sat internet and a new laptop to take to the lake but h so no way. no t.v. no disboards. but I can always do it on wed nights when I come into town to go to the store. I love to camp. I thought about camping for a week at dw before the cruise but then I have to get everything there. so we'll be movies and my dh hates to camp but oh well. have a great week.

On this cruise your best shot for a dolphin swim is in Cozumel at Chankanaab. I did this a few year ago on a different cruise and it was a blast. I did save $$ by booking it directly with the park. They offer 2 different type of tour one with a larger group(this is the tour the ships offer)and then the one we did at a higher price with only 6 people/3dolphins and we got to do more than just petting them. We got to ride them by holding on to there fin also they push us by our feet and a few other things i can't remember and then 30 minutes of freestyle swim. So when your comparing don't go by just the price look at the tour description to make sure your comparing apples to apples.

O.k. i'll do my best to remember and keep in mind we paid the extra $$$ for the more deluxe swim offered only at that time directly from the park. We watched a video then we got to meet the dolphins(each swam by for a petting),they then performed some tricks, then each person got to go out and hold on to there fin for a dorsel pull, then each of us got to be push by our feet so that your body came out of the water, and then 30 minutes of freestyle swimming. There might have been more but i can't find my video tape. I would say it was at least an hour for the tour. I don't remember exactly the other things but they do offer food and drinks that are safe. There is also a nice beach area to swim/snorkel in. It's a nice place to spend the day.

I looked online and found Dolphin Discovery that mhelsley mentioned (the one in Cozumel). The web site is: http://www.dolphindiscovery.com

I was looking at the Dolphin Royal Swim= $125 per person. It lasts for an hour. You can book directly through them online!! Sounds like a blast. :fish: Can't wait to swim with the fish!!

One little tip when they push you by your feet slightly arch your back so you'll come out of the water better. They said you didn't need to do anything but we noticed the other guy after us got higher out of the water. Also if you not a good swimmer not to worry everyone is required to wear a vest and they will tow you out so that you can do the dolphin pull and push. We found this bit of info.out as they had to help my MIL. Enjoy your tour. Thank for finding the site as i couldn't remember it.

Hey all, since DCL likes to do special CC gifts on special cruises, ie repo and unique itineraries, do you think that we might get something other than the standard towel? ;)

Althought some people thought the cool blanket for the repo cruise is the new CC gift, last week's cruisers still got the towel as did those on the Wonder. :sad2:

I guess we can keep and eye on the special cruises this fall and the double dips beforeus to see if they get something other than the towel, than we should be looking forward to something interesting too!

Hey hows it going?
I am starting to work on wyatts party stuff for june. We are doing a water theme. The only thing I have gotten so far is the beach napkins. We are getting sand bucket invataions, Then at the $ store they have little bucket sets with a bucket and pail and then a sand mold getting one for each of the kids. We will use the small pail for the snow cones and the sand mold for the cake and ice cream. I think we might get crazy straws and beach balls and or fun noodles. We will have it at the city pool unless I have our pool up. I am thinking probly no pool for us this year as we will be spending a lot of time camping at the, and last year when I went on vacation the dh didn't put the cem. in and it was brown when we got back- as we will be spending so much time at the lake this year I don't want to mess with it.. We are buying a sea.doo, and deeann (my sister) is getting one also. So we will have toys again to play with. (WE both have Jet skis but need to update) We are in the prosses of getting the retainer wall fixed at the lake so we can get the backhoe work done and get the bottem leveled off. Hope we can get it done soon. I am so booked this week and for the next three weekends don (DH) is booked with extra work, He is going golfing for the first time ever this weekend and it is a tournament. He has to go finish the stuff at Dan and Nancys house also (my brothers new house). We went to the girls Dance friday, (there daughters 9&15) they do the harren irish dance. It was great. My son Spencer is doing awsome in baseball this year also. Remember he is 7. Last week he hit two balls way past secound base before they hit the ground, He plays by the pitching machane, and he got the first two balls in the 2nd inning and ran the kids down on thier way to first base and got them out. Then in the third inning he caught a ball and threw it two first base and got both thoes kids out. It was the first doubble play of the year. He is loving it, and I thought he couldn't run. lol. Well I better go as I have so much to do today, I think I had way less work to do when I worked full time. See ya Brenda

