Sheraton Safari on starwood points

Has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Safari using Starwood Points? Just wondering where they put you. Do you still get a Starwood Preferred Guest room?

i am a starwood member. when i stayed at the sheraton in july they put us on the top floor of the main building. i don't know if this was a preferred room or not but it was great. it was very quiet on the floor the heavenly beds were just that heavenly. on the starwoods website i put in my preference of a feather pillow and that is what was in the room. we had a pool view room which was great. hope this helps.

We've stayed there several times, but not for a couple of years. The door of our room said "Starwood Preferred Guest," but the room didn't seem like anything special. You have to use extra points to get a suite. I've heard that the suites were recently renovated, so I'm looking forward to seeing that.
