Every year I get up early and go to the mall for the free snowglobes from JC Penny's. I haven't seen the commercial this year about them so I am assuming they won't have them this year.
I was trying to figure out how I could get extras like I always do since I stick out like a sore thumb now with my bald head and funny hats but now I don't have to. I always got one for me, one for my niece and nephew and a few for those DIS people who couldn't get up in the morning.
If anyone hears different, let me know, I will miss my cute Mickey snowglobe this year. Peggie

First you sue the shampoo company for false advertising. Next you're going to want to sue the department store chain for not having the snow globes on Black Friday this year :)!! Watch out world ... here comes the lady in the funny hats!
Peggie, I'm glad you still have a sense of humor!

There may not be a commercial, but this morning's ad shows one. Classic Mickey standing next to a Steamboat Willie filmstrip. Doors open at 5:30 AM.

They showed them in this morning's newspaper insert...
Remember running up the down escalator to get them a couple of years ago? :D

I saw the snowglobes in the morning paper. Glad JCPEnny didn't let me down. Maybe they were afraid of me, my reputation proceeds me, or the shampoo company called them and told they to start production on the snowglobes quickly the mad lady was angry again.
I will not get up at 5:30 am like Leslie, Cynthia and I did a few years ago, but I will try and get there before 8 am. My nurse arrives here at 9 so I have to be back home by then or she will yell at me and nurses are mean. Peggie

I got my snowglobes. One for me, one for my niece and nephew, one for my daughter-in-law who cooked a great meal in my place yesterday, and one for the first person who contacts me that didn't get up early this am and get out to shop like I did.
they are cute, but not as nice as in the years past. Where they got that weird Mickey is a mystery to me, made in China but I have seen cuter Mickeys from China. Peggie

Oh the memories!! Thanks for reminding me Peggie and Leslie. We had soooo much fun.
Sorry to say I was not able to get to the malls on Friday to pick up my snowglobe. I had to suffer and go to Disneyland instead to take my Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. hee
By the way, they have a new WIWF Tour Pin now, in honor of the 50th Anniversary. Same scene as the old pin, but it is all in gold...no enamel at all. Not sure if I'm happy to have a new pin or disappointed that it's not the screenprint one...that was always one of my favorites. Supposedly they'll bring back the old one after the 50th celebration.