BUT, it is a gift and we are enjoying adding to our "set" of towels. :goodvibes We have so far, 2 of the duffel bags and 4 towels. Hey F1Julie: It was a May '02 cruise that got us enchanted with DCL, May seems to be a great time to go. Be careful it was the frist 7 day cruise that hooked us into DVC, lol. Sea air :boat: , green gills  and a DVC contract :earboy2: go well together.

My DD just turned 5 on Sunday, so she'll be 6 1/2 by the time of the cruise. She didn't go to any of the kids clubs on our 3 day, but I'm sure she will on the 7 day.

Let me know if you head up this way. I will be in spokane on the 29th. As my step-daughters 4-h group is going to a dog show and then to the humains soc. afterwards. We are so booked up right now, My DH wants to stay at my brother in laws new house in sandpiont (He just moved over here from seattle area) that weekend, but I don't see it happening right now. If he can swing it, we might go to spokane from thier. If he can get a break and even get the day off maybe we will. He needs a few days off. We would just have to pack some stuff to do on thier private lake, like rafts and such as it is still to cold to swim here. Nice chatten again but gotta go. Mum

We took our DGS on a 4 day just a month after he turned 3. He threw up within 20 min of my leaving him. He was crying very hard and made himself sick. Well, just a couple of nights ago we were talking on the phone (his rotten parents moved him to Phoenix...dirty trick!) and he asked me if I remembered when he got sick on the cruise. I told him I do remember and asked him why he got sick. He said, "I missed you and was scared, but I'm big now and if I was there I would run and play on that Peter Pan ship and go down that slide!" :rotfl: So, guess we need to go try it again. It will help alot to have friends there that he has met on the boards also.

DH and I will be onboard to celebrate our birthdays!! Thanks to PJPoohbear, who saw my post when we decided to book in December 06, for the PM inviting us to join all of you on the cruise!!

I have been so busy watching the Magic for the past week - it was the sailaway party on the cruise board that convinced us to book again.

Does any else have any great ideas?? :confused3 Since this is our FIRST cruise and I'm not rich. My son (will be 12) wants to swim with dolphins. Thoughts?

Welcome Slindamood,

My DW, MrsMork, has been spending A LOT OF TIME, ahem, watching the Magic also. I am jealous because I could not be home to see it. She showed me some of the pictures from the site. Awesome, aren't they. We should have gone. (Heavy Sigh).

Our DD will be celebrating her Birthday too, on Demeber 8. She'll be, ahhh, er, hmmmmm....., :scratchin 38. YIKES !!!! It can't be. She was on the Dec. 2003, 4 day, Wonder Cruise on her Birthday. She got a special Birthday pin, which they don't give out anymore. :charac2: I managed to get one the 2002 Member Cruise. It was my mumblemumble Birthday.

Can't wait to meet everyone. :hourglass

glad you found us. pooh was nice enough to invite me onboard here also. It will be my bithday on 12/11 I will be 35. I think. I will be so old I can't remember anymore. lol. My kids keep me rumming all the time. We went up to my parents lake property today and the the boys were up top playing football with some friends kids that came up to meet us. Well Wyatt (5) was running with a stake knife he found up thier thier and fell and jammed it in the little crease next to his nose. He had so much blood in his mouth and such I had no idea where he hurt himself. It ended up o.k. but couldn't tell and was very scarey for a min. One inch up and it would have been his eye. Leave it to wyatt. I'll report on the accident of the week, next weekend.lol Mum of two pirates

Hi all,

Whoa ! That is a scary incident. Some friends in Montana lost their grandson in a similar manner. It was a hunting arrow he found. He fell while running with it and it went into his eye and into his brain. He was 7. It was so sad. So that old warning, that Mom's always give, is sound advice. Please warn the kids not to run with sticks, or anything sharp, etc., in their hands. Makes my heart sink.

