My DH and I had an anniversary trip planned to Tuscon in Sept. We had to cancel because my mother had a stroke and I went home to ND to be with her. With two "free" airline tickets ($100 change fee for each) that have to be used before the end of the year--we decided to try WDW for the weekend of Dec. 2.
On Monday, I booked a studio for one night at OKW and one night at the Pop Century but waitlisted for BWV. Tuesday I got a call that the second night at OKW came through. Wednesday I got a call that they had the two nights at BWV.
We're SO excited. A trip for just the two of us. We're the proud parents of three teenage boys so time away together is hard to find. We get to stay at a new place (BCV is our home). And to top it off--we have tickets to MVPCP and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. I've always wanted to see the Christmas decorations at WDW but we've never been able to manage a trip at that time of year.
Life doesn't get much better than this!

Congratulations! There are many out there who don't believe that it is possible to make DVC reservations inside of 11 months. I hope that you and your husband have a fantastic trip!

Aren't last minute trips the greatest. That's how our girls trip came about! I love them. Have fun!

Thanks for all the kind wishes! I just had to share the news becuz I thought it impossible to pull something together so quickly. DVC is awesome! We've only scheduled trips before 11 months in advance so what a great surprise to have this work out.
btw--I'll be seeing my mother again the following weekend. They are in San Diego for the winter and I have to travel for work to Irvine. She's doing OK--a stroke is a huge life changing event.
It once again makes you realize how precious life is.
13 days and counting!
Now if I could only figure out how to do a countdown timer. Ha!
