Speaking of unique shops:

The old wildhorse store next to the AMC is being converted to a huge interactive magic shop with shows and lessons. In order to fit with everyone elses negativity I will add that I think this is a totally stupid and unoriginal idea how dare they take out a terrific store like wildhorse to add something better, more fun, and entertaining. Just another example of Disney trying to destroy the magic.

Will this magic shop have any tie-in with David Copperfield? I too think its a cool idea! Any idea when the project is to be completed? Thanks

DVC, I think he was being "facetious" not ironic. :)

Not to just troll - The entire Downtown Disney area is a big avoider for us for all the same reasons DVC listed. Rainforest, AMC theater, McD's, Ghiradelli's, even Bongos (and others that I can't think of) are all very close to my home.

We received word of this about a month ago through eyes and ears. It is no rumor. The shop has no tie in with David Copperfield or his cancelled dinner theater project. The shop will have a giant tophat and magic wand facade and looks good in the concept art. Supposed when you walk in you will view a magic demonstration that runs about every ten minutes. then you will enter the shop where you can purchase some of the tricks you just saw and receive lessons from "master " magician as well as browse the large selection of other illusions.

I thought he was being sarcastic?'

So now nobody can say the magic (shop) is gone at WDW, anymore?

This is great news! Although I wish they would put the shop back on Main Street where it belongs :)

I always loved the old magic shop.

Thanks for the update.