Well, enough sadness. On with the cruise talk

Yeh, that's right it's my ship to invite you all to! LOL! :rotfl2:

Just passing on great information. The more you learn, the more you will enjoy. Getting to know others before the cruise adds to the experience. I know, our first cruise we knew no one on the ship, but on our second, we were able to smile and say hi to all kinds of people that we meet on our cruise meet thread and then later on the ship at our real cruise meet. It added to the entire experience.

I also blame our fellow DIS cruisers for getting us into trouble with that other three letter club DVC. :earboy2:

Mrs. M, DL in 3 weeks, major jealous over here!

For a lady who is suppose to be saving up for our cruise, I will have been to WDW three times since my last cruise in Jan 2004 and a total of four time before the next cruise, DVC is bad bad bad, but so good. Have stayed at both SSR, loved it, and OKW a very relaxing resort! Want to do a different one for the short hop, three nights, before the cruise next December, maybe VWL or BCV. Really just need a bed to rest my head. It would be cool to try out VB, but will not have a car, so that is out.

We are saving for two cruises. Dec 2005 and Dec 2006. BUT saving for cruises does not mean not doing Disney. It means giving up other things. ;) We stayed at BCV last Dec. It was nice and we liked being able to just walk over to Epcot, which is our favorite park.

Next time we go out we will be working on the spots for the tents and getting elec. and water down to the shed from up top. We fianally got our wave runner monday morning, (thought that was never going to happen) and ordered wyatts starfighter from overton today. I cant wait to get it and pull him on it. The boys road it all day with there sister, now if only I could find a used pool slide for the dock. The pain from sprains can last a long time. I know what you mean about the medical $$. I had a kidney stone on the cruise last Dec and had to go to the medical facility on ship. After six cruises, one of them with 2 days at CC, I still found out something about CC that I did not know! We got pictures from DIS friends that were on the Canal Transition Cruise of a ship wreck that you can snorkel out to at the adult beach. Very cool. :cool1: Did anyone know about this? The photos looked like the water was very clear there, as opposed to the family snorkel area were it can get pretty "stirred up". We need to try to do this.

Hey gang,

I took the liberty of setting up a yahoo group. You don't have to use it, but it's there if you do. I love yahoo groups for group communications - it works really well!

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MagicCruisers/

Right now it's set up for anyone to join without approval. I'll wait and see if there are any spammers that join and bounce them appropriately.

Hope I haven't broken any rules by doing this, but if I have, please delete or modify the post.

Looks like we can post pictures of our family and get to know each other thru this. Now I have another question. Would we need to send the pics and info to Bubbasmom (and thanks for doing this!), or can one post to this themselves? DrHug is very good with this stuff and can post for us it we can do it ourselves. The computer is his job, not mine. :rolleyes1

Mom wants to cruise with me that year, so December is out, looking at the first week of November or last of October, she wants to do something other than the Eastern, which we did in Jan '04. We will do the other week at WDW, I really hope that we can do the parks first this time. It is a culture shock to stand in lines and have to take a bus back to your room after the cruise, lol. So only one smoothie for me per day! And no Bingo, that game is expensive onboard and I can't win even a little prize. :confused3

No, no commando. I can relax just like the best of 'em. I've been on a couple of cruises before and we just got back from our 2nd trip to Cancun. But the trip is only 7 days, so you gotta utilize all Disney has to offer. Plus, Goofy FD will show us the ropes! :upsidedow :teeth:

Do we have a comando in our company? :cool1: Will we have to force you to sit back and enjoy the ocean sounds and warm sun on your face? :sunny: :rotfl2: At least on Castaway Cay! :cloud9:

I was so dopey from the seasickness meds last time, am thinking that I might be a comando this cruise. :rolleyes1 I missed so much by being so drozy the whole time. No drugs for me this time or a least no more than half a pill on the days we cross the gulf stream. :guilty:

BTW: We are now planning when we will be taking a 2007 cruise. We always end up looking at each other saying why did we come to WDW after the cruise :confused3 , it would be so much better the other way around.

