Mine do not last long--about 10 minutes. I have a Sharp with the screen. Please tell me how long yours last so I know if there are better ones. Thanks!

We bought a new camcorder and extra battery for our April 2001 trip. It a new type of battery that doesn't need to be drained to charge. The 3 hour battery really is only good for about 2.5 hours which is plenty for us! We took 4.5 hours of video which I edit down to 2.5 hours and 12 rolls of film!

Is it HI-8 or digital? Thanks!

and the battery that comes with the camera does not last long at all, I thought it was just me! But I bought another one that lasts
alot longer than the 20 minutes it came with so I use that one all the time and keep the other for back up.

The model is VL-H42OU Hi8, it has a 20x zoom and a 4" screen. If this is your camera as well the longer lasting battery model number is BT-H11. The one supplied with the camera is BT-N11, you don't want another one of those ;-)

It is a sharp battery. I checked my owners manual and it says you can call the Sharp Supplies Center at 1-800-642-2122. (I dont know if I'm not supposed to do that on here, sorry!!)

If this is not your camera, maybe you can still call them to find out if there is a longer lasting battery for your model.

Good luck!!

I'll work on it. My camera is from 1996.
