To defrost safely, put your turkey in the frig. today. Then you won't be in a panick in a few days with a frozen bird on your hands.::yes:: Been there, Done that!

Took mine out Sunday. I was told for every 5 lbs of bird it takes 1 day to thaw. Mine is 22 lbs so out it came.

I took mine out (17#) last Wednesday and it still isn't thawed out completely. I have it on the top shelf, too!