I will test that theory before the double dip and let her know, lol :earboy2:

Old School Pooh Fan-

Hay, I too am expecting to be seasick. BUT.... I have these braclets that I wear ALL the time in the car. With them on I can even read!! They go on your wrists on a pressure point. I love them because they are "drug free". I bought them at Walmart here in Washington state. I will try to find the exact name for you if you would like. You can also get them at any pharmacy.

Just a note to say I'll be away from the board for awhile but when I get back I'll probably have a lot of time to post.

Today I have a total hip replacement. It'll be a few days in the hospital but about 4 weeks after that at home.

I'm doing this because it will make walking at WDW better. This last trip in June was the worst time for me walking. The doctor says I'll be better than new!

I look forward to seeing you all at the cruise. Till then be good. :goodvibes

Angie, are you here too? LOL! We are debating this weekend since we found a good deal for this cruise. We were going to wait until 12/10 to rebook onboard but with the prices going up so much I doubt that we will be able to do it for anywhere near what we can now. I am trying to adjust to the idea of being on deck 2. :( We really like deck 7 and could get an 8 there but IDK if I can justify the difference to DH. We will know in a couple days.

We will also be on the 12-9-06 Magic double dip cruise! We booked while on the 4-16-05 Eastern. DW and I have our reservation linked with friends in two other cabins (six adults total)! Well I'm back! Today is the first day that my DW would let me have the computer. I hope to get many posts in on this thread and others while I rehab.

It was not a horrible experience at all. The hospital was the best. I was up and walking the very next day. I came home after three days. Each day gets better with movement. The rehab therapist comes three times a week to my home. The staples are out in a week. The best part ... no pain in the joint!

Now just heal so I can make my annual September WDW visit with my 32yo DS.

I look forward to talking more soon. Hope everyone is doing well. Blessings to all.

Well, we were on vacation at the OBX of NC last week and met up with Lisa and her family and she twisted our arms - so here we are . . . We got the very last group room from DU, and now are cruising on 12/10/05 AND 12/9/06! Hard to believe as this is absolutely the FIRST time I have had us booked for two cruises at the same time!

Mrs. Mork, looks like we will be seeing you and your troop twice too!

We are:

John
DW Amy
DD Sophia (who will be 6 going on 7 at the time of this cruise and will be in first grade - also hard for me to believe)

I'll try to get back through this entire thread if I have time, it's hard enough keeping up with the 12/10/05 thread.

Hopping aboard! I think we will be joining you all on this cruise. This will be our first Disney cruise! The rates are killing me, but I will survive down in steerage I suppose! It will be myself (37), DH (40 something) and our dd's, ages 3 and 6 at that time!

So, is CC great enough to want to go twice?? Anyone been to Costa Maya? What is it like? Any golf at that port?

Off to try to read this thread!!

So, is CC great enough to want to go twice??

CC is one of the main reasons DH goes....

He loves the island and insists the he can only float on his back while in the water there.... :rotfl:

We missed CC on our Sept 04 cruise due to Hurricane damage there and he missed it so much we rebooked and went on another cruise in Dec 04. (We did make it that time.)

The x-mas themeing of the ship is great also, which is why we chose the Dec double CC cruise.

From what I remember with the cruises that went to CC twice last year the deals at CC were good for both days. If you paid for bike rental the first day...you got it the second too. That might be an incentive to get a bike & explore more than the family beach this time.

MrsMork

That's right, Lisa. The rentals have been good for both days in the past. We do enjoy the bike trail and getting to use it twice makes it a bargain.

Thanks!!! And we have always had a large balcony cabin. Each one of our cruises we have had the corner aft cabins, which are regular balcony priced cabins, but the size of suites. So, going to such a small inside on a low deck will be a huge change. Just have to hope for an upgrade!

I just wanted to say to everyone. I have been reading but not taking the time to post, as I have been so busy with the boys summer stuff, almost forgot the swim lessons yesterday as I was busy. Anyway no big bumps or scrapes for a while. We head off to Yogi bear campground this friday for 3 days. It is death by chocolate weekend. They have candybar bingo, a hersheys chocolate (with a couple gallons of it) slip and slide for the kids. A pool, mimi golf, bumper boats ect. It is my friends daughters birthday and so we are having a party. Yogi will come and sing happy birthday ect. It will be fun I hthink. My DH has to work again this weekend as he did last weekend at my brothers new house. I feel bad for him, he had two days off for the 4th ( we went camping with my moms cousions) but he still had 42 hours in in the 3 days left in the week, they are just swamped right now. I didn't even get to see him yesterday as he had a firefighting meeting after he got off work last night and didn't get home tell after 9. Well maybe when summer is over we will get to spend some time together. If not I'll have to wait for two weeks next dec huh. Hoping to steal a weekend with him to go to the sandpoint fest. Talk to you later Mum of two pirates

It is crazy busy here too. Kids are out of school for the summer and I am spending my first one at home as a stay at home (really work at home) mom. And it's hard to get any work done, let me tell ya! I just got back from national conference (Pampered Chef) and the house was actually clean -- but nobody did any laundry or dishes so I have some work to catch up on, lol. We have about one more month before school starts, plus a trip to Disneyland next month, so that's going to keep me plenty busy. How will I ever find enough time to scrapbook!

And will somebody please tell me how I am going to manage to wait another year and a half before I hear that beautiful horn blowing in person!

Havent posted for a while, thought I probly should. I had a very realaxed weekend at the campground, even with all the park mess ups with there schedualing and such. The kids swam, did crafts, used the paddle boats, played mimi golf, (seems like a million times) we played candy bar bingo. (everyone brings and puts into the pot a bar, then the winner gets to pick whatever one they want) It was a lot of fun, the kids only lasted about 5 games thoe, so at the end I had 9 cards instead of my 1. We went on a hey hey ride with yogi. The hersy slip and slide was so messy and the kids loved it!. They had and ice cream social, then they brought this guy out saterday night to sing and play music, I made my two girlfriends dance with Yogi so I could get a picture, lol. We had the birthday party saterday. Yogi brought her the cake and sang songs with us and pic. of course. We puthe cake which was half left (costcos cake) back into thier fridge which has a paddle lock only for employees use. We went to go get it sunday and there was hardly any left. One small row. someone saterday night had aten a lot of it. When it was time to check out they couldn't even find us in the computer. So the kid gave us the sights for free and the birthday party. $130. I didn't think it needed to be that extreem but what the heck. eveery time we were in the office, whoever was in there they had messed up there reservations also, must happen a lot. There campground is a timeshare thing it was only $3000, for the free camping all year but I wouldn't want to pay the $350 mait. fee a year to camp. when I do it for free all the time. But like I said I had a lot of fun. We bought a 20 question ball yesterday at walmart you guys should check them out. Tell next time Mum of pirate: pirate:

Hi All! My DH and I plan to cruise on the 12/9/06 Double Dip Magic. That cruise will be our 7th DCL cruise. I haven't booked yet, but will do so when the 11 month window opens for DVC members.

Slindamood -- has your sister-in-law, Gail, told you that we are cruising with you? Well, we are!

This year, I was on the 3 day Wonder in June with my best friend, and her daughter, Alyssa, my goddaughter who is like a granddaughter to me. In 3+ weeks, we will cruise on the 9/3/05 Magic.

On the Double Dip, it'll be just DH and myself (mid and late 50s). We have 3 grown children and 5 precious grandchildren (all under the age of 3.6 years).

Will join back on this thread after our September cruise.
